Exporting ALL playlists at once

Can i do this, or do i have to just export one playlist at a time? thanks...I dont want to export the library however. just the playlists..

Ooops... my bad, did not notice this was the Final Cut Express forum. Anyway, if you upgrade to Final Cut Studio, you could do a batch export in two different ways.
Make 20 different sequences, and put each clip of each speaker in its own seqence. That way, you can do a Batch Export from the File menu in Final Cut Pro.
You could also set up Compressor to use a default preset and destination (can be set in the Compressor Preferences), and then send all those sequences to Compressor and do a batch encoding there. This way you do not freeze up Final Cut, and can continue to do some light weight editing.
Still, you can make 20 sequences in Final Cut Express, and export all those as QuickTime reference files (reference files export faster and requires less space). Then you could use Automator in OS X to do a batch QuickTime export to the format desired (i.e. for iPod).
Good luck!

  • How do I set view options for all playlists at once?

    Hello,
I want to able to set the view options for all my playlists at once (to include BPM, category etc). Currently you can only do this individually for each playlist.
Surely there is an easier way?

    1. Is there a way of selecting multiple playlist in iTunes? And if yes, can I then change the view options for all selected playlists? How does this work?

    1 - No
    2 - Using iTunes, no.
However this script will do what you want .

  • How to export all snapshots at once

    Hi Everybody,
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again. Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
    Cheers
    Luke

You can have a separate virtual copy representing the same edits, that you currently have stored in each snapshot. That makes new thumbnails that are capable of showing side-by-side at the same time. You can export those as if they were independent photos, in a batch (even though they all refer to the same single file on disk for their original picture data). You can further edit them too, which is a LOT easier than recalling, editing and re-saving a snapshot while also preserving other edits that have not been saved into a snapshot.
To get to that point: you can recall a snapshot, make a virtual copy, recall a different snapshot, make a virtual copy, and so on - then roll back your History to recall the latest editing you had done before that. By default virtual copies are "stacked" with the original version so as to group them together.
The only caveat is that snapshots are accessible to ACR independently (if you write your LR changes to disk), if you open the image directly into Photoshop outside LR - while virtual copies are not visible outside LR. But personally, I see little point in doing that when you can open images with your very latest edits directly into PS as needed, from inside LR, regardless whether those edits belong to a virtual copy or not.
You can think of virtual copies as parallel options for the image, and of snapshots as serial ones.

  • Export all logs into ascii files

    Hi,
is there a way to automatically export all logs created with SignalExpress (I use the 2009 edition) automatically to ascii files, taking the names of each log as a base for the file name?
I am aware of the export to LVM/Ascii possibility, but this requires to manually edit the file name for each file.
So what I am looking for would be a way to apply the Options->Logging->"Automatically export log to text file" _afterwards_. Is there a way?
    Cheers,
    Niels

    Hi Nils,
There is currently no utility or simple mechanism built into SignalExpress that will take an already created log, and then export it to ASCII.
I can think of a way to do it, as a "workaround" to say the least (assuming Time Waveform or Scalar logs).
    1. Create a new SignalExpress project.
    2. Import the logs you want to export to ASCII.
    3. Go to Tools >> Options... and in the Logging section, set Automatically export log to text file = Yes.
    4. Switch to Playback mode and select the first log.
    5. Drop a Formula step and leave the default values (with Formula Y=x0)
    6. Rename the output of the formula step as desired.
    7. Right-click on the output of the formula step and select "Enable Recording".
    8. Run the project.
From this point out, running the project will create a new (duplicate) log, and inside the new log folder will also be the exported ASCII file. By changing the active log, you can export each log.
Note 1: I did try using the Batch Process Log feature to export all logs at once, but SignalExpress returned an error after the first log...
Note 2: I'm not sure the names will be generated exactly as you would have liked.
I completely realize this is NOT ideal!

  • When I export a playlist and then open in excel, do whatever sorting I want, I then save the file and reimport into itunes but not all the songs are there. It appears to be from "comma's" in the song name. Any solutions?

