Exporting changes in IR and ID from DEV to QA

i have the following questions in XI Tranports.
1). If i changed my mappings in IR, how to export these changes from DEV to QA ?
2). If i changed configuration in ID , how to reflect these changes from DEV to QA ?
3). What configuration i need to do in R/3 QA (like port, sm59 or partner profiles) ?

Hi,
U can export the changes either using File transport method or using CMS transport method.
Two types of transport mechanism are used in PI.
     File transport method.
     CMS transport method.

How do we transport questions and questionnaires from dev to QAS or to PRD. Do you type all them again or there is process no. What is best process others do

As you must be aware, Questionnaires are updated from a Recruiter start page in the front end which cannot be saved in a change request.
At least Iu2019m not aware of any other way to move the Questionnaire details across clients.
I know that it is quite a bit of a task to repeat the activity of maintaining questions and response in questionnaire/s across clients, particularly When you have to maintain big questionnaires (with lots of questions & multiple responses).But As it is , Process templates, Questionnaires have been considered as a recruiters day-to-day administration task in SAP which has to be done from the front end even in live environment

In the printer driver (accessed through the Page Setup button) set the Advanced tab to borderless. Then in the right hand panel under Layout set all the margins to zero.

How to move PI objects in IR and ID from DEV to QAS

Hi experts,
         I am new to PI and with lot of research and help from you all experts I could successfully create a scenario from XML to CSV conversion. I created message interface, interface mapping objects etc.. in "Integration Repository" and conficguration scenario, sender and receiver communication channels etc. in "Integration directory". Everything is working fine in DEV and now I want to move all these to QAS. I went through some documents on SDN and it was talking about XI track and CTS and I am so new to all these, I am not sure how to get started. Could someone please let me know the procedure of moving PI objects from DEV to QAS?

There are two ways to transport ID and IR Object to transport .
1. CTS + : Totally automated Way .,
2. .tpz : Manual Lagacy Import / Import way .
Now . Steps .are :
There are two types of transport mechanisms in XI/PI.
1.      File Transport System.
Files are imported and exported into SAP XI OS Level for Development and Quality Server,
This Process is risky as there is no automated system and there is no track record of imported or Exported Files,
as in this syetem exported files are transported to QA System from DEV System.
file Extension in file transport System : - .tpz
2.     Through CTMS(Change Transport Managment System).
GUI Based tool, Installed on SAP XI BOX, This system provides the automated transport system , which keep tracks of transported Objects and Failed objects.
There are initial level efforts to set up transport system.
Transport Procedure for Various System :-
DESIGN OBJECTS ---> (ENTERPRISE SERVICE REPSITORY OBJECTS) -
> INTEGRATION BUILDER.
Step -I
1. Select NameSpace to trasport.
2. Right Click on NameSpace to Transport.
3. Select Export Option.
4. Check or Select the Software Component Version.
5. Check the Mode of transport.
CTS MOde:-
5.1     Select a required type of Object Set:
     IN OUR CASE: ALL OBJECT OF INDIVIDUAL NAMESPACE.
5.2        Select Transort request.
5.3      Finish the Process.
TRANSPORT USING FILE SYSTEM:-
5.1     Select a required type of Object Set:
     IN OUR CASE: ALL OBJECT OF INDIVIDUAL NAMESPACE.
5.2      Finish the Process.
Step II
1. GO TO TOOLS OPTION IN MENU BAR
2. OPEN CTS TRANSPORT ORGANIZER
3. Select the request to Release.

Thanks for the response. My project is 1280x720 29.97 fps. Here's a shot of the corduroy. The first time I exported using the "export" choice. I rebooted and exported again choosing "master" file. The settings were the same on both- 1280x720, 29.97, H.264. The corduroy went away the second time. The masks are still off. I'm using them throughout my project. They are closer to center on both of the quicktime movie outputs than on my screen in the project. I could send pics.

Dynamically change Database, Server and Command From VB6

I have a crystal report which connects to an iSeries box via an OLE DB datasource, however i need to have this same report conect to two different iSeries, with the tables for the sql (command) located in two different libraries.
Is it possible to change the command in vb (as well as the connection etc) so i can change the box and library t execute the sql against at run time ?

From VB 6 you can change the report's datasource. Depending on the version of Crystal you are using, you may be able to change the SQL but if the data is the same on all the iSeries boxes then you shouldn't have to.
Again, the way to do this will depend on the version of Crystal you are using and the method you are using to call the reports.
Basically, there is a property in the reporting object that will allow you to logon to the database. This would give you the same functionality as if you were in the Report Designer and went to Database | Set Database Location.
Without knowing the version of Crystal and the method for calling the report, it's a bit difficult to get into specifics.

Get Info on your drive from the Finder - you'll see a dialog box like this:
If the Privilege is set to Read Only for the user, simply click on the "Read Only" and change it to "Read & Write".

Hi Davis,
Before transporting transformation make sure either of source or target should availble in target system.
suppose you have a transformation between Data source and Data Target, first transport Data source, then transport Transformation along with data target.
Before tansporting Transformation either source or target should be avaialble in QA system..then only transportation will happen smoothly..

There is a method to export installed scripts, plugins (e.g. Red Giant Trapcode Particular) and preferences (e.g. workspace) from After Effects CC to After Effects CC 2014?

Scripts can be in any folder so you can just create an alias or simply copy and paste them to a new folder.
Animation presets for 3Rd party effects and Plug-ins installed by installers like Red Giant should be re-installed and CC 14 selected from the list. The updated Red Giant installer will do this and you should do it that way because some compatibility problems were fixed in the latest builds from Red Giant and other 3rd party manufacturers. Other plug-ins may be copied and pasted or an alias used to bring them over. Preferences migrated from previous versions in the Preferences > General page at the bottom of the screen.

If you mean that you are trying to change the Apple ID used for purchasing apps, go to Settings>Store, tap the Apple ID at the bottom, sign out, then sign back in using the ID you want to use.

I have transport Infoset and Query from DEV to QAS

Dear Expert,
I have created an Infoset and Query. My Infoset and My Query have been copied to Query Global Areas and have been transport to QAS server. (I have created Request Transport, the number request is generated by system in DEV)
But when I look with tcode SQ01 and SQ02 in QAS, there are none of my infoset or query appeared.
Please, what should I do?

Check wether yr request transported correctly since these type of requests generally locked..
After removing lock only we can transport these..
Check in quality..
Tcode.. STMS
Check here for yr request wether transported or not..

How to change OLAP connection when going from dev to testing

Hi!
We created some BEX reports, a Dashboard and a some Webi reports using OLAP connections.
We created the OLAP connections with the IDT (Information Design Tool), and then publish them.
In the OLAP connections we used my user because we didn't have a specific user for connections.
Now they're going to create a user for the connections.
My questions is:
1. where do we change the OLAP connection? do we do it in the IDT and re-publish them or in the CMC --> OLAP Connections tab ??
2. are both ways correct?

Can I export both the Video and Audio from Soundtrack Pro? or just audio?

I opened a video in STP and added some effects to the audio. But I do not see any video export options??? Can I only export the audio??? How do I add the New audio to the final video???

Thanks for that Soundaround. I tried to use the encoder option as well, down to an .mp4 file, but the video did not play properly. The source material is HD 1080i .mov and the frame rate was default, set to 100% of original.
Do you know Why this is? I also tried the same conversion in cocktail and got the same results. Can I only compress down to an HD .mp4? I want to retain normal sync and smooth playback?
