Export XAVC-S in  MP4 Container

I want to create a video in 4K to play it on a Samsung 4K TV.
The TV is able to play XAVC-S coded 4K movies but unfortunatly not if I export it in 4K H.264.
How can I export XAVC-S in MP4 Container with Premiere Pro CC 2014?
Thanks for any help.
Frank

Hi Frank,
The only way to export XAVC is to use the MXF OP1a with an XAVC-Intra preset. Would that work?
Thanks,
Kevin

  • Export to XDCAM EX3 MP4 Raw container?

I need to playback files on a Sony PMW-EX30 deck and the only file I can find that will play back on it is the raw MP4 container file. As of now I am having to export my project I have edited in Premiere CS5 to an .mov file then import into FCP to export as the MP4 EX3 container file. I would like to avoid this step but cant find a plug in or any other answers anywhere after serveral days of research. Does any one know how I can accomplish this? Thanks

    Hey Dennis,
Thank you for your response. I tried your suggestions and the files are still not being recognized in the deck or camera. I even tried to change the file extension to .MP4 and still no luck. In order to acheive exporting in the proper format through FCP I found a plug in on the Sony Support site but I dont see anything for any Adobe products on there. Do you have any other suggestions or ideas to make this work? Thank you again for your help.

  • Premiere CS4 & AME 4.1 MP4 container does not keep bitrate settings

I am having a hard time trying to export my video to H.264 MP4 container using CBR 436kbit for video and 64kbit for audio.
AME is always resetting the bitrate to 3mbps. I have tried all the workarounds on this forum and they don't work.
I am running fully updated Premiere CS4 and AME on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
PLEASE SOMEONE POST A WORKING SOLUTION TO THIS ANNOYING PROBLEM.
    Thanks a million.

I have found a working solution.
    Thanks to Jeff:
It's a bug.  Switch to VBR temporarily, then set your target bit rate.  When you switch back to CBR it should stick.

  • Is there a way to export .avi files to .mp4 en masse in Quicktime Pro?

    Hiya.
What I've been doing for some time now is taking the .avi movie files my Canon camera creates, and exporting them as h264 .mp4 files which cuts the file size by more than half with minimal quality loss. But at this moment, I have almost 100 video files that I would like to do and this process would be much, much, better if I could que them up.
Can you do this in Quicktime Pro and if not, another program?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
This can also be done with SimpleMovieX.
    http://www.aeroquartet.com/SimpleMovieX/
Note that I'm the developer of this application. It may not be as free as MPEG Streamclip, but at least it's supported.

  • Strange Problem exporting video to iPod MP4...

I purchesed Quicktime 7 Pro last night, because I have been eager to put some video on my brand new 5th g iPod. I decided to start with a 23 minute episode of a T.V. series I have on DVD. I ripped it to my hard drive, then followed Quicktimes exact instructions to export it to iPod MP4. I did this at 9:30 AM this morning, and it is now 4:25. The progress bar says it is only 22% done!
My computer statistics; 2.26 Ghz processor, 512 Mb ram and an 80 gig hard drive only filled with about 30 gigs worth of data. It is virus free and runs like a dream, so why is this export of a 23 minute video taking so impossibly long????? Does exporting naturally take this long? What is the normal exprt time of a 23 minute show?
Thanks for any help or advice you can offer, I will really appreciate it.

I too have had this issue. It takes me 45 minutes to convert a 3 1/2 minute trailer. Videora freeware works infinitely better for me because it stretches video rather than letterbox it and it zips through files when converting them.
    Hope that helped you out.

  • Export to jpg does not contain comments (or I can't see them)

    Hi,
I've run into a problem that I've not been able to fix.  I'm hoping the collective wisdom here can help me.
My problem is that when I export a pfd (from an imported jpg) back to a jpg file, the newly created jpg does not contain the comments/markups I've made.  One day I could do this, the next day I couldn't.  It's possible that I somehow changed preferences or something.  I'm not sure.
While trying to figure this out I discovered that if I export that same jpg file (containing comments) with a watermark, then all the comments are visible.  Watermark off, exported jpg does not contain comments.
To solve the problem I have:
I have tried to change all preferences back to default settings.  (not sure if I found them)
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Acrobat without success.
I have also deleted the registry file without success.
I read that one way to solve the problem is to print a file with the comments to pdf, then export that pdf file back to jpg.  That works, but I'd like to avoid the extra step.
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanking you in advance.
    Robert

  • Importing AVCHD video in .mp4 container from Samsung camcorder

    Hello anyone and everyone,
I recently purchased a new Samsung camcorder (Model: HMX-H100N) and wish to use Premier Pro CS4 to edit the resulting video. The camcorder records video to an SDHC card in 1080i avc1 in an .mp4 container (the exact specifications as shown in GSpot and MediaInfo below) which when I attempt to import into premiere a green square is displayed. I have tried several AVCHD 1080i as well as HDV 1080i presets none of which have resulted in anything other than the green square or "Format Not Supported" error messages. I'm running Windows 7 (x86) OS and have several codecs (filters) installed including ffdshow, CoreAVC, DivX 7 as well as the built in Microsoft DTV-DVD filter and the MainConcept (adobe2) H264/AVC decoder. During normal playback of the .mp4 file Windows Meida Player seems to use the built in Microsoft DTV filter and playback is flawless, I would assume that Premier is attempting to use the MainConcept filter which seems to be unable to decode the files. Any help is appreciated.

