Exporting from photoshop into premiere elements 8

HI,
I created a slideshow in Photoshop elements and exported it to Premiere elements 8 but none of the blank slides with text came through.  The slides just look black on my sceneline.  I was going to break apart the slideshow for further edits, but I'm wondering why the text doesn't show and what to do.  Thx.

Using iTunes you can convert the audio to MP3, which will work in Premiere Elements.
Unless it's copy protected, as many iTunes songs are. (Which is why I buy my music from Amazon.)
To get around copy protection you need to burn your iTunes songs as a CD and then use Windows Media Player to rip the music back to your hard drive as an MP3.
For best results, in fact, download the free program Audacity and use it to convert the MP3s to WAV files, the ideal audio format for Premiere Elements.
iTunes has been relaxing things a bit lately -- but it used to take a remarkably convoluted system to make their music usable in a video project!

  • Workflow from Photoshop into Premiere

I want to take some still photos from Photoshop and bring them into a Premiere 1920 x 1080 sequence.
My plan is to do some basic color correcting and to then crop the images to 1920 x 1080 and save them as either tiffs or psd files for import into Premiere.
    1. Is there a built in way to go back-and-forth between Photoshop and Premiere?
    2. Which color profile should images be saved with from Photoshop to Premiere?
    3. Is it problematic to bring in lots of images that are much larger than the sequnce settings in Premiere? So as an example, if the settings are 720 x 480 and I import 100 1920 x 1080 images, I'm guessing they will all display correctly in the sequence, though they just add extra file size? OR does it cause problems to bring in larger images than is necessary?
    Thanks.

This is something I do often. I would do your color correction in Photoshop and save as PSD's. I would import in PPRO as native PSD's. The reason I like to do this is because if I want to go back and modify the color it's as simple as doing an "edit original", making your modifications and saving the file and the file will update in PPRO.
Also if you export the photo sizes larger than the frame size of your sequence, it may be handy if you plan to pan, zoom and animate the photos. I personally always tend to bring them in larger than the sequence settings specifically for this reason.
    Hope that helps.

  • Moving a group of files from Organizer into Premiere Elements 10

I've just spent two hours trying (unsuccessfully) to figure out how to use tags in Organizer to select a subset of files in an album and then send those files into Premiere Elements 10.  I don't want them in the timeline, I just want to import only those files with specific tags in Organizer into a new project in Premiere Elements as media to use to create a project in Elements.  I'm willing to save copies of these files into a new folder on my hard drive if that's what it takes, but I can't figure out how to do that either.  Help??

    In Windows do this:
Have PRE open in your blank project with the Media pane displayed.
    Select your clips in Organizer.
Drag the clips over the PRE icon in the taskbar. Do NOT release the mouse button.
After a second or so PRE will display.
Still holding the mouse button move the mouse drag icon over the media panel.
Now release the mouse button and your clips will be in the project media and your timeline will be empty.
    Cheers,

  • How can I import selected photos from iPhoto into Premiere Elements on the Mac?

I run Premiere Elements on a Mac (Lion O/S). I have more than 13,000 photos in iPhoto that I would like to be able to access from Premiere (to include shots relevant to the video I am compiling).  How do I do this?
I also have Photoshop Elements but not yet installed it since I do not want to replicate all these photos - will consume too much hard drive space.
I look forward to your advice.
    Thanks

The way I do this on my iMac : I select the required photos in iPhoto, then I export them on a specific folder I create for the video,
generally a subpart of the area where I have captured my HDV footage with Premiere Elelements.
Then, I import these specific pictures in my Premiere Elements project.
For Photoshop Elements, it has 2 parts : the organizer of your library, which requires to create a copy of your photos, and the modifier
which you can use as a complement to iPhoto only to modify your pictures with  possibilities given by Photoshop.
As I have enough space on external hard drive, I use Photoshop and iPhoto to have permanently a back-up copy of my pictures.
It was my choice related to my configuration.
    Bonne chance.

