Export to powerpoint - maybe webutil?

I need the ability to export some charts and reports to PowerPoint. Does anyone have any tips on accomplishing this?
I have seen several postings about a product called webUtil. Can this be used in the portal? How do I get it?
Thanks,
Don

Don, webutil is only for use with Oracle Forms, not with Oracle Portal.
WebUtil is a utility which provides much of the client side functionality taken for granted with a client/server application by providing a set of pre-written Java Beans and an API to perform client side functions such as Host, OLE integration and Text_IO running on the client browser machine.
Please see: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/WebUtilFAQ.htm

Mick.

  • Error when changing the color of the dashboard and exporting to PowerPoint

    Dear All,
I have been facing an issue with exporting my dashboard to PowerPoint.
I did a first version of the dashboard, exported to PowerPoint and sent to a client. All worked fine and the client could open and customize the dashboard. After that, I was asked to change the color of all lines and backgrounds of the dashboard, so that it would fit the product colors we are working with.
After this color change, the client cannot open the PowerPoint with the dashboard anymore because an error message appears saying that "Microsoft PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Some more details about the error are: AppName: powerpnt.exe; AppVer: 10.0.6842.0; ModName: ntdll.dll; ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180; Offset: 00010f29.
Any thoughts about what might be happening?
I'm working with Office 2007 and Xcelsius 2008 but I'm saving the ppt in the previous version because the client is working with Office 2003.
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa

If you have the clip in your viewer window
to change the speed it is in themotion tab.
I also use the right click alot and run in to this problem.
You could just pull the clip to the end of your timeline,
    adjust the speed,
then place the clip back where you want it.
But that is not an efficent work flow

  • Does latest Keynote export to Powerpoint? Does it do it well?

I am running the previous version, and exporting from it to Powerpoint is dicey. Does Keynote 08 do it any better, i.e., more accurately?
    Thanks
    Sean

No, as far as I've seen, exports to PowerPoint still requires a good deal of work if you have complex presentation. While it may improve, I don't think Keynote's export will ever be anywhere near as good as one of the PowerPoint clones (like in Neo Office) or PowerPoint itself.

  • Batch Export to Powerpoint?

    Hello,
I'm in a bind, I have to take about 500 .pdf files and export them into Powerpoint.
I know how to 'Export File To: Powerpoint Presentation' but I want to create a Batch command to export all of my PDF files to Powerpoint.
But this option isn't under the Action Wizard.... All other 'Export To' options seem to be there but I can't find Export To Powerpoint.
Thanks for the help, I really don't want to manually export 500 files. If you have any suggestions, even Automator scripts etc. I'm at a loss.

Add a Save command, and then edit it, and you'll see it there. It looks like this:

  • Trouble exporting to Powerpoint

I have a presentation that I'm trying to export to powerpoint. I keep getting an error message about 2/3rds of the way throught the process and it won't go any further. Are there certain transitions or something that would stop this?

The problem with Keynote 2 was with bullets. If they were formatted in a particular way that Keynote couldn't handle, they wouldn't export.
One way to fix this is to remove the bulleted master slides from the presentation. This forces you to select a non-bulleted master which hopefully won't have the problem. There's another solution where you can just change the setting within Keynote, but I don't have my Mac in front of me to be able to say what specific steps to take. It involved going into the Text block bullet settings and making a choice where it's currently blank.

  • Export to powerpoint not working for certain views

    Hi All,
I am in the process of implementation of STVN 2.1 Pre EHP3 version of Nakisa OrgChart for one of my clients.
During testing, it is observed that export to powerpoint object is not working for the following views.
    1. Condensed Org. Chart
    2. Compressed OrgChart -Only works when we expand at least one position
    3. Horizontal OrgChart - Condensed children-Only works when we expand at least one position
In all the other views the export to Powerpoint object are working fine.
Export of powerpoint image is working in all the scenarios. We are facing issue only with powerpoint object.
I have implemented Export Pack 3.0 for OrgChart.

    Hi Luke,
    Thanks for the response.
Yes...I have installed SP1.0. I have also applied Export Pack 3.0.
The following features are working fine.
    1) Export to PDF
    2) Export to JPEG
    3) Export to Powerpoint Image.
Export to Powerpoint Object is also working fine if the style is 'Vertical'. The issue is only in case of 'Condensed', 'Compressed' and 'Horizontal OrgChart - Condensed children' sytles. Here again, if we expand at least one position, the export is working.
The error message that is flashed for the user is the usual one....pasted below.

