Exporting files out of LR3?

Has anyone had problems exporting files out of LR3? This was very simple in LR2. I receive orders via email, print them out, and then pull up the selected images 1 or 3 or 50 @ a time. LR3 is not exporting over 1 or 2 images and then it freezes up.

Reinstallation will not do anything except aggravate you.
Try:
1. Run Lr from a new user account.
2. Try not exporting to the external drive if you are. If you catalogue or photos are on the external drive, see if you can create a new catalogue containing this photos (import from the other catalogue) and try exporting from that one.
3. If it freezes get the Sample output from the process via Activity Monitor. If it crashes collect the crash log out of your Library.

How can I export images out of LR3.5 and have the file numbers watermarked on them?

Ladies & Gents,
I'm trying to export a large number of images out of LR3.5 and want to show a unique reference number on each one as a watermark, so that customers can easily state which photo they're interested in. I can't find anything on the export settings of the software with the exception of copyright symbols etc, but this just puts the same watermark on each photo and I want to number them individually and make it easy for the customer to identify an image.
I'm guessing there will be a 'plug in' to do this and I don't mind paying for it, I would just rather do everything in LR and not have to then use a second piece of software and re-export all the images for a second time.
One last thing..... I'm thinking of upgrading to LR4 in the near future and so I would like to be able to use any suggestions on that platform as well (if possible)

Export file out of sync

Exported mov file is out of sync after about 2 minutes into a 4 minute clip.
Using FCXP 10.0.5
Exporting using h.264
Using one audio clip in a multi cam edit
Audio - stereo
Sample rate is 48kHZ
Video - 1080P 29.7p video
Using high quality original/optimized in preferences.
I've tried Pro Res HQ but still no luck.

Unknown error making the ibooks export file

Hi,
Have done it hundred times already but for some reason now I get "a unknown error" in the proces of making the .ibooks export file out of the .iba.
Does somebody have a clue what first things first I have to check? Put already some back-ups back but also the same problem.
working on Mountain Lion 10.8 OSX, ibooks author 1.1 (190). Dutch versions.
Book counts 225 pages (@astro_andre), IBA file is 1,16 Gb, ibooks file appr. 750 Mb

Solved. There was an error somewhere in the book. Chapterheading and text frame overlapped.

File out node settings

I use shake and I have trouble with the final image quality. After I export it to quicktime movie I can see that the picture is not clear and there is a lot of noise.
So I would like to ask you about the best way to export (file out node) my project. Is quick time good enough for that? Is there another renderer for shake that reaches great quality?

ctually the problem I have is the quality of the final video, I dont care about the format type I just care about the "great possible quality" So I was wondering if there is a separate compressor that I can render my video so I can reach "movie quality"to understand better my problem I ll give you a simple example:
I exported a single shot from final cut pro to uncompressed quicktime format. Then I imported this shot in Shake. After that I put a person as a chroma key layer with my first video. It looks good in shake , almost perfect but when I render it quicktime uncompressed I see that shity noise!!! What am I doing wrong?

Export raw file out of lightroom

Is there a way to export a raw file out of LR if who want to work on
in other app? I wanted to use DoX on some I-Stock photos and wanted just
to export.

This sounds like you are trying to replicate an Aperture function - exporting the raw files to get them out of its dungeon or vault.
You might not need to export the raw files in LR. If you drag to the Mac Desktop, you are duplicating the raw file, which may well be what you want to achieve. Alternatively why not just Cmd-R to show them in Finder and then edit them in DoX (what?). The other alternative is to do your LR adjustments and then use export to generate TIF or JPG files for further editing. But without knowing what DoX is, it's hard to say what the right way may be.

Exporting raw files out of Aperture

How does one go about getting the raw files back out of aperture? I know that when opening the external editor it opens up in Tiff or PDS. I want to get my original Raw file out to being working with out the processing of the raw file in Aperture. Can any one help me?

Option 1. File>Export>Export Master... (also available by Right-clicking/Control-clicking on the selected thumbnails or by pressing Command-Shift-S)
Option 2. File>Relocate Master... and start storing the images as referenced files outside the Library.
Option 3. Use the search box in the top right of the forum pages...

Does anyone have experience sorting out the issue of no thumbnails in finder/preview after exporting files as dng out of lightroom?
There are several conversations in the forum about this problem, but cant seem to find a solution.

Mac does support previewing dngs in finder and preview. This has not been a problem before (besides when using my fujufilm compact camera, which mac now has updated the Apple camera for).
To answer your Q about dng files. Thats exactly what i do. I have work which involves communicating/transfering multiple lr -edited files to someone else whom further edits in ps. Not only that, I personally use dng as a way of storing my files. I suppose like to keep my files tidy and uniform.
Any mac users out there who has a a solution to my issue with previewing dngs?

Exported AIFF file out of sync

I have a 1080i HDTV sequence in FCP 6.0.6, 48KHz 16 bit audio. Video clips are from a Canon 5DMk II transcoded to ProRes HQ via Streamclip. I was going to do a little audio cleanup using Bias Peak, so I exported an AIFF file of the completed sequence from FCP. Something is goofing up the exported file's rate as it is now running slightly longer than the original. As a test, I exported the audio from 1 clip and immediately imported it back into FCP, placing the test audio in the sequence under the original audio, then listened to the mix. As soon you hit play, you can hear the audio going out of phase with itself. Checking the sequence properties, I have 30fps/48Khz/32 bit floating point. Video Clip properties 30fps/48Khz/16 bit integer. Audio clip properties 48Khz/16 bit integer. AIFF created by: File>Export>Audio to AIFF{s}. What do you think?

Ran the clips through MPEG Streamclip again at 29.97fps and created a new Project with matching Sequence Settings. Exported AIFF matches original audio perfectly. We are now A-OK.

Import QTVR Files into Corel Painter 11 and export back out to QTVR?

I received a QTVR File and imported it successfully to corel painter 11 to paint some changes into the frames and I then wanted to export the frames (512 total) back to the QTVR format. Corl painter 11 allowed me to export files as QT, but I did lose the QTVR movie controller. When I tried to go to movie properties in QT pro Version 7 it does not allow me to change the movie properties back to QTVR movie controller. Anyone have any suggestions? I do need to be able to paint in the frames in a digital paint program and then export back out.

Yes, Go to File --> Export --> Export Report --> Under Format select TEXT & select the destination as "Disk file"(defaultly selected)
Give the proper details as per your requirement for "Characters per inch" & "Number of lines per page" & click on 'OK"
In "Choose Export file" window, select the destination folder & provide file name. click on "SAVE"

Extract tablespace definitions out of export file

i am running on 9.2 and have an full export file created.
Now I am interested only in tablespace definitions.
When I use the parafile like:
file=/XXX.dmp
show=Y
full=Y
log=creates.sql
I get all the creates (tables, indexes, procedures...)
Is there any way to avoid it?

use indexfile=d:\filename with your normal import command. With this file you will find all the commands that oracle will execute on the database while doing the import. this do not do actual import or out will be stored in indexfile.
You can use show=y and check the statments in importlog.

You might post this query on the iPhoto forum and perhaps someone there can provide an answer.
I tried this on my MBP and it seems that you have to restore the entire iPhoto Library. What I did was put the current library in a separate folder on the desktop and then I restored the library from a prior date. If you were to do that, you then could extract the desired photos and then delete the restored library. Then place the current library back to the original location and import the desired photos.
Not tidy but it seems it will work.
