Export With Preset to X-Rite problem

Using LR 4; first time using LR at all.
I did one "Export With Preset to X-Rite" and it worked. Now, with different lighting, I tried to Export with Preset and it doesn't give me the option for a new name, it just asks if I want to overwrite the existing one.
Am I missing something? I should be able to have multiple profiles.
Thanks.

Pages' RTF export is somewhat limited. This seems to be one of the non-supported features.
I am pretty sure that you found the best solution exporting to Word, and then to RTF from Word.
Apple seem to appreciate feedback on this kind of things at http://www.apple.com/feedback/pages.html .

  • Export With Presets Issues

The other day we noticed that in one of our classrooms, some of our machines don't respond to Menue>Export with Presets. No fly out menue no nothing. It seems random and its on both Mac's and Pc's. Upgrading didn't help. Is there a setting we don't have correct? Any ideas?
    Doug

The short answer would be no. However, researching this idea did lead to the answer. As a school, we "encourage" our students to store their work on portable drives rather than on our computers. We also told them to set LR up to "store presets with catalogue". That way when they move to another machine - or home - their catalogues, presets, etc move with them. It seems though, that LR only applies this to your personal presets and doesn't store the default presets with your catalogue. The result is that when you check "store presets with Catalogue" you unwittingly dump the default presets from your catalogue.
I'm thinking I may have to jump over to the other forum and suggest this feature be re thought.
    Thank you for your help,
    Doug

  • Make Export With Previous track Export With Preset

If I do an Export, then do an Export With Previous, the Export With Previous uses my settings from my export, as I expect. But if I do an Export With Preset, then do an Export With Previous, the export uses my settings from my last Export (however long ago that was) rather than my Export With Previous from moments ago.
I'd like to see Export With Previous respect Export With Preset selections.

I still see this behavior with LR3b2/OS X.. just accidently used an old one time export setting from a few days back [and couldn't find where the file would up at first as a result] because I wasn't expecting "Export With Previous" not to have pciked up that I used "Export With Preset..." from the File menu 2 minutes earlier.. so a little bump

  • SUGGESTION: export with preset - custom subfolder name

i've got various export presets set up in LR; for exporting to flickr, exporting for forums, exporting for print etc.  however, one thing that bugs me is that –at least as far as i can see– the export preset requires me to 'hardwire in' the name of the folder [or subfolder] that that preset exports to.
    ideally i'd like either:
    * to have the ability to create a preset where LR would throw up an OS standard open/save dialogue asking me where to save the exported image/s to
    or even better:
    * be able to dynamically create subfolder names at export time.  for example.  my "flickr" preset exports to a folder called "flickr formatted".  at present every image i export using this preset just ends up in that folder and i then have to manually sort them into subfolders.  in the preset setup dialogue, i can tick "put in subfolder" and then fill in a name, but that's a bit pointless, as it's just as 'hardwired' as the main folder name.
it would be nice if i could tick "put in subfolder" and then enter a PHP style dynamic subfolder name, such as "%Y-%M-%-%D" to create dynamically named subfolders and sort my exports by date.
    how about it adobe?

yes. i've seen that option.  but wouldn't that require you to select the folder each time you exported? that would soon become tiresome.
what i want is an option to have the preset dynamically generate the folder name [probably based somehow on current date]. then, each day's export session would be placed in its own subfolder, without having to:
A: define the export folder each time
    or
B: manually sort photos into subfolders afterwards

  • Ps CS6 Action problem: New document created with "Preset: Clipboard" is misnamed

    Ps CS6 v13.0.1
    OS X 10.6.8
In an Action, File > New with "Preset:  Clipboard" ignores the specified document name and uses one of the following names when the clipboard definitely does hold valid content:
    1. The name that was applied by the previous invocation of File > New in a session.
    2. No name if Action is run before File > New has been used in current session.
Only when the clipboard has no valid content will the newly created document be given the specified name.

The Color Profile seems to work differently between CS5 and CS6.   In CS5 when I use menu File>New and there is something in the clipboard I see Preset clipboard as the dedault setting and see my current Photoshop color setting profile set in as the color profile. I pasted a ProPhoto selection into the clipboard.  When I do the same in CS6 and use File>New I see Preset Clipboard as the default setting but the color profile is not my Photoshop Color setting its ProPhotoRGB the same as I pasted into the clipboard.  However if I close CS6 down. Then start CS6 and do menu File>New I see Preset Clipboard as the default setting and the corol profile is my Photoshop color setting profile sRGB not ProPhotoRGB that in the clibpoard. So I feel the copy to clipboard from Photoshop triggers something internally to change the profile in CS6 it not something that gets set in the clipboard for the ProPhotoRGB override does not happen if I shut Photoshop down and restart it.
I think I like the CS6 change. Noel I wrote that for you I want you to know I don't think CS6 is all bad. This change should help one from getting profiles mismatches.  CS6 is still the buggest Phoshop around.  It does not stop working as smuch as it did befor the 13.0.1 update. And when it does there a chance Autosave may save the day. The last Photoshop stop working message I got from windows was when I tried to run a script.  There were no open document so nothing to recover. After terminating CS6 and restarting it the script work without a problem.