You may also be prompted to allow the ActiveX to run. If so, you must select 'Yes' to continue.
Note: If you are not prompted and the export fails to occur, please verify your Microsoft Office installation and verify your browser's ActiveX settings are set to 'Enable' or 'Prompt'.

  • Printing and Exporting to Powerpoint

    Hello,
I'm a relatively new user of Xcelsius and hoping someone could guide me through the problems I have come across.
First -  Printing:  I've exported the Dashboard I created using Adobe and now looking to print it.  For some reason, when I print from the Adobe file the page always comes out blank.  The only way for me to print the Dashboard is to do so from Xcelsius in the preview mode.  How can I, and those receiving the Dashboard, print from the Adobe file?
Second - Exporting to Powerpoint:  I have problems exporting to Powerpoint.  I can export to Adobe and Word without issue; however, when I go to export to Powerpoint, all that appears is a blank grey canvas when Powerpoint initially opens.  How can I export to Powerpoint so that it works on each try?
Third - Creating a slide show of Dashboards:  I'm looking to create multiple Dashboards and have them displayed in one presentation to run in one slide show.  I've tried to copy and paste different Dashboards into a presentation but it won't allow me to do so.  Is there a way that I could have multiple Dashboards in one presentation and run continuously as a slide show?

    Hi Jennifer,
you need to start slideshow to see the swf in the powerpoint.
If it still does not work, you can export your dashboard to swf and insert the swf manually into powerpoint slide. You can see this thread
    Re: Export to PowerPoint
    or this link
    http://www.mix-fx.com/tutorials/importpowerpoint.html
for details on how to do it. The same way, you can export several swf files and insert each one in a separate powerpoint slide in your presentation.

  • Problem exporting to powerpoint - blank or permanently 'initializing'

    Hi all,
I am having a nightmare trying to export my dashboard to powerpoint.  It works ok in word.  I can open the swf in explorer fine. But it does not work in PDF.
Everytime I try to export to powerpoint, it comes up with the message u2018server busyu2019 and gives me the option of u2018switching tou2019 or u2018retryu2019.  When I click on u2018switching tou2019 a couple of times, it finishes.  However,  I end up with a blank presentation or a white presentation with a permanent u2018initializingu2019 in the middle that doesnu2019t work in slide show mode.
When I try and open the same file I have created in office 2003, it works fine (apart from some slight moving of text which I can deal with u2013 for now).
I am using Xcelsius engage with SP3.2 with office 2007, flash 10.1 and my computer is on XP.
    Please, please help!!

    Hi there,
I have posted a suggestion via this link [Server Busy issue with Xcelsius|Re: Server Busy; or you can refer to my following steps:
    1. Open the Windows Task Manager.
    2. Go to tab Applications and look for task Microsoft Excel - Compatibility Check and double click on it. This action will bring you to the small windows of Excel which alerts you about the compatibility check of the Excel file.
    3. Click button Continue to process the import.
    4. Go back to Xcelsius and click Retry button to import the Excel sheet.
    Well, the issue is solved.
Hopefully this tips will be useful for you.
    Cheers,

  • Exports to PowerPoint not editable

My exports from Keynote to PowerPoint will play, but they crash whenever I try to edit them. Any suggestions?
I am also losing my builds of bullet points on the slides. They all appear at once. I have exported builds before without problem, so I am puzzled by this new quirk.

  • Export to PowerPoint without bullets

Whenever I run a presentation I want it without the annoying bullet blobs, so I remove these from my theme. However, when exporting to PowerPoint (2003) these bullets reappear. Is there any way to prevent this or have I got to start creating my presentations in PowerPoint again?
    Thanks in advance

    A few important things...
Leave the System/Library/Fonts folder alone, unless you really know what you're doing in there. Mess all you want in the other 3 locations, but leave that one alone (you can tank your system by removing things from that folder if you're not careful).
Also, it doesn't surprise me that some of the system fonts don't show in Fontbook, I think they're simply system level fonts that you can't normally use to type with.
Here's a quick rundown, just so you won't be confused
    System>Library>Fonts
This is the system level folder, and you should always be careful of what you remove from this folder. Don't ever add anything to this folder...heck, just forget it's there.
    Library>Fonts
This is the top level fonts folder. No matter how many users you set up on your machine, they will ALL always see this folder. On my machines, this is the folder I use for my fonts (well, now I use Font Agent Pro to manage them, so there's nothing in that folder).
    User>Library>Fonts
THis is the user fonts folder. If you have more than one user, installing fonts in one users folder means the other users won't see them. I tend to empty this folder and move those fonts into the Library>fonts folder just so I don't have overlap (which the system doesn't seem to mind though).
    hope that helps!

