Exporting individual components

I built an fxp project which is filled with components.
The developers are having some hard times navigating all the components and have requested that I export each component as its own fxpl
The problem is..... there doenst seem to be an easy way to extract individual components from a project so that I can package a small library of assets....
It would be easy if i could delete everything in my project but the component I want... and then export. But even then it keeps everything in the library...
What can I do? There must be a quicker way?

Which version of Portal you are using?
Is it 3.0.9 or 9.0.2 ?
For 9.0.2 there is an option to bulk export/import the shared components by way of transport set.

The present method I have of exporting Shared Components in Portal (Oracle 9i) is within Portal itself, exporting Fonts, Images, and user templates

I have a long document, all threaded, with a bunch of inline graphics. Many of the inline graphics have callouts and pointer lines. I take the graphics, callouts, and pointers, group them, and then cut and paste the group inline into the text flow. I want to be able to tag the graphic (complete with pointers and callouts) for an XML export. But I cannot tag a grouped object. I remember learning at the PeP conference in May that one way was to build the graphic with callouts in AI, and then place it into ID. But I already have an established workflow, with hundred of grouped inline objects in my ID docs.
So I was wondering if there is a script that will allow me to export individual page page items as PDF or EPS. I know that you can export page items as JPEG, but I don't want rasterized text. Please assist. Thanks.

Keynote 6.0 doesn't export individual images

Keynote 6.0 seems to disregard any parameters you set when exporting individual slides as images. It just exports the entire presentation. This feature always worked fine in Keynote 09. Any tips, anyone?

I have found out that you can drag and drop a slide with a different theme from a newly created presentation into your current presentation and Keynote'13 will allow both themes to coexist. Hardly something that I would like to do on a daily basis but a workaround nonetheless. Hopefully Apple will put somebody to work on this at some point.

Stock update of equipment and its individual components when dismantling?

Dear experts,
We are buying an equipment(for ex.Generator) and we would like to dismantle the equipment into individual components(ex..motor,alternator etc) and build the stock of the individual components in stores so that we can use the components for different maintenance acitivities.when we dismantle the components the stock of the actual equipment(generator) should become 0 and stock of the individual components(ex..motor,alternator etc) should get added in the stores.How can we map this scenario?

When I read your requirement I forsee you proceed in the following way
Seems you are buying a assembly instead of buying individual spares
You need to convert that as a Equipment by issuing to a Maintenance order only if you feel
It's going to be installed physically in a location & starts operating as a technical object
Other wise if it's going to be dismandled into separate spares please discuss with MM consultants
as it involves stock movements ,they can map into a process
Don't issue it against Maintenance order route in this case

How can I export individual clips from iMovie?

I have 250 clips, but I want to export them ALL as individual clips, and not as a movie. I have taken a lot of time to select these clips from many hours of video. And I now need to get these clips to a post-production person for editing. I wish to export them all as indivudual clips, and maintaining the original order.
I can only find the way to export either a single clip, or an entire movie.
Can anyone help me on this Thanksgiving morning??

sorry I should have been a bit clearer.
There are three sections I wish to export individually from the one sequence.
I worked out that I could export multiple sequences within the same project, which is fine... but the ability to export separate sections from one sequence would be very useful...

Upgrading Individual Components of CS3 -- CS4

Hello,
We purchased the CS4 Design Premium upgrade from CS3. We have at least one open project using InDesign CS3 (other partners are using CS3, and have not upgraded), however, I'm interested in getting started with Photoshop CS4.
Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade just the Photoshop CS4 or: all-but-InDesign CS4 during the CS4 Design Premium installation? Or, can I still run the CS3 apps with CS4 installed?

First point is that you must buy a suite upgrade...you can't upgrade
individual components.
That said, when you install the upgrade it will be a totally separate
installation, it doesn't replace the old one so just install all of the
applications. You can, of course, choose a custom install and pick and
choose the apps you want but you have nothing to gain by doing so.

I am trying to figure out how to exporting individual pics of my selection.
If I right-click and go to export, the closest I see is to export and burn
and then I have just been canceling the burn as this route let me choose a
default folder. What I really want is to be able to select a resolution to
export and the folder. The purpose for this is to use in a new digital photo
frame that I got. The format, being that I have both jpg's and raw files,
would be jpg's. Anyone have any help here? Do I need a script of sorts? If
so, what would that script look like? Thanks much.

