Exporting HTML5 from Flash CC is WORSE then in CS6!!!

Maybe the new way of "Convert to HTML5 canvas" is better for some people -- but for me its a total joke!
I used to be able to have 1 fla file -- and in that - I'd have my as3 code - and my JS code - in one file.
Now - I've got to have one myGame-swf.fla with my As3 code - and myGame-html5.fla with my js code. So I have to keep making changes to both while im working on the game graphics and design.
The way it used to work in CS6 was so much better - 1 file - with both code languages - and all the graphics in the one fla - much easier to work with.
Please add the option back to use one fla like in CS6 - Publishing for CreateJS

He could make compositions containing the presets, save as CS6, and then you could open the project and save your own animation presets.
There may be another way, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Is there a way to, when I have finished this wonderful

export them from Flash to Illustrator as an .ai or .eps?
I'd like my images to be scalable and rezizable (to be able

Please help! I use Flash MX and Illustrator CS.

  • (How can we) Export FXG from Flash Professional using JSFL

How can we export a selection from Flash Professional as .FXG using JSFL? It appears that this is not possible... just yet! I have added this as a feature request within the Adobe Labs site for Flash Professional. Someone at Adobe suggested that I also explore the forums, so here we are. If you would also like to have this feature added, please let Adobe know by promoting the idea.
Our use case is this: we have a large Flash file with a library of over one thousand skins and assets that were built in Flash with Adobe's Flex Skins Templates. These stateful, graphical skins were used within a custom theme by several Flex 3 projects. Our ultimate goal is to bring these through Catalyst, maintaining their vectors, and use them to create Spark skins.
We've got a JSFL that can export each linked library asset, as well as any frame-labeled 'state' within these clips. However, currently we are using exportPNG, which is not ideal as it flattens our vector art into raster images. We are about to try the exportSWF option, and see what Flash Catalyst does with this. Our early attemps with importing swf's haven't been too amazing.
I'm starting to imagine some cross-product scripting in which we export symbols at a state-by-state level as .swf from Flash, then rebuild these onto layers in Illustrator, and THEN import these into Catalyst...yikes!
    Anyone have a better solution?

    Follow-up:
Out of pure wishful thinking I decided I would just see what happened if I pretended 'exportFXG' was already a part of JSFL. Based on the signature of 'exportPNG', i tried the following lines:
      var success = fl.getDocumentDOM().exportFXG("file:///C:/mySymbol.fxg");
      fl.trace("success:"+success); // output: success:true
It worked! Fantastic! I'm not sure if exportFXG is considered still in "beta" and therefore intentionally excluded from the docs, or if it was just an oversight. But at least it gives us something to experiment with.

  • Exporting images from flash

I'm currently porting a game from flash to the DS and having
difficulties exporting the images and was hoping someone out there
might be able to help. The images in flash are all vector based and
I need to export them and place them on a background (colour
255,0,255). The reason for the background colour is it is removed
programmically within the game (blue screening if you will).
Problem is, if I export them as png's and then add the background
in photoshop, or do a screenshot in flash with the image over the
background then it leaves a halo around the character.
Anyone know how to get around this?
    Take care,
    S.

Can you upload an example of the png or a visual of the halo
    you are seeing?

  • Cannot Export Video from Flash

    Hi,
I just copied this dvd movie using Magic DVD Ripper. I then
open up Flash and import it to the library selecting "progressive
Download from a Web server" (I DON'T want to lose the audio) and
edit it by shortening it to just one scene. When I select "Test
Movie" from the Control menu it plays just fine. But, here's the
problem. When I try to export it (whether it's in fla, swf, or mov
format), all I get is a blank screen and I don't see the video at
all. What am I doing wrong?
    Please help!
    Thanks.

The problem is that iPhoto is looking in the wrong place for the file:
    / Volumes/Sagate/Iphoto_Library_2014.photolibrary/Previews/2014....... "
It should be looking in the Originals folder.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Export information from Flash

    Hi all
I just wanted to know if anybody knows if it is possible to
export timing information, from the custom graph animator or
general information of animation key frames to either an xheet, or
even to have the information to be inported to after effects. A
rough animation can be timed out in Flash then the timing
information outputed and imported to After Effects, either manually
from an xheet or from an automatic import.
any thoughts on this would be great
    Jeremy

You might want to look at the information about control references again. You pass a control reference to a subVI and that subVI will update the control as it executes. That is exactly what you are looking for. There have been numerous examples posted to the forum posted on control references but if you need another, here's a real simple one.

    Thanks.

First of all, Flash is not a video editor - so you are
getting off on the wrong foot by trying to
edit video content - open the ripped video in a video editor
like premiere or final cut - get it
exactly the way you want it and then export it to FLV format
or a video format that is uncompressed.
Then encode it using the Flash Video Encoder which has a
built in wizard that asks you what you want
to do and how much compression - it is very straigh forward.
From there you can open a new Flash doc and drag the video
component to the stage - it is simple to
do and you should consult some of the many articles on flash
    video here on Adobe's site:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/video.html
    Hope this helps.