  • Export to powerpoint to run on Vista notebook and h264 decompressor message

I am using Keynote 08 to create a presentation with several Quicktime videos. I plan to use a Macbook to present, but have exported to Powerpoint to put on my Windows Vista notebook as a backup in case of a problem (learned the hard way). Anyway, I export to Powerpoint fine, burn to a DVD and when I load it to my Windows machine and get to a slide with a video clip embedded, I get the message "Quicktime and an H264 decompressor are need to see this picture."
I have Quicktime player 7.2 loaded on my laptop. Why I am getting this message and what do I need to do to get this to run on my Vista notebook?
    Roger

I would suggest exporting from Keynote as a quicktime file. It'll run in quicktime on your PC.

  • Export to Powerpoint and modify

    Hello,
On TVN 3.0, is it possible to export the chart to powerpoint and to modify the result?  As far as remember from version 2.1, export to powerpoint only generate a slide with a jpg embedded.  I wanted to know if this has been changed with later versions.
    Thanks,
    Laurent

In 3.0 the Export to PPT has 2 options; Image or Object.
Image is as you describe (picture file dropped onto a PowerPoint slide).
Object creates a 2007 SmartArt object in PPT which is plainer to look at (plain text boxes with lines joining them up) but has the advantage that you can edit, move, delete and create boxes on the chart.

  • Unable to export to PowerPoint from Xcelsius 2008

Xcelsius 2008 does not export to Powerpoint, it doesn't do anything.  I have clicked on the button to export and tried going to the File - Export to - . . .  but nothing happens.
    Please assist.

    David,
I've read the Xcelsius2008_release_notes_en.pdf on the installation disc.  (especially when going to Adobe's articles for Flash 8 & 9) A lot of reading, most of which I do not understand but get the jest of it.  I must say that I do not think that this is the 'problem' here. I do not get any 'warnings' of any kind that it cannot do that function.
At first when I tried to export from Xcelsius 2008 into Powerpoint it would not do anything as you may recall.  Then when I opened up the Task Manager it started working.  (NOTE:  when I hover my mouse icon over the export buttons in Xcelsius usually this pops up a bubble stating 'what' it would do if I click on the button.  There are only two buttons where something displays when I hover my mouse and those are  "Export to Outlook and Export to Business Objects Platform".  None of the other buttons seem to have this bubble.
Now I am trying to export to Powerpoint again with another file and it opens Powerpoint but the screen is blank and there is no view slideshow option.  It will however let me export to just a plain 'swf' format.  Which is not acceptable for our purposes.  My boss said I should UNINSTALL Xcelsius 2008 and REinstall it again.
    Any solutions or ideas???????

  • Will Keynotes for the iPad soon be able to export as PowerPoint

I want to use the keynotes app on my iPad to make a PowerPoint for French. I can get power points from my computer to go my iPad, but I can't export my presentations from the app onto PowerPoint. I saw that the keynotes for the Mac can save as PowerPoint, will the keynotes app for the iPad be able to export as PowerPoint in the future?

Yoshi you need a icloud.com account which will link your apple id to it.
When you signin you will see a app that looks like iwork app then you click on it and it will take to the place where the powerpoint, word, excell are store. After you click on the iwork app on icloud there should be a chose to choose the keynotes, pages, number right i  the  upper middle of the screen. Choose the keynotes option then upper right corner of your computer s rescreen there should be a icon that looks like a gear click on it and there should be an option to upload your powerpoint to icloud account the  go to your ipad than click on the keynote app and it should be upload to your ipad then you can view on your ipad.

  • DPS Export for PowerPoint ver. 34

I have Office 2010 installed on my workstation. Also, have Adobe CC installed with the DPS tools installed. I downloaded DPS Export for PowerPoint ver. 34 and attempted to install several time and it keeps erroring out that there is not a version of PowerPoint installed on my workstation. Any advise? All installed apps up to date.

Just found the answer. I'm running a 64bit system and Office 2010 is also 64 bit. It seems the plugin only works on 32bit Office. At least according to what I'm finding. My workstation is Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
