Exporting Interlaced Wrong, or Smoothcam Not Applied

Based upon the conclusions of this conversation:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10730602#10730602
I'm exporting SmoothCammed clips as QT movies, and re-importing them.
However, I'm having a hard time finding any export settings that don't result in it:
* Being interlaced backward, or
* The SmoothCam effect being left out in the exported video,
or both.
For example, exporting it under "Current Settings," the video is SmoothCammed, but it's interlaced backward. Switching it to "DVCPRO HD 1080i|60" it is interlaced correctly, but the SmoothCam effect is not applied. There was one setting where I was able to choose Odd- vs. Even-field vs. None ... "precedence" or some such thing. They all came out the same: Interlaced backward.
In these cases, I'm doing the export by right-clicking the SmoothCammed clip in the Browser window, and choosing Export.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks, everybody!

I'll mark this as answered too, since I've done a few upgrades since then, and, for all I know, it may be fixed now.

  • Blur effect not applied when exported to swf ?????

    hello,
    I have added a fast blur effect to a portion of my video project in AE, it looks great in AE.
    but when I export it out to a swf, the blur effect is not applied, why??????
    thank you

    See "Render and export a composition as a SWF file" for a description of what is supported and what isn't for SWF export.
    You can choose to either ignore or rasterize unsupported items. It seems that you probably have the Ignore setting selected.

  • Export to Text file does not page

    Since I applied SP 7 for Crystal 9, when I export a report to a text file it does not page and print the report header on each page. It prints the report header once and one lone continuous page of information. My report was export to text with a page header on each page before I applied the service pack. How do I get it to page in the text export and print the page header on each page?

    In 8.5 the default behavior of the export to text was to not paginate. With 9 you have a paginate option when you manually export data to text, however when processing in batch
    Mary Vertz wrote:
    export in the background
    you had no such option and it simply defaulted to 60 even for those reports that were suppressing the page header. This causes those text files to have a new-page marker at the start of every 62nd line. This causes the data on that line to be moved 1 character to the right and caused many issue with 8.5 backwards compatibility as this functionality was used for flat file interfaces for instance with the bank for positive pay.
    In SP7 they addressed this issue and changed the default behavior to not paginate and enabled a parameter to be passed to control pagination during batch processing.
    If that
    database application
    is PeopleSoft, the parameter that needs to be added to the process request is  -LN<number of lines> ex. -LN60
    Also note that the CPI can be set via the command line as well. For PeopleSoft it's -CPI<numerical value> which defaults to 12 if it isn't specified.
    Unfortunately I do not have the SP7 release notes handy to provide more detail on these options.
    Thanks

  • Text not printing or PDFing. Non-printing is not applied. Help?

    I have a logo. The top is on a path applied to an oval. Same with the bottom. In the middle is an ampersand (&). When I try to print, only the ampersand prints. I've tried printing to 2 different machines. I also tried saving it as a PDF but I lose everything except the ampersand in the middle. Everything is colored black, so there are no weird colors going on. Non-printing is not applied to anything. Any thoughts? I can send the file to somebody if they want to check it out.
    ID CS 3
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Sorry for the delay. Spent some time looking for the font becasue I'm on Windows.
    I opened it first in CS5, and after font substitution it exported fine, so I figured maybe it was a font problem on your end, but just to be safe I opened it in CS3 to check. Same problem here that you have on your end.
    Good news, though. I exported to .inx and opened that. That page opened at 11 inches high, which may be part of the problem, but after resizing, it exported correctly. This is a pretty good inidcator of some minor corruption that is fixable by the export. See Remove minor corruption by exporting

  • Selection criteria are not applied to summary fields on group footers.

    I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem.  I am using Crystal reports version 11.2, and my data source is a Sql Server view.
    The records on the view have a date field, and I have selected all records within a given date range in "Selection Formulas".
    The records are then grouped, and the Crystal summary facility used to summarise number fields on the group footers.
    So for example, if my view contains four records, one with field "amount" = 2, one with field "amount" = 8, one with field "amount" = 6, one with field "amount" = 3, but only the first two records are within the valid date range, you would expect to see the first two records listed out at detail level, then field "amount" summarised at group level, with a summarised value of 10.
    ie ....                record1                      2
                           record2                      8
                           group level total         10
    This works fine when I run the report using Crystal's "print preview" facility.  However, when the report is run from within an application written in C#.NET, the selection criteria are not applied to the summary field, so you get ..
                           record1                      2
                           record2                      8
                           group level total          19
    I tried putting the date selection criteria at both record and group level, but that did not work.
    I googled the problem and found an article explaining that Crystal first performs the record-level selection, then it creates the groups and totals up any summary fields, and only then does it apply the group-level selection criteria, which can lead to problems like the one I have described above.  However, since I have put my date selection criteria at both record and group level, I do not understand why I still get the problem.
    In one report I got round this problem by creating a formula that returned zero if the record date was outside of the valid date range, and returned the number field to be summarised if the date was valid, then summarising that formula, instead of summarising the number field directly.
    In other reports I created one formula to set a shared variable as zero, then another formula to accumulate it at detail record level, then another formula to display the variable at the group footer.  In other words, I did not bother with the Crystal summary facility at all, but created my own summary facility.
    While googling the problem to see what other people did in this situation, I noticed that most fixes used variations of the "shared variables and formulae" fix to get round the problem.
    The problem is that I have lots of complex reports and it will take ages to replace the summarised fields with shared variables and formulae.  The reports were initially tested with "Print Preview" so we did not notice this problem until the C#.Net application was ready to use them.  And I can't believe that you are simply meant to ignore the summary facility and re-invent the wheel by doing it all manually.
    Please tell me that there is something simple that I have been doing wrong!!!  If I have not given enough information for you to answer, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Anne-Marie

