Exporting from premiere elements 4 to premiere elements 10

I am converting over from premiere elements 4 to premiere elements 10. I Have titles that were created in 4 that I would like to use in elements 10. Is there an easy way to export from one to the other?

Welcome to the forum.
You will want to Export as a Template, into the folder of your choice. That will yield a .PRTL file, that can then be opened in PrE 10. Unfortunately, I know of no way to automate, or batch that, so you will want to launch PrE 4, and then the Project(s), Select the particular Title, and choose Export>Template (or similar syntax).
I have my personal Title Templates located in a "Hunt Titles" folder. It is then available to PrE and PrPro.
Good luck,
Hunt

  • Why I cannot to import .XML exported from DaVinci Resolve or Premiere?

Both have options to export to FCPX. But it don't work. When I go to File -> Import -> XML in FCPX, the files .XML exported from DaVinci or Premiere, appear hide or unable to select.

    Hello Neil,
Thanks for the response. I understand about the Speedgrade / Premiere thing. What we are trying to do is essentially the reverse. I use DaVinci Resolve, my client is using Premiere to edit. They want me to do essentially a best light pass on the footage without rendering it out. I then would export a CDL / EDL from Resolve and they would load that into Premiere or Speedgrade whichever would then display the simple color grade using the Adobe color tools. The CDL generated from Resolve is a cross platform basic color information inside an EDL. Anyway I can't find a way for Premiere / Speedgrade to read this info yet. Supposedly It will in Final Cut X, although I haven't tried it since I don't have Final Cut X on my computer.

Hi, I have a problem whit exporting files from Indesign cc 2014 -> Flash pro cc.
When i open a exported document in flash im missing elements and the animations.
I get some images and text but never vecorbased rectangles or anything graphical made in indesign.
Is the fla export function broken?  I looked at several tutroials and guides but i can't find anything about this problem.
Is the workflow from indesign these days -> eps->ai->flash-animation->save?

  • Exporting from Lightroom 4 to Photoshop Elements (Both trial version)

I have downloaded both the trial versions of the software and wanted to experience how they interact with each other.
I cant seem to be able to export my file from lightroom to photoshop though
Is this possible with the trial versions?

Trial version should make no difference.
One does not "Export to Photoshop" - Export is for one-way output.
Photoshop, or Elements, or other editor is called in as a partner program via "Edit In..." and the options for this are set up in LR Preferences / External Editing tab.
If Elements is not automatically appearing there, and you don't want to re-install anything in order to resolve that, you can instead manually set that up in the "additional editor" section below. Choose the Elements editor program file, a filetype and colourspace and bitdepth, and name this setup as an external editing preset. This preset then appears in the Edit In.. section of the context menu when you right-click on a photo in LR. A new file is made on disk according to your specifications, in the same folder, reflecting your LR adjustments to date, and Elements is started with this file open for editing. Save and close when finished (not save as). LR now shows a new image version, next to the original you started with, reflecting your external edits. These edits (any layers etc) remain available for further work thereafter via the "edit original" option.
So you can go back and forward as required between the two programs, always remembering that these two KINDS of adjustment / editing, are physically independent.

  • Export from FCP to Adobe Premiere on PC for client to cut

I have some sequences that are complete on FCP 6 and had originally been used for DVD production
Now the client wants me to export them to some format, written to DVD for transport, and enable him to bring them up on his Windows PC in Adobe Premiere so he can make cuts that he will convert to Flash and put on the internet. What would be the easiest way to convert the files to something that will make this process go smoothly. He has no desire to have FCP xml files and original data files so that he can continue to edit in premiere. He just wants to cut and export.

OK -- I could make them WMV on the Mac side, move them to Windows. What software do you recommend to get them to Flash?

  • Which codex to export from FCpro 7 to Premiere cs3?

    Totally new to FC pro
Need to transfer clipe to Premiere cs3
    Which codex do I use?

That really depends on what resolution you are working with. Are you in HD or is SD? Why even bother moving down to Premiere when you have FCP?

