Export to SD Card?

Is there any way to export photos from iPhoto and then upload them back into the SD card in my camera so I can use the SD card in a digital photo frame that I have?

I don't have a card reader myself. I've been meaning to get one, but I want a firewire and haven't found one yet for an SD card.
Go to Amazon.com and search for card readers. I find the reviews for the products a good indication of their reliability.
What kind of cards does your digital photo frame accept. How large of a card does it accept?
I would get the largest size card and card reader to go along with it.
Download and use the software product I linked to.
It seems being able to drag the images out of iPhoto and into the card (with the Photo Copy software) would make life very simple for you.
You don't even have to use the card for your camera as this card and card reader can be used specifically for the photo frame.
To delete the images from the card so you can add different ones, you would use Image Capture to delete the images or select images on the card.
Once you have deleted images from the card, then run the Photo copy software and iPhoto to add more images.
Good luck and come back and tell us how it all works out.

  • Iphoto `11 album won't export to sd card or desktop folder

    i have an album created in iphoto '11 that includes digital photos and scanned jpeg files of old photos going back to the 1920s.  i would like to put them on an sdhc 4gb memory card and then use this in a digital photo frame.  when i try to export, i get the message "unable to export/Volumes/NONAME.  i tried to copy the photos using select all and exporting them to a folder on my desktop -- the order and renaming is lost; also, when i try to copy the folder onto the memory card, i get a blocked symbol.  i've tried drag and drop and it doesn't work either.  i'm very new to iphoto and cannot seem to find simple instructions anywhere on the web.  i'm working with mac os x lion.  please help!

    Se #2 above
    2 - order is a function of the viewing program - not the exporting program - for example the finder can view files in name order, date created order, date modified order, size order, etc - files have no order  - the viewing program determins that
    So you can determine what viewing order you are going to use in the viewing program and make the album match that
    Often people view in alpha order - so when you export use the sequential numbering option and the alpha sort in the viewing program will match the album order

  • Export to SD card for car stereo - use lower bitrate?

    Okay, so my fancy new car stereo has an SD card slot, and the stereo reads a file structure so I can have folders for each Artist, and in that a flofer for each album, with MP3 files inside. I can see tha ther easiest way to populate an SD card is to copy the artist folders directly from the itunes music folder in Finder.
    But... all my MP3s in iTunes are ripped at 192kbs, and to fit more on an SD card I'd like to use smaller versions.
    Can't work out a way to do this easily. I can create lower bitrate verions using "create new version" but there are then stored in the same folders so I get two copies of each song. Can anyone sugegst a way of exporting a whole batch of songs (several thousand) to a new folder at a reduced bitrate?
    Or converting a batch?
    Or suggest some other idea to create a reduced bitrate SD card without having to look at each MP3 file idividually (which all the solutions I've considered so far seem to need).

    Still not quite achieving what I'm aiming at. I've found scripts to batch-convert an export, but the newly created files are then just 'loose' in folders and not nested as artists and albums. I've found other scripts to export with the file strucure intact. But not both.

  • Can't export to SD card

    I'm trying to load photos from iPhoto to my mother's new Christmas present digital photo frame which is not Mac compatible. I made a new iPhoto folder of the photos I want, then tried dragging that onto the camera device icon in iPhoto. No go. Then I copied the photos to CanonSNDR which showed up on my desktop as a folder of that name. But when I drag the folder or select all the photos and drag to the Canon window, it won't copy. I have a Canon PowerShot S2 with a blank 1 GB SD card that is empty. It's only 171 photos. How do I get the photos from iPhoto onto the memory card in the camera? The card is one I've used lots so I know it is okay (unlike the 4 GB card that read card error when I put that in the camera).

    Am I correct in guessing that the card is in the Canon?
    Canon - in their infinite wisdom - make their cameras specifically so the won’t show on the desktop. The solution is to pop the card into an inexpensive USB card reader, and then it will.

