Export with different audio levels

I need, very often, to export the same clip with different audio levels.
Is it possible to make presets with altered audio levels, let's say one for -12db and one for -8db.
Until now, i alter the audio level in Premiere, then I make one export, then I go back to Premiere, change again the audio level, I make the second export etc. It works, but it is very time consuming.
Thanx in advance.

It is currently not possible. However, feel free to log a feature request:

    what is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

    You don't have to do anything special. If possible, start your project with a clip that has the desired target frame rate and audio sample rate, and your project parameters will be set automatically. Other sample rates will be converted under the covers.
    For example, if your video is shot at 48khz, you can add music files at 44.1khz with no problem.
    If you are recording audio that you want to synch with video (multicam), you will get best results if everything is 48khz, but you can use 44.1 if that is all you have. Once I forgot to reset my Zoom to 48,000 and it still worked.

  • SW-3850 stacking with different License Levels?

    we will be decommissioning the 3750 that is uplinked to a 3850-48port and will be connecting a 3850-24port in full stack-wise and stack-power High availability mode………now it will have the same IOS but the License Level will be different….so my question is will the two switches become stackable with different License Levels?

    Hi,
    it so not possible stack two switches with different licence. You will have to order new license to be same on both switches.
    Please read Q&A for 3850 switch. See link below question "What are the license requirements for a Cisco Catalyst 3850 switch stack?"

    Based on the FAQ that is not supported:
    You find the FAQ on http://www.cisco.com/go/3850 -> FAQ
    Q. What are the license requirements for a Cisco Catalyst 3850 switch stack?
    A. In a Cisco Catalyst 3850 stack, all switches should be at the same image-based license (IP Services/IPBase/LAN Base) level. The active switch license level is considered as the reference, and the member switch licenses are compared against it. If there is a mismatch, the active switch with the syslog message “ license mismatch error” indicates that the stacking was unsuccessful.
    Q. How is a “ license mismatch error” fixed in a Cisco Catalyst 3850 stack?
    A. The license level of the mismatch stack member switch can be changed with the license right-to-use activate <license> all acceptEULA CLI command (entire stack should have the same wired license level) and reloaded from the active switch console. This will enable the member switch to join the stack successfully. The customer has to purchase a license before moving to a specific license level.

  • Best/fastest way to standardize different audio levels in long projects????

    Hey all,
    I regularly have long projects with lots of different audio and audio levels (eg weddings and events) and am trying to figure the fastest and best way to set all the different levels to output around a standard level (eg around -4dB) and not peak!
    I want to be able to do this at the end of my project(workflow) rather than individually adjusting each audio clip as i go, which wastes a lot of time.
    I'm sure there has to be a simple way to do this but i haven't learnt it yet, so has anyone got the best/fastest method?

    Well IMO "best" and "fastest" don't go together in a sentence very often!
    However I think the key is in establishing a rock-solid set monitoring level (ie volume) for the speakers you mix on which never changes (at least while you mix). In professional mixing it's done with equipment to analyze the mixing room and calibrate everything to a nominal 85dB spl at the mixing position (for the cinema... which is quite loud!).
    While you might not want to emulate this you can get some content you are happy with (your projects, CD's, DVD's etc) and play them in you environment with your mixing software faders at zero gain and the meters reading -12dB or thereabouts (they will if the content was mixed correctly). Now adjust your listening volume (on your speakers or amp) until you get a comfortable listening/mixing level (you could get a Radio Shack sound pressure meter and try to set the volume to around 70-80dB spl or whatever so if you ever need to reset you can) and mark the amp/speaker levels with a grease pencil. Never Move this control again.
    From now on whenever your audio tracks reach this 'ideal' listening level, your level meters will show the ideal -12dB. Your ears just have to "learn" how loud this is... and then you can mix by ear... keeping an eye on the meters to make sure you are on target. If you want the audio to sound 'normal' mix to a comfortable listening level, if you want it softer lower the track's fader until it sounds right ... louder? Well turn it up. Although you can only go louder until your meters overload... which is at 12dB. (that's why some people like to set their "ideal" level lower -15 or -18dB, so there's more room to get loud (especially in the cinema!). It's all easier said than done ... but once you learn your listening levels you'll just adjust tracks correctly as you go, then tune it all up on a mixing pass.
    If you have a completed project you still have to do all the above... set your listening level. Then scan through your material. I like to find the worst clip (probably too low) and tweak it to sound the best you can (add gain, eq, etc) trying to get it up around -15 to -12 dB. Then run though the whole project bringing other clips down to match the worst. This will get everything basically even.
    After all this you might try running the whole mix through a single Sub Mix and insert a compressor across it (with a basic 'Mix" preset) to even the whole thing out. Though a lot of the time, with Doco type sound, I find a pretty even mix can be done by ear alone!
    It's a lot to think about ... but the key is learning what your ideal target level sounds like. Then use your ears.. and check your STP level meters to make sure all is OK.
    Hope this helps

  • How to save Jobs with different priority level in a Queue?