  • Export from Photoshop Elements 6 to Premiere Elements 8

I prepared a slide show with The Organizer of Photoshop Elements 6 and produced a DVD which has good but not excellent image quality (I chose File Setting - High 800x600). To improve the DVD image quality I installed the trial version of Premiere Elements 8. I exported the slide show to Premiere Elements 8 and have several problems.1 The image quality of the DVD produced by Premiere Elements 8 is worse than the one produced from The Organizer (Photoshop Elements 6).
2 The titles, transitions and soundtrack does not show in Premiere Elements 8.
3 The slides sequence in Premiere Elements 8 is different then the one in the slide show in The Organizer (Photoshop Elements 6).
At one time a menu popped up asking me if I wanted to convert the Catalogue of V6. I declined because I was afraid that the V6 catalogue may be replaced and I would not be able to go back to it.
    Please help.

    Conclusion.
My results are consistent with your problems NOT being associated with Photoshop Elements 6 slideshow being used instead a Photoshop Element 8 slideshow in the slideshow transfer to Premiere Elements 8.
Testing. Photoshop Elements 6/Premiere Elements 8.
First I created a slideshow in the Photoshop Elements 6 Slide Show Editor. It included:
    (a) 19 jpeg photos each with pixel dimensions of 3264 x 2448 (that is not recommended pixel dimensions but was used to stress out the project if possible...these represent grossly oversized photos since the goal is DVD VIDEO with standard frame size of 720 x 480.)
    (b) I used a Wipe transition between each
    (c) I used text within the photos (included in the text was a sequential number so that I could more easily visually follow the sequence of the slideshow after it was transferred to Premiere Elements 8)
    (d) I added two audio clips as soundtrack (the first I placed from beginning to just before the last two photos to pick up on any audio out of sync as well as loss of a whole audio clip)
    (e) I used a pan and zoom effect for photos 1 and 2.
The quality of the preview in the Photoshop Elements 6 Slide Show Editor was good.
I outputted the Photoshop Elements 6 Slide Show Editor slideshow, using the Slide Show Edit Output option "Send to Premiere Elements". When I did, Premiere Elements 8 opened, I set the project preset, and it accepted the slideshow. In the Project Media area were
    (a) a folder containing all the individual components of the slideshow
    (b) the slideshow file in a video (grouped) form
The video (grouped) form had automatically been placed on the Timeline as well.
Everything transferred correctly. No problems. SEE IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW.
I even burned the Timeline content to DVD-VIDEO standard from Premiere Elements 8, and the DVD-VIDEO standard played back well on my 19 in LCD Widescreen TV.
Testing. Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8.
I repeated the above with Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8 and the same slideshow and obtained the same results.
IMPORTANT. Whether it was Photoshop Elements 6/Premiere Elements 8 or Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8, I had to render the Timeline in the Edit Mode in order to get the best possible preview so that I could determine/confirm what was on the Premiere Elements Timeline. And, rendering the Timeline as described with all those oversized photos took several hours.
This is what I need to know:
    1. How many photos did you use in the slideshow in the Photoshop Elements 6 or 8 slideshow, and what were their pixel dimensions? If you do not know, you can check it out in Photoshop Elements Full Editor/Image Menu/Resize/Image Size dialog or just place your mouse course over the file on the hard drive and note the "dimensions".
    2. If you transfer your slideshow from Photoshop Elements 6 or 8 to Premiere Elements 8, use the Output option "Send to Premiere Elements", and get your slideshow on the Premiere Elements 8 Timeline, do you render that Timeline by pressing the Enter Key of the computer main keyboard so that the red line over the Timeline turns green when the process is complete?
    3. Is your computer optimized, defragmented, cleaned up, scratch files directed to an external hard drive (NTFS formatted), etc. If you are using an external hard drive for the scratch files, is there enough space there for them?
    4. What is your computer operating system and what are its resources, such as, available RAM and free hard drive space. Have you checked your computer's virtual memory set up?
Stay the course on this to rule in or out the above non wmv approach to getting your slideshow as a DVD-VIDEO. But if you do decide to detour over to Save As File Movie .wmv and you are dealing with oversized photos and an offending component in the slideshow, the the writing of the .wmv becomes a possible focus point for errors. And, if the .wmv is destined for DVD-VIDEO, then use the file size (also known as profile) = NTSC DVD (720 x 480).
I suspect that the problem core goes to
    (a) use of oversized photos
    (b) offending component in slideshow
    (c) size of slideshow
    (d) computer resources
    (e) combination of all or any one of above
I will continue to watch for your progress.

