Exported muse site won't switch to mobile

Hello,
I just recently created a muse site for silascruces.com
They wanted to use an outside host so we ftp'd the exported muse files and now when I go to the site on my phone, it doesn't switch to the mobile version like it used to when I had it on business catalyst.
Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix the problem?
I have an idea of what the problem might be but would like to read your input on the issue first!

I just checked on my phone and your site is redirecting to Phone version.
Did you manage to fix it? if not, please try some other phone or try to clear Browser cache of your phone.

Yes other files open just fine. I agree that somehow when doing the last save there was some sort of error that happened that corrupted the file. I am hoping that either there is some sort of work around so I don't lose my whole website.
Please let me know.
Also, I have seen in other threads that you guys have had people send you their file do that the development team could try and "repair" the file before sending it back. Is that something you guys still do? If so am I eligible?

Help! Some sections of my Muse Site won't work after upload

It's really frustrating and I don't know why it doesn't work I have checked everything and anything, all links!
The website works perfectly fine on my computer, but as soon as I upload the site, some section won't work.
'Home' and 'Das Grill-Center' work just finde, but 'Speisekarte', 'Kontakt' and 'Impressum' don't work. When I click on the link it always says:
"Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server."
the sites name:
www.grill-center-bruehl.de
I have noticed that if I search online for the direct link http://www.grill-center-bruehl.de/dasgrillcenter.html it comes up (that is the part that works). The direct link http://www.grill-center-bruehl.de/speisekarte.html doesn't work. but the html site is definately uploaded

Change Active Tab on TABBEDMENU Widget after exporting MUSE site to HTML

We need to be able to change the active tab, not default tab, on a tabbedmenu widget based on an event from a button on the site using onCLick - onTouchStart etc.

As far as your web site is concerned, have you already tried the built in FTP upload feature from the File menu? I checked your web site again and it gave me a server permission error.

Muse mobile site won't pinch or zoom on iPhone?

I cannot manage to get the iphone muse site I have created to zoom in, it will scroll down and up, but say I want to zoom in to read something up close it won't work.
If anyone can advise on this that would be great. The normal site on the web works fine but table and phone won't.

I found out what was causing the problem. I disabled the Parallax scrolling effects and the pinch and zoom started working.

Can Someone PLEASE Tell Me Why My Muse Site Will Not Work Upon HTML Export?

Sorry for the long title!
I've had a few threads going regarding troubles with my Muse site. These issues have been on-going, and once I was no longer able to upload to Fetch—and had to export to html via FileZilla—it just seems the problems continue to snowball.
I have a web site. I will disclose the URL here now: www.jamescdarling.com
When this site was html-based (its original form), using my yahoo small business web host and Fetch, it worked like a charm. All Flash files functioned at 100%, embedded videos/players all played great, etc. Then, I switched over to Muse 1.) because I was excited by the potential, and 2.) I wanted to re-design my site, anyway.
So, I created my site in Muse, and uploaded it all into Fetch. I soon found that some of my Flash files and videos were not working. This was the case for a long time. I finally gave up after trying everything and asking lots of questions here.
Just recently, I set out to fix these issues as I was afraid this half-assed site would appear to make me look unprofessional and like I had no idea how to use Flash. I had some problems with the new Muse Update (had to ditch Fetch and use "export with html" using FileZlilla). Changes made to my Muse file were not taking... and each time I viewed my updated site, the updates were not there—it still looked like the previous incarnation of the site. However, with some help from some of the good folks here, I was able to make my site not only update, but work nearly perfectly—or so I thought!
I just clicked on my personal web site URL link in my LinkedIn page, and I see the old-looking site! The bookmark I have of my site is near-perfect—only the videos still will not load. However, it would seem that my site only functions as well as it does on MY computer only—that is, URL's I have been sending out probably are of the old non-functioning site? The changes I make are not being recognized.
If you will, click on my above URL (in bold)..... If you click on "Resume", you should see light blue rules separating each section. But I bet you will see heavier gray bars with headers inside them. Also, if you view my Flash work, go to the "Epiphone Casino Mini Site".... the "Finshes" and "Features" pages' interactive elements will not function as they should (never mind the video page!)—but they work perfectly when accessing my site from my bookmark on my computer.
Can someone please tell me how to make my site update web-wide, and how to get my Flash files to function?

It seams a lot of folks are haveing issues with FTP upload. Try these areas to look at. Maybe the right answer. I dont use Flash on my sites for a long time now. Anyhow, check these out.

Third Party Hosting Muse Site - 404 Error on Mobile

Hi guys,
I recently exported my Adobe Muse site files (pixelariumstudio.com), uploaded them into FileZilla, and then uploaded the site to GoDaddy hosting services using FileZilla.
The site looks great on desktops but I receive a 404 error whenever I try to view the site on mobile devices (even tablets). I called GoDaddy thinking it was a problem on their end but after two opinions from two separate calls, I've been informed it's the code of the site itself that is the problem. The funny thing is, when the site was hosted through Adobe, it appeared fine on mobile devices but when the site was moved over to GoDaddy, the 404 error arose.
I'm wondering if Muse writes specific code for displaying a site in mobile browsers that is not recognized by third party hosting services because GoDaddy is not redirecting the site to the mobile view and instead just coming up with a 404 error. If so, is there any way to change the code that Muse writes to display the site on mobile devices so that GoDaddy can recognize it? I've done some research online to see what basic code is used to redirect a site to the mobile view but all I came up with was:

Every guide I find says to place that tag right after the <head> and I do but still no luck getting the website to display on mobile devices. If anyone knows the proper coding to get GoDaddy to display a Muse site on mobile devices, I would forever be in your debt. Sounds like you haven't uploaded all the files exported by Muse.
Specifically, it looks like you didn't upload the 'phone' folder.
If you use Filezilla or another 3rd party FTP tool, you have to be sure to upload all the files exported by Muse for your site to work correctly.
You can also use the 'Upload to FTP host...' menu item within Muse to upload all the files to your web hosting provider.

