Exported movie is not the movie I see in FCP

Hi there,
In a Project which was created by another cutter, I export a .Mov from FCP.
The exported movie has the same edits but some of the content is displaced/shifted.
I tried a lot of things to solve the problem.
I checked if the imported footage was some kind of strange
I threw away all the render files of the Project
I opened the original captured footage and saved another .Mov
and (re)connected it
I used FCP-Rescue
none of that worked out for me.
In this Project, the cutter made a lot of speed changes to the clips.
Could this be any hint?
Or could it be anything with the tape?
And:
When I opened the project first I had to Lip sync some parts of the edit.
But as I said everything looks fine, when I watch it in FCP.
Any Ideas?

In my experience, this has only happened when media has been moved from its original location.
Provided you're not working with a long sequence, my advice is to match back your edits and splice the in again. This will assure a mirror export of your sequence.

As by default for ABAP and Dual-Stack systems, profile parameter "ssl/pse_provider" is set to ABAP.
How we are able to solve that issue?

Export Stage Only - Not The WIngs

Hi
I have a FLA file with animation. Some obects in the
animation exit the stage.
When I export the movie, embed the SWF in a web page with DW8
and then view it, I can see the "wings"
That is, Flash has exported more than just the confines of
the stage.
Why is this? How Can I fix it?
Using Flash 8 and DW 8.

I still find it bizarre that Flash publishes the pasteboard
(what I called "wings" yesterday).
What is the point of differentiating between Stage and
Pasteboard when Flash just publishes everything?
There seems to be nothing helpful in the publish settings as

Exported video color not the same as canvas

When I export my project in Motion 5.1 using the default setting for Render: Color + Alpha, Premultiply alpha checked, and the rest of the setting set for "Use canvas setting" and the co-dec Pro Res 422 (HQ), the colors I see on the canvas come out as wash out looking in the exported video. Deep reds come out as light pink. I tried setting the project background (black) as solid instead of transparent thinking that that was the issue but there was no difference. I tried different co-decs and settings in the options before export without any luck. What am I missing here?

Thank you for your reply. I set to Color only and unchecked premultiply alpha and exported with the same results: Color wash out.
I used the default Canvas settings when I created the project from a .psd file supplied to me from the designer so what would be the "properly" set Canvas setting? Normally when I export I just use the "Use canvas setting" for all of the parameters in the Render tab in Export.
I use QuickTime for viewing the exports. Please let me know any more specific info you might need to help you answer this question.

The font I use on my Iweb is not the font i see on my iphone or pc.

Ok so the font i'm using is Skull Typewriter which i downloaded from a free font website. So I checked out my site on a pc and on my iphone and my font is switched to a common boring font. Why and how do i fix this so that everyone across the globe can see the font I intended to be seen.

It's not about being dangerous, it's about being annoying. If I visit 1,000 websites and each one of those websites requests that I download a different custom font, it's a massive waste of my time and space. Not to mention all the issues that occur with spacing and layouts, Mac/PC cross-compatibility issues, screen resolutions and browser compatibility all working against each other.
If you want something to be viewed consistently in the same font and layout, your only guaranteed choice is Flash, which then presents a whole host of other problems to you.

IDVD copies the movie but not the sound

With IDVD one-step-dvd I try to copy edited movies from a Sony Handycam directly to DVD. Unfortenatly it copies only the images but not the sound. Anybody has the same experience and knows the solution? When I import the movie into IMovie the sound is allright.

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

I cannot seem to figure out how to export the pictures I have worked on. I create a collection and when I export them they go to "my pictures" as the originals --NOT the cropped and edited versions. Help!!!

Are you sure you are looking at the exported photos and not the original photos, when you say you don't see the cropping and editing?
If so, then you are probably exporting with Image Format set to "Original" and you probably want to set it to JPG or TIF

I changed the captions for my family photos to include names, but when I exported the photos to make DVD's for family members, the old captions were there and not the new ones. How can I make a DVD to include the new captions with names?

iPhoto shows you these Titles but the Finder shows you Filenames
If you export (File -> Export) you'll get the Export dialogue. Note the option at FileName to use the Title as filename for the exported photo

Export Column List not being Obeyed

Running on win7 64-bit.
SQL Developer Version 3.1.07
In the table list in the connections window, if I right click on a table, specify to only export data (i.e. no DDL), alter the columns to be exported, all works fine. Only those columns I specified are in the export (using the insert statements option - actually, i just quickly tested with csv and the same pattern occurs).
On the other hand, if I am in the Tables data view, if I right click in the grid, select Export, alter the columns to be exported, all columns are exported (even those I had un-selected).
Albeit, I am running java 1.7.0_04, which I understand isn't supported with sql developer, but still seems odd the column specification works with one export function and not the other.

Thanks for reporting this. As a workaround, do this:
1. In the Object Viewer Data tab, right-click on any column heading.
2. Select Columns... from the context menu
3. Use the Manage Columns feature to hide the columns you wish to exclude from export.
4. Do the export. Step 2 of the Export Wizard still shows all columns as being selected, but will ignore the ones you have hidden from the Data tab.