    TD
    Why use a Card Reader?
    Because it’s safer: Less risk of your images being lost if your camera shuts down during transfer.
    Because it saves the battery on your camera
    Because it saves wear and tear on your camera ports
    Because it’s almost always faster.

  • I've exported many credit card pdf statements to excel. However there are two months where I just get rubbish returned in the Excel tab and in word. Is this a bug?

    Has anyone taken out the Adobe Export PDF program that converts PDF to word or excel and had the same experience of it failing in certain circumstances?

    Hi chrisvale,
    How well a file converts depends largely on the quality of the original file.
    Please let me know does it occur with all files or with specific?
    Are you trying to access the service via web browser or via Adobe Reader?
    If you're using Reader, choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you're using the latest version of Reader. You should have Reader 11.0.10.

  • Export AddressBook card data to Thumbdrive

    I occasionally need to update my iBook's AddressBook cards from my iMac (main computer, where I collect addresses).
    How can I export/copy current cards to a thumbdrive, to then copy onto (offsite) iBook?
    I do not want to copy the complete AB app every time I want to transfer the data.
    Thanks,
    PP

    Thanks for the tip, but I am confused: when I select "All" in the "Group" column, one card is always highlighted, no matter what I do. It does not allow me to cannot de-select to a no card default.
    In the "File" pull-down, under "Export", only type of "Export" shows up: "Export vCard".
    I assume, selecting and exporting then only moves the one card that is highlighted/selected, not all?
    Please clarify: Do I just ignore the highlighted/selected card in "all'?
    Thanks,

  • [JS]::[CS3] - Exporting a PDF

    Hi folks,
    I am having some difficulties exporting a pdf using javascript.
    The code I am using looks like this:
    myDocument.exportFile( ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE, new File(pathToFile) );
    myDocument is a business card sized document. When my script is run from CS4 on a mac this code works fine. It exports a business card sized PDF.
    However in CS3 on Windows it exports the artwork into a letter sized PDF. I don't think that it is a Windows problem I just happen to only have access to CS3 on windows and CS4 on a mac.
    I'd appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this and give me some pointers on how I can ensure my pdf is the correct size (the same size as the document).
    cheers
    Ben

    Have you setup the exportPresets?
    Look at the ExportPDFWithOptions.jsx from the indesign_scripting_guide_scripts?
    Your export settings might be different in the two applications.

  • How do I copy photos from my computer back onto my SD memory card?

    I have saved my photos from my camera SD memory card into iphoto. I then deleted the photos from my SD card. Now I want to copy some of these photos back onto the SD card. What are the steps to copy photos from my computer back onto my SD card? (One reason I want to do this is so I can play some of them on my digital photo frame).

    Select the photos in iPhoto and export them in the size you want for your frame to a desktop folder (file menu ==> export)
    Mount the card to the desktop (in your camera if it mounts - otherwise in a USB card reader) and drag the photos form the desktop folder to the card

  • Java Card RSA public key problem

    Hello,
         I have a problem when I try to set the modulus part of a RSA public Key. There is always an error 6F 00.
    The code is very simple :
    private void saisie_modulus(APDU apdu)
              byte apduBuffer[] = apdu.getBuffer();
              if (!pin.isValidated ())
                   ISOException.throwIt(ISO7816.SW_SECURITY_STATUS_NOT_SATISFIED);
              byte byteRead = (byte)(apdu.setIncomingAndReceive());
              rsa_PublicKey2.setModulus(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
              return;
    What is really strange is that when I replace
    rsa_PublicKey2.setModulus(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    with rsa_PublicKey.setModulus(rsaPublicKey, (short)6, (short)128); that works. (rsaPublicKey is an array containing the key and it's taken from the sample CryptoTest that comes with Axalto software)
    I tried to enter on the apdu the exact same modulus value of the public key of the sample CryptoTestand it doesn't work
    I tried another examples that I tested elseware and it doesn't work either
    the rest setKey composents work (same functions but with
    rsa_PublicKey2.setExponent(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    rsa_PublicKey2.setP(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    rsa_PublicKey2.setQ(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    rsa_PublicKey2.setPQ(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    rsa_PublicKey2.setDP1(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    rsa_PublicKey2.setDQ1(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead);
    in the place of
    rsa_PublicKey2.setModulus(apduBuffer, (short)ISO7816.OFFSET_CDATA, (short)byteRead); )
    Do you have any ideas? Is this possible to have a bug in the card? I use a Cyberflex 64k V2
    Thank you in advance