Help need to switch Muse site to BC on a allready hosted plan

Hi, i also posted on BC forum...
I have a client that was in a hurry to have his emails accounts before the entire website.
So i went on and bought the email marketing plan (cos he will also need to do email campains) an pointed his domain everything is working fine, at this moment he has his accounts the domain is live.
The site would be just a small 7-10 pages not to complicated.
Has a graphic designer (who has venture into Business catalyst cos it had all the solutions i needed, well that's what the promotional videos said anyway) I made a site in Muse.
First i did a temporary page thats says "comming soon", and then i made the entire site, all the design and menu but with blank pages cos the client didnt have all the content yet (and still dont have). I uploaded that site to a sub directory so he could see the evolution.
He approved the design, yay!
At the end of the process, he told me he needed to have full control with the editor. (style, images, bulleted list, need to put downloadable document like pdf etc.) i told him that he could only modify what was allready there with the Muse in Browser editing (that he saw when i made the pitch using another site) he was impress with the way it worked.
so i told him i would have to remake "template".
I thought of using a BC template, and modify the looks to adapt to my client image, Of course, use a responsive theme so he could make the change at one place only. (cos in Muse you need to make the changes on the 3 layouts).
Now, i created a new temporary site using one of the new responsive template available.
How can i import that new site onto his live domain? In other words, how can a switch from a theme made in Muse, to a BC template?
cant i just delete everything in the root folder, and upload the entire new site via ftp?
please help me find the solution. i am a bit in a panic here

Unfortunately we cannot change site template of a live site in BC , but as a workaround Create a site from BC using the template you wish to use then publish the site from Muse to the site created from BC and transfer the contents stored from live site to trial site. Ater final transition is done , you can delete the already paid site and make live the new trial site which includes new site template.

Why is my clients Muse site not exporting images properly?

As you confirmed, the site looks fine in another platform (Business Catalyst). Let's try one more thing here.
If you haven't already, please export the site from Muse to a location of your choice in your computer using the "File -> Export As HTML" option in Muse, and once done, go to that location and run the pages locally to check if the images look fine there. If they do, that means the images are exported fine from Muse, and the issue is most possibly at the host's end.
In that case, please have the host "reset your FTP permissions" and reupload the site to see if that resolves the issue.

Site won't launch in MUSE

Most of my MUSE sites open fine but one won't. The ball just spins and MUSE eventually has to relaunch.
This is a major client site. It's not been reopenned since I upgraded MUSE recently.

Replied in the chat room but I just saw this email.
The MUSE file is 21.3 MB.
The assets and the TWOG-June2013.muse file are in the same folder on my server.
This is the same method my other sites use. I opened other sites just fine.
This probem file hasn't been opened since last October. I'm sure theres been some updates since then, although I don't know if that is relavant.
If I try to open the file from within MUSE the Apple "beachball" simply spins. If MUSE is close and I double click the TWOG-June2013.muse file MUSE just starts to launch but only the green Mu screen appears and the spinning "beachball." I have to FORCE QUIT MUSE to continue.

Mac_Heibu has the right idea. When you export your site to HTML, it creates a folder that contains all of your pages. Here's an example of what the folder will contain. All of your HTML pages, all your scripts, CSS, and it'll also have individual folders WITHIN your main folder for your phone or tablet versions, if applicable. This method allows you to upload your files to an FTP host. However, if you're trying to upload it to an FTP, the BETTER option would be to go File > Upload to FTP Host. Is it necessay to add a canonical tag to tablet and mobile versions of a Muse site?

I know that they don't actually touch anything on the site. However when you create a tablet version of your site, they "take care" of the redirection to the tablet version. So I am wondering if a search engine views the tablet version as duplicate content when everything is nearly the same... or does muse put something in the code that would let robots know this like a canonical tag?

I can't swear to this because I do not have the Netflix app, but I believe that the most recent upgrade to the app requires you to watch the movies in landscape mode now and it cannot be changed.

Message "switch to mobile site". Not sure what this means

When I am surfing the web I keep getting a pop up that says "switch to mobile site". I'm not sure what this means since I don't have a mobile site. I am new to the Ipad so I am looking for help.

Many websites have a link at the bottom of the page that says "Mobile" or "Mobile Site" or something to that effect. If you tap on that it will take you to the version of the website that is best suited for mobile devices, iPads, iPhones, etc. The mobile sites are optimized for mobile devices and will include videos that will be viewable in iOS that were created in html5 rather than Flash which is no longer supported on mobile devices and never was supported in iOS. When you see that message look for the link somewhere on the website or just tap OK if it gives you the option to switch to the mobile version in the popup message.
Some websites have a Mobile Button that is quite visible at the top of the home page. You can see the Mobile button here under the word Events on the NFL.com home page.

Why won't my Muse site publish to my client's BC account?

I switched accounts in Muse to my client's BC account and then published the website. When I try to register the domain name on their BC account it says they have to upgrade and pay to have their GoDaddy domain registered. That's all fine and dandy until I try to preview the site I should've just uploaded to their BC account and it shows the BC trial site, NOT the one I just published from Muse. If I could get some help on how to actually publish the Muse site on my client's BC account and get them all launched with the domain they already paid for through GoDaddy that'd be great. Thanks!!

If your client has subscribed to Creative cloud subscription using the same email that you have used in Muse switch accounts then they can push live the site using there free site counts.
But if they have not subscribed to CC subscription , they would not have the free site counts.
In this case you would need to publish using your account and then push live site which will use one count out of your 5 free site counts.
