Exporting a PDF / Pages says "not valid"

Hi,
Regardless of what I enter in the "pages" range on the print dialog, (spreads checked) it gives me a popup that says "One or more of the pages specified are not valid page names".
I have a running template for a magazine I design and it started last issue.
I can put "Sec1:4-Sec1:5" or "Sec:4" or any seeming correct combination..
It doesn't work, I get the popup.
I have to send PDF lo-res proofs to my editors and this is a real problem.
Does anyone have suggestions on what is wrong?

Please test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes. Keep in mind that no one here represents Apple or can help with customer-service issues.
Step 1
A purchased app can only be updated by signing in to the App Store with the same Apple ID that was originally used to buy it. There's no way around that limitation, which also applies to free apps. Step 4
From the App Store menu bar, select

Enter your Apple ID password at the prompt. At the lower right corner of the window that opens, click the Reset button. Close the window.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select Canada

Export "Adobe PDF Page Size" ?

Hello:
Is there a way to export custom Adobe PDF Page Sizes from computer to computer? We have a series of custom page sizes for Architectural sheets and currently we have to enter them manually for each computer in the office.

Seeing 750k described as a huge PDF is amusing when I often need to send files for print that are 750 mb or more.
That aside, exported PDF nearly always is larger than distilled PDF because it can include a lot more information like transparency and color management intents. The warning about fonts just means that the preset is set to not embed fonts during distilling to reduce file size (so the viewer must have the fonts on the system for viewing or printing properly), and ID always embeds fonts during export unless they are restricted, so not embedding your fonts will be ignored. You can unembed them using the optimizer.
So why is a 750k PDF too large? Perhaps there's a better format all around for what you are doing.

Confirmed serial number valid but when I do set up says not valid

I managed to get a tech on chat who confirmed my serial number for CS6 Master Suite was valid but when I do set up and enter sn it says it is not valid.

Choose paper source by PDF page size not working

I have a document that I printed to the Adobe PDF printer that is 36x24 and enabled "Choose paper source by PDF page size". However, when it prints the size is 16.59x11.56 (A3). Has anyone else had this? I can print it properly by disabling the option and hard setting the size in the properties. I have co-worker that has no problem with this.
I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and so does my co-worker.

If you have not updated Acrobat, try that before you go further. Currently AA9 is at 9.5.1.

Acrobat Reader won't read pdfs: "file path not valid"

I thought that my PlayBook would be the perfect device to read pdfs in the Adobe Reader. The only problem is when I download a pdf from the internet, or copy a pdf from my computer, and click on the file icon from within the Reader, all I get is a cryptic error message that reads "The file path is not valid". No hints at what to do.
At first I thought it was a problem with the file. But every file suffers from the same ill fate. Do you have any suggestions?

2. Select Security -> Application Permissions
3. Select Adobe Reader application
4. Edit file permissions setting to allow the application to access files stored on BlackBerry PlayBook
5. Save settings by selecting Back button after making changes

Very Very Urgnet -- export to pdf error -- File not found

Hi to all,
I have a major problem while exporting pdf files at runtime
Using VB 6.0 and Crystal Reports 8.5, I am able to generate the required report.
While exporting to the pdf, I need to save the files without any user interaction.
I have tried using the exportoptions, but it gives error

Certain pdf pages do not get printed but print blank

I am a mac user (OS X Yosemite v. 10.10.2) and have used acrobat xi pro 11.0.10.
I notice once that some pages did not print from a pdf and after updating all drivers of the printer still I have the same problem.
My printer is Canon ImageClass MF 8580 CDW.
For example, I do see on the screen pages 1 through 80 of a pdf but when print only certain pages get printed and some just get printed blank.
The result is same when I print all pages or current page from the option.
Anyone has same experience?
I just tried to "save as" postscript and it is saved exactly it were to print out via a printer - print certain pages and certain pages printed blank.
This is happening even though I see all pages properly scanned in the pdf and I can see every single page in the pdf.
Not knowing how pdf and actual printing works, it is hard to figure out what is wrong with this scanned pdf to print out all pages.

I resolved this problem -
The problem was - a pdf file scanned from a scanner fails to print pages having only black; but print pages having at least two color combination (i.e. black + blue)
What I did was -
Click "advanced" and checked when "Print As Image" was unchecked.
Then click OK and Print.
Then it printed all the pages that I had trouble with, apparently having all black.
Sara Foresberg, Staff, was helping me in troubleshooting and may be able to explain why "print as image" was the key to this situation.
It is so simple solution but it took me a couple of hours... Hope this would be helpful for someone similarly situated like me.

HT1539 Digital copy code on the DVD Knight and Day saying 'not valid', please help.

I bought the DVD Knight and Day and i have tried to download the digital copy of the film, however when i go to add my serial number for itunes which was on the slip in the dvd box, it says ' this code is not valid', i have entered the code many times and correctly, please help.

From what I can tell, the digital copy offer for Alvin & the Chipmunks expired back in March; at least it did for the Blu-Ray version in the US. This is a scam being run by the movie studios; they advertise digital copies on the Blu-Ray and DVD disks they sell, but don't tell you up front that they're redeemable only for a limited time after the movie is first released. You may need to contact customer support for 20th Century Fox and get them to help:

You cannot use a Mac serial on Windows. Changing platform can be an expensive task. However, since CS6 is still current Adobe MIGHT convert the license for you if you contact them.

Sending an email to a valid address,yet iphone say not valid

Have just got first, iphone, have set up pop3 email correctly. yet when i send an email, i get a message syaing either the address is not valid, which it is, or is an incorrect address which it's not. never had a problem with any previous phones, yet this seems to want to complicate a very simple process.

Not sure that there is one in today's world of spamming - frankly, I'm glad my ISP and/or web email hosting service et al have these in place.
This is what I do for any emails which need to be sent to more than about 10 - 15 people:
I prepare an email with attachments if necessary and have my address book open. I start inserting email addresses in the BCC field until I reach a certain number. I open a new message window, paste in the email, and work on the next 50 or so. I do this until I've enough emails to cover every recipient I want to send this to. I then send one or more emails, wait about 2 hours, send more, etc, etc - you get the idea.
Also, be advised: Comcast has told me that they watch the activity; although they do not have a maximum in my case, if they feel that you could be a spammer by the number of emails and recipients, they may not allow the usual port for you to send email through and you will get errors.

Toshiba 40TL938G blue screen on initial screen page - service not valid

today my Toshiba 40TL938G give me a bad joke.
When i power on tv it give me a message on blue screen (like windows) that tell me
"updated frequency and you must search again channel" and later "service not valid".

No, as far as I know and according to user manual which I could find in the net, there is no button reset combination. To reset the TV you have to go to the settings.
But if this isnt possible I think you will need to contact an service guy to check the TV.
