Exported image not like image in Photoshop

Hello,
I need some help. I processed one of my cat photos in Photoshop and when I was happy with the results I expored the photo. This is how it looks like in Photoshop:
And this is how it looks like after the export:
Can someone explain to me why the exported image is not like the image in Photoshop?
Thank you for your help!
Jonahan

Hmmm,sorry to hear that.
I assume you do the roundtrip through apps [Lr>Ctrl+E > Ps > Ctrl+S > Lr]
Did you use RAW or Jpg files?
can you check Proof>view setup,or gamut warning if you accidentally check any of these?
Check in the Develop mode in Lr >camera calibration>Adobe standard [although i don`t think is that..]
If you work in both programs with the same color space check your monitor and/or your card
[Maybe your card LUT have a problem, did you calibrate your monitor?]

  • Lightroom 3 does not export images to Photoshop CS5

After updating to Lightroom 3 and CS5 I can no longer send nef or dng-files to Photoshop from Lightroom (Photoshop works perfectly if I load files from Bridge). When I select an image in Lightroom and try to edit it in CS5, Photoshop starts but does not show any image on the screen. Calling Photoshop from Lightroom seems to work, however the file export is missing. This happens both with the "edit in Photoshop CS5 and "edit in Photoshop" option. I have checked the registry entries for photoshop.exe in the registry - they are correct. I use both programs on Windows 7, 64 bit.
I am almost desperate as I have searched the internet and tried out many things without success.
    Grateful for any helpful response,

I had this problem with some images, and after much playing about, I found it was because I had an '&' in either the filename or the folder name. If I deleted the '&' from the filename or foldername the files opened in CS5.

  • Exporting Images from Photoshop to Corel Draw

Hi. I have an image of 400 dpi & image size 47X26inches. I want to export it in corel draw to design an ad for magazine. The size of this image has to be 4X1.5inches. I want to maintain the clearity of the image. So, while exporting should i keep all values same & then export or should i decrease the image size in photoshop(keeping it to 400 dpi) & then export it to corel, which will be better. Pls help

Either export as a smaller image (reducing image quality) or use the custom export option to set the maximum Pixel dimension you want (reducing the actual size of the image is better than reducing the image quality) - see the User Tip on exporting for details on the options available

  • Aperture exported images disable Photoshop CS2 Variations command

    Your comments and help please:
From Aperture, I choose a file to modify in Photoshop CS2. I Export the file to Photoshop. Photoshop opens with the image exported. Unfortunately, the Variations command is grayed-out. I tried TIFF and PSD exports from Aperture. Variations, of course, works when I open the same image from the Finder. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for your help, Nate

I'm fairly sure that the Variations adjustment doens't work with 16-bit images - when you use 'open in an external editor' Aperture passes a 16-bit file to that editor.

  • Image in Lightroom doesn't match exported image viewed in Photoshop

After all my hard work in Lightroom, I export the image to a folder on my hard drive. When I open this exported image in Photoshop and view it alongside the Lightroom version of its "twin" in Lightroom, there is a significant difference. Why is this? I want to use these images in my books, but my time is wasted if I end up with anything other than what I created in Lightroom. Shouldn't these images match exactly?

Thanks Jao and Michael...the color management idea makes a lot of sense.
Adding to this idea, when I open the Pshop file I get a message about the doc having an embedded profile that doesn't match current RGB working space, and the usual 3 options: Use the embedded profile, Convert color to the working space, or discard embedded profile. No matter which option I choose, none of the opened docs match the Lightroom version.
The color balance is fine, but the colors aren't as vibrant. The Pshop photo is dull and lifeless compared to the Lightroom version. I used Clarity which added subtle brightness, and Vibrance to crank up the color in LR which added wonderful dimensionality and punch to the landscape scene, but the Pshop version has dulled these back down.

  • When I have finished working on an image in Photoshop and I hit the save button it goes instead to the "save as" screen. This never happened in previous Photoshop versions. When I get to Lightroom, I have a grey screen the says "File could not be found."