    Hi, Friends,
    I have a set of Job (see below) objects.
    I would make a queue: if they have the save priority level, first in and first out. this is easy to do by ArrayList. however, If they have different priority level, I would like make the Jobs with the highest level first out.
    How can I implemented this idea in Java?

  • Restrict Access To Page Not Working with Different Auth Levels

    I have just started playing with the idea of using different auth levels to allow different users access to certain pages on my site.
    Within my SQL database I have a authlevel table consisting of 3 possible levels (guest, user, admin)
    I am using the Dreamweaver "Log in user" to log in users based on username, pass, and auth level and "Restrict access to page" set to allow user levels 'user' and 'admin'.
    The problem, however, occurs when trying to log in.  No matter what auth level I try I am redirected to my page where users should be redirected if they are not allowed to enter that page.
    I have included below my code from my login page and the page where all authorized users (user and admin) should be directed upon entering the restricted area.

    you don't need all that bloat.  set a session during login of some kind of uniquely identifying id.  i.e.
    $_SESSION['id'] = $row_rs['id'];
    then on the pages you need to protect, check it like this....
    <?php
    session_start();
    if (!(isset($_SESSION['id']) && $_SESSION['id'] != '')) {
    die(header("Location: http://www.notinprotectedareas.com")); }
    ?>
    you can use an include file i.e.
    <?php require_once('login_check.php'); ?>
    where file is name login_check.php to make your auth controls clean on your protected pages.

  • Different Audio Levels in Edit View vs. Multitrack View

    Here's what happens...
    I begin a new session. I then import a .wav file and it appears in the left column. I double-click the .wav so I'm in Edit View. When I play the clip, it ranges from about -9 to -6 dB. Now I go back to Multitrack View without having edited or changed the .wav in any way. I send the clip to Track 1. When it plays back, it now ranges from about -12 to -9 dB on the levels meter...this is an issue. In terms of trying to balance audio levels within a session, something that sounds good in one view might be too loud or too soft when playing back in the other. It's my understanding that regardless of Edit View or Multitrack View, a .wav should play at the same exact levels (unless you tamper with the mixer which I have not done).
    So my question is, why is there a 3dB difference between playing a clip in Edit View vs. Multitrack View?

    Try setting view>advance session properties>mixing>

  • Multiple closed captions with different audio

    Hi there,
    I have several buttons on a slide that each play different audio when clicked.
    Is there any way I can add closed captions for each of these separately?
    Thanks,
    Mandy

    If your REAL requirement here is to allow the learner to play a number of different audio clips with accompanying text transcript of the voiceover then there's a far easier method to achieve that resul.
    Just add rollover captions and add the audio clips to the caption part of the object.  Add the transcript of the audio clip as the text in the caption.  Then when the learner places their mouse over the rollover hit area, the caption will appear, the audio clip will play, and the learner can view the transcript in the caption.  As soon as they move their mouse off the hit area the clip will stop playing.

  • Exporting OMF: Preserve Audio Levels?

    Hi everyone,
    I have an OMF question that I can't find an answer for. I apologize if this question is more fitting
    in a ProTools Forum.
    I have exported an OMF from FCP v.5. Upon opening it in Pro Tools LE 7.3.1, I have discovered
    that none of the levels of clips and tracks have been preserved. Just wanted to see if anyone
    else had this experience and weather there was a way around this.
    Or perhaps this is just how it goes.
    I saw on the Apple site a write-up about OMF's and FCP v.6. It says that for OMF Files it
    DOES preserve levels. That's quite the bummer if I missed that ability by one version of FCP!

    I've heard that the automatic duck plug ins will allow you to export with the levels preserved. http://www.automaticduck.com/ . I haven't used them myself, but our sound sweetening guy says a lot of his FCP clients use this when they export to him. It will also make AAF files as well.