It appears what happened is the installer though it was looking at a empty drive and just went ahead and installed.
I of course am assuming here you didn't use Disk Utility to format the drive first before installing, that would wipe out your files and programs for sure.
So what to do, what to do.
Well there is hope for you as long as the drive wasn't Filevaulted.
I'll explain. When a hard drive writes data for the first time to a drive, it starts at the very top and works it's way down.
When OS X was installed the first time, it was at the top of the drive, unless you upgraded then the upgraded OS X could have been written elsewhere.
Now when you just reinstalled OS X, the new OS went on the top of the drive, overwriting any data that was there previously, so what was there you have lost forever which is about 8GB or so. If it was the previous OS there, then your more in luck because only the old OS X was overwritten.
The remaining space on the drive still can have a copy of your files, provided it's not overwritten yet.
It's because when a hard drive deletes data or reformats, it doesn't remove the data off the drive or overwrites it immediately, it's just made so it's SPACE is available for new files to be written there.
So technically one can recover the deleted data off a non-encrypted/scrubbed hard drive with special software.
The way it does this is it reads the 1's and 0's of the files themselves, and through a lot of figuring out, can tell what that file is and what it belongs too.
So what you will have to do is this:
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
or if you don't have the skills, then take it to a local PC/Mac tech and they can do a direct image of the drive and then you can run Data Rescue on it to rebuild your files.

Imovie 11 Can't Export Movies NOT ENOUGH ROOM IN THE HEAP ZONE!

I have plenty of space on my hard drive, no other programs are running, and the video being exported is only 6 minutes and 57 seconds long.
I am working on a short film and 90% of the time that I try and export it in 720 I get an error, because there is not enough room in the heap zone. Then after I restart the computer if I am lucky I can get it to export 1 out of 10 trys. It has nothing to do with the title I give the video.
I need the video exported in 1080, but it gives me the same error EVERY TIME! Even when I export to quicktime and use various settings I keep getting the same heap zone error. What is the deal!?! I have exported an hour long documentary and didn't have this problem. I erased all my previous projects and events and still I get this error
UNABLE TO EXPORT MOVIE
The movie could not be exported because an error occurred. (Not enough room in the heap zone /)
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

I have the same problem when trying to export a 720P movie to iTunes. Reboot did not help nor did renaming the project. I have an older MacPro with dual 3.0s, 11 Gb Ram and slightly less than 1Tb free space on the boot drive. This is a software issue, not a hardware problem. Apple please fix the myriad of problems with iMovie 11. My productivity has ground to a halt with my 4 month old iLife Software. How did this software ever pass muster!!!!! I can't believe anyone would purchase the new version of Final Cut given the horrible product you've included with the last iLife Set. This is an example of why I left the Microsoft Windows community. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! I usually create 4 to 5 movies a month for the flying community I live in. I have completed one since January, and it was a mess due to software glitches. My attempt to re-render an old iMovie 9 creation has been met with failure. I understand that you attempted an update on your daughter’s iPhone but the update will not complete. For this type of situation, it may be necessary to place your iPhone into recovery mode and restore. Please use the instructions located in the attached article to complete this process.

Exporting movie from keynote 6.2 - soundtrack and frames not per original presentation

I just created a Keynote 6.2 presentation (on a MBP with OS 10.9.4), with recorded soundtrack, with the frames timed per that soundtrack. When I export it as a QT movie, there are few options to select (Format and timings for next slide/next build - which latter two shouldn't apply, since the timings are built into the presentation - right?) File comes out as an ~.m4v file type and the frame timings and the soundtrack are all way off from the original.
My questions are: i) what am I doing wrong in exporting this as a movie (I want to upload it to YouTube eventually), and ii) is this a common issue transferring from Keynote 6.2 to QT? How to bring the text/images, frame and sound timings back into sync per the original??
I appreciate any and all help with this. The frustration level is starting to build!!

Slideshow recording option in QT export will not be available until you create a slideshow recording.
To create a Slide Show recording:
Select the first slide in the Navigator pane.
From the menu: Play > Record Slideshow The recording mode shows you the current time, current slide, and next slide. To change the layout and see your presenter notes, a timer, and more, click the options button: top right of screen then select options you want.
To start recording your presentation, click at the bottom of the window.The timer counts down from 3 before recording begins.
To advance to the next slide, press the Right Arrow key. You can pause the recording at any time by clicking the Pause button.
Click to resume recording.
Click to stop the recording.
Press the Escape (Esc) key to save the recording and exit the presentation.

when exporting, movie always tries to fade to black toward the end. trying to export just one picture, i realize that when exporting multiple pics to a movie it fades to black at the end, but im just doing one pic. settings are as follows, ken burns effect is being used, settings in slideshow, transition are "none". settings in "adjust" show transition as "none" also. this is my first post so hope that this makes sense. thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I tried to duplicate your settings and exported to a QT movie. The movie did not fade to black at the end. It does fade when played in iPhoto.
My settings were:
In the slideshow window:
Effect: none
Default transitiion: none
In the settings pane:
KB is checked, transition is none.
It's the same whether there's music or not.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

Exported movie not same using SmoothCam.

I do aerial videography and have a problem I have read about in the Forums but can't find an answer.
Did some footage - used SmoothCam Filter - exported movie - movie looks worse than original footage.
Footage is smooth viewing in FCP but any exported movie is worse than original.
Exported an unaltered movie, imported same in FCP, then used SmoothCam with no differenct.
Looks good in FCP but any movie is terrible.
Some help would be really appreciated because I would love to put this short clip up so a customer can view it.

You would be surprised with the positive results I have gotten from SmoothCam on aerial ( moving ) footage.
Looks like a WesCam.
In the past, once the final product is finalized I burn a master DVD and the video in the DVD is just as smooth.
Only when I Export to a .mov do I see the movie as if the SmoothCam was not used at all.
