Exporting File Lists from an Album

Hi there. I just got 350+ proofs from our wedding, and we imported them into iPhoto 6 to help sort and cull to find the top 150 or so for further analysis. I created a Smart Album that holds all the ones with 3 or more stars.
I need to get the list of these photos back to the photographer so they can work on their digital album. I don't need to send them the photos, as they have masters of course...just want to send the list of photos (and ideally the star count, if I could make that happen). Trouble is, I can't find a way to export just the list of files in that Smart Album (or any album, for that matter).
I tried creating a Photocast so they could look at the file names online and get them, but that seems cumbersome. I could shrink down the thumbnails in the Viewer window so the filenames are visible in full and then send them screenshots, but that just seems dumb. As a last resort, I suppose I could just export them all as real small jpegs and burn them to DVD and give them that, but again, waste of time, effort and a blank DVD.
If anybody knows of a way to extract the filenames that make up an album, please help! Thanks very much.

Oddly, Apple seem to have missed that one, so here's a slightly unglamorous workaround.
1. You have the pics you want in a Smart Album, yes? Export that Smart Album to a folder on the Desktop.
2. Download PrintWindow
http://searchwaresolutions.com/products/printwindow/
it's a freeware. Use it to print the contents of the folder on the desktop.
Afterwards, you can trash the folder on the desktop as it contains only copies.

Export file list from collection/subfolder in collection window

i would find it very helpful to be able to export the file names of files contained in one a collection as a .txt or similar list. there are scripts and complicated things to do this out of folders, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this with collections.
i might for example have a project, that includes a collection of images and renaming files differently for final output. while i'm working on the project im fine with having the collection in the collection tab. but when i'm done, i want to get rid of it, since i don't want the collection tab clogged with old collections from finished projects. but with the finished project in my archive (images renamed for output) i still want a list with the original filenames - otherwise it will be hard to find the original in the future. at the moment i am attaching screenshots of the collection before i delete it, but that only really works up to about 100 images. and of course the screenshot is not searchable.
or a client organises image selection in a collection and has to send me the files list. at the moment they have to type it all up.
this feature shouldn't be hard to program i guess, but would make things a lot easier.
also the possibility to organise the collections in subfolders (in the collections tab) would be great.

Ordinary Collections are just text files and can be found:-
Mac: Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections
Win 7: Users/[Username]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections

I have 750 proof from my wedding photographer. I loaded it in iphoto 11. I selected 150 from that and put it in an album. I would now like to send the 150 filenames to the photographer. In 2006 it seems that iphoto wasnt able to do this. Is there any new function or work around I can use in iphoto 11. I just need a list of the filenames of the photos in a perticular album.

No - by default the title is the file name so a contact sheet showing the titles would do that along with thumbnails of the photos

That's an excellent analogy. While FCP cannot export FLV. It is possible to do a very simple substitution. If you export a QuickTime movie using the .mov suffix with the H.264 codec, you can change it to FLV simply by changing the suffix to .flv. This is an acceptable format for Flash movies on most web sites, if that's where you're trying to go.

Web Matrix FTP Remote Connection Error - "Connection Error - Failure to get file list from server. An entry with the same key already exists."

I cannot access the root directory of the ftp file server using Web Matrix 3. The site is .php based, and
is accessible when connecting with FileZilla or Remote Connecting via FTP with Visual Studio.
All sites have been deleted from Web Matrix, the user Application Data has been cleared and Web Matrix has been reinstalled.
Issue Persists....

Turns out that the program leaves metadata in your app data folder that is not removed upon uninstallation of the software.
This is incorporated to communicate with a file that uploaded into the ftp directory when publishing pages.

did not work?Generally we'll need a bit more info than "it didn't work", was there an ora-X error message? What was the error?
Assuming you're on *nix a 'C:\<folder name>\...' directory spec just plain won't work, the directory has to point to a valid storage location on the database server host.
Try a host command (at the database server) and make sure the .xml file name and location is valid, in sqlplus a "bang" (exclamation) runs a host command, i.e.:
SQL> !ls -l /xdb/faq/testdata
... usr grp ... 2003.xml
...But if you are on windows, its the `host` command:
SQL> host dir c:\drag_list\modified
mm/dd/yyyy ... 2011.xml
... The create directory ... as ... must point to a valid storage location for it to work, at least that is step one.