  • Are 'Archived' projects in ver. 12 openable in ver. 13? ie. from Adobe Premiere bundled as Elements and Premiere.

Subject: Are 'Archived' projects in ver. 12 openable in ver. 13? ie. from Adobe Premiere as bundled in  Elements and Premiere, their mid-level product.
Can version 13 open up a version 12 archived project?
How about vice versa? Have to be in a couple cities and have different version installations in different locations.
Any insight? Support's closed and I'm heading out of town today, will need to use the 'other' version.
    Thank you.

The ability to work natively with AVCHD files was not added until version 10, Michiel. So you'll still have to render while you work in version 8.

  • Why do I loose rendered footage from my timeline in Premiere Elements 10, after saving my project !

Why do I loose rendered footage from my timeline in Premiere Elements 10, after saving my project on exit! When I reopen the project, the timeline needs rendering again! Can anyone help me with this problem, it's driving me mad!
Is there a fix, or is it a problem with settings in the program! Any help, greatly appreciated! Mike's Media.

    Mike,
    Welcome to the forum.
Along with the answers to Steve's questions, please tell us about your computer's I/O sub-system, i.e. your computer's HDD's, and especially where the Project, the media and the PrE Scratch Disks are stored. For instance, if everything is on C:\, or perhaps the Project, media and Scratch Disks are all on an external USB 2.0 HDD.
    Good luck,

  • Removal of 'older' versions of Elements and Premiere from CPU

Can I safely remove 'older' versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere or do they share important resources, files, .dlls, etc.? I am currently running PSE 10 and PRE 10 and would like to remove PSE 2 and PSE 7 and PRE 7 to free-up hard-drive space.

Yes, you can remove them.  Each version of PSE is a self-contained installation.

  • Help me import images from Photoshop into a Premiere Elements project!

How do I add photos from Photoshop to existing Premire Elements project.

If you have edited the Images in Photoshop, just Save_As PSD (or TIFF). Set the Still Duration to the desired time, in PrE's Edit>Preferences. Then, Import them into PrE. From the Project Panel, just drag the Image(s) to the Timeline, and to an appropriate Video Track. Say, if you want to place the Image between Clips, just drag it there, and the rest of the Clips/Images on that Video Track will Ripple.
If you want to replace parts of a Clip, with that Image, just hold down Ctrl/Cmd and drag to the appropriate location.
If you want to overlay it, with an existing Clip, just place it onto a higher Video Track. Note: this yields the same general result, as the method above.
I strongly suggest that you Scale your Image in Photoshop, to match, or nearly so, the Frame Size of your Project's Preset.
Good luck, and hope that helps,
    Hunt

  • As with others I can't export from Lightroom 4 to Elements 10 or any of the Nik products except HDR

As with others I can't export from Lightroom 4 to Elements 10 or any of the Nik products except HDR Efex pro. Surely this has been fixed? If not it is appalling. It has been going on for too long in a program that has supposed to have some integrity

I am able edit pictures in PSE (Photoshop elements) 10 BUT i am unable to edit videos in PRE (premiere elements) 10. I will uninstall LR 4.1 RC1 and then install RC2 and use a backup of the catalog. Lets see if that works.

  • What do i do with a very slow Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements on a PC?

