Exporting and Importing Stills

I have a 30 second piece of video that I'd like to:
(1) Export every frame of the video in sequence
(2) Run each still through a batch process in Photoshop
(3) Reconstruct the video from the stills
I'm a Photoshop user and am really just shopping around for a way to apply a set of custom Photoshop filters to a video. It's a "talking head" shot so there isn't much movement, which I understand can be a significant quality issue with exporting stills.

Select your sequence.
Go To:
File>Export>Using Quictime Conversion
In the dialog...at the bottom... for Format... Choose "Image Sequence"
Click "Options"
Choose your image file type, I recommend Targa "TGA", Millions of Colors.
When your done in PS you can re-import the files as a sequence.
Have fun with your 900 TGAs
P.S. I'm wasn't aware that I was in the the FCEx board. I was thinking I was dealing with FCPHD. I think it'll still work though.

I am using Iphoto 11 ver 9.4.3 on mac using oxs 10.8.5 i want to export calendar projects to an external hard drive. my goal is to store them in an external hard drive so it doesn't use up memory on the mac hard drive. is it possible to copy the specific projects without copying the entire library? what is the easiest way to do this? i have tried export and import but it didn't seem to work.

    What do you not understand?
You can duplicate the iPhoto library (command - D ) and delete everything except the project and its photos from the copy and move that
    Or
However the calendar takes very little space - it is simpy database entries - it is the photos in the calendar that take space - and for most people you would wnat to keep those photos in your library
you can use a photo in 50 calendars and it still is only one photo in your library - as I explained calenders do not exist as such - they are simply database entries telling iPhotop how to display the calendar - they take almost no space at all

  • Exporting and importing applications/workspaces

I am currently on a testing workspace and want to put the application/workspace to another workspace. I know the export and import commands but my concern is the application import. The application is linked to a sample table caled "Samp" and now I would need to link it to a table called "test". This table is almost eactly the same as "Samp" witht he exeption of 2 or 3 new columns. I am wondering what I need to do to change the link to the new table and whether the application will still work.
    Thanks

    "419008",
In cases like this, where I know the table name is going to be different across HTML DB instances, what I usually do is create a view on top of the table, and then build my HTML DB applications against the view. Then, assuming the definition of the tables are the same, it should work without further modification.
So in your testing workspace you could have:
create view foo as select * from Samp
and in your other workspace you could have:
create view foo as select * from test

  • Exporting and importing just table definitions

    Hi,
I have this production database that has a huge amount of data in it. I was asked to set up a test database based on the exact same schema as the live database. When I tried to do an export (from live) and import (to test), with the parameters rows=N and compress=y, the target (test database) data file will still grow enormously, presumably because of the huge number of extents already allocated to the table in the live database. My test database of course, has a limited hard-disk space.
Is there a way to export and import the table definitions without having the target database experiencing a huge growth in the size of the tablespace?
    Thanks,
    Chris.

If an export with compress=n is still creating initial extents that a too large, you can still build with the import file but it will take a little work.
    run imp with indexfile=somefile.sql
when imp is finished, edit somefile.sql by:
    1. remove all the REM statements.
    2. remove all the storage clauses (tables and indexes)
Make sure your tablespaces have a small (say 1k) default initial extent.
    run imp again with rows=n
All your tables and indexes will be created with the default tablespace initial extent.

  • Is it possible to replace masters with versions without going through the process of exporting and importing?

Is it possible to overwrite the master files with the versions without having to go through the entire process of exporting and importing back the images?
    Thnx in advance

A small refinement if you shoot RAW. Remember, no RAW file can ever be edited or rewritten. Thus, in the old days, the flow was:
RAW>TIFF/PSD and you ended up with two large files. (This is why some folks used to delete the RAW Masters.)
With Aperture the flow is something like:
RAW+Version(s) Only the Version is only 30 KB. (There is, of course, additional overhead of Thumbs and Previews, but, depending on your settings, this is only a fraction of the size of a TIFF or PSD.)
You question goes right to the heart of the concept of a non-destructive workflow. With Aperture you always preserve your original Master file; the only things that are ever at risk are your edits (called Adjustments). Ironically, this is even more valuable if you shoot JPEG or TIFF as those files could be rewritten.)
Aperture goes to great lengths to give you the best of both worlds; you always have the Master to revert to and your "edits" take up very little disk space. And you don't have to waste time trying to sync folders of RAW, TIFF, and JPEG. Similarly, you never have to worry about resizing images, changing color spaces, or any number of other things that get locked into an image file when you use a destructive workflow.
Remember, Aperture will happily Export files in any format you may need. Export 'em, use 'em, delete 'em - your Masters are still safe in Aperture.

