Exporting a masked transparent FLV from PSD
A few days ago, i exported a quicktime Animation from
photoshop which had a mask around an object so that the outside of
the object was masked and transparent. encoded to FLV and imported
to Flash and it worked fine. There was something about it I decided
to change the next day, but I haven't been able to repeat the
process and get the transparency in the video.
I am placing it on the stage over a background image fro a
website.
Please help, it is driving me nuts.
I tried importing the whole PSD document instead of the
animation export and it seems to do the trick.
making video from layers in import, now if I can get the
animation to loop, I'd be in heaven.

Bridge: when I want to export from .psd to .jpeg the export window opens but the target (Ziel) window is empty, thus no target can be selected. This happens since a brigde shut down after "out of memory"

Exporting to FLV from Premiere

I have PPOCS4 and I have a short 4 min clip. I have tried to export the movie to flv several times...and I can't get the movie to play back when I use the FMS3 server. If I use progessive, all is OK. If I convert using Sorenson, all is fine? Why is that? What could I be doing wrong?
I have used the presets in the system also.I see what you are saying...yes that does work, and i could do that, but my family from the Ukraine does not have high speed internet. I have a home page that I developed to help keep them up to date of family affairs.
Video through FMS 3.5 is a good option since I don't need a full blown option where a lot of visitors will be coming.
Progessive is just too slow for them and emailing would be better than the progressive download...
there just has to be something that I am doing wrong to get the file to play on FMS...
Anyone with perhaps some settings that they use that they know works...I would like to try that.

Can't export .flv from FCP!
Hello, I am new to these forums and to flash so any help is appreciated.
Here's my problem. I am trying to export a .flv from FCP. I know that I can't do it directly so I was able to get my hands on a copy of Flash CS4 from my boss. I installed it onto my computer but none of the export options have been updated to included the .flv option. I am pretty sure that I have to install a plugin or something but I am not sure what or where that info is?
Also, what will yield a better looking video? Exporting from FCP to Compressor? or Exporting a QT reference video and using Adobe Media Encoder?
Thanks for the help.Perhaps we're just arguing about semantics, but the fact is that it will play successfully in the flash viewer and I have been delivering h264 files to webdesigners for the last 6 months which are simply renamed with the flv extension. And if this is what the OP needs to do, it will work for him. Do some searching here and you'll see this is common practice. If you look at what formats the last few iterations of the flash player will accept, you'll see h264 is fine.

Problem: importing a transparent image from Photoshop to Premiere.
Dear Adobe community,
I am trying to import a transparent image from Photoshop to Premiere Pro CC. Whatever file format I choose to export from Photoshop, Premiere Pro CC will not import the file correctly. When I import is, two things occur: 1) the image gets imported, but the white background is still there or 2) the image gets an error "The importer reported a generic error".
Does anyone have an idea how I can get an image with a white background transparent into Premiere Pro CC.
Specs:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, eind 2013)
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB RAM
1536MB Intel Iris videocard

ChristiaanYou need to make sure the image has an alpha channel.
Images like jpeg dont have an alpha channel.
Psd or png do and the image has to be RGB.
Make sure the background in PS is also transparant. -
How to import an alpha channel from .PSD file?
I have a photoshop file (.psd) with an alpha channel. When I import this file into AE, I do not see the alpha being available or perhaps I don't know how to find it. I've followed this instruction but nothing happens afterwards. Okay, so my question is, when I drop the .psd file into my comp, how or where do I enble the alpha channel?

It could be. But note that I can produce an identical case in which this behavior is not a bug.
The thing is, in the world of video applications, Alpha Channel means "fourth channel used to store transparency values".
In Photoshop, it normally means the same thing, but it can also mean "arbitrary channel created and stored for whichever reason the user may want it on the future". Typically, to save a selection so that it can be retrieved later. In fact, you can have many of these arbitrary channels.
So, imagine this scenario:
1. User makes a selection of the outline of the house.
2. Instead of cutting the pixels outside the house, or creating a layer mask, the user goes to the Channels panel and hits the "Save selection as channel" button (or equivalent menu command).
Photoshop creates a fourth channel (or even a fifth or a sixth if there were additional channels already), which is called "Alpha" but the user never did anything to make the information in that channel produce transparency.
If after making the selection, the user would have cutted pixels or created a layer mask, then that operation would be relfected on what we normally consider as Alpha channel.
In this case, what you can do is go to channels pannel, control click the thumbnail so that the channel is loaded as selection, then create a layer mask (Layer > Layer Mask > Current selection) from that selection. That's it. -

Open the exported movie in QuickTime Player.

I just installed CS5, so I would think I shouldn't be bothered with an older, problematic Flash Video Encoder. I don't think I should have to convert an MOV file to an FLV file using QuickTime Reader or anything else. Why doesn't it export correctly out of FCPro 7.0.2?oh well.

Text layers from PSD is converted as images when imported to Muse
I want to import text layers from PSD files into Muse as text and not as images. Currently when I insert the text layers, they are converted into images. Is there a way to do this?
Hi Jeffree, I have lot of content in my page and I need the same exact position of the text in my page. I am trying to automate it so that I can avoid copy paste error. Is there a way to make the psd text layer import to export as text in MUSE?

Creating FLVs from Final Cut Pro
I am trying to create an FLV from Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 on an
Intel Mac. I have intalled the exporter plugin but it does not show
up as an export option in FCP. Does anyone know why this is
happening? Do they not yet have an FLV exporter for FInal Cut Pro
5?
I am stumped any help would be greatly appreciated.The only way I could make it work was to open FCP using
Rosetta. This opens the program as if it were running on an older
(non Intel) MAC. The plugin should then show up where it is
supposed to. I guess they haven't come up with an Intel MAC plugin
yet.
To open as a Rossetta program control click on the FCP icon
and click on Get Info. Then click on the Open using Rosetta
box. -
Export a 3D title text from after effects to my desktop
I am having trouble exporting my 3D title text from after effects to my desktop to use in premiere pro...sending to render que but won't render for export. Am I missing a step?
It would help if we knew your render settings, your experience level with AE, a little more about your workflow. Even knowing what version of AE and what OS may be helpful. This is probably just user error. Normal workflow would be to add the composition to the render cue, select a folder (the desktop is a lousy place to store assets by the way) and then press render. Without changing anything you'll get lossless DIm (digital intermediate) suitable for use in any NLE but not suitable for playback. If you need transparency then you should select lossless with alpha in the output module from the pull down.
If you want something else then tell us more.
Inside AE, if you see a search help field at the top right corner of the app type in 'rendering,' press enter, then read through the first two articles. -

File -> Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12.1.3 in few systems. Can you please let me know what could be the issue.
If export record count more than 200 it is working fine in all the systems and if change the profile option "Export MIME type” value to ‘text/tab-separated-values’ from application/excel also it is wokring.

To make a 24-bit AVI file in Photoshop, go to File>Export>Render Video. Then, under File Options, choose AVI from the Quicktime Export drop-down menu. Click the Settings button. Click the Settings button in the AVI Settings window. Change Compression to None, and then choose "Millions of Colors" from the Depth drop-down under Compression.
The Millions of Colors option is for 24-bit video (8-bit R+G+B channels, 8x3=24). Millions of Colors+ is for 32-bit video (24-bit video plus an 8-bit alpha channel).