When I have finished working on an image in Photoshop and I hit the "save" button, it goes instead to the "save as" screen. This never happened in previous Photoshop versions. When I get to Lightroom, I have a grey screen the says "File could not be found." I then have to go to "locate" to get the image. When I select the correct image, I get a message that it is not the same file name but I am eventually able to access the image. Needless to say this is having a negative impact on workflow!

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. I will try to check for other problems with the OneDrive troubleshooter though: Running the OneDrive troubleshooter - Windows Help

Same here. I've never had trouble with this function before.
It opens the Photoshop application with all the menus/windows, but it never opens the actual image I chose to work on.
I'm on a Mac, using OS X Yosemite, 10.10.1  Lightroom is version 5.7  Photoshop is CS5, version 12.0.4
FWIW, I also can't automate>Photomerge ... . Makes me think Photoshop, not Lightroom, is all wacky. I tried dumping PS preferences

  • Why are most of my keywords not included when I export images?

Why are most of my keywords not included when I export images?
Since starting with Lightroom 1, I've entered keywords into either of the two fields between "keyword tags" and "keyword suggestions" in the keywording panel.  I was unaware that some keywords are more equal than others, or that Lightroom offered (or has added?) hierarchy support.
I recently stumbled into the news (to me) that Lightroom tags can be organized into a hierarchy, so I exported my keywords to a text file to examine.  I hadn't unwittingly created any hierarchies, but an astounding fraction of the keywords were within square brackets.  Sure enough, if I export an image, keywords within square brackets are omitted from the output (jpeg) file.  How nice.  Since I began with Lightroom 1, I've added nearly 1600 keywords.. Too bad most of them are coded wrong... so as not to accompany output that I create.
    1.     What was I supposed to do, as a photographer beginning to use Lightroom, to enter keywords simply but reliably:  what I type is what I get? I'd expected that's what the "just type here" interface would provide.
I especially dislike obtaining erratic results:  most keywords are in square brackets, but a few are not.  Of course, when I use a simplified interface, I should expect not to have access to some of the options or features.  However, I shouldn't inadvertently trigger undocumented behavior.
    2.     Does the Adobe reference help system say how to enter keywords simply and reliably, in its documentation of the keywording panel? I don't find my answer under the Keywords topic, within Home / Using Photoshop Lightroom 3 / Organizing photos in the catalog.
(I NOW realize that the instructions for the "Create/Edit keyword tags" dialog mention exporting. However, that's not the method I was using.)
    Dick Rawson

I'm afraid that I distracted you with my background mention of hierarcharial keywords; I'm not asking about them.
I've entered keywords for several years of using Lightroom.  Suddenly, this week, I find that most (yet not all) of them have the attribute of "don't include the keyword in an exported file's metadata."  I never intended to ask for that; I thought all keywords will stay with the file and its offspring, and that's what I wanted.
    So I'm asking:
    1.     What did I do "wrong" to induce Lightroom to give the keywords that attribute? I never intended to ask it to.
    2.     Where does Adobe document how to enter keywords reliably so that they stay with the file on output?  I can't find that Adobe does.
    > Can you be more clear about keywords in square brackets? I know when you export the keywords as a list you can get a normalized data file that uses punctuation and tabs as delimiters...
I did export the keywords into such a list:  most keywords in the plain-text list have square brackets surrounding them, indicating keywords that will be omitted from metadata of any image that Lightroom exports.
My concern is not that the brackets are there.  They encode the attribute of "don't include the keyword in an exported file's metadata," and recognizing that attribute concerns me.
    > ...but I've never seen keywords in image files or in the interface rendered so.
    I haven't, either.

  • Exporting images like slideshow

Is there a way to export images with borders (like the slideshow layout) and metadata caption (iptc/exif). I'm using a plug-in Mogrify now, but this way I have to export every photo twice (first to create borders, then to add the metadata). photo below is exported with the Mogrify plug-in.
It would be awsome to export photos like the gallery layout since most lightboxes have only 1 line of caption and no design/edit options. This would save heaps of time.