  • Export and Import of table

    Dears,
I need to export two tables from PRD and import to QAS.
Size of table is 1 GB and 3 GB.
    Please confirm:
1--Do i need any downtime for export and import of table
2- How much time will it take in this export process.
    Please suggest.
    Shivam

I cannot tell you how much time it will take. are you still using Pentium 3 processors? are you on 4 quad-core CPU? are you on IDE disk? SATA disks? on a fast and big powerful SAN?
This being said, I would say roughly 10 minutes. but as you understand, this is just a wild guess.
for downtime, you did not tell us the table names. This being said, try to export on a low usage period.

  • Export And Import Agreements in B2B 11g (After renaming)

    Hi All
I am aware about the process to Export and Import the B2B agreements in Oracle B2B 11g.
But, I want to export an agreement, rename the agreement name, Channel Name, Trading Partner name and re-import in the same instance.
    For e.g.
    If I have an Agreement : BrokerOutbound_AU
    Trading Partner : BrokerAU
    Channel Name : BrokerAU_Outbound
    in my development environment
    then,
I want to export the above agreement and modify it somehow to re-import it as follows :
    Agreement Name : PY_BrokerOutbound_AU
    Trading Partner : PY_BrokerAU
    Channel Name : PY_BrokerAU_Outbound
I tried renaming it in the XML which is exported, but I am not able to import it.
Is there a way I can rename and import it in my same environment. I would appreciate if someone can help me out in achieving the same.
    Thanks in advance

Tables that were created before you changed deferred_segment_creation to FALSE and do not have any rows would still be segment-less tables --- i.e. not exported.
You need to issue an "ALTER TABLE tablename MOVE" for each of such tables (after having set deferred_segment_creation to FALSE) to force a rebuild of these tables with segments before the export.
    Thus, the sequence is
    1. set deferred_segment_creation to FALSE
    2. identify all tables with 0 rows
    3. issue an ALTER TABLE tablename MOVE for each of such tables from step 2
    4. Re-run your export
alternatively use conventional export (exp) instead of datapump export.

  • Could I export and import my oracle database via Stored Procedure???

    Hi all,
I need to export my database using stored procedure, the stored procedure will be called by java application and it works well
Now I still get the "BIG QUESTION", could I export and import database using stored procedure???
    Really thanks for the response.

    Hi,
I think you can use DBMS_DATAPUMP (10.1+), see [DBMS_DATAPUMP|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/d_datpmp.htm#i1007277], for examples see [http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_datapump.html]

  • EDL Exporting and Importing 101 - Questions

We are testing Premiere's EDL exporting and importing capabilities for the first time, and are having issues. We set up a very simple test project with only 13 clips and a timeline with only 10 edits. This is what it looks like:
    http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/760/j00s.jpg
We then exported an EDL, started a new Premiere project, and imported the EDL that we had created. It looks like this:
    http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/32/6hd9.jpg
In the bin, Premiere has now turned our 13 clips into 41. There are a lot of duplicates, some of them appear to be audio files, even though they're still listed as .mxf, and the start and end times are all over the place. Our two questions are: Why is it making all of these clips? And how do you link the media? We started linking some media manually, but because the start and end times are scrambled, the edits appear completely wrong in the sequence that we've created.

There are a variety of options offered when exporting an EDL.
These options need to be considered in conjunction with how the Sequence (audio/video layers) are set up. (managed for the edl export)
Source footage management is vital in any EDL workflow and even more so when digital clip based ( as opposed to tape based linear assets).  ie. Digital clips have "unusual" filenames and are buried deep in folder structures. Filenames can be duplicated in a card to cards system. (mxf would be an exception)
The EDL is usually used between systems.
In your case  you are testing on the same system and assumeably the source footage resides there as well.  This is a case for managing the "source" so as the links work.
Example. When I take footage to a Resolve Suite out of house.  I set up all the source footage on an transfer drive in the same manner ( filenames, folder names etc) as the original local drive .

  • Client Copy- releases of the export and import systems have to be identical

    Hi All
I created a new client using the Remote Client Export \ import method (on the same system). The reason being is that I need a 2nd Test Client on the same system with a smaller data set for other testing purposes. As well as needing to re-import the same Testing Client after a future database restores from a different backup, and still needing the same small data set for testing after the restore whipped it out.
Now that the 2nd Clients data set has been used, I've been asked for a 3rd test client, the same as the 2nd originally was. (No problem I figured) So I created the 3rd Test Client (SCC4) and tried importing the same transport files as created the 2nd Test Client.
But I'm receiving the error message "Releases of the export and import systrems have to be identical".
I am on the same system as the originial client export was made from, so the SAP release is the same.
The only other thing I can think of is that we have imported some customizing transports from the Dev system into the original system since the export was taken.
Can anyone help? Is there anyway I can get this back?
    Ken

Solution found: Note 1291394 - ERROR : TA194 When performing multiple imports in the same client.
I've imported the note, run the report as per instructions and I can happily say the Import is now running. Although it does seem to be taking a lot longer than it did for the original import.