    Yes, I did enter the key by hand (as I did with the Exponent, P, Q , PQ, DP1 et DQ1 and it worked).
    And I did enter by hand the EXACT same key (128 bytes) of the array rsaPublicKey to test.
    I repeat that when I type
    rsa_PublicKey.setModulus(rsaPublicKey, (short)6, (short)128);
    that works
    but when I enter manually (by hand) the EXACT same key (128 bytes beginning from byte 6) it doesn't work
    I even generated a key in the card and I exported its modulus (128 bytes). I entered by hand the exact same modulus (copy - paste to be precise) that was exported and the card did not accept it.
    This problem only happen with the modulus I repeat
    Any ideas?
    I begin to suspect a technical problem. I don't

  • Importing Addresses in Address book from text file

    Hello all,
    I am attempting to import my address books from Microsoft Outlook into the Address book on the Macintosh.
    More specifically, I have several distribution lists under Outlook that I use to send out various newsletters from where I work. These distribution lists have addresses that are specifically NOT within my Contacts under Outlook.
    So far, I HAVE been able to get the 400 email addresses exported into a plain text file. This text file has only the email addresses, one per line within the text document.
    The problem I have been having is finding some way to make this information "useful" for the address book program. Attempting to import the text file doesn't work (understandably, since I assume the program will only see the text document as "one" card.)
    So my question is, how can I import these 400 addresses into the address book under a specific grouping or distribution list? Is there some way I can create individual vcards for EACH of these addresses, THEN import them?
    Or am I doing things all wrong from the get-go, and need to attempt something else?
    Here' hoping you can help!!
    Thanks

    Here's instructions. I find it hard to believe that this much work is required, but I'm not at home and so I can't experiment with my Mac.
    <http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050828200319417&lsrc=osxh>
    I was thinking that you might just want to drag contacts from Outlook to a folder in Windows -- all the contacts get exported to individual "cards" which I'm pretty sure you can import directly into Address Book.
    As for your distribution lists -- I wouldn't be surprised if Mac OS requires everyone on the list to appear in Address Book. If you try creating a list manually, can you include recipients that don't go in Address Book?

  • THE Solution for partial sync or no sync of contacts and calendars and iPhone malfunctions!

    Alright. So...this worked for me too. Finally...and no hlep from the apple store OR apple care! Got a new phone from apple store...FAIL...no call back from Sr. Tech...FAIL.
    So...I did the following:
    On the phone first:
    1) Switch to airplane mode
    2) Reboot phone by holding top key and front button until apple logo appears (not red slider to turn off phone)
    3) Settings - iCloud - Turn contacts OFF - Delete From Phone (make sure you get a check mark after completion)
    Then on the Mac:
    4) Open address book on mac
    5) Command + A to select all contacts in address book...double tap trackpad and export as V card
    6) Command + A to select all contacts in address book...goto Edit...drop down menu and choose delete cards
    7) Verify all are deleted on iCloud because the address book is synced to my iCloud account
    8) Drag and drop vcard backup back into all contacts in address book or choose import from File menu in address book
    9) Verify all contacts were back on iCloud by visiting iCloud on my computer's browser
    Back to the phone:
    10) Turn Airplane mode off...make sure I connected to my WiFi network
    11) Settings - iCloud - Turn contacts ON
    Voila! Got 483 of my 488 contacts...good enough for me...only had 99 to 149 for the past month!!!!
    OH - This also fixed my calendar issue...all my appointments are back!
    Hope this helps somebody!
    - Beau

    I just looked a little further in the forums and found this thread. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2048666&tstart=15

  • How do I transfer contacts from iCloud to my phone?