You can do it all in one export pass using Mogrify, AND have the text/metadata on the border and not the image. In the Text Annotation boxes of the Mogrify section of the export dialog, uncheck the option to "Add annotation before outer borders are applied".
    This was one export pass:

  • What settings are best to export sharpened images from Photoshop to use in Final Cut?

I need to give a professional photographer the correct dimensions to export her images from Photoshop for me to use in Final Cut. I told her:
1080 x 1920, 300 dpi, and also to Convert Images to Apple RGB (Final Cut doesnt work well with Adobe RGB, I am told). Her images have alot of heavy sharpening on them--she is an artist--and when i import them into Final Cut, many of the lines that should be crisp are zig-zagged, and if I apply motion to them, they "shake."
My problem is specific to images that have been highly sharpened in Photoshop; i have imported lots of professional images before with no problem. I am on deadline and hope someone out there will see this.

You were right about trashing the finalcut plist. As well as a very specific set of directions I now have put together from what you and others have said elsewhere, and this is it, i hope it helps others with their Canon XHA1 and Final Cut Express HD:
Trash the final cut preferences (plist) in your Home - LIbrary.
go into the Canon XHA1 menu, make sure that you're not set to down-convert to DV.
Get out of the menu. Shut the camera off,
plug in the firewire cable to both the camera and computer,
and turn the camera back to VCR mode.
Open up Final Cut, and go to Easy Setup ,
choose HDV- Apple Intermediate Codec 1080i60
This worked beautifully but took me nearly four hours to figure out, including researching the web and experimenting in FCE HD

Why can you flip an image in Photoshop, but not Cmera RAW, or can you?  (CS5)

Doesn't look like you can. I'm just a user, so I don't know why. It can be done in Lightroom if that's any consolation.

  • I use Adobe lightroom to export images to Facebook - I am now getting error message related to this process address not understood- how to correct?

I am using Win & Home edition / Mozilla Firefox on my HP laptop. On Oct 8 I used Lightroom to export images to Facebook. Now when I try to repeat this, authentication fails as The address wasn't understood
Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (lightroom) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.
The export process was working, but isn't now. I have ben having problems with Firefox - I wasn't able to retain the settings for opening with my own Homepage (kept going back to Firefox default. So I have done a reset. Seems that this has somehow disrupted the authentication process. Can you help please.

I just dropped into the forums to see if other people were getting the DVD burning verification error (Error code 0x80020063). I've been holding off on the Tiger to Leopard upgrade until very recently. All of my must-have apps were anecdotally stable and I was under the impression that 10.5 was too. Apparently reliable DVD burning is Tiger only, at least on my systems.
We've been burning Taiyo Yuden DVD's almost daily with Tiger with incredibly low failure rates. After what seemed to be a smooth upgrade of a Mac Pro tower & 2 MacBook Pro laptops (one is a Core Duo and the other is a Core 2 Duo) I've spent the entire afternoon troubleshooting until I ended up here. Some searching on the board leads me to conclude that this will be a bigger headache than I imagined.
I've done all the obvious stuff (varied the burn speed, moved the files to a different drive, reset PRAM & SMC, used a different account, deleted finder.plist, tried repairing the system with DU on the Leopard install disc and then I tried burning on different computers with different media). What I'm finding is that over 50% of my DVD's are throwing the error code during verification across 3 different models all running Leopard 10.5.2. CD burning seems to work as before (but we don't use this as much so ?). I saw that some people had posted that closing the finder window helped, but that didn't improve my overall failure rate. The DVD's appear (indentical byte size and item numbers) to be burned correctly and usable, but I need to be sure so I can't trust them.
We need reliable DVD burning for our business and this is a real problem. I was going to trudge over to the Apple store, but it doesn't sound like there's a real fix yet.

This link shows that ACR 8.3 supports the Nikon D610 and 6.7.1 was the final version for CS5.

So you can upgrade to CS6 and ACR 8.7.1
or using the DNG converter, convert your Nikon raw files to dng format to open in CS5.
Here is the download link: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 8.7.1
or Windows: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 8.7.1
And here is a great video tutorial on how to use the converter.