  • Howto Export and Import CAF project

    Hi,
Is there a way to export and import my CAF projects to more than one installations of NWDS? I've tried different ways but the main problem is that I can't see the "imported" projects in the Composite Application Explorer of the CAF perspective in NWDS.
The only way I've managed to do this is to create a new CAF project with the same name as the one I want to import and copy all files into the newly created structure but surely there must be an easier way to do this, or??
    Best regards,
    Mikael

    Does this solution still apply?
I want to export a CAF project from NWDS 7.10 and import it into NWDS 7.20.
If there are any breaking API-changes, this is no problem as I can fix it later.
However I need to transport all BO and Service-Definitions and the (possibly outdated/deprecated) code.
I cant get it working with your linked document.
    Any hint appreciated. Thanks alot!

  • Exporting and Importing Virtual servers with Windows 2012 R2 Hyper V

    Hi
We are looking for various options / best practice in exporting and importing VSs between Windows 2012 R2 servers. Live migration we tested between servers in same VLAN and it's fine, but some servers are in different VLAN and hardware firewall is there
in between. So we exported the VS and while importing it, there is no option to export each Virtual disk to separate partitions / LUNs. Is it fine to create a new VS in the new server and just copy the VDs from the other HV host server, or exporting and importing
    is the only proper method?
    Thanks in advance
    LMS

    Hi Laljeev,
Please allow me to state my understanding of the two methods :
1.when you want to copy vhd you may need to shutdown the VM , further more if there is some snapshots I think it will be a  trouble .
    2.  "export" you still need to shutdown VM but it doesn't have the trouble with snapshots .
The other way I will use is , "move"  all of the VM's data to external disk then import it into destination hyper-v server (it can decrease the off-line time of VMs).

  • Question regarding export and import of Hyperion Security during upgrade

    Hi Guys,
We are upgrading Essbase, Integration Services from 7x to 9x which are utilizing Hyperion Hub and we are going to follow the method of uninstalling 7x and reinstalling 9x components.
Now my question is, what is the best way of transferring security from 7x to 9x. I heard that Advanced Security Manager can be used to export and import back security. Or is there any
    other way of doing it??
Can someone please enlighten me on this.
    Thanks in advance

First let me say that any software that comes without a save button should be sold with a warning label.
    Why?
Question 1:  I have having an issue comprehending how to save a photo.  In my case  I select the photo, zoom in on the subject, export it to my desktop. The pciture on my desktop does not incorporate the change. Am I missing a step? What do I need to do to export it with this change? I actually watched a You Tube video on this and could not see what i was not doing.
You must have selected the wrong option in the Export dialog box. Under "File Settings", you need to select JPG and not "Original". Of course, you probably need to do some additional viewing of videos (or some reading) to learn that most people's workflow does not automatically include a "Save" or "Export" after editing the photo. It's not a necessary part of Lightroom's workflow, unless you need the photo for some non-Lightroom activity.
Question 2: I just installed Lightroom and am trying to import my 12k strong photo collection. The Import button pulls in about 2k and then cannot find anymore. The photos are stored in folders by date within a master folder. I am selecting the master folder. I can go in and import the sub-fodler individually. However i do not want to do that 200 times. There is no apparent way to go into the subfolder level and select more than one folder.
In the Import dialog box, on the left, under "Source", there is a checkbox that says "Include SubFolders". Make sure this is checked.
Seriously, you need to spend some time reading introductory material about LR because Lightroom does not work like any other photographic software you might have used in the past. You are handling it as if it was no different than standard photo editing software, and you are going to be frustrated if that is your mindset. • SQL Developer 2.1: Problem exporting and importing unit tests

    Hi,
I have created several unit tests on functions that are within packages. I wanted to export these from one unit test repository into another repository on a different database. The export and import work fine, but when running the tests on the imported version, there are lots of ORA-06550 errors. When debugging this, the function name is missing in the call, i.e. it is attempting <SCHEMA>.<PACKAGE> (parameters) instead of <SCHEMA>.<PACKAGE>.<FUNCTION> (parameters).
Looking in the unit test repository itself, it appears that the OBJECT_CALL column in the UT_TEST table is null - if I populate this with the name of the function, then everything works fine. Therefore, this seems to be a bug with export and import, and it is not including this in the XML. The same problem happens whether I export a single unit test or a suite of tests. Can you please confirm whether this is a bug or whether I am doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Pierre.

    Hi Pierre,
Thanks for pointing this out. Unfortunately, it is a bug on our side and you have found the (ugly) "work-around".
