Exporting from SE11, Number Format Problem

When looking at data in SE11 from a table, the number format is XXX.XX,YY ..basically a number 900.65 is represented as 900,65 in the R/3 system. I want to export the data in a more meaningful format into Excel ie. 900.65 as 900.65 instead of 900,65. Basically the comma and the decimal point need to be interchanged. Please advise.
Thanks,
Anita S.

Hi Anita,
This not a security feature as such. User can maintain his own settings like the date format, decimal notation, thousand separator etc. It has nothing to with the security.
So you can go ahead and do the settings. Thise will be limited to your logon only.

  • Export to excel - number format

    Hi,
Our version is SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 and we have just pathed the system from SPS18 to SPS23.
However from that time has change the export to excel functionality. Now after you select List - Export - Spreadsheet you can select either Excel (in Mhtml format) or All available formats - here the same format as in the old version has option 'Microsoft Excel (In existing XXL format). However when the report is exported eg account numbers do not have the correct format. So you need to convert them first to the correct number format with function VALUE in Excel.
    Can this be somehow fixed?
    Thanks,
    Honza

    Hi,
Dots and commas is not the issue.
The issue is that eg doment numbers are in the format in which you cannot vlookup them with other files where document numbers are in number format. So you need first to convert them using excel function value(). And then they have the correct format.
I am 100% sure there was not the same problem before we installed the higher patch.

  • Music slightly out of sync when exporting in Premiere CS6, format problem?

Hi guys, i have a quick question.
I edited together a promo for a local band and everything is perfect in the sequence as far as being on point with the music at certain beats and such. However when I export it the music is slightly out of sync, which is bad when you edited everything specificly to the song. I am not using ANY audio from the footage but instead layed a music track over everything. I'm not sure what else to do, could it be a format problem? I am using h.264 (see below), but would AVI or anything else work better? any help is appreciated thank you!
I am exporting directly from inside Premiere CS6 using a custom H.264 preset. 24fps, VBR 2 pass encoding. Target 7MB, Max 11MB. (with render at maxium bit depth, and render at highest quaility selected.)
I put the audio settings to high, 320kbs AAC format.
I use a custom built PC with an i7-3770K, 32 GB RAM, and I exported to a 120GB SSD.
Any other info you need just ask.any types for uploading to vimeo so it doesn't get out of sync there? thank you in advance!
Also, any types for uploading to vimeo so it doesn't get out of sync there? thank you in advance!

    Hi,
I dont think that you will really get a problem while exporting in any of the given formats. But i would really like to check if the audio layer is exactly same as of the video. for eg - if my audio is 00:05:30 and my video is 00:05:20 , we might face issue with the sync.
We can try to put more black video to make it a match with the audio and then try to export.
Where do you have the media files , on a internal drive like c: or desktop? In case not , try to move the media files to desktop and then try to export.
Also instead of exporting the files to your 120GB SSD , try to export it on the desktop.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

  • SOS !!! Export from Discoverer to Excel problem

    Hi everyone,
My reports, exported from Discoverer to Excel look quite different from what Discoverer format is. The date in Excel is shifted, column names are missing and report is broken into several tabs.
Any idea why it is happening?
    Thanks lot,
    Sergei

When the users I support export to Excel they like to use the Export To Excel button in the menu. After they do that, they get a window asking if they want to enable or disable macros. I have them click Enable macros to get the same format as they see in Discoverer Plus.
If you get several tabs instead of one tab(and only one exists), I usually need to resave the workbook becuase it got corrupted (in my case anyway). If you want more control over how the workbook gets exported you can go to File--> Export... and they have some options on how the workbook gets exported.
    I hope this helps.

  • Export from ALV to Excel - problem with numeric values

    hi folks,
when exporting from alv to excel and we have negative values (and using an u.s.a. setting where . and , are different to r/3) negetive values are not shown correctly in excel.
when changing in win nt the regional settings to europe one's (e.g. germany) everything works fine.
    any hints welcome,
    kind regards

I guess this has something to do with the excel settings. In the control panel you have regional settings.try some options there. It might work.

  • Number formating problems in Norway

In my address book I have phone numbers formated this way:
+47 XXXXXXXX or +47 XXX XX XXX or +47 XX XX XX XX and when I get an SMS the name of the contact shows up fine. But when the same person calls me I only get his number - not his name. So I could of course delete the +47 in front of my numbers, but then it would be wrong when I recieve an SMS - because cell phones send SMS with the +47 in front of the number. How can I get this right, or do I have to report this to Apple so that they can provide a fix in the next version of 2.0 firmware.

Normally the phone disregards of the "+47"-part of the number and recognizes the number. For example +47-(0)12-3456789 is also recognized as 012-3456789 and Caller-ID should work just fine.
Another thing that's been bothering me, is that it's weird that even if you turn off the number formatting, it still uses the US-format, which is "(xxx) xxx xxxx" and I don't like that becuase here in Sweden we have alot of four digit area codes.

  • Number formating problems

When editing an existing Voice Recognized word document I'm not able to format the numbering so that the text on the second and following lines indents to the same tab that the first line does.
I'm assuming that is because of the way the document was originally formatted.
Is there a way to correct this?

I'm afraid this is the wrong place to ask your question. The MSDN forums target programming questions using the Microsoft programming languages (such as VBA for Word).
Your question is in the category "end-user" and would be better asked at:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word
When you ask, be sure to mention the version of Word involved. You may also need to be more specific about what a "Voice Recognized" Word document is - that's not a term I'm familiar with; others may not know what it means, exactly, either.
FWIW a setting in the number format is probably required, but how to do that will depend on the version of Word inolved and what kind of numbering was used.

