EXPORTING APPLICATION HTMLDB 1.6

I have a litle application developed in ,40 days work, in a HTMLDB 1.6.
When I was trying to export the application to make a backup security it give me the error ORA-08182 it say then it cannot export in FLASHBACK MODE.
Then I look in the forum and read that there is a bug with that version (HTMLDB 1.6) that cannot export with flashback on.
Ok, I tryed to put FLASHBACK off (with ALTER DATABASE FLASHBACK OFF) and sqlplus give me ORA-38759 (I try find it in ORACLE ERRś BOOK and I dont find it, and I have look for hard) the database must to be mounted in EXCLUSIVE MODE and not open.
My question : How can I export that application ? or I loose my work?
what users from the database I must to export to import the application in another server?
What is the way to recover my work?

FDM - Scripting for exporting application

Can you please advise if it is possible to write a script to automate the FDM export (Application export, this would be for the locations, users, maps etc...)

I have not seen any scripts be used to automate this process. Keep in mind that an application extract can only be loaded into a fresh FDM application, it cannot be used to merge metadata between two FDM applications. I don't really see much of a purpose to automate this process, it is something that normally should be done manually.

Exporting application finished with error (when deploying)

When deploying HFM application from EPMA, I get this error from job "Exporting Application ...":
Process Name : dimension_server
Thread : 10
Server : HYPSRV
Detail : An error was encountered while executing the Application Export: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
In Event Viewer, there are two errors from HyS9BPMA_DimensionServer:
1. [ApplicationExportJob] ERROR Object reference not set to an instance of an object.Exception: System.NullReferenceException
Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Source: dimension_server
2. There are no results available for job Exporting application htcapp. because an error was encountered while processing the job. See the Job Console or the Event Viewer for more information.Exception:
Because of that, deployment still finish with status "Aborted".
Does anybody know, why is that?

Export Application and Static Files

Using Apex 3.2, I use the Export Application utility to move apps from one Environment to another.
In one of the Apps I have a Static file which is only for that specific App, It doesn't seem the import the static file for me.
I have to load thru shared components again in the other the environment.
I'm I missing a step with regards to static files or do I really need to do both steps?

I can't tell for sure, but - when I tried to include "static files" (such as images?) into my export script (APEXExport, right?), I couldn't find a way to do that. Therefore, speaking from my own experience, that stupid way you described is the only way I know.
It would be nice if someone knows better; at least two of us would benefit from it.

WORKSPACE export not exporting Applications?

When I export my workspace from the admin it doesn't export the applications.
It only exports the following:
-- Company, user group and user export
Any suggestions?

Kyle - Exporting a workspace exports the workspace definition, user groups, and user accounts. The Users Guide explains how to export applications but I'm sure you've done that before.

Please register for a "real" user account rather than the anonymous user7266483.
You can not change it on the export...this is simply set to whatever is in effect in the DB.
However, it is totally unnecessary to change it on export. If the database into which you need to import the exported application is "ISO-8859-1 - Europa Ocidental", at the time you begin to import, it will default to "ISO-8859-1 - Europa Ocidental". You need to change this to the character set under which it was exported. In this case, it was "Unicode UTF-8".
It does not matter that you export and import in the same character set. It only matters that you correctly set the import to match how it was exported.

I have read the link and I have talked with our DBA. He says taht we are working with a 9.2 (9.2.0.7 exactly) version. In this version he believes taht the only way to use the flashback query feature was through the use of the utility package DBMS_FLASHBACK. Therefore, the sentence ALTER database flashback that would work on a 10g version off does'nt have sense on 9.2.
Anyone knows how to avoid the flashback error in a 9.2 environment?

Constant Contact + Address Book Exporter application

Since installing Snow Leopard and Quickbooks 2010 (and turning back on Sync in QB) my Address Book Exporter application will not export names and email addresses without all having errors. Can no longer import them. Any suggestions and thank you.

Be sure you are looking in the right place:
/Home/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/. It's a folder, not a file, and it's located in your Home folder's Library.

Oracle Apex export application getting access denied when trying to download

DB: 11.2.0.3
Apex: 4.2.2.00.11
Apex Listener: 2.0.3.221.10.13
WLS: 10.3.6.0
Chrome: Version 29.0.1547.76 m
and IE 10.0.9200.16660
I'm the admin of the workspace that has one application. Made a change to the application and went to export the application so I can source control it.
Followed the Export wizard while in the application, hit the Export/Import button and clicked Export. Changed the File Format to "Database", Export Supporting Object Definitions to "No" and left everything else as default. Clicked the Export Application button and get "Application 108 exported" success maessage. Navigate to the Manage Export Repository and I see the exported application labled "f108.sql and I click on it and I get "Access Denied".
Whats the trick? What am I missing?
If I change File Format to "Unix" or "DOS" the file automatically downloads.

The bug description mentions ORA-06502, but get_file has a when others exception handler that simply returns "Access Denied".
What do you folks think?

Export Application Without HTMLDB running

Hi,
I posted message about my HTMLDB is not running anymore. I was wondering If I there is a way to export the application eventhough I cannot run htmldb anymore. I like to import the application into my apex.oracle.com account.

I used SQL Developer but I could not get the extra node. The documentation says
"Further expanding this node will display a list of all the applications owned by that schema."
It sounds that I need to connect using the schema that owns the application. Is the schema that owns the application is the schema that I used when I created the application. I did connect using the schema that I used when I created the application but I still cannot see that extra node. Any help will be appreciated.

Header and Footer in PDF is lost when exporting application

When generating an export script to migrate an application, headers and footer you include in your report definition are lost, that contents are not included in the script.
Any workaround?

Error exporting application into a ear file

I'm developing an application with the Sun One 5 IDE,and Application server 8, i'm making CMP entity bean, when i try to export to an ear file an error occur
Validation failed for entities.CMPAdministradorBean. Verify that all fields are mapped.
CMP Mapping Error in bean CMPAdministrador:: Warning: The bean pcImpl0.moduleComp0.entities.CMPAdministrador is not mapped.
Set the primary table for the bean.
No jndi-name defined for the cmp-resource element of this module.
Select the SunONE tab for the ejb module and configure the CMP Resource property.
and they can't make the ear
somebody can help me with this.

Figured it out, found similar post that stated changing the HEAP size
Increase the page size in odiparams.bat in the bin folder and restart Designer.
For eg:
set ODI_INIT_HEAP=128m
set ODI_MAX_HEAP=1024m

If you haven't already contacted your DBA about this, you really should.
If you are the DBA, then you should be taking a look at your memory parameters to see if they're suitable for your situation. If you're unsure then either seek the assitance of another DBA or file a support request with Oracle.

How to export application version??

Hello all
Environment: NW 5.1 SP7, ZFD3.2 SP2
I need to do a data export of the following info:
Export fields: Asset.Tag, OS, Application name and Application version.
Basically I am querying for an application name and I want the
workstation Asset Tag, the workstation OS and application version of a
specific application to be exported.
My query is set to match "Application X%". However when the query runs -
it returns a list of all workstations with Application X - which is
correct, but it also returns the Application Version number of every
other application on the workstation that has "Application X" installed.
All that I would like to export is the Application Version number
for "Application X".
I have tried many types of queries and have not had any luck. Please
assist.

Export Application with Images in sigle file

Hi all,
i want to migrate my application from one database to other,
My application have few Workspace images associated with it,
I used the Export option in the Application Builder but only the Application got exported not the assosiated images.
Is there a way to Export the application as well as the Images in a single export file.

Hi,
I think you have to look at the Supporting Objects section in the users guide.
In the Supporting Objects section in APEX you can create scripts to export shared components.