I have bought a Samsung HMX-H100NM for my son, and we have had the hardest time importing the video cilps in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Here is what I found so far:
    - If you check the video size on the "green square clips", it's completely bogus. It might be set to  4x13 instead of 1920x1080 for example.
    - There was a firmware update for the HMX-100N on the Samsung web site in late December 2009.  As of January 17, 2010, it is not there aymore.  I was told at the end of December 2009 that there would be a new firmware upgrade in January 2010, so maybe a new version is coming soon.
    - After upgrading the firmware (I'm not sure exactly what happened with the old firmware installed, except that importing didn't work at all), I find that I'm able to import some clips if I set the camera resolution to "fine" or "superfine".  The other resolution still gives me clips that I cannot import. When a clip import is successful, I can play the vide. However, if I save the project and reopen it, I will get "green squares" in lieu of some of the good clips. Rebooting the computer and reopening the same project might give me a different set of bad clips. I have reported this as a bug.
    - Just for the heck of it, we tried importing the same video clips in Adobe Premiere Elements and that worked just fine.
    In summary:
    1. Try setting your video resolution to "fine" or "super fine" in camera.
    2. Try using Adobe Premiere Elements.
    3. Pray that we get a fix in Premiere Pro soon.
    4. I'm looking for recommendation for a different video camera that will work "out of the box"

  • Won't export files as a MP4

    Hi all,
So I have Final Cut Pro version 5.1.4 and it is now no longer letting me export files as a MP4. I have always done it the same way for the last couple of years which is basically the settings that youtube suggests. I go to quicktime conversion and set all the right settings and then click save. The export seems to be normal in that it has an export bar and a time estimate. However, right as it's finishing up, Final Cut closes with an unexpected err. This happens every single time. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
    -Ben Corwin

Any CMYK images in your sequence? Can you open every clip that you used in Quicktime? Does anything show up as missing? Are there any images bigger than 2K? is your destination drive full? Is your system drive full or getting close to full? If you've been doing this all along, and it suddenly stopped working, I would first assume (unless of course you just did an OS update or a FCP update) that something on your computer changed, not something in FCP. Check your system up and down before you dig into FCP just to find that you've re-installed everything for no good reason. Have you installed any 3rd party plug-ins since the last time you compressed to MP4? And, can you compress to anything else, or is the whole transcoding process halted?

  • Final Cut Pro Audio Levels Low when exporting to mp3 and mp4

Hi everyone!  When I export audio from Final Cut as an mp3, my levels are very low.  When I export footage as an mp4, the audio is low as well.  But before exporting, my levels are right at or below 0.  So they are where they should be.  So for example, when I open the audio in Adobe Audion or Logic, they could almost be doubled before peaking within those programs.  Could this be a compression issue?  And input would be helpful.  Thanks!

Are you working 0n 10.0.9? If not, update FCPX and see whether that solves the problem.

    Problem:
MP4 Container files will not play AAC suported audio along with video within Media Center
I am no expert on containers and codecs but the supported specs indicate the file specs are supported on the x280n.

    Media Center 6.1 (Windows 7)
    CyberLink - PowerDVD10 (pre-installed by HP)
The mp4 files WILL play video & audio perfectly locally on the x280n Extender including:
HP Explorer Interface - Videos from local Personal Media Drive
HP Explorer Interface - Videos from network share NAS drive
HP Explorer Interface - Videos shared from PC/Laptop Server
The mp4 files WILL NOT play audio at all locally on the x280n Extender from:
Media Center 6.1 (Windows 7) - Extender Mode
The AVI, WMV, WTV and .ts container files WILL all play video & audio locally on the x280n Extender from:
Media Center 6.1 (Windows 7) - Extender Mode
I would really appreciate a point in the right direction. I have not started installing third party codecs and transcoders when I don't understand most of the settings. The MP4 files play fine locally on the extender outside of Media Center so playback is supported by the physical hardware.
    Thanks

  • Choosing 'Export', I confront 'Error 108' message. Exporting  with file format mp4, etc doesnot work.