    Hi, Anne-Marie;
    You may be running into a common issue that is docuemented here:

  • Why is my CSS style not applied to my HTMLB page ?

    Hello !
    I'm using a css file to define the layout of my htmlb page... but the layout is not applied.
    When I specify the layout CSS in a common html page the layout is applied but not for an htmlb page.
    Could someone let me know where I'm wrong ?
    EG :
    My htmlb page :
    <%@page language="abap" %>
    <%@extension name="htmlb" prefix="htmlb" %>
    <htmlb:content>
      <htmlb:page title=" " >
          <html>
                <head>
                <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
                </head>
                <body>
                text1
        <htmlb:form>
            text2
        </htmlb:form>
                </body>
          </html>
      </htmlb:page>
    </htmlb:content>
    My css file style.css :
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    body {
        background-color: #990000;
        font-family: Verdana;
        font-size: 32x;
        line-height: 32px;
        color: #666666;
    As a result, I have a blank page (and not red) with the text "text1" and "text2" written.

    This code you have is unfortunately completely bogus. It is just not going to work. Writing HTMLB tags are easy. It takes but minutes to make the magic appear in the browser. But, you have also have to understand a little about what is happening.
    At a very first, I would like to recommend this link: <a href="/people/brian.mckellar/blog/2004/06/11/bsp-trouble-shooting-getting-help">Getting Help</a>. You are specifically interested in the section that shows you how to get help about specific tags.
    As a next step, look at the help for the <htmlb:page> tag. It is the first important one. See how it is a collection of other <htmlb:document*> tags.
    Thereafter, look at SBSPEXT_HTMLB/document.BSP for an example on how to replace the <htmlb:page> sequence in your application.
    Once this is done, place you "<link ...>" sequence directly after the <htmlb:headInclude> tag that you have now on your page.
    Compile, test, assign 10 points.

  • MDT 2013: bootstrap.ini not applying username and password for share access

    Well all, I've done this at least 20 times today and the deployment share info is still wrong...
    Someone else built and messed with this thing so i'm trying to fix it.  We have 2 MDT servers and 1 WDS that is on the Production MDT.  I've turned the test MDT off.
    It was working fine, until I updated the deployment share ... after adding some drivers for the surface pro 3 for the pxe boot

    It continues to show up on the client as ||mdt901w8|deploymentshare$  (test server) (pipes for \ since it makes it a link and i'm new)
    I've deleted all the .wim and associated files from all locations from the deployment share\boot folder and from the wds remote install\boot\x64\images folder where they are instead of the remote install\boot\images folder that everyone refers to.
    I really can't figure this one out... I know it's something simple I'm over looking but I can't see it..

  • Adjustment layers effects not applying when flattening image or merging layers CS6

    So about a week ago I noticed something changed with my adjustment layers. In an image I would make a selection and start using adjustment layers to edit that selection, and then once I was finished, I would merge the adjustment layers together so that I could erase outside areas where the effect was not intended. However, whenever I merged the layers, the effects would go away and the thumbnail preview by the layer title would become blank (gray and white transparent) as if there was not anything on the layer. I messed around and I reset Photoshop, and then I thought the layers were fixed. They were somewhat fixed, except I've started having trouble again. Now I'm having difficulty editing this one image i'm on. It's a portrait with a photoshop-created red mask going around eyes, and I used the dissolve layer effect on the original mask creation which was black at first. Then I selected that selection and made more layers editing the hue, saturation, brightness/contrast, and exposure.
    I tried to save the image as a jpeg, and the effects were messed up. The hue and all other adjustment layers seemingly applied, except the dissolve effect does not show up at all. So I tried to fix it manually. I flattened the image first with intention to then save it as a jpeg, but as soon as I flattened the image, again the dissolve effect was not applied. Then I tried to merge the layers, and yet again, the dissolve effect was not showing up. It shows up fine in PSD form, something's wrong with the conversion process. Please don't be mean to me. I'm not great at photoshop, I'm not saying that I am or claiming to be a pro or anything I just want help from people who actually get it. I have CS6 and use a Macbook Pro.