Below is the output from my JavaBean. I typed in 5.1 for the audio TextField in my user interface and I got a resulting audio value of 0.0 which happens everytime.

  • Exporting from FCP in QT Problem

Hey, folks--would appreciate some help w/this. When I "export using quicktime" out of FCP-the newest version on my quad core--QT only exports about 15 seconds of whatever program it is. I've looked through the preferences in both QT Pro and FCP and found nothing--any ideas?
    Thanks,
    DorneBob

How are you exporting? Using 'export'>Quicktime movie' or 'export'>'using Quicktime conversion'?
    What are your export settings?
You're not exporting using QT conversion and exporting to wmv without the full version of Flip4Mac installed are you? If you're using the demo version you get limited export.

  • Jpegs can't be resized after exporting from InDesign

I am using Indesign CC9.2.  A problem has recently developed where I cant resize a jpeg.  It doesnt matter file size or settings.  I have tried every combination.  I export a simple document to jpeg and save to my desktop.  I open the file in Preview.  I resize it, and an error message states "this change cannot be saved".
This only happens with Jpegs I have exported from Indesign. No problems with jpegs from any other source.  Any ideas?

    Rob Day schrieb:
    Yo can resize and resample
But only with RGB images you are able to save the resized file, not with CMYK.
But the same problem comes with most of free image editors, they don't suppoert CMYK.
Maybe that Kristine should export as RGB, then she will be able to scale it or scale it upon JPG export from InDesign.

  • Currency format problem while exporting as excel

    Hi
I have to create a report for which the currency format should be $#,##0.00 and -$#,##0.00 for negative numbers.
In the text form field of rtf template, I have selected number format and removed the portion ;($#,##0.00) from $#,##0.00;($#,##0.00).When I view the report as HTML the numbers are showing in proper format.($#,##0.00 or -$#,##0.00).But when the report is exported as excel ,the negative number format changes to ($#,##0.00) in red color.
Can anyone tell me how avoid this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    Naveen

I think this is an Excel issue - you can right mouse click in Excel the column header and "Format Cells>Text"
You could also append a ' character to your numbers in BI Answers ie: '6035784010491980 which should give you the correct format in Excel.
    eg. CONCAT( '''', CAST ( '6035784010491980 AS CHAR) )
There is also an MS Office plug in available for OBIEE this may give you further options.

  • How to stop Outlook 2007 from changing my telephone number format?

    I'm using Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 (and Exchange 2007 SP1).
Now, in Outlook's contact, whenever I enter a telephone number, the stupid Outlook 2007 always tries to be smart and add brackets to the first few digits!  There's no brackets in tel number.  How could I make it stop from being too smart and changing anything?

I've found another PC with XP and Outlook 2007, but I still can't find any service called "Windows Dialing".  But I tried it anyway.  Guess what I got: in this computer, a normal local telephone format isn't changed.  But when the number is in long distance format, ie +XX YYYYYYY, Outlook 2007 stupidly removes the '+' sign in front of it!
I then tried in my first PC to see what would happen to international telephone number format.... it's OK, the '+' sign isn't deleted.
What a f**k!  What's this ____ called Outlook 2007 which tries to reformat things it can't understand??
I have exactly the same problem - I am in the UK and have a pile of UK numbers stored in international format (which most cell phones recognise and some generate automatically from incoming calls). So the number would be entered as +44 1234 56789. Outlook strips off the + and, because I sync with my pda, the numbers get exported to it in a broken state :-(
In the UK, we don't drop leading digits - to dial a number I either dial 01234 56789 or +44 1234 56789. We don't really use local numbers a lot in the UK - it doesn't make any difference within a local area if I dial the full code, just the local number or the international version. So there is no need for Outlook to do anything.
This is extremely aggravating - sure ly Outlook is not hard coded to use  US phone dialling methods?
There must be a way to disable the automatic parsing of numbers - if not it is bug that needs fixing, IMHO...

  • Export to Excel formating problem

I am having a problem with the formatting of a an export file
to Excel, which is created by a Coldfusion page. My export file
contains numbers that need to be formatted as text. I found the
style code below on this forum, but I am not having any luck with
it. I tried adding it to my style file or directly as style
formatting on the export page, but neither one of the two are
    getting recognized.
Is there anything else I need to code before this works? Your

Could it be a case sensitivity issue? I also noticed that you
are missing a <head> tag pair, and that your date range field
is not actually numeric. I doubt that excel is that delicate when
it comes to those issues, but you might try:
    <html><head>
    <STYLE TYPE="text/css">
    TD.number {
    mso-number-format:\@;

  • Number format issue in XML Publisher from OAF (',.' is replaced by 'u n')

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem in XML Publisher report. In report I need to display some number fields with 'USD' format. In RTF, data type 'Number' and format '###,##0.00' is selected. If I run concurrent program from oracle core forms using System Administrator > Concurrent > Request, I am able to get correct number format.
    Ex : 123456.00 After Number format : 123,456.00
Also its working fine from XML Publisher Administrator responsibility (using Preview).
But problem is when I submit the concurrent request through OAF, I am not getting correct data. ',' is replace by 'u' and '.' is replace by 'n'.
    Ex: 123456.00 In Report 123u456n00
Checked profile value : ICX: Numeric Character and its set to 1,000.00 at site level.
Do I need to set character set anywhere in OAF before calling concurrent program?
I tried to use "alter session set nls_numeric_character = ',.';" by calling stored procedure from OAF. But still its not working.
Please give me solution for this.