    Hello,
I have to export three tables out of my database with a query. I started the export with following command (on a Windows testing machine).

I have got the following error:
    . . Export of the table QEM_MESSAGE

I think the problem is the query statement. All the columns are written right. Is there an error in the statement or is it impossible to execute such statement in an export?

    Hi,
you have to use export one time at a time with query parameter
    consider

           and emp.sal > 1000

  • Any way to export with multiple presets at once?

Hi! Is there any way to export with multiple presets at once? I do a lot of product photography, usually clients send me around 5 to 10 pieces to photograph, and from each photo requires to be exported to about 7 different formats and sizes for different uses. I have a preset for each export, but this requires multiple clicks per export, select the preset, the destination folder, etc.....   and at the end I end taking about 1 hour to just export files when if I could just select 1 time a folder of presets and the destination folder just once, then it will take no time to get all oft those exports.
    Thanks!

Some of those other photographers have assistants they can task with doing the drudgery.
I would describe what you're wanting scripted multiple exporting, not multiple export presets, because multiple-exports don't necessarily rely on presets, just initiating an Export and clicking on various things for each one.
I assume you have a preset set for each of the 7 format-size-uses variations, and then most of the time consuming part is setting the Choosing the destination folder that gets mirrored to DropBox?  You can copy/paste most of the path into the Folder address area after clicking Choose.
Without knowing what your master-photo folders and dropbox-mirror folder names and organization are it's hard to know if you've thought of all the shortcuts you might use or if things are organized in the most efficient manner.
If you're on Windows, maybe something like AutoHotKey macros would help with what you're doing.

  • MXF export with audio problems

    Hi!
At the brodcast station that I work we recently upgrade to premiere CC. Our workflow are almost XDCAM files (MXF) and whe an edition is finished we export to MXF to play out or copy to XDCAM disc.
Recently I have a multi camera project and everything works perfect but when I export to an MXF file the sound as a "blank frame" in sound. The concert as an hour and twenty minutes and at the fisrt second
theres is that little "cut" in sound that doesn't exist in timeline.
I tryed various ways to export and everytime I got this frame in the same place. I also export timelines with 2 minutes from other projects, more simple, and always I got a "blank frame" somewhere in audio.
Tryed to export with 2 channels, 8 channels, stereo timeline multichannel timeline and everything result in a MXF in this audio issue.
Anyone already detect this exporting to MXFs, any sugestion to resolve this problem?

Thank you norok65 for replying this post.
I searched for some post with my problem and I didn't find so I post this one. I'm "glad" that I'm not the only one having this Kind of problem.
Like you said the problem cames with some updates. We used Premiere CS5 and no problem with MXF. We tryed the CS6 to possible update and
at the begining no problem but after some updates this problem appears and we abandoned the CS6 and we tested the CC. No problem with CC
and we did the migration. So, CC export MXFs with no problem but after some updates the audio problems came up again.
I think the problem is the updates and Adobe must fix this.
Jim, I already did some tests and exported only audio to WAV and no problem. Other formats like quictime no problem too.
This kind of problem only appears with MXF.
Like I said our workflow are almost everything in MXF (XDCAM) and we wish this issue can be solved.

  • Problem on export with cuda

I have problem when exporting with AME - the export failed to render
I'm doing the same workflow for about 2-3 years- exporting sequence of about an hour 1080P to h.264 (HD) and mpeg2DVD to burn on CD (cant wait to finish with this DVD old workflow),
like I said the render every now and then failed and my workaround is to turn CUDA off in  AME what solve it but its extremely slow
I'm not sure how it is on CC 2014 'cause I'm working on older project and havent moved to 2014, anyway I've updated my quadro 2000d.
I think it got something to do with the adjustment layers, most of the time when I'm not using them it renders, but of course I need to use them.
I really need this to work as usual it's slowing me down and I dont know why

  • Error message ''Disk Full' when trying to export with CS6, works fine in 5.5

I get an error message when I try to export media in Premiere CS6 that I don't have in CS5.5
I use export media for a AVCHD 60fps sequence with a few photoshop images on top of the main track. In the export settings I choose ''match sequence settings'' which gives me a .mpeg I- frame, 1920 x 1080 P, 60fps, quality 50, and a I tick the ''use maximum render quality'' check box at the bottom.
It used to work fine but now I get a message: Disk Full where there is 1.5 TB free on the disk?
I have the exact same sequence made in Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and it exports fine.
It started to act weird after I used the queue for the first time and it went to the CS6 encoder.
Since I used that once and it gave me that message for the first time, even when I try to do the same thing directly in Premiere CS6 , I always get the same error message.
Question 2, is there a place to change the settings from 50 to 100 for the quality of this export profile?
By the way I can export with other profiles without problems but this setting is the only one that I've seen that lets me keep my 60 frames per second in the export
process. (Example: I can export this sequence in the H.264, 1920 x 1080, 30fps, high quality preset, using the maximum render quality in CS6)

