Exporting a Podcast

Within iTunes:
How can I save a Podcast to a CD
Additionally, how do I export it to send it as an attachment in an email.
Thank you very much,

1. Create a Playlist
2. Put the Podcast (or Podcasts) in the playlist
3. When you then view the playlist (by clicking on it in the list) you should now have the option to Burn CD in the lower right hand side of the iTunes window. This will only work for Audio Podcasts.
To send via an email, just drag the podcast from the iTunes window, into your email.

  • How do you export a podcast series?

Is there a way to burn to CD or export a Podcast series? In other words, I have a podcast I subscribe to with several sessions. How can I burn the entire series to a CD, or export it? I want to transfer a podcast series to my desktop to put on my iPod or archive.
If I transfer the individual files, there is no way I can find to get iTunes to recognize the podcast. it'll play them, but it won't put them in the appropriate podcast playlist. It also won't copy the playlist information.
For example, my Ebert & Roeper has the movie reviews for the month of September. Each Review has the week name in the Podcast, and a complete description. How do I transfer this intact to another computer?
    Thanks.

Hi aandd, you buy the series and seasons from iTunes and itunes stores the fact you have purchased them in your account.  You can then stream them through apple tv whenever and how often you want.

  • Exporting a podcast to quicktime

I have made a podcast with garageband and there is no problem to export the podcast to iWeb. All the pictures are included. But if I try to export to iTunes I only get the music, but not the pictures. I would like to know if it is possible to export my podcast as a movie/quicktime.
    Thank you
    /svannte

I have this problem too, and no, AAC compression doesn't rectify it. The resulting file is an m4a, and while Quicktime will display the pictures for the podcast in this format, iTunes won't. I'm pretty certain it's the file type produced, iTunes doesn't recognize it as a visual format, only as an audio. But on the other hand, QuickTime and RealPlayer both do, so that might solve your problem

  • Why can't I export my podcast?

I just upgraded to Garageband 10.0.2 and I'm having a problem exporting my podcast in it.  In the previous version I have had no problems exporting podcasts that were over 2 hours long.  Now I'm trying to export one that is 1 hour 45 minutes and it's telling me the file size of the bounce range exceeds that maximum limit.  I'm trying to export to a 128 kBit MP3.
Did something change wit the new version that won't allow me to do this?  What is happening there?

Are you exporting to a thumbsdrive or to the disk? The file size limit might be imposed by the filesystem of the drive you are exporting to.

  • GB3 Exporting Enhanced Podcast: Stuck at "converting"

I'm trying to share>export a podcast with three images, and it starts to export.
    It does the mixdown
The blue thing goes to the right for 'converting'
But now for the past 15 minutes It's been stuck at 'converting'. (where white/blue lines rotate)
Basically it is not exporting anything.
It does export the song if I turn the podcast track off.
    Image is a 28k JPG
    What can I do?

and it doesn't matter if I try to export it to iweb, itunes or disk. it keeps the rotating lines thing.

  • How to I export my podcasts list to OPML?

    As the title says...
You used to be able to do this by right-clicking on 'podcasts' in the lists of sources, but with the war on the sidebar intensifying this doesn't appear to be the case any more.  The only place you can find 'podcasts' as a source is under Podcast playlists, and right clicking it now options for play and shuffle only.
Is OPML export still possible some other way, or has it been removed (and thus another retrograde step in a long list relating to v12)?

Sorry - scratch that.  Found the answer:
    http://support.downcastapp.com/customer/portal/articles/476143-importing-podcast -subscriptions
(when you select save as... it offers to save a file called podcasts.txt but you can change the file type to opml before saving)
    Hope this helps someone else

  • Exporting for Podcast

I'm trying to export some of our shows for Podcast, however when I export in the iTunes Video Large (.mp4) format, I end up with nearly every other frame being a flash of bright green.
Anybody know what is the best way to export a video (with audio) for podcasting? Thanks

First, if you downgrad to QuickTime 7.4.5 all should be ok.
I did notice that I see the flashes when viewins on a windows Vista machine. When I transferred the mp4 files to my iPod, they played fine.