KIT purchase and stock updation of individual components

Hi,
I have a scenario where my client buys certain items required to assemble the finished product as a package(It contains 25 components). This package is just a group of components and it is not an assembly. Now they want to make a PO for this package and do GR for the package, but want the stock to be updated for the individual components in the package. I want to map this scenario by defining this package as a KIT.
Please note that the price negotiation is done for the entire package and not for the individual items. Hence no price is avialble for items.
I request you to guide me how to create a KIT and do the rest of the processes in SAP.

for mapping this requirment you need to go for enhancement such as mentioned below
you need to take help of abaper to see the feasibilty of the idea and also check the FI and Audit impact of this.
create a programe with abaper that whenever good reciept happens for any of the material code among a list then system should search the BOM of the KIT for which GR is done and by getting the list of the components from BOM system should trigger IDOC or BDC through which system will do the GR for every line item in BOM thru tcode MB1C and movement type 511
now you need to think about few more things that is
1. do you want to have a FI document generated for the GR done thru 511
if yes then no issue system will fetch the price from material master but if NO then you need to keep the material master at standard price and the material value should be zero or all the material should be created with materila type non valuated
2. Gr quantity of components should be picked as per the Kit GR quantity and BOM
these are the few things coming to my mind ...............

3D Picture Control Using Solid Works VRML File and Moving Individual Components

Hi, i am new to these forums and am looking for help concerning 3d picture control, i am a undergraduate student doing a second year project to control a 4DoF UAV.
I'm trying to sort out the 3d simulation of it, i have made the solid works drawings and assembly then exported that to a single WRL file (in the correct format ie. ver. 97) however when trying to import that to Labview i am having difficulty setting the relationships so different parts rotate etc. in the assembly.
i'll attach the corresponding example vi from labview and my solid work files.
Any help is very much appreciated

i've tried your suggestion with the naming however, i am using seperate VRML files for the different components and using the main vrml file to control the prent-child relationship etc. however when trying to access that file through labview it can't open it. this is the code within the vrml file

Export individual layouts in book module?

I have created a book in LR and exported it as JPGS and modified a few pages in PS with some graphic embellishments. I now want to change a few layouts in LR and only export those few layouts, not the whole book. Is this possible?

I don't think it is possible to do from Lr. Lr exports the whole book to PDF and there is no option of selecting individual pages.
But if you have Adobe Acrobat you can delete the pages you don't want in Acrobat.

Exporting individual tracks

I have recorded an ep for my band in logic express 7. We are planning to send it off to be mixed. THe problem is they will be mixing on pro tools. is there an easier way to set this up for them then just bouncing each track one at a time. Is there an export for all tracks individually on LE7? I saw on the forum that freezing tracks would work. does this make a copy of the whole track length of each each track even though there is different sections? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best way to export individual tracks for mixing on other software

I've recorded a song with my band, it has 14 tracks in total.
We have a friend who is a pretty good engineer and I want to export the tracks from GB to give him so he can mix/master.
What is the best way of doing this?
I've done a bit of googling and found two options:
(1) Find the GB track in the finder and use the 'show package contents' to locate each individual part
(2) Solo each track and use the GB share function
I have concerns with both options, with (1) not all the tracks begin at the start of the song so I will end up with lots of tracks of random length with no way to sync them properly.
With option (2) I am concerned GB will do it's own mixing and not give me the raw versions.
Any advice?
Oh, and a quick other question. If I have recorded vocals for verse 1 on track 1 and then the chorus on track 2, I can click and drag the chorus section onto track 1 but click & drag needs a steady hand not to get it slightly out of place. Is there a keyboard shortcut for this?

On this one issue, however, I would think that raising the volume on GB tracks prior to exporting to another DAW would have no effect on the number of bits used or wasted. The number of bits used would be an issue during the initial recording, and then when creating the eventual stereo mix. But the intermediary stage at which you transfer from GB to another DAW is "bit agnostic." Aside from transferring the files, there's nothing special about if from an audio perspective - increasing volume can't create more "original" information on each track/bit beyond the initial recording. Rather, it's the equivalent of adding a digital volume level increase on a track which you can do at any stage, like after the tracks arrive in their new DAW, with the same effect.
In other words, as I understand it, increasing the levels in GB prior to bringing them into another DAW or after you bring them into another DAW is equivalent as far as the original (or ultimate) meaningful bit information is concerned. Therefore, you might as well provide the tracks in as unadulterated form as possible, and allow the engineer of the subsequent DAW to apply any digital effects, including volume increase, as needed.
at a technical level, that's probably true. however GB does not output garbage, under the hood it's the same engine that logic uses. it may be a consumer level GUI, but the guts are professional level.

We have a export sale scenario. We enter the SO in the standard method. We have an additional tab page at the header of the SO wherein the Inland freight, Ocean freight and Export charges are manually entered and these freight conditions are activated.
In the SO we have 2 line items of 19,500 kgs. each. We have say USD 40 for inland freight for this SO, then in the conditions tab page at item level each of the inland freight is taken as USD 20 each.
Now we deliver 19,550kgs of line item 10 and 19,480 kgs of line item 20 since it is BULK filling into tankers. We do the standard PGI and then go for billing.
In billing at the header level the inland freight has to be USD 40 though we have delivered 30 kgs more overall. But the system is calculating the inland freight as
USD 40.031 instead of USD 40.
The same is the case for the other freight components. Request your suggestion to sort this out.
