Exported Demos Only working in Adobe products

I use Captivate to capture demos for corporate use. ULEAD
Video and Microsoft PowerPoint/Producer both support .swf files by
design, but there is a specific exception I am discovering... plain
old flash animations work great, and so do builds and transitions
in Captivate-authored, non captured files BUT captured
demonstrations refuse to work. Microsoft and ULEAD both play the
first "slide" of the demo just dandy, but then they stop before
continuing to second "slide" of demo. The player control
acknowledges that there are more slides in the file, but no data
displays.
I've removed all interactive tools (click boxes, control
panels, text entry fields, etc) fearing the interactivity was the
root problem. It isn't. Same occurs every time. Why would a
multiple slide, NON-capture .swf file behave differently than a
multiple slide captured demo without interactive tools included?
I have updated v 1.X to the most recent version of "1" to
make sure it wasn't a ticket that got fixed. No change.

Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

When trying to reinstall using the Cleaner Tool Jacob suggested, can you take a note of the location?
Error: "The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically." when you start a Creative Suite 3.x application

Working with Adobe products on a laptop

Hi there everyone. This is my first time here in Adobe communities, I have been learning my way around Photoshop and a bit of Premiere Pro and I also plan on learning my way through After effects and Illustrator. But what I wish to know is if my laptop can handle it. I don't want to end up buying software I can't use on my machine.
My laptop is a HP Probook 4440s with 3rd Gen i5, 8 gigs of RAM and Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. Can it handle After effects and Illustrator well enough? I can use Photoshop CS6 fine, though it lags a bit sometimes when I'm working on a lot of layers. Premiere Pro takes a lot of time rendering a video which makes me skeptical about how it would handle After Effects. How would the workflow be. I am fine with long rendering times. I just expect to work smoothly across the workflow for small projects.
Any ideas and suggestions?

No, your laptop is far, far from ideal to run Premiere Pro and After Effects. You would probably be OK with Photoshop and Illustrator. You say you want "smooth" and while you can do that with a laptop that does not break the bank, your current HP is lacking in more area that one.
Premiere Pro benefits from a strong NVidia graphics card (yours has HD4000 only), lots of cpu cores (i.e. quad core + hyperthreading support), and 16GB or RAM or more to get a quality editing experience for typical HVACHD media projects without having to pre-render everything on the timeline.
If you really want to know how it would work on your HP, you can download and try the free for 30-days evaluation copy of CC 2014 applications and actually try it for yourself with your media and your workflow.
Finally, the web site www.ppbm7.com is rich with information regarding what size of PC you need to what media and a whole lot more.

IMovie crashing during export. Only works with ultra low quality exports.

I'm using the most recent version of iMovie with the mid-2011 MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM and a 500GB Hybrid HDD with over 200GB free. I have a project and everytime I go to export it beyond the "Mobile" version I get several different errors. If I try a "Large" or "720p" export, the software crashes and I get this error:

If I try exporting with 1080p, I get a message saying "unable to prepare project for publishing."
This just about stays consistant no matter what medium I use to export the project, I've tried exporting to different sources and it doesn't work, I've tried exporting directly to YouTube, I've tried exporting to a various different types of Quick Time format. Nothing works.
I've restarted the project and built from scratch with several different files used, nothing works. It is seeming consistat with the different projects I have and hasn't worked for months now. I need a solution asap.
Any reccomendations?

I will try your suggestions right now, so, In order to be sure that I will not f**** up my project during the process:
1)   Do a backup of my whole project, which only (?) consists in dragging/copying my "Event file" (Library) to the USB3 External Drive.
2) Delete Pref's with "Pref Manager"
2**) If the problem continues, delete FCPX / Fresh re-install it, using http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/
3) Just drag & drop the "Event Folder" (37,59GB) from my External Hard Drive, to a new Libary.
Is this it?
I would also like to know:
All my purschased Effects/LUT's/Plugins, if I must Delete & Fresh install, will I have to install them all again one by one?
Would it be useful to ask for a Genius Bar appointment, before trying all this, or not worth it?

Will Sony A7s 4k files only work on Adobe Premiere CC ?

Currently using Adobe Premiere CS5 and I am having a hard time trying to find which setting to import my 4k video file from my Atomos into Premiere.
Whenever I try, it just states "unsupported file".

Posting for anyone else who comes across this issue:
I was able to fix this by taking all of my audio clips and nesting them in a new sequence, which was then moved to the main sequence. I kept all the effects on their individual clips.

Do forms only work with Adobe hosting or are they now universal?

Just wondering if the forms created in muse can be used on external sites and not just with Business Catalyst.

Why does a pdf document created in Adobe XI give my used an error message that should only occur with Adobe 8 and 9?

why would my customer reading my pdf file get this message: 'Licensing for this product has stopped'?
The message goes on to say, 'you cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help.'
As recommended, I downloaded the 'License Recovery' program only to find that the program only works with Adobe 8 and 9.

As I said, I am new working with Adobe products, like Dw, and now I am creating an animation using Edge Animation.
Actually, I am creating a carrousel with different pictures representing three different apps being displayed from different devices, moving them and creating a simulated
movement for each one, based on the functionality, that action should be activated by a button (i.e.) titled "Inventory", the action to execute is to move
the three related screens ( Desktop, Ipad and Iphone ) from the original position to the middle screen, but at the same time, and this is what I need to know,
If there is another set of screens for a different application, how to move those back to the original position, before moving
the selected one, "Inventory". I tried to use a duplicated transition and inverting, it works, but it doesn't stop waiting for a new action, and how to combine
that movement back with the selected app-transition?
I put two screenshots with the stage and the original position for all of them. I have not created the buttons yet. I imagine I should use some kind
of conditional statements to execute the action sending back those elements located in the middle of screen, because were selected before,
and then execute to animation to move the selected app.
I would appreciate your help on this matter.

