Export .txt format

I have a special need to convert and export short segments of audio data (less than one million data points) to Microsoft Excel for exploratory detailed waveform analysis. File format .txt is a satisfactory export format for the job.  Several years ago I could do what I need to do and export in .txt format using Cool Edit Pro (actually Cool Edit 96?); now I no longer have a working copy of Cool Edit.
When I first called about Audition I was told by one of the Adobe Creative Cloud sales people that the .txt export capability was maintained and still available in Audition.
I am currently testing a trial copy of Audition but do not see .txt as a choice for file export.  Am I overlooking something?
If .txt export is not available through Audition I would be interested in buying outright a working copy of the now outdated Cool Edit Pro application - - I understand that the rights to Cool Edit became the property of Adobe several years ago.
Kindly note that the free download of Cool Edit Pro available on the internet is an old trial copy of Cool Edit Pro that has limited functionality and quits running within thirty days - - not a viable alternative for me.
I will be most happy if I am simply overlooking something in trying to use it and can count on Adobe Audition for .txt export.  Please help me in any way you can.  Thank you.

I think the help line mis-informed you...the same question was asked a few months back and Charles Van Winkle (from the developers of Audition) answered here:  Re: Can Audition CC export ascii (.txt) like older versions of Audition? If so, how?
However, I'd say it might be worth messaging Charles with the details of your need and maybe submit a new feature request.

  • Create SSRS report export option pipe delimited .txt format for subscription in sharepoint integrated mode

    I'm trying to research a way of creating a  custom export option called Pipe.txt. Which is just a pipe delimited .txt format option for a report that i have that requires this format. This report will set up in a subscription that'll run a daily basis

    I'm running on a SharePoint Integrated Mode. I have seen the option of changing the rsreportserver.config file which doesn't work in my case because the file doesn't exist in integration mode. I was wondering what are some ways or possibly some links to
    achieving this because I've ran into dead ends or execution option i don't understand.

    Hi Ken,
    Thanks for the reply. The project I am working on is a test project for a customer. They could potentially want a number of their educational subjects presented as an interactive text book. The intent of this first project with them is to establish a logical workflow that will allow us to efficiently estimate costs and allow for review throughout the design process. Having worked with customers on creative projects in the past I can anticipate that they will want a number of changes made once they see a working version of the interactive text book.
    It is a grim reality that no project can be fully edited and planned prior to working on it and I know revisions and changes are always made once the customer can see their product. It is ok with me if there is no easy way to pass the text back and forth from the customer and me without having to reformat everything but I just want to know that is the way it works in order to provide a realistic time estimate for the project.
    My hope was I would be able to export the formatted text, allow them to make edits and then reimport that formatted text. The style sheets I am using are from one of the iBooks Author templates.
    Do you know if there is a way to use (or export ) this style sheet so it can be used in a Pages Document?
    Or, would the best option be to have the customer install iBooks Author? This would require the customer to have a mac and the software so it doesn't work for all cases.
    Another idea I was considering would be to export the book as a PDF and have the customer add markup and notes to the PDF.
    All of these options do not seem too great to me.
    I am open to any ideas.
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Pagenumber and totalpagecount is always shown 1/1 for .txt format.

    When I export my report in .txt format somehow the pagenumber/totalpagecount is always shown 1/1.So I had placed formulae as page_num :-
    whileprintingrecords;
    if recordnumber  = 1  then 1
    else if recordnumber mod 10 = 0 then int ( recordnumber / 10 ) + 1;
    and a formulae for total page count as :-
    if isnull ( {rpt.account_number} ) then 1
    else if count ({rpt.account_number} ) <= 10 then 1
    else if count ( {rpt.account_number} ) > 10 then   int ( count ( {rpt.account_number} ) / 10 ) + 1;
    This formulae worked fine for all reports except 1 where we required to suppress some of the records in the report according to a flag.
    example : there are 10 accounts of flag a,b,c,d.We needed to show only those flags having 'a' or 'b' flag.The rest of the records were suppressed as in the summary of report only count(c) and count(d) was required.Display of these records were not needed. But the total page count and page number formulae failed in this case as it also took into consideration those accounts too which are to be suppressed.
    What alternative can be applied? Is there anyway that the problem of pagenumber/totalpagecount always showing 1/1 for .txt export can be solved.If not what change can be done in the formulae I have written?Any completely different suggestion is also acceptable.Only the criteria is that it is compulsory for me too export the report in .txt format.
    Please suggest!!