I see songs such as "Monday, Monday" or "Paint It, Black" or even the artist name such as "Fireballs, with Jimmy Gilmer" which have comma's in them, being a problem when I try to do the following:
    1. Export a playlist which contains songs which are all there and play fine, but some have comma's in the title such as listed above.
    2. I then open that file in Excel and bring it in as a Tab-delimited file.  Everything lays out fine, and all the songs are thing (including those with comma's).
    3. I then sort the varoius fields I want (which I can't do in i-tunes because i-tunes won't sort it properly), and resave the file as a newly named file, which is also a .txt file.
    4. I then import that playlist into my itunes. It is exactly the same songs that I just had exported but i-tunes says some of the songs can't be found.
I have traced this problem to comma's in the file name of the song such as listed above.  There must be a solution to this either as the file is opened in excel or in how it's saved or some other solution short of having to rename song/artists without using comma's.
    Thanks.

The additional problem is the file name of the song itself.  Even if I were able to delete the commas or replace with a space for example, changing the file name would result in itunes not being able to find the file.  I would have to go through each file (out of about 15,000+ songs) to find any that have titles such as described in this thread and change not only the song and artist in the fields, but changing the mp3 file itself.
I fear that I am really pretty much going to have to start with a list of songs that have no comma and then do a file compare to find those songs with commas and then just physically moving them into a new playlist I'm trying to create, but this is a royal pain as I want to be able to create a variety of playlists based on these chart dates/peak positions.
I'm trying to sort the songs in this manner:  I use different fields in itunes so that I can put the "peak position" of each song based on Billboard charts, as well as the date the peak position was acheived. I use the "comment box" for that.  I use the "grouping" field for my peak position.
So I end up with something like "10/14/1980" in the comment box as the peak position for a song which is in the grouping field, and so forth.  If I try to sort the comments column in itunes for example, it won't sort properly. If I sort the Grouping field, it will bring up all the "1's", but that's followed by "10", 11, ...19, then "2", etc.  This is why I want to export the playlist and sort it as I want, and then reimport the playlist into itunes.
What I'm ultimately trying to achieve is a year-by-year peak position playlist so that I end up with every #1 song (in this case) from, say, January 1st 1980 and then every #1 song in sequential order for the rest of the year falls in line.  I have chart position dates from 1955 through 1999.  I have entered in all the data from Billboard books I own so I can really create some amazing playlists, but these commas are problematic. Had I known this ahead of time I would have made "Monday, Monday" as "Monday Monday" and not included commas, but it's too late for that.
    Any suggestions?

  • How to turn on / off live updating for all smart playlists at once?

Hello.  Is there a way to turn live updating on or off for all my smart playlists at once?  That would be a fantastic feature since too many smart playlists with live updating turned on brings iTunes to a crawl.
Currently, I run iTunes on Windows 7.  I have over 40,000 songs, and I have hundreds of smart playlists to help organize all my songs and what's on my various iPods at any time.  The problem with having so many smart playlists is that iTunes runs very slow.  One thing that I do to make iTunes run slightly faster is to turn off live updating for as many smart playlists as I can stand (by going into each one and editing), but then it's hard to tell which have live updating turned on and which don't.  As a result, many of my smart playlists don't get updated when I would like them to because I have to go in and manually edit each one again to turn it back on.  Maybe showing which have live updating turned on or off would be useful, too?
On a related note, my iPod Classic will actually not work when I sync too many smart playlists.  This has been a long-standing problem with iPods, and I'm surprised that it hasn't been fixed yet.  I have not experimented to see if it makes any difference if the smart playlists have live updating turned on or off.
    Thanks.

this is exactly what i was hoping to see -- but i can't get it to run right on iTunes 12, yosemite
it also doesn't seem to recognize "Home Videos" or "Audiobooks" as special and tries to turn them off -- i modified the earlier script to add those two to the lists of exclusions, but still get the same error message on the first "unspecial/real" smart playlist -- hasn't somethign changed in the object model perhaps?
    thank you muchly!

  • Export all user security profiles at once

Is there a way to export all of the e-sourcing user profiles at once?
    Thanks for your help,
    Jerry

You posted here with Firefox 9.0.1, is that the version you are using on that test PC? <br />If so, update to Firefox 10.0.1 and see the new ''(as of 10.0)'' first start after a program update routine. Mozilla changed the add-on compatibility check that kicks in when the Firefox version number has changed. It's probably going to make your issue worse, time wise, after a Firefox program update.
As far as updating all the Profiles at the same time, '''LastVersion''' data is kept in the '''compatibility.ini''' file in each Profile - ''LastVersion=10.0.1_20120208060813/20120208060813'' - Firefox checks that file each time the Profile is used. When the version number currently being launched doesn't match the saved pref, it triggers the "updated" routine (but it works for the version used being older or newer than the pref).
The only thing I can think of is to run a '''batch''' file to update the '''LastVersion''' value change in all the Profiles that weren't used for receiving the Firefox update, to match the new LastVersion.