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input but if you read my message correctly and until the end I already can export to other settings and I want an answer to this problem. There's no logical explanation to why this suddenly wouldn't work with the same sequence that it used to do fine with and that CS 5.5 handles fine.
As I said earlier this is the only setting that lets me export my sequence with the 60 fps, that I know of, for further and easier manipulation. As my main camera provides me with these 60 fps I'd really like to be able to have them left in that transition phase and, no, I'm not gonna give up until I know, really, what's going on and solve that problem. If this is a bug it needs to be fixed, if not I want to know what's happening.
Also there's no answer to my question 2: Question 2, is there a place to change the settings from 50 to 100 for the quality of this export profile?
So for you experts out there the question is still hanging.

  • Clips exported with Media Encoder from AE are choppy (CS6)

    Hi!
I'm using Media Encoder (6.0.3.1) to export clips from AE (11.0.4.2) so that I can work with them in PPro (6.0.5).
In Media Encoder I go to add AE composition and I've tried the YouTube HD 1080p 25 and the Broadcast HD 1080p 25 presets (the latter creates a much bigger file but I don't think the file size is the issue - for example, the biggest clip of approx. 1 mintute is 276MB).
The curious thing is that most of the clips that are exported are fine, i.e. they play back fine - the problem is that some of the clips go slow or choppy towards the end of the clip. So the last couple of seconds will be choppy. It basically looks like the frame rate isn't quite right.
Once exported from Media Encoder, I import them into PPro to do some more work - the problem with the clips is apparent when I play the original file in VLC (for example) or in PPro. So it seems like the problem occurs during the export from AE. When I export the video containing the AE clips from PPro the problem is obviously still there (wishful thinking on my part). I use AE just for keying and making some basic titles, nothing massively complex.
I had some problems with RAM preview in AE before, in other words, it wasn't playing the clips back in realtime and the exported clips with the problem look exactly like that (i.e. looks like the frame rate isn't right). I deactivated Enable Disk Cache in AE (Multiprocessing was already deactivated) and now I can play back clips ok in AE using RAM preview - even the ones that go choppy towards the end when they are exported with Media Encoder play back fine in AE.
Could Media Encoder be going back to some previous render files saved somewhere on my system and could that cause some of the exported clips to go choppy?
I'm new to Adobe so I'm just guessing here and I don't want to go about and delete stuff that might not have anything to do with this problem. As I've adopted the computer I'm working on from my predecessor and it's had several users since, the system is a bit of a mess and there are files all over the place. Empting the Disk Cache doesn't actually delete anything for example.
I'm really stuck here because I can't finish the projects I started working on with AE.... I would appreciate someone's input!
    Many thanks in advance!
    My system specs:
    Intel Core i7-3930K, 3.20GHz, 16GB RAM, 64-bit operating system, GeForce GTX 680, Windows 7, Creative Suite CS6
Before using Media Encoder to export clips from AE I was just relying on Dynamic Link between AE and PPro by the way and that made all of the clips choppy for the whole duration (this was before I solved the RAM preview problem and I haven't checked if a working RAM preview would make a difference to dynamic link). So Media Encoder nearly solved the problem. I posted this original problem on creativecow (http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1045810) but no one has gotten back to me about the new issue unfortunately.

    Thanks for your reply!
I tried using Quicktime with PNG and it created a big file (1.18GB for a 1 minute long clip) that doesn't play back nicely in PPro unfortunately. But I then tried rendering the clip using a lossy format, H.264, in AE and it's playing back ok in PPro! I will just do that for the rest of the clips and hope that this is finally resolved. Many thanks for the tip!
Out of curisoty, do you know what might be causing the problem when I use Media Encoder?

  • Lightroom 6 doesn't migrate Export User Presets from LR5

Tonight I upgraded from LR5 to LR6 (standalone, not CC).  My catalog migrated successfully and generally the library and develop modules seem to work fine.  But when I go to export, all my User Presets are gone.  Any advice on how I can recover my export user presets so that I don't have to manually recreate them all?  I'm on a Late 2012 Mac Mini, 2.6/i7/16GB, OS X 10.9.5.

Thank you, that was the problem.  They were checked as stored with catalog in LR5, but not in LR6.  Once I clicked the checkbox in LR6, I found all my export user presets.  Now I assume that if I subsequently uncheck that box, LR6 will create a unique file to house those presets?  Does it matter if they are or are not in the catalog?  I've got a decent grasp of LR's functionality, but wasn't aware of this and don't know if there are pluses or minuses with either approach...