    Hi Som
    Can you try using the following formula:
    totext(PageNumber,0,'') & "/" & totext(TotalPageCount,0,'')
    and for the suppression condition, just right click on the formula and give the suppression condition for "Suppress" option.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Is there a way to extract iMessages from Mac to PDF or .txt format?

    I've been searching the net but to no avail. All results point to backing up/extracting iMessages from iDevices other than a Mac. I'm going to change my Apple ID and I want to at least have a copy of the previous convos I had if PDF or .txt format. Thanks in advance!

    HI,
    If you have the Save on Close  option enabled in Messages > Preferences > Messages then all Chats and conversations are saved.
    They can be recalled any time.
    1) In the Messages app the File Menu > Recent Items will list the last X number of chats.
    X is the number set in System Preferences > General pane about the number of Documents, Applications and Servers shown in such lists.
    2) old migrated iChat Saved chats are in Your Home Folder/Documents/iChats
    3) New Saves are in your Home Folder/Library/Messages/Archive although this Library is Hidden.
    In th Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type ~/Library/Messages into the dialogue box that appears.
    I have 10 non iMessages accounts as well as  my iMessages account logged in when I am on line.
    I can call up any of the last Chats shown in Recent Items no matter which account they came from  (different Screen Name or Jabber IDs or even Bonjour chats)
    I have not actually changed my iMessages ID to check but the app will continue to save to the same Folder and it should be able to retrieve recent ones.
    Visiting the folder and double clicking an older chat tends to launch it in a new window separate from the Messages Window itself (no Side bar no, Text field at the bottom, no "To" spot).

  • Txt format in a file created by the Payment Medium Program

    Hi,
    I need some help with a query from Payroll France.
    They use the transaction PC00_M06_FFOT (program RFFOF_V) to transfer payment data to banks.
    This program creates a txt file that is accessible to the payroll and accounting teams. This file is stored on local discs and as txt format it can be modified.
    The last audit pointed to this as a potential issue. The data in this file is very sensitive and shoud be secured against any modification.
    The program is SAP standard and the txt format is compliant with the system used by banks. That is why I am not sure if the file format can be modified. We were thinking perhaps a PDF fike would be an option. However, our Development do not want to touch at the change before we know if this will not be a problem for the banks' system.
    I've created a note for SAP about already but they say it is not really an error and in fact beyond their scope.
    Would appreciate some advice from you.
    Thanks,
    Monika.

    Monika :
    When running payment transfer to the bank (i.e. RFFOT or RFFOV), you have an option to either have the output file created (at application server) or a temse file created (which you would go to DME management to process downloading to a file (e.g. in your local PC machine).
    Having the ACH file created on application server site usually should be quite secure in my opition (first of, not many ee should have access to application servers; second, you can control not to allow non-authorized personnel to access to certain directories in application server; third, usually, when ACH file is created, it usually will be picked up by an automate process to send the file to the bank (rather than manual process)) .  Just my thought on your audit issue .
    Rgds.

    Some of the points might help you in thinking towards right direction, you might already know this but doesn't look like you are following in your code anyway.
    1. The JSP that you are emailing is uncompiled source file. It need JVM environment to be able to run on.
    2. The JSP is a view technology so try to separate the view logic from the business.
    3. Try to put entire business logic in a Bean and use that in your JSP to start off with.
    You may need to write the HttpServletResponse#content on to the Writer and then persist it on the filesystem. and then send that persisted file as an attachment.
    Have a look at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/io/Writer.html
    It provide different type of writer implementations.
    HttpServletResponse#getWriter() provides PrintWriter instance.
    Does it make sense?

  • C# winform + crystalreportviewer to export HTML format  ?

    Hi,guys.
      I create a winform app with a crystalreportViewer[cr dev for vs 2012], and i found CR can export many formats,like pdf,word,excel.
      But I can't find "HTML" format. Although I know we can export HTML in the editor environment's preview mode, but my winform app can't export.
      What should I do?Many thanks!

    What you want to do is load a strongly typed report. This method of loading a report uses the ReportDocument component from the Components tab of the ToolBox.  When this component is added to the form, a dialogue box appears and prompts the Developer as to which type of Component to add to the form -> Crystal Report.
    Imports CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
    Imports CrystalDecisions.Shared
    Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
            crReportDocument = New test
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = crReportDocument
        End Sub
    Remeber that a strongly typed report is compiled into the app exe. E.g.; use with care as the exe size will grow by leaps and bounds...