I will try to give you more information about I want to do.
I am a Filemaker Developer, and I started creating my webpage, and one of thing I would like to do is this
animation and put it on my website.
What I want is to simulate a carrousel of options to show the selected application using the three buttons,
Now, I put the three buttons and each one of them is moving the three corresponding applications, that's fine.
But the issue I have :
I am using Mouseover and Mouseout to show a different color and size of the buttons, and to execute the
corresponding animation.
For each event I created different labels : Inventory_hover ; Inventory_mouseover ; Inventory_Animation and
Inventory_Animation_Reverse and so on.
Testing that
After I selected one of them, and it ended moving the three pictures to the center of the screen, and then I
leave, the three screens moved to the original position, which is not a bad idea, but I want to control that
moving.
So, what I want as a summary is :
1) to control that back movement. I was trying to figure out how to add some code inside the Animation code, and
just before execute that animation, check if there is another application selected before, and then move that
set of pictures back to the original position, since I have only three applications pictures, and only one can move
at the time, the checking "If Statements" would be for two others conditions.
2) That should be done only when one of the buttons is clicked, and not when the mouse leaves the buttons like it
is happening now.
I attached a zip file with my EA files.

Adobe Form Calling WebService Doesnu00B4t work with Adobe Reader 7

We have created and adobe form that simulates a PM Notification in which the user, without logging into SAP, through an RFC and WebServices can create the notification into SAP.
This process only works with Adobe Reader 9 and not with Adobe Reader 7.
Can anyone tell me what main difference/component/functionality does Adobe Reader 9 have that Adobe Reader 7 doesn´t?
When I call the Webservice through the form in Adobe 7, a pop-up message appears that says:
"Error attempting to read from file.
http://desaecc6.codelco.cl:8001/sap/bc/rfc/sap/zi_aviso_adobe_pm12/222/zi_aviso_adobe_pm12/zi_aviso_adobe_pm12"
Any ideas why this error ocurrs only in Adobe Reader 7?

I cannot tell what are the exact differencies between the version. But I can tell you should always use (at least try to use the newest Reader). I guess you´re not the only developer on Forms, so there are possibly more people depending on the version of the client browser/ Reader. There is a solution for this problem, which does not ask anything from you, only the user.
You can easily test the Reader version through JS coding and act based on the result. I use this like this "if your Reader is lower than 8.1" then "message popup = We are sorry, your Reader is too old, this form won´t work for you. Please upgrade first.". It takes like 5 minutes (10 for lame users at max) to update his Reader.
Maybe you should this about such a test, if the user passes the test, his application won´t have any problem, if not there is no guarantee. And YOU have no problem, nobody tells you "hey sir, your form is not working, I´m not gonna pay you".

Email button doesn't work with Adobe Reader, only Acrobat

Hi,
I'm new to Adobe products and don't have much experience. Here's my problem.
I used LiveCycle Designer ES2 to create a fillable PDF form, with an email submit button. (uses mailto: to open users Outlook and attaches the pdf automatically)
The form is viewable by all, but the email button only works if opened with Acrobat.
Is there a way to have this work with Reader? We obviously don't have Acrobat licenses for every user.
Any support or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is deeper than that. It's not reader. Now the same form I was creating in LifeCycle Designer ES2 yesterday, with the actions working perfectly, no longer work. None of the actions are working.
Could it be realted to me trying to set the default version compatibility to Adobe 7. It gave me warnings, so I set it back to 9.
Any help would be appreciated.

Migrating to Fedora (Linux) - Will Adobe products work well in WINE?

I am doing a big change to my systems and OS's, I see that Linux will do what I need. I am finding options for my other Apps, but I would prefer to continue using my Adobe products (they are not my main Apps). Do Adobe products work well in WINE environment? I am also looking at a crossover app that works in a virtual machine.

Typically you only need to deactivate if you had previously installed your products on 2 machines. Creative Cloud software installed on a 3rd machine will deactivate the previous installations.

Error 150:30 had to move to larger hard drive. Once migrated to new hard drive none of my adobe products work

I recently upgraded to a new larger hard drive. In migrating everything over things seem to have worked out well, but non of my adobe products work any more. I get the message error #150:30 What can I do? If I reinstall each of these software packages, will I loose my templates, brushes and so forth?

Adobe products work properly with my new iMac. Why?

I recently purchased a new iMac and none of my Adobe products work properly with it. I can't click on a PDF and have it open automatically. I have to open it through Adobe Reader. Same with my Adobe Photoshop CS. I can't open an iPhoto image through Photoshop (iPhoto folder is grayed out); I have to drag it over from the iPhoto window to a new Photoshop document of the exact size in order to open it up. Do I need to reinstall my Adobe applications?

You've obviously updated from a quite old version of iPhoto. It's been this way since 2007.
1. Accessing the files in the iPhoto Library has never been supported on any version of iPhoto. If you want to edit the pics with Photoshop then you set it as an External Editor. Dragging to Photoshop or accessing via the Library folders simply do not work with iPhoto as the image in the iPhoto Window does not reflect the changes you have made.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
