Exporting from LR4 to Flickr with keywords?

How do I automatically export keywords with LR4 photos to Flickr?

Keywords will automatically export as tags to Flickr provided you havent set the Metadata section in the Publishing manager to Copyright or Copyright & Contact Info only.
Select All from the Metadata section.
To change existing settings:
From the Publish Services Panel click the + symbol and choose Edit Settings for your Flickr Publish stream. Scroll down to the Metadat section and make the change.

  • When Exporting from LR4 to CS5, Image is Changed

When I export my images from LR4 to CS5 using the Edit In... choice, I first get the ...may require the...Camera Raw plug-in version 7.0... which we all know doesn't exist. Not that that isn't annoying enough (I know - I can turn off the warning) but the image then presented in PS5 is not of the same quality as the one I am exporting from LR4. It's almost as if the Lightroom adjustments are not carried through. I have tried all three color space options to no avail. Also, I am not being presented with the dialog asking if I want to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments. These are Nikon RAW files (.nef) that I am working with. Other images that are not RAW files do display the Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 dialog. What am I missing here?

There are other threads addressing this issue, but install ACR 6.7, which is available in release candidate on labs.adobe.com and you should get the same results from both apps.

  • Exporting From FCE to IDVD With Chapters How long

Exporting From FCE to IDVD With Chapters How long will the DVD hold??? if i have an hour and 40 minutes of HD footage all cut together with FCE and has been saved as a movie file, how many hours will IDVD let me burn to it?
if i run over the allowed amount will it say i need to drop quality, i am editing loads at the moment and dont want to get to the end and it come up with an error message. also will idvd include the chapter markers if i export with them?

    Sure, no problem.
    1. Go to Project > Project Info in iDVD.
    2. Make sure "DVD Type" is set to a single-layer DVD.
    3. Under "Encoding," choose "Best Performance." Is the arrow solidly in the green portion of the quality bar? If so, go ahead and burn your disc.
    4. If not, choose "High Quality." Again, go ahead and burn your disc if the arrow is solidly in the green.
    3. If the arrow still isn't in the green, select Professional Quality. If the arrow's in the green, burn your disc. If not, you'll have to delete some of the menus (scene selection, etc.) or menu content and check again. You should be able to burn up to 2 hours if you don't have a lot of other menu content.

  • Exporting from FCP for use with PC

    Hey all,
Trying to deliver a high-med quality 8 minute video from FCP for use with a PC. I've tried exporting both a .mov and .avi using DVCPro50, but neither are readable through the PC. Best I can get is sometimes audio will show up. Does anyone have a good solution for exporting from FCP for use with a PC?
    Thanks again for your help!

I don't think DVCpro50 codec is available on a PC. I think panasonic has a special license with apple only, so you need to try a different codec for the avi.

  • Unable to Export from LR4

Lion 10.7.4 MacPro  -  I cannot export from Lightroom 4 in my main Admin account. Lightroom gives me an error message - Spent much time with Adobe and it was suggested that it was an Apple issue. Apple tech doesn't think so. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    JT

Not sure if this will help your situation, but I just had the same problem and tracked it to a weird issue with Lr not giving me ownership or write permission on this folder or its contents:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/
Once I changed the owner to me and gave myself read/write access this this folder and its contents, I was able to export.
The backstory as to (I think) why this happened is in my post in this thread.

  • Is it possible to share multiple photos from iPhoto to flickr with embedded title, description and tags for each photo?

I use iPhoto to share my photos to different sites like facebook and flickr ... with facebook it's easy since the pics don't need much details ... however, I have some trouble with Flickr, since I need to add description, titles and tags for each picture ... is there a way to do so ?!

Titles and descriptions are not embedded into a photo until it is exported out of iPhoto with the following settings:
So if Facebook can read those values in an image file you'll need to export as shown above and upload to FB from outside of iPhoto or import back into iPhoto and sync the new files to FB.

  • DNG files exported from LR4 not showing changes made when opened in PSE10?