  • Issues exporting MOV from Flash

I have a movie that uses a couple audio files.  When I run this as a swf, everything plays fine...Except at the end. I have a frame that says thankyou.play()
That is tied to a mediaDisplay component
When I put a trade for thankyou.onSoundComplete....Nothing happens.
So with the Flash still working fine for the most part, I export the movie as a Quicktime movie.  It plays the intro audio but never moves forward from there.  The background noise is gone.
    Any ideas?

  • Exporting video from Flash to web

I've created a very short video, imported successfully to
flash, exported the .fla, .flv. .swf. skins file, .js file and the
.html file and whilst the video runs fine in Dreamweaver no matter
what I do I can't get it to run on the web all that shows up in the
exported Html file is the skin. Help please.

I thought I hit the solved button twice! In fact his solution worked for one or two flash players but you tube was not able to accept the file and Smart Notebook which I use extensively could not use the file in that format either so I still have a problem. I have Adobe flash converter but it wants to take 5 1/2 hours to convert a 6 minute video into flv format. FCE just crashes if you try to export the video to flv format. It converts the opening live type clip but then hangs up and beach balls. I wonder if it is the hi def video that is the problem. Anyway anybody else have a possible solution?

  • Exporting Quicktime from Flash CS3

I got the new CS3 suite 2 weeks ago and have been loving it.
I am finishing out a nice animation for a client and realized when
I tried to export it to a Quicktime movie that it wont. The
progress bar progressese just like normal and when it gets to the
end it stays there. I read up on Adobes site about a quicktime
error fixed by turning flash on in the preferences and I did that,
restarted and it still is doing the same thing.
Is there any other possibilities out there that could cause
this to happen? I would think this wouldn't just be my copy doing
this but it very well may be a wide spread bug.
Thanks in advance for any help! :)

That's the stupidest thing I ever heard of!! How can you remove the option for determining the size of my movie?! If the size of the frame influances the frame rate, you should have fixed that. With this it means I have to make my flash file 1920x1080 if I want the quicktime movie to be HD, not a pixel less.
Is there a way to override this? A plug-in or something that wil let me determine the size of the qiucktime movie independetly of the size of the flash file?

  • Exported QuickTime from Flash 8 - No Audio

After exporting a Flash 8 animation to a QuickTime movie, the
audio doesn't play. It plays when I test the file, and when I
export it as a .swf. I've tried different options when exporting,
but no sound. Help. Please, someone help.

How is the sound used in your timeline? Is it on the timeline
set to Event? Stream? Start? Is it in
the Library being called via linkage/actionScript?
If exporting to Quicktime I think you'll want to have it on
the timeline and set to Stream.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I stop firefox from flashing back one page then forword to the page I want??

whenever I use Firefox 11 the pages flash back to the last page I was on then back to the page I want. You cannot research or even read an article with out this happening many times, I have used Firefox many years and have not had this problem until Firefox 11. If I liked Safari at all I would use it instead.
    how do I fix this??

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Exporting XML from Flash

I have heard that there are ways that Flash can create an
external XML file. Most of my searches have revealed that this can
be done using PHP for server side solutions. However, I am
wondering if there are other ways that this can be done on a local
maching, using the XML resolver for example. There doesn't seem to
be much information about this out there.
    Cheers,
    Paul

A native Flash projector or swf movie cannot write an file
    directly to the
    local drive.
A projector could with the help of a wrapper program such as
    your own custom
C++ program or a third party wrapper program such as Zinc to
    name one of
    many out there.

  • Do I need to export photos from Lightroom 4 before placing in InDesign CS6?

I'm doing a print photo book layout in InDesign using photos that I am processing in Lightroom 4 & Photoshop CS6. My question is, do I need to "File > Export" the files from Lightroom before placing them into InDesign? Or are the Lightroom final changes I make embedded in the .tif file?

    Rob Cole wrote:

Unless I'm mistaken, even tiffs and jpegs need to be exported if you want changes made in Lightroom to show up in InDesign.
If said rendered image also had Develop edits yes, they would need to be re-rendered. A rendered asset in LR, no.

  • Exporting from Flash to FLV, docs say you can, but not how.

The Help files state that you can export animations from Flash to FLV.  I'm in CS5 Pro and cannot find ANY way to do that...
Alternatively, you can use Flash to create animations for use in movies. You can create an animation in Flash. You can export the animation as an FLV or F4V file. Then, you can import the FLV or F4V file into Adobe Premiere Pro for editing. In Adobe Premiere Pro, for example, you could add titles or mix the animation with other video sources.

    Are these documents wrong??
I can render to QuickTime and the encode, but I lose the linking on click to a url...
Thanks in advance for some guidance.
BTW, it really should be a lot easier in this "Pro" package to create items for YouTube for advertising purposes.  Youtube accepts .FLV (Adobe - FLV1 video codec, MP3 audio) but not SWF

then you can't export an flv from flash.  the help docs are incorrect.
i added a correction to the help docs.  hopefully, the adobe technical writers will fix that will a future edit of those docs.