  • Cannot load media from organizer into premiere elements 9.0

I have spent the majority of the day trying to load media into a new project in premiere elements to edit the video. When I select the video and click edit in premiere elements, premiere opens but no media is available. It never loads the videos. I can review the videos including sound in elements organizer. I have a Canon Vixia HFS10, the file types were loaded directly to the harddrive of the computer as .mts. I have changed the presets for the type and that doesnt seem to help. I have updated premiere 9.0, disabled security, updated windows (vista).
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks,

Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 on Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit?)
Let us try the following before we get into an extensive exchange of problem details.
Your Elements Organizer 9 .mts video that you are trying to import as media into a Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project is only a thumbnail that traces back to the source video which exists saved to a computer hard drive location.
What happens if you open a new project (with project preset set to match the properties of this particular video) and import this .mts video from the hard drive save location into the new project with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1's Get Media/Files and Folders? Does the video import into the project?
As an aside, do you have any other versions of Premiere Elements installed on your computer besides Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1? Also, is this a "it worked before, but now" or "it never worked before" problem?
We will be watching for your follow up results.
    Thank you.

  • Import jpeg from photoshop into premiere pro CS5 and keep exact proportions.

We are trying to insert jpegs into the timeline of a project that was captured DV movie frame 720 x 480.  A graphics person has created jpegs with the frame size of 1440 x 960.  When I import that into Premiere, we have a black space above and below the safe margins when I scale to frame size and am first wondering if that will be ok.  When I change the image size to 720 x 480 and import that and put it in the timeline, the pictures seem to be a little elongated. Can you please tell me how to import the jpegs into premiere and keep the exact proportions for the jpegs?

By changing the pixel aspect ratio to 720 x 534, all works perfectly now.  Thank you for the help.

  • Problems importing desktop captures from Camtasia into Premiere Elements 7

I just bought Camtasia to create high quality desktop captures on my pc.  When I open the saved .avi files in windows movie maker it looks crystal clear, but when I import the file into Pre Elem 7 the video quality is horrible (can't even read teh text).  Can anyone help me fix this problem?
I reset my desktop size from 1200x900 to 1024x768, but it didn't help.
    Thanks

  • Exporting links from Photoshop into a PDF (Rich Content PDF?)

    Hi there,
I built my resume in Photoshop and typically I've been exporting to a PDF and then handling link creation within Adobe Acrobat itself. I'm wondering if there's a way to streamline this process such that links can be created within Photoshop and exported directly into the PDF file. This would save me the hassle of recreating links in Acrobat every time I modified the resume in Photoshop.
I've read about a Rich Content PDF extension/extra that is typically located in the Extras folder. I was able to successfully locate it and have Photoshop use it, but I don't know how to get links to actually be recognized by this plugin. My original hypothesis was to use slices (designating a region as a slice and then assigning it a link), but the Rich Content PDF export option did not recognize links through slices. Is there another way to do this or another way to create links in Photoshop such that it can be exported to a PDF (either through this plugin or otherwise)?
    Thanks!

And what program would you recommend?
In addition, the resume is already created in the program I'm comfortable with - I'm certainly not opposed to picking up a new tool and learning how to use it, but my question specifically was simply asking if there was a way to export links from Photoshop into a PDF as that would be the most time-efficient.

  • Export .wav with markers from Audition into Premiere Pro CS5.5

    Hi,
I need help in getting a multitrack mixdown with markers from Audition into Premiere.
    This is what I have:
An Audition CS5.5 multitrack session with lots of markers
This is what I did to export:
Audition > File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session > .wav & "include markers and other metadata"
When I import that .wav in Premiere Pro there are no markers, neither in the source monitor, nor in the sequence.
When I import it into After Effects, all markers are there. Unfortunately, this does not help me in my editing in Premiere.
Is there any workaround for that? A direkt export from Audition via
Multitrack > Export to Premiere Pro
    did not help either.
There is a thread on this in Soundtbooth (sorry for posting there, too) where it is stated that it should work in Premiere, too:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3908899#3908899
    Please help, regards,
    Andreas