  • Video exporting with no audio

    I have a video file that I have saved with an alpha channel. I opened it in PS CS 5.5 made a few minor corrections and need to export to an FLV file. The video layer has transparency attached to it so I choose export. I make sure to open the properties and be certain that Export Alpha Channel is included AND Export audio is selected.
    The trouble is that when I preview the file in a player... or included in another flash file... there is no audio. When I preview it in a flash player app, I can see the audio bars moving... but hear no audio. What is odd is that when I inspect the file properties... it says there is an unknown codec which is odd because it was exported with MP3 selected as the option.
    Any thoughts? This is really frustrating and feel like I've exhausted all the options I have available to me.

    I work in Premiere, so need you to be my "eyes" here. What Audio options do you have in FLV? For instance, with the On2 VP6 FLV CODEC, the ONLY choice for Audio is MP3, though one can adjust the Bit-Rate.
    With most formats, the first thing that I would check would be Multiplexing, but that is usually not an option with FLV, as it is ON, though that could have changed, depending on the FLV CODEC chosen. What choice did you make there?
    Not sure which Flash player you are testing with, but I find MediaPlayer Classic HC (free) to be a good one, and as it contains many of its own CODEC's, will play a very wide range of material. If you have not tried that, download, and install, then test in it. If MediaPlayer Classic HC will not play both the Audio and Video, then something IS wrong.
    For a good file information utility, I really like the free MediaInfo. It does a great job of defining the CODEC's for both the Audio and Video streams.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Downloading and editing video footage with different audio channels

    Hi out there, I usually created photo montages in my iMovie & iDVD, but I have been given the task to edit an event and I believe that there might be an hour to 2 hours of footage. What I would like to know is, how do I focus on the wireless audio when needed and then use the regular audio at other times. I am about to download the footage and would like to make sure that I download it properly and then be able to use the audio as I see fit... ( will I even be able to use the different audio channels) I hope that I am making sense, any suggestions?! THANKS!

    The "baked in" audio which is part of the video will sit "inside" the video clips. That audio can be faded up and down as needed.
    You'll need to separately import your "wireless" audio if it was recorded onto a separate device such as a mini-disc recorder or somesuch, and it'll then sit in one of the two separate audio tracks. You can also fade that up and down as needed.
    IF, however, the "wireless" audio was recorded straight into the camera, via a wireless receiver attached to the cam, then that'll also come in as part of the normal video (see 1st paragraph, above).
    So - in that case - to "unravel" or separate the camera's own and the "wireless" audio will only be possible if they were each mono signals, recorded separately to the left and right channels of the camcorder's single stereo track, e.g; camera's mike on left channel, additional "wireless" audio on right channel.
    If this was a professional camcorder, like a Canon XLH1, into which you can feed 4 channels at recording time, you won't be able to separate those two pairs of stereo after importing into iMovie, unless you import them separately ..e.g; camera Channels 1 & 2 as an integral part of the video import, and then Channels 3 & 4 imported separately afterwards, into one of the separate audio tracks.
    iMovie has no way of separating audio - apart from left and right stereo channels which can easily be done in GarageBand ..or in another external audio editor program. There's no way to "unbake" 4 separate channels of audio within a video clip and to separate them once the video's been imported ..when all audio then appears as simply left and right channels of a stereo signal. You can extract audio from a clip, but you can't separate individual components of the audio, apart from prising apart the left and right channels, no matter how many audio tracks are available ..such as the two extra tracks in iMovie.
    You don't say (a) which camcorder(s) had been used for shooting the material, and (b) whether the "wireless" recording was fed into the camera, or was recorded separately.
    If you provide further exact details I may be able to help more..

  • Reclassification - Posting Logic with Different Posting Levels

    Hi *,
    we've a reclassification task on posting level 30.
    In SAP online help I've found the statement  "The system includes all values of the triggering object(s) entered or posted with a posting level less than or equal to 30.". So I assume that also  PL 12 and 22 is covered by our reclassification task. However, I've realized that the task doesn't consider postings on PL 12 or PL22. Within the SAP help I couldn't find a remark that cons group changes are exluded.
    Does anyone know whether cons group changes have to be considered by the system?
    Thanks in advance!
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    AFAIK, 00, 01, 10, 20 and 30 PLs are considered by the system in case of reclass on the PL 30.
    PLs of cons groups changes ( 02, 12 and 22) are not considered.