  • Exporting Enhanced Podcast

Using GB 08 to create enhanced podcast with embedded jpeg files of PowerPoint presentation. Completed the episode and exported using export to iTunes but it only appears in iTunes as a AAC music files no images appear. I tried exporting to disk and adding to the iTunes library with same result.
The files will play and display images correctly using Quicktime but not iTunes. I also tried exporting to iWeb, hoping I could pull the converted file from there to upload into iTunes but no luck.
So what gives?! I've mixed results when using GarageBand to create podcasts and starting to think I should just stick to using iMovie to do this.
    Thanks
    Jerry

... it only appears in iTunes as a AAC music files no images appear.
Enhanced podcasts do appear as music files in iTunes. How the images are displayed depends on your iTunes settings. In my settings, for example, the image appears in that little window below the playlists, and if I close that window, I don't see anything at all. Maybe you have done that?

  • Problems Exporting for Podcast Use

I've been doing some podcasting using iMovie HD and iWeb. some of them have been going fine. however, i've had a few where the video freezes (after export) but the audio keeps going. no matter how many times i export it or try different formats, they always freeze in the exact same place. can somebody help explain this to me and how i can fix it?

I have the same problem. The podcast created from iMovie freezes like 20 seconds into the run and the audio keeps going.

  • Export so podcast will play on CD or be in WAV format

I am doing recordings on a tascam portable digital recorder in WAV format, and then editing in the podcast part of GarageBand. However, once I have the editing completed, I need to export the project so it remains in WAV format and so that it will play as "music" on a regular CD player, once I burn it to CD. Currently, I export it, it goes to iTunes, and becomes an Mp3 or M4a. I need this to play with the best possible quality on a regular CD player. How do I do this? What am I doing wrong? HELP please!

GB does not export WAVs (though you could convert to one, it's not needed because...)
and so that it will play as "music" on a regular CD player
regular CD players do not play WAV files, they play AIFFs, which are created automatically when you burn an audio CD from either within GB, or from iTunes

uncheck the Compress checkBox when sharing

  • FCP Export for Podcast...

Hi, our church podcasts our weekly services and I am using FCP 5.1.1 to create the podcast video. I am getting great results in exporting the video/audio to quicktime. I am using h.264 formatted to 320 x 240 with AAC audio. When the export is finished, it plays VERY well within iTunes and through browsers after being uploaded with iWeb. HOWEVER, it won't copy or play on the video iPod. I end up using Viddyup to convert to ipod format.
Can anyone suggest some settings that I might be able to use to get the export to work on my iPod directly from FCP without having to export a second time from another application?
    Thanks!

  • Novice with GarageBand: Can I export completed podcast as m4a file?

    Hello
    Can you help me?
I thought I could create a .m4A file from GarageBand, but I can't find a way to do that.
Is it possible? How do I do that? I'm on a MacBook, OS X 10.7.5 and GarageBand 6.0.5
Many thanks for looking and hopefully being able to answer this question.
    Jennie

First of all, GarageBand is an amzing tool to record/prepare your enhanced podcast with all the artwork, chapters, etc.
You export your finished podcast the same way you would export a song.
You do that in from the Share Menu. Be careful, because the menu items are dynamic, whihc mean they change depending what is currently selected in your Project. Make sure you have the Podcast Track visible. This changes the "Send Song to iTunes..." to "Send Podcast to iTunes..."
On the next page, select Compress using AAC. That creates an .m4a file during the export.
    Hope that helps

  • How to export my podcast subscriptions

    Hi,
I would like to copy a list of all my subscribed podcasts from my old computer to a new one. Is it possible to do this in iTunes, I wouldn't like to subscribe all podcasts again on the new computer?
    Tare

    Hi Tare,
here is the information I posted in a previous thread, works fine for me - and should be no problem at all doing it just one time, like in your case.
    === Quote following ===
Firstly, I would also like to have a "profile backup" option, or at least let me specify a folder for these files. (like it can be done for the iTunes Music Folder)
    My little workaround:
The files you are looking for reside in your "My Documents" folder in your windows user directory. Look for "My Music" which should contain the iTunes folder. In there are two files:
    iTunes Library.itl (binary - *****)
iTunes Music Library.xml (song file information)
These files are responsible for holding the information on subscriptions.
    I'm a iTunes-only user, no iPod.
What I did to have "my" iTunes from work and from home is this:
*) Use of a USB-HD, where I place my "iTunes Music Folder", to have all files just in one place.
*) Wrote a little script which copies the two mentioned files from my user directory folder to the USB-HD and vice-versa. This script resides on the computer from which I start iTunes, to copy the files to the right directory.
If you just want to have your subscriptions available from multiple places (and no song files), a USB stick might do as well. Even for a few song files too, depending on the size of it.