    Hi Tim,
first of all, thank you for your help.
I also just filed a bug report, as you suggested.
Now let me share the results of checking out the workaround that you suggested:
    1. Export to Premiere Pro via "Mulitrack menu > Export to Adobe Premiere Pro"
I had tried that before and found it not working. This was a partial mistake. What I mean by that is, when you do that, the exported .wav files get automatically added to the sequence timeline. And do not show markers. BUT, what I overlooked was, that there is a sequence created alongside which resides in the project panel. This sequence does in fact include the markers, as sequence markers.
Now comes the bitter part: When I delete the automatically added .wav from the timeline and replace it with said sequence, the markers are treated as clip markers. By contrast to After Effects, in Premiere Pro clip markers do not contain any text / names. I.e. all metadata is lost except the mere fact of anonymous markers on the timeline.
    2. Export to Premiere Pro via " File menu > Export > FCP XML Interchange Format"
Same as above. Except, that I had not tried that before. What I had tried before was ...
    3. Export via " File menu > Export > OMF"
Interestingly, this cannot be imported in Premiere Pro at all. Could this be another bug?
    Comment:
I really hope that the markers export/import gets fixed soon.
I also wished, that clip markers in Premiere Pro would be as intelligent as in After Effects (naming, updating, showing their text clearly in the timeline)
I also wished that sequence markers would be as intelligent as comp markers in After Effects in showing their text clearly in the timeline.
... but thats a lot of wishing going on
    Kind regards,
    Andreas

  • When uploading to Facebook how can I remove the "via Photoshop & Adobe Premiere Elements Uploader" ?

    Hi everyone,
I am slowly getting to grips with Premiere Elements12.
When uploading to Facebook how can I remove the "via Photoshop & Adobe Premiere Elements Uploader" ?
I see there was an earlier posting (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3320214#3320214) which was for version 8, and I can understand the issue, but, (assuming its the same issue) has a remove tagline feature been installed??
Is this also the same in the Pro version?
Thanks in advance for any good info

I do not know if Premiere Pro CS6 CC offers an upload to Facebook export. Strictly an Elements Windows person here.
The Premiere Pro Forum is a good place to ask about that.

I do not have any Facebook accounts, so I cannot answer your specific Facebook question, but generalizing I can offer the following suggestions.
If your issue with Publish+Share/Computer/Social websites/Facebook is with tagging, you might want to check the Facebook web site for the Video Manager section of it (or that by some counterpart name). I know that YouTube at the YouTube web site allows the account holder to go into Video Manager and manage his/her tags for the file uploaded there and displaying. Have you been there and done that type of thing for your Facebook upload.
    Please see

Please review and then let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

Add On...As suggested in your inserted link, in Premiere Elements can you export to file saved to computer hard drive and then upload that file from there to Facebook at the Facebook web site without the tagging issue?

  • Editing MP4 files in CS6 then importing into Premiere Elements 13

I would like to import MP4 files from a Phantom Drone into Photoshop CS6 ---Edit those files--Then rather then making the movie in CS6 --import into Premiere Elements 13 to edit and render ..Is it possible to use both program's to enhance the final movie?    Thanks Tom

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running?
If your Photoshop CS6 comes with Bridge, I am wondering if there is a way to go from
CS6 Bridge to Elements Organizer 13. From Elements Organizer 13, you could import from there
into the Premiere Elements 13 Editor.
    Quick results...
Photoshop CS5.1 Extended, File Menu/Export/Render Video
    File Menu/Browse in Bridge
Right click .mp4 export in Bridge, select Open With, select Adobe Premiere Elements 13 which needs to be set as default.
Seems 13 is opening but without the .mp4.
    More later.

  • HOW TO GET ZIP PHOTO Files INTO Premiere elements 12

How do I extract photos from a zip file in order to drag them into premiere elements 12?
Now I keep getting error messages that adobe reader could not open
"for john-zip" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged
[ for example, it was sent as an e-mail attachment & wasnot completlt decoded]

What is the file extension of this zipped folder.....zip or 7-Zip or something else?
If you have a ordinary .zip folder with a .jpeg photo inside it, you should be able to right click the zipped folder, select Extract All from drop down list, and then follow the instructions to get the unzipped folder that you open by double clicking it in order to see and use the photo.
Also, if this photo was edited in Photoshop and has a CMYK color profile, you will not be able to open it in Premiere Elements (any version).
Keep away from the Adobe Reader if all that you have is a zipped folder.
We will be watching for your progress.
    Thanks.