I have LR4, and once I make some develop changes I've been exporting the files I want to use as DNG.  I then open them in PSE10 to make final edits.  It's been working fine, actually I had an older version of Adobe Raw in my PSE on my other computer.  So when I opened in PSE it would ask if I wanted to conver to compatible version to edit in camera raw.  I always said no b/c I didn't need to do anymore raw edits.  Now that I have installed PSE on my new computer, it has the new ACR version I guess.  When I open the DNGs to edit now I no longer get this error message, but it's showing my contrast, etc. as a standard raw setting instead of the changes I made in LR.  Some are showing....like vibrance, but "recovery" which I know is "highlights" in LR, and other things are not showing correctly.  I know that the options are different, but I don't want to use the ACR settings that it's using when I open the file, or have to go through them again.  I'm sure there's something I'm missing but can't figure it out.  Thanks for any help!

I quite simply did not comment on the issue of "it is supposed to be better to keep DNG files as opposed to NEF files now, right?"
The issue you raised in your original post, and the issue of choosing DNG versus NEF, are completely separate and independent.
The issue of transferring photos to PSE would cause the exact same problems in your case whether or not you use DNG or NEF.
On the issue of converting photos from NEF to DNG, there are advantages and disadvantages, some people do and some people don't. If you'd like to know more, I suggest you search this forum, there are plenty of discussions on this topic.

  • I am having trouble exporting from LR4. After I have developed the photo in LR and export the image, then when I open it in Photoshop, it does not retain any of the developing I just did in LR.

When I export my image and open in Photoshop CS5, none of the developing I have just done in LR4
is in the file. It is basically exporting a raw image with no developing.

    Exporting is the wrong procedure.
In Lightroom, right-click on the photo and select Edit In

  • Best Quality Exporting From HDV to DVD with Dan's method

    Hi
I have few questions on Dan's method.
here is my workflow according to Dan's method:
On the Premiere CS4 end of things:
    Download these Adobe Media Encoder CS4 presets for 100Mbps MPEG-2 I-frame 4:2:2
Export your 19220x1080 60i timeline using the corresponding preset from the ones above; this will create a (very large) .m2v file and .wav file
Now some freeware tools to get the conversion done properly:
Download and install the Lagarith lossless codec
    Download and install VirtualDub
    Download and install AviSynth
Download and install my hd2sd() conversion package for AviSynth (instructions for installation are in the .zip file)
Create a new blank text document in notepad, like such, and save this file as premiere.avs, and save it to the same folder as your .m2v and .wav file (edit the video and audio parameters to match your filenames). This is your "script" file for AviSynth:
    video = "myfile.m2v"
    audio = "myfile.wav"
    FFMpegSource(video)
    (audio == "") ? last : AudioDub(WavSource(audio))
    hd2sd(OutputColorSpace="YUY2", OutputBFF=true)
    Run VirtualDub
Open your premiere.avs file in VirtualDub
In VirtualDub, go to Video : Compression and select the Lagarith lossless codec
Also set VirtualDub to use Video : Fast recompress mode
    Save your output to lagarith.avi
Import lagarith.avi into Encore for transcoding and authoring
Actually, I am trying to edit my mts files(1920x1080 60i) but it is running too slow on my computer if I edit those mts files directly in premiere. Therefore, I converted those mts files to m2v and wav. Should I try edit those m2v files in premiere and export the whole DVD version to m2v again. Then, use the DVD m2v file to convert that to avi file by using the VirtualDub ?
However, I tried to edit the m2v and wav files in premiere and send it to encore with the mpeg2 blu-ray with 1920x1080i 29.97 High Quality. It then burned it on the DVD. It turned out the same as the VirtualDub version. I think it is less time spending compare to VirtualDub. Let me know if I am wrong.
Another thing that I tried was using the lagarith.avi file but it is 720 x 480 then I imported to the premiere and edited it. My project's setting was  AVCHD 1080i30 which my video camcorder setting is. After I edited my project in premiere, I sent it to the encore to burn on the dvd by setting to the mpeg2DVD option. However, I played it on my hd dvd player and the output was pretty small.
My goal is to use premiere to edit the files and use encore to add some features such as title pages or buttons. Then, burn it on the DVD with the HD quality.
Please help ! thank you very much guys !