Is there any way to collect the file list from UTL_FILE_DIR.

I expect the use "Oracle supplied package UTL_FILE" to import our customer order shipments to table by XML format files. I already did the procedure to import one XML file into Table by DBMS_XMLSave.insertXML and UTL_FILE. GET_LINE. And it did work.
My question is :
Is there any way to collect the file list from UTL_FILE_DIR. (I put all import XML files into `/usr/tmp?, I want to get all file names from this folder and feed them into UTL_FILE.FOPEN.)

UTL_FILE_DIR is a very dangerous and deprecated parameter. Oracle very specifically recommends not using it. You should be using directory objects instead.
As for doing a directory listing, you can use Java stored proc. External procs/functions are not required.
The following sample shows how to use such a Java stored proc to insert the result of a directory listing into a session temporary table:

Class to Get File List from Application Server

Hi all
I've to obtain the file list of a directory from application server, I can use a FM too but It's possible the lenght of file name is upper then 40 characters so I can't use FM EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING.

Try using the function RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL. Here is an example program using this function.

Sure, if they are not protected WMP files.
Drag the audio files from the folder to the Library in the Source list
or choose File > "Add File to Library" and select the song file or folder.

Get file list from URL/web directory

Hey guys,
I have created a script for After Effects that can download multiple images from URLs that are given in an array. Now ideally what I want, is to get all the filenames of the files in a certain browsable web directory to be put in an array.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Does someone have the knowledge here to help me out?

This is more difficult to do than it seems. Since the files are on a remote web server, you need to find some way to get the server to divulge its local file structure, which is not something most servers will do. The absolute best way is to have control over the web server and run some server-side code (PHP, node.js, whatever) to generate the file list on the server side and then fetch it with your client/extension/script. Other than that it's almost impossible to get a 3rd party server to divulge its file structure as far as I know, mainly for security reasons. So the #1 question is: do you have control over the server/website that you're trying to fetch from or not?

Exported file differs from that created in workspace

Hi,
I have created a 5 minute movie which is bookended by two different After Effects animations.
When I preview the movie in CS4, and even in Media Encoder, it plays perfectly. However, the exported file (I have tried WMV and AVI) puts the introductory After Effects animation at the end of the movie as well, in place of the one which it is supposed to end with!
I basically have my introcuctory animation both at the beginning and at the end, despite the fact that it doesn't appear this way in After Effects, Premiere CS4 or Media Encoder.
Any clues?!

Be careful anytime using Regedit and editing the Registry...
If you are using Windows this method should work-

Type in regedit... click run - click ok when admin. dialog opens>

IMP-00010: not a valid export file (downward from 10.2.0.1 to 8.1.7.0)

We have requirement to transfer User's all tables from 10.2.0.1 database to 8.1.7.0 database
I have successfully exported user along with all tables and its data from the 10.2.0.1 database,
now when i am doing import into 8.1.7.0, i am getting the following error :
IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
when i searched the internet, in the one blog it mentions as below :
Oracle's exp/imp utilities are not downward compatible.
you must use 9.02.1 exp to extract from instance 9.02.03 and then you are able to imp into 9.02.1
so as per above, i will have to use 8.1.7.0 exp to extract from instance 10.2.0.1 database.
So, how it can be done ?????

I'm pretty sure that anything after Oracle8 should work. As long as you are using the right version of 'exp'.

How to print export packing list from invoice transaction(VF03)

       In my case my export invoice and packing list both are same the only difference is in paking list i dont have total coloumn
       so i plan to change invoice form to packing list,

Instead of this you copy the same form and change as per packing list and give the user another output type for Packing list.
and say that if u choose one u will get invoice and if he chooses the other he will get Packing list