Why would you think this?  That's an ignorant assumption to make.
Your media is only where you put it.
Either move it from the old computer or restore it from the backup of the old computer.

  • Exporting all tracks individually at once

I have a project to do in pro tools but I"m using a lot of soundtrack pro effects so I figure I can do it in soundtrack pro, export all the individual files I use, and import them into pro tools. Every time I export it exports all the tracks into a single mix. How can I export each file so I can have all the individual files to work with in pro tools?

is there a way to export the files I"ve edited in soundtrack pro indivisually? It exports the whole audio file when I use the selected option. for example if the sound effect I used was 10 sec, and I cut it down to 5 sec, it exports the whole 10 secs when I export using selected all

Make a smart playlist of your whole library but only checked songs - #4 on  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1801
Highlight all files in that playlist, then drag to the other drive.  This isn't preserving any playlists or whatever, just copying files from one drive to another.
You might want to delete the smart playlist this once you are done because it will probably gobble up resources with that many files.

  • I am reformatting and rebuilding my Win 7 computer.  How do I export all the settings from iTunes so I can import them into my new install?

I need to rebuild my computer which has iTunes synced with my iPhone and iPad.  How do I export all the settings from iTunes so I can import them into the new install and not have to go through all the setup again?  My music library is my own and on a NAS drive so not going to lose it.  I am mainly concerned about setup parameters.  Thank you for any assistance.

    There's nothing to export.
The iTunesLibrary.itl file contains all the settings, playlists, and playcounts.
Copy or backup all your important files including the ENTIRE iTunes folder, then restore all your data including the ENTIRE iTunes folder once the system is formatted and rebuilt/reloaded.

  • How do I export all the tracks from a certain portion of a session?

To be more specific, I have a session that is 30 minutes long. I want to export all of the tracks between minutes 2 and 3. The audio files need to be the same length, so my mixer can synch them, so any empty space at the beginning or end needs to be silence in the AIF or WAV file.
I'd prefer to be able to do them all at once, but would settle for doing them one at a time. Right now, can't do either...
    Thanks for any help.

Activate cycle mode, adjust cycle area as needed and export tracks as audio files, no?
    http://help.apple.com/logicpro/mac/10/#lgcp8e5ce2d3
Or cut globally at position 2min and 3min, then mute manually regions before and after the 2 - 3 minute range, bounce and get rid of the not needed silence in the audio.
    Cheers!

  • Export all tables' name under user by informatica

    Hi,
I have a requirement about informatica mapping,
we want to user one mapping to export all tables' name under user,
    like sql :
    SELECT t.OWNER || '.' || t.TABLE_NAME ||
    FROM all_tables t
    WHERE t.OWNER = 'BIEBS';
    How to realize it?
    Thank you!

Get the table all_table in source analyzer save it. While building the map choose this as ur source, modify source qualifier as select table_name,table_name from all_tables where table_name='BIEBS'.
Once u have this, use an expression transformation to build ur expression and load it into a flat file.
Please mark this answered or helpful if it solves your purpose.

  • How to export all edited photos in a project

Once I finish editing photos in a project I often wish to export all of those photos, in their fnal edited form, to a folder which I then burn to a CD and give to someone.  I have been using File-Export-Versions thinking that this would do the trick.  However, it seems that this process exports the photo without all of my nifty editing.  I've looke at the manual, but must be too dense to find the answer.  Thanks for any help you can give.

What you are doing should work.
Here is a recipe -- try it and report back.
    Select the Project.
    Clear all filters.
Filter using the Rule "Adjustments" with the setting "are applied".
Add other Rules as desired (e.g.: Rating is 4★ or better).
    Select all Images.
"File→Export→Version", and choose an Export Preset that meets your needs.
Masters are the un-changed (and never changed by Aperture) original files that you imported.  Versions are Images that you have made by changing these in some way.  Exporting a Version should always include any Adjustments present in the Version.