Choosing 'Export'  in file menu, QuickTIme pro (v.7.7.4) ,   I confront 'Error 108' message   with WIndows 7.
    Namely
Error-108 : an unknown error occurred.
As a results  Exporting  with file format mp4, etc doesnot work. (windows 7. Quick time player v.7.7.4)
What are the reason? How do I operate this ?
    Thank you.

boom! that advice was correct and worked. i was able to export the full project as a quicktime movie and it can be uploaded to youtube.
NOTE, theres is definately quite a few noticeable audio glitches/lags/pops that werent there before doing this. I believe, and will test to make sure, that having a project such as this one needs to render before exporting. I'm not sure if the advice requires the project to be unrendered before exporting for a specific reason, because if it will export fine after rendering the project that's the way to go. like i said the edited version i have in my timeline plays back perfectly but this exported version has quite a few noticeable audio glitches (a few video glitches too). I'm going to retry doing the first few steps of your advice, but then at the end render, then export and compare the results...
OK, so this leads to a big question, Is this something that is standard for everyone when trying to export? If its not, what causes this error?
is there any way of preemptively avoiding it in future projects?
thanks again, and hopefully this information will help others as exporting seem to be one of the biggest problems in fcpx. any word on a new patch or firmware update?

  • Why does Adobe promote MP4 container instead of FLV ?

We understand that H.264 video plays fine when encapsulated inside an FLV container. FLV format is very light-weight and simple. So were surprised to find that Adobe is encouraging MP4 format (for H.264 content), instead of FLV ? Does anyone know the reason ?
    Thanks,

    Thank you for the response.
1] We have read the FAQ corresponding to Flash Player:9:Update:H.264, under the link http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Flash_Player:9:Update:H.264 Pls see Question 4.10 there. I understand that this  suggests that Adobe encourages MP4 based container format for H.264. This understanding is strengthened by the fact that most of the  H.264 videos from youtube were actually in MP4 container,  instead of FLV. Also when we uploaded a H.264 video on youtube, it converted to MP4 instead of FLV. Could you share your comments on these observations?
2] Agreed F4V format is for H.264. However I understand that FLV also fully supports H.264. Then what does one choose and when and why? Also why this duplication (if it is) in format specification?
3] If possible could also address other questions posted on the forum
    3.1] http://forums.adobe.com/thread/439678?tstart=0
Relates to playing of FLV file created as per Adobe document.
    3.2] http://forums.adobe.com/thread/439711?tstart=0
Relatest to live streaming of FLV stream.

  • H.264 in mp4 container - cannot understand media info

    Hi guys.
    Here is the question:
I export the movie "Using QT conversion -> file format MP4, video format - H.264"
If I check this file in the Media Player Classic on Windows, the MediaInfo pane in the Properties option shows the following:
    Format: MPEG-4
Format profile: Base Media / Version 2
    Codec ID: mp42
    Video ID: 1
    Format: AVC
    Format/Info: Advanced Video Codec
    Format profile: [email protected]
    Can somebody explain me:
    1. What is the "Format profile: Base Media / Version 2"?
    2. Why I have "Codec ID: mp42"? If I understand correctly, "mp42" means MPEG-4 Part-2. But my video is AVC/H.264 - MPEG-4 Part 10;
    3. Do I understand correctly, that when encoding to H.264 the encoder automatically selects a profile depending on source media?
The fact is that the encoded file plays on my Mac, but cannot be opened in MPlayer on Windows machine.
    Thank you.

I don't think Apple is "pushing" the .mov extension over the .mp4 extension. The issue about MPEG-4 (and .mp4 files) is one of Microsoft's refusal to follow the standards and the attempt to create their own.
Many .mp4 files created using Windows software use "proprietary" Microsoft codecs that do not comply. People will soon be very confused (like the way it is today with .avi files).
Another issue is the browser plug-in. Users must "set" the plug-in (MIME Settings) to handle .mp4 extension. It is turned off during a default install of QT.
A Web visitor (first time visit to a page holding an .mp4) may have the file "download", open in a new browser window or even in a different application other than QT.
Whenever I use MPEG-4 settings in my projects destined for Web use I always use the .mov container.
Next year will bring the first MPEG-4 DVD's and some broadcasters are already using H.264 for set top boxes (convertors for HD signals).
One day the .mov format will seem about as relevant as DOS. We aren't there yet.

  • Need to export header created in splitter container in Excel using OO. How?

    Hi,
I am using Object-Oriented ALV and have a header created using cl_gui_splitter_container containing the parameter selections from the front screen.
I have got the header to appear differently when printing out using the print_top_of_page event but the user wants the parameters listed to also appear when they export it to a spreadsheet. The toolbar that comes together with ALV grid table only exports the internal table, and not the header. I do not really want to add lines to the report table before output. Is there another way to export the header into Excel using Object-Oriented ALV?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert,
I don't think it is a good idea to deliver all PivotTable report to end user via E-mail, and SQL Server PowerPivot for Excel doesn't support to deliver PivotTable report to end user without PowerPivot data inside in the data model. For example, I suppose
we create a PivotTable to display the SalesAmount of US in pervious years(eg:2012, 2013, 2014), how can we dynamic show the value based on end user selection without PowerPivot data model data(The PivotTable report don't have data source)?
So, one workaround that we can create a shared folder to store all of PowerPivot report for all of end user in the domain environment, and then inform end users to copy the PowerPivot reports what they want via E-mail.
If the end users aren't in domain environment, we can implement the VPN soltion to achieve this.
