Exporting charts?

Has anyone figured out a way to export a chart as a .jpg? I tried to export as a PDF and then save the PDF as a jpg but I can't get the background cell lines not to show - so those end up getting in the way.

Hello
Assuming that Graphic Converter was delivered with your machine.
Select the chart in Numbers.
cmd + C to copy it into the clipboard.
Open Graphic Converter
File > New > from the clipboard
then Save as a JPG file.

    Help me in this regard.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Hema,
You can Export a chart from VC. Try the below steps.
    1. Create a Tool bar for the particular chart.
    2. Create a new button and change it action as 'System Action' and then 'Export Data' and also select 'Entire row' or 'Entire Screen' as you like.
    3. Now deploy the application and Click the Button in the chart and it will copy the requirement then you can paste it in another application like ms word or ms excell or ms paint.
    Hope it helps...

  • Export charts

    Hi,
Is there a way to export charts with Design Studio? We can export to excel, but it is only crosstabs.
Any idea how we can export charts?
    Sonni

    Hi Sonni,
At present, there is no way to export either a chart itself, or the data linked to a chart with Design Studio. However, if you mean that you want the data within a chart exported into an excel file there is a workaround - you will be able to assign the data source used by a chart to a crosstab, set the visibility of that crosstab to false (in case you do not want the crosstab itself displayed on your application), and still be able to export the data using APPLICATION.export().
    Hope this helps.

  • Access denied error while exporting chart to excel

I need to export data from a gridview to chart in excel. Through system account credentials it works fine. But through a user's credentials its giving an access denied error. The gridview data is exported properly but the current chart which is displayed
on page is not getting displayed in excel.
So is there any other way to achieve this?
I was thinking og saving it to virtual folder in the Site but I cannot figure out the exact code for it. Since file upload control is not involved, how to save the chart to the virtual folder. Any inputs on this?

Would you mind if you use "runwithelevatedprivileges" in your code to execute code with admin privilege?

  • There's no proper way to export charts to PDF in numbers 3

In Numbers 09, there're at least two ways.
    1. copy the chart and paste to preview with `New from clipboard`, although this has some bugs on the chart format
    2. Copy to pages, export as RTFD, and extract the pdf in the package.
However, when upgraded to the new iWork,
these two ways are ruled out.
    1. Seems preview doesn't recognize the new format of the iwork content, so `New from clipboard` results in a blurry image instead of a vectorgraph like pdf.
    2. The exporting to RTFD functionality has been removed.
I don't understand why apple is doing this, and I wonder is there any proper way to export to a high-resolution PDF from the charts?

Print the page/sheet and select "Print PDF to Preview" instead of actually printing.
In Preview, use the rectangular selection tool to select the chart
    Copy
    New from Clipboard
That will create a PDF vector image of the chart. It is a few more steps than in Numbers '09 but it does give you all the pieces of the chart (unlike Numbers '09),

  • Exporting Charts as images

    Hello everyone,
I have a little script that generates a GUI with text reports, but also some charts for things like free/used HDD space.
Is there a way to export these charts to a .jpg file so that I can include them in a HTML report?
The only thing I found on the net was a Module called PowerBoots which seems like it was able to do this. But its no longer available.
    Any ideas?

    Hi there,
Try SaveImage Method on your chart object: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd456181.aspx

  • Web Analysis - Exporting Chart to Excel

    Hello
When I try to export a Chart from Web Analysis to MS Excel using Fully Formated option, it doesnot export the chart as it is. It converts it into spreadsheet and I can only see spreadsheet in the excel sheet. Is it how the export to excel suppose to work?
I want the graph in the excel sheet.
    Regards
    Abhi

    Hi Mehmet,
Firstly, thanks for taking the time out to reply.
I followed the steps given in the link you posted.
When I edit permission for the folder containing the reports, it does not reflect in Web Analysis in any way.
For example: I assigned 'No Access' to a user to the entire folder, but yet the user is able to see the folder and the reports contained in it.
    Kindly help me with this.
As for the 2nd issue, it has been sorted out and I can now export to Excel successfully :)
    Cheers,
    Sahil

  • How to export chart for publication?