    The Apple guy at the store moved all my contacts to iCloud and restarted my phone. Now all my contacts are gone from the phone but are still in iCloud. How do I get them back on the phone?

    Hi
    I just figured out how to restore contacts from icloud....
    Try this if you already have the contacts tab turned on in iclouds on ur phone settings...& it still have no contacts:
    Go to icloud.com - contacts
    bottom left hand corner is the gear icon which is settings - then select all
    This selects all your contacts then go to export as tv card or something like that
    A window pops up asking u to save - save onto ur computer where u can access easily
    go to ur email, compose new email & attach the saved contact list that u just saved onto ur computer
    on ur phone open mail, then open ur email with the attached contacts
    open the attached contacts - at the top it will say ' add all contacts' select that
    then it will pop up 'create as new contacts' or 'merge contacts'
    i selected create as new contacts as iphone 4 deleted all my contacts from my phone
    after a while it downloaded all my contacts back onto my phone which I double checked by entering the contacts app from my iphone
    so happy i got all my contacts back yay! i had over 400!!!

    Another question is that I dont understand why I get a constant length string when I encrypt a text on the card and variable length string when I encrypt off the card

    I thought that exponent was 3 bytes long...
    On the card I have the following code:
        private void GetExponent (APDU apdu) {
            if (pin.isValidated()){
                byte apduBuffer[] = apdu.getBuffer();
            short bytesExp = publicKey.getExponent(apduBuffer, (short) 0);

                 apdu.setOutgoing();
                 // indicate the number of bytes in the data field
                 apdu.setOutgoingLength((short)bytesExp);
                 // at offset 0 send 128 byte of data in the buffer
                 apdu.sendBytesLong(apduBuffer, (short)APDUDATA, (short)bytesExp);
            } else {
                ISOException.throwIt (ISO7816.SW_SECURITY_STATUS_NOT_SATISFIED);
        }And if I don't send an APDU with length expected, I get the exception 6C03 (Correct Expected Length (Le) = 0x6C00) so I send APDU with 03 length and I receive the exponent. The problem is that there is a well know bug in getExponent and it returns 00 00 00... so I set it up to 65537 outside the card.

  • Trying to delete my Contacts Storage using Clear Data button however it's Unavailable

    Just recently upgraded to a Droid Razr (been a long time blackberry user) and really just beginning to understand some of the features.  During the initial setup I didn't handle my contacts the way I would have preferred and would like to start over.  From what I can decipher, I should be able to go to Settings>Applications>Storage Use> and then chose "Contacts Storage" to completely delete my contacts via the "Clear Data" button.
    However, the "Clear Data" button is grayed out and unavailable.  I've tried using "Force Stop" thinking that if this application currently had the data in an open state then that might be why is was unavailable.  However, it doesn't appear that "Force Stop" ever actually stops the application and it certainly doesn't allow me to chose "Clear Data" afterwards.
    Does anyone know how I could either make the "Clear Data" button available or another method to completely remove my contacts?
    Some other info that might be helpful:
    Hardware: Droid Razr
    Android Version: 2.3.6
    Data Size: 31.29MB
    I do not want to "root" my phone at this time.  If I were going to make a wild guess, I think it could be related to Backup Assistant (same idea that if an application has locked the data, it's not read/writable).  However, I don't see any way in the phone to disable Backup Assistant to test this theory.  Furthermore, I have disabled sync with all other contact services (facebook, linkedin, etc.) so if I can ever delete my contacts... the deletion won't propogate to my original sources.