    Hello,
Couple of questions on the below:
    1) Does this work for converting .MTS files?
    2) If so, I download the Encoder presets, but where do I place them? (I didn't see any .epr files in the root of /encoder

  • Aliasing font/titles upon export from FCP and projecting with NTSC system

My opening credits are in geneva, size 25pt. I have a transparent background so I can super them into Final Cut Pro. In FCP some of them are over images, some are not (opening credits for example. They import fine, I've rendered FCP, exported it into mp4, then into a DVD program. Upon watching in a large room, the smaller fonts (especially) waver, have rainbows, and are not stable. I hear this is called aliasing? How to prevent? Should I put the titled over slug in FCP? Should I have 10% opacity on my background? Add a shadow? Recently I've tried grey font instead of white...no luck. On an NTSC monitor, I get the same thing. Thanks for help on this one. Jen Mac

You can try a few things.
Use the 3-way color corrector in FCP to bring the white levels under 90%.
If all your text is on the same horizontal plane make sure it's on an even number
Add a .25 blur to the graphics
    use the de-interlace filter

  • Exporting with Keywords

I scanned a bunch of documents and put them into iPhoto and meticulously tagged them.
Now I've decided I'd rather have them as PDFs so I can run OCR on them)
I do not want to lose my keywords.
I can export the images from iPhoto and preserve the keywords
the problem is... whether I use Acrobat Pro or Preview, there's no way to convert the JPGs to PDF and keep that embedded metadata.
How can I export from iPhoto and get my keywords put into the file's spotlight comments?
    Some way with Automator?

Unfortunately PDF do not contain IPTC metadata fields and so cannot maintain your keywords. You can ask in the Automator or Applescript forum if anyone has a way of getting the iPhoto keywords into the Spotlight field for a file.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Aspect ratio issues in iDVD with mov files exported from FCE

Please help. I believe this is an iDVD bug. I have found some relevant discussion of it on online forums - but have not found a solution that works for me. I am looking for a workaround.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1356500&tstart=31
    PROBLEM STATEMENT:
My 4:3 movies, exported from FCE in QT-with-conversion formats (any 4:3 format) - appear in iDVD with gray side-pillars (as expected for 4:3) AND with a black line (letter-boxing) at top and bottom - as would be for 16:9. It appears the aspect ratio is also distorted i.e. 16:9. (The iDVD project is set to 4:3.)
1- A 4:3 mov file exported from FCE using Quicktime Movie format (no conversion) does not have the problem, but I cannot de-interlace the video using this export mode.
    2) A 4:3 mov file exported using QT-with-conversion mode (any 4:3 format) DOES have the problem. I need to use this mode in order to get de-interlace.
(Exception: 640x480 VGA mode does not have the black lines, and it displays correctly in dvd player on my computer screen - but on the TV screen, it crops content from the top and bottom of the movie, so this is not an option.)
    3) In Finder, if you click on mov file exported QT-only (no conversion), it opens in the FCE viewer. If you click on mov file exported in any other 4:3 mode, it opens in Quicktime viewer (i.e. there is absolutely something different in the header/ID of these files.)
    4) All mov files, regardless of export mode, show correctly in Quicktime viewer - no black line, no distortion. The problem does not occur outside of iDvd.
    5) I tried passing the QT-with-conversion mov files through an Inverse-Anamorphicizer (per suggestion on forum - this apparently fixed the problem for some people) but the resulting output mov (i.e. the inverted product) still had the same problem.
I am, so far, left with this trade-off: Give up the de-interlacing, or live with the letter-boxing/ distortion. Neither is acceptable.
I am looking for a workaround:
    1) A way to export de-interlaced 4:3 mov from FCE that shows in correct ratio in iDVD
    2) A way to "convert" / re-head mov file after exported so that it displays corrrectly (inverse-anamorphicize) so that iDVD reads it correctly
    3) Can the mov be de-interlaced after the fact (so I could use QT export without conversion)?
    4) Something besides iDVD to put this together - that doesn't have this problem? (I like and want to use the iDVD menu/theme.)
    5) Other?????
I also notice that all the QT-with-conversion mov files are 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the QT-only mov file, which is valuable and preferable to me. (I don't see any quality difference in the display...)

In the Preview window > top frame > middle button
do you have correct for pixel aspect ratio checked or not?

I have just upgraded from elements 6 and LR3 to Elements 11 and LR4.  I export from LR4 to Elements, adjust the image and 'save' as psd.  In LR3 the saved psd would be visible alongside the original image.  That doesn't happen now....which is a real pain.  What can I do to make it happen, please.

One possibility is that you accidentally opened a new/different catalog.
Look at File->Open Recent and open the catalogs shown there and see if your photos appear