How to export a chart created in Numbers for publication (either as TIFF or JPEG or PDF)?
    Thanks

Thank you for the response. In the meantime, I figured out the following. There is no way to just export the chart itself without exporting the whole spreadsheet including the chart.
These are the steps I took to generate the chart in different formats.
    1. I first changed the View in Numbers to 'Layout'
    2. Moved the graph so that it was situated completely within a page all by itself.
    3. Exported the file as PDF.
    4. Opened file in Preview
    5. Used 'Rectangle' selection tool
    6. Used the tool to select the Chart/Graph
    7. Chose copy from Edit Menu
    8. Created new preview document by selecting 'New from Clipboard' under File menu
    9. Next chose Export
    10. Chose format for Export (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, etc) and Resolution requested by publisher of Journal.
    11. Saved!
    Cheers

  • Exporting charts (chart and data behind it)

    Hi there,
Im new to Flex and Air but I have come here because Im looking into a way to export a chart from an application we have to excel. At the moment we are able to export the data behind the chart but not the chart itself.
I have come to two ways of doing this:
    a) keep the existing export options and then use a VBA macro lib to create charts or (and this is where you come in)
    b) export a excel 2007 xmlx file.
if you are not familiar with this its a new format of excel that is defined by XML script that are in a variaty of folders that are then zipped.
My idea is to have a standard 'template' that Flex (Air?) can ammend the chart.xml in the xmlx and the sheet1.xmlx and the zip and rename the file.
So what i need to figure out is if and how to get Flex (Air?) to export a zip file
    any help would be great!
    Thanks
    Michael

There are various ways to export the chart as an image.

  • Export to xml does not export chart information

We use Crystal Reports XI to print our water utility bills.  We have contracted with a vendor to create ebills for us.  They have indicated a preference for xml as the data format they'll use to recreate a pdf image of the bill.  When I select to export as xml, the resulting file has no reference to the bar graph that's included in our bill.  My question is: how can we create a xml file that has a reference to the bar graph in question?

    Hi Diane,
    Not through the designer.
Also you can upgrade to CR XI R2 ( version 11.5 ) for free. Make sure you have your keycode saved.
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011802732008E/crxir2_sp4_full_build.exe
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100013876392008E/crxir2win_sp5.exe
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100015859952009E/crxir2win_sp6.exe
If you upgrade to CR 2008 there is a new feature you can enable to export the charts, it's not available in XI or XI R2 though.
    Thank you

  • Export charts in flex

    Hi,
How to export column and bar chart data into csv file in flex.

If you are using custom fusion chart then see the link
Else if you are using flex charts itself try this.
    Hope that helps you.

  • Exporting charts is terrible

It's absurd that you can't export a set of charts (in a variety of formats). It should be as simple as selecting a set, choosing the type and saving. As it is (so far as I know), the best thing is to put them in their own sheet, and then save a PDF from that. But once they're taken into something else (Adobe Illustrator) you can see that they were not plotted well in the first. The spacing between gridlines is not consistent. The spacing between bars is not consistent, and they are not aligned properly (bc the only way to align things in the original Numbers is by eye). I find these and other issues annoying enough, and essentially forcing a huge amount of work to sort them out, that I'll attempt to not use Numbers at all for plotting. I'll just take the data into Matlab and do it, which is far from perfect, but at least doesn't make these mistakes.

    JH,
It appears that you may not have yet discovered the User Guide, available for download from the Help Menu, or the Metrics Inspector, the Rulers, the Alignment Guides, or the Align Actions.
But even if you have, I must wonder why you would consider using this $20 program when you have access to a program like MATLAB costing 100 times as much, plus maintenance fees.
Further, Apple doesn't listen here; just us volunteer helpers.
    Yours is a curious rant.
    Jerry