I seem to be getting mixed opinions as to why my Adobe software gets so slow, despite efforts to avoid that, but my computer seems to be working just fine, it is only when in Adobe that the problems arise, like freezing, taking longer and longer periods of time to open the screen to edit a photo, or to compare two photos side by side.  Any process seems to take such a long time, and the freezing can last for several minutes, and then continue on.    I have had a computer person come to my house and examine my computer and though his knowledge of Photoshop is limited, he feels that it is NOT the computer but something with Adobe Photoshop.  I would tend to agree with him.
Several theories have been explained to me, such as Elements and Premiere Elements are a low end of the scale of Photoshop programs, so it is just not going to be able to process high definition large photos well and quickly.  Stating comments like i can only use 2 GB of my memory even though i have 8 GB, so unless i can use 64 bit this is what i have to deal with, and it is just a way for Photoshop to say you need to upgrade to the fancier programs.  I do not need fancier programs.  I am working hard to master these, and have accomplished 4 great blu rays in high definition thanks to recommendations from the Forum here, especially Steve with the help of his books.
Others say i need a solid state hard drive to solve the problem.  Others say the only way i will ever solve the problem is to switch to a MAC.  Others state is a mal-ware problem, but i have never had my hard drive so clean and uncluttered.  I supposedly have as good of PC as i could have as far as QUAD-core, 8GB memory, presently a 1 TB hard drive less than 1/2 full.   All suggestions involve big outlays of money, with no guarantee that things will be any better.  I have tried to contact different computer companies and computer 'nerds', and these are some of the suggestions, but no one really has a lot of knowledge of the Photoshop software.
I am thinking of adding an additional internal hard drive, but not sure that is going to help either.  Could i put all my Photoshop of the second hard drive, and might that speed things up?
Adobe is rather worthless in trying to get help from them.  I have spent hours on the phone waiting and then talking to someone who says they understand English but they do NOT understand the question i am asking, which becomes very frustrating with repeat phone calls.  I gave up yesterday trying to do that challenging experience yesterday after i had spent 3 times the amount of time they said i would need to wait to get a reply, and i was at work, and my free time had come to an end.  So i am hoping you guys can give me some clues of the best thing to do.
Is it true that Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements are just such a lower end program that trying to do things in high definition, with 2000x1500 photos, making them into a blu ray disc is a major challenge with a PC?  I wish i had a greater computer knowledge, but i have struggled to achieve my goal, but the speed of it all gets very frustrating, though it is possible.
Another question asked which i don't think exists, is whether there is a program that could clean up Photoshop, or are there some clues that could accomplish that and thereby speed things up.
Would appreciate any suggestions anyone has.  I am in the middle of another project so now is probably not the best time to consider any major changes.  But any comments would be appreciated.
    Ron

Premiere Elements 10 is now 64 bit, but not PSE10.
Take a look at your scratch disk set-up and if you have a spare volume, allocate that first before the C drive. Elements use scratch disks when it gets low on RAM.

Turn off face recognition and the auto-analyzer to improve performance.
When editing photos or videos check the task manager to see what background processes may be running and end them temporarily if not needed.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 11 & Photoshop Elements 11 Errors, Downloading Problems, Uninstalling probs

On May 8, 2013 I ordered Adobe Premiere Elements 11 & Photoshop Elements 11. To this day they do not work properly, did not download properly, nor can I get them uninstalled properly to reinstall properly. I have not been able to contact Adobe all these months, & now they tell me I have to pay $39.00 more just to speak to them. I refuse to give them anymore money than I have already gave them! Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? I currently  have Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 & Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0. I was upgrading.

Thank you so much for replying. But I sort of solved the problem, yet I didn't solve the problem. I am running Windows 7 on my computer. When I purchased Elements & Premiere 11, I purchased a 1 time download from Adobe. Upgrading from 7.0. When I went to download it, then install it, it told me that through an error message, that it was not downloaded or installed correctly, so I would have to uninstall the whole thing & start from scratch, basically. So, I went into the control panel to delete the program. Hit uninstall, & it told me after it was done, that everything was not uninstalled & had uninstalled incorrectly. Now it was missing from the Control Panel, & I could not find the remains anywhere, I thought I would try to redownload it again. So, going through the process, it would let me download it, but it would not install due to the remains of the previous installation. I tried everything. And when I tried to go straight to Adobe, it was a no go. I put it on the back burner for months & used my 7.0 occassionally. Today I decided I wanted it fixed. I went to Adobe...my licenses are still in my account. But no matter what I did, it would not accept my old licenses. With the help of a previous poster, maybe on a different thread, I was able to uninstall the old program remnants. But I could still not download 11. I just decided to cut my loses, & purchased 12. I bought the trials, downloaded them, they worked great, & I purchased them. So, all's well that ends well. Of course, I am $170-some dollars in the hole, but whatever it takes. Again thank you for your reply to my delima.