    I stopped even trying to read this append. For is seems very complex and overwhelmed my little mind. Please consider including some screen captures showing your Photoshop window with your document that your writing about open and the layer palette shows the structure of the document. For me examples and screen capture of the steps involves involved would be very helpful.

  • Photoshop randomly not applying Lightroom-generated .xml files

    Hi there.  I have a problem with Photoshop or Lightroom.  This has happened to me before, but it's just somehow resolved itself previously.  This time it won't.
    I'm using LR 2.7 and PS CS4 and CS5.  I've edited a bunch of Nikon RAW files (NEF) in LR and then saved the metadata to the files, but when I open the images in Photoshop the edits are not applied.  It's like I haven't made any changes at all to the RAW files.  For some reason this only happens to a few images, seemingly at random.  I can't tell which ones without opening them all individually in Photoshop, though.
    I have a script that I run in Photoshop that creates PSDs from my edited RAW files and applies some quick Photoshop adjustments as well, so exporting the files from LR isn't a solution for me.
    I'm using a Mac Pro with Leopard 10.5.8.
    Any ideas?  Thanks.

    In the normal situation, LR needs to see a PS installed for it to detect the Edit In PS option is possible, so if you uninstall both, then install PS, first, then LR.  Of course with this release there may be some hiccup that requires installing either one or the other, again, but if you've uninstalled both and are reinstalling both, then install PS, first.

  • Urgent Group Policy Issue - not applying despite saying it does

    Thank you for this urgent help. Auditors checking this out tomorrow morning.
    We have a GPO that sets the eventlog audit settings for success or failure security events. The scope is set to Authenticated Users.
    When I run the group policy wizard in GPMC it shows the settings applying to one of our servers in that OU.
    When I run gpresult/z from that server it shows the policy applying to that server.
    But when I go into gpedit.msc the security audit settings are all set to "not defined" and they are grayed out so I can't edit them manually.
    As a test I set the GPO to deny applying to that server. I ran gpudpate/force on the system and then gpresult and it shows the GPO now not applying. But the settings are still set to not defined and still not editable. they are not being set by any other GPO.
    In the event logs I only see three GPO errors but they are unrelated. A separate GPO is having issues creating user accounts. No other GPOs apply.
    Quick help would be fantastic.
    Server runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 (I can edit GPO but not the domain ones and I don't have access to the domain controllers).

    OK, After several hours I figured it out. Turns out there's bugs and odd functionality.
    If someone ever tested the 'advanced audit settings' (which I did in the same GPO at some point) then it sets a registry key to disable the use of the older basic audit settings. But when you stop using those advanced settings in your GPO it doesn't remove
    that registry bit. So I used the GPO to undo that setting. This was the first step. This is found Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > "Audit: Force audit policy subcategory
    settings (Windows Vista or later) to override audit policy category settings" to DISABLED.
    Even though this is done, sometimes the GPO files on the domain controllers don't remove the old audit settings. So in the comments of another thread I found out you may have to go to
    \\domain-fqdn\SYSVOL\domain-fqdn\Policies\{your-policy-id-where-this-setting-was-originally-set}\Machine\Microsoft\Windows NT\ and delete the Audit folder which is left behind due to some odd bug. If you don't do this even after doing the next step the
    next gpupdate will bring that security setting above back down.
    Next you have to reset your audit settings on your PC to the defaults. Unfortunately there is no way to do this. Auditpol /clear does not accomplish this. The only way to do this is to take the audit settings from another working system, export them and
    then 'restore' those same settings to the affected server. To do this:
    1. On 'working system' run cmd.exe as administrator and export the audit settings to a folder like this:
    auditpol /backup /file:c:\working-auditpol-settings.txt
    2. Copy that file to the broken system such as the C:\ drive and run this on the broken system:
    auditpol /restore /file:c:\working-auditpol-settings.txt
    Open GPEDIT.MSC and verify the audit settings are back to normal. Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Audit Policy
    Then run gpupdate/force on the formerly broken system. Close gpedit.msc and reopen and verify the settings were not overwritten. If you skipped the sysvol audit folder deletion step they may come back.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • Synchronization: Attributes Not Applied

    Hello,
    Scenario: I have two Directory services.
    The first Directory service is an Active Directory and the other is a OpenLDAP. I’m trying to synchronize the User inclusive they attribute from LDAP
    to Active Directory with Forefront Identity Manager 2010 R2. My OpenLDAP is as follows constructed “ou=people,dc=ldap,dc=de”. In the organizational Unit are my Users which I want to synchronize. As Example which attributes my Users have:
    “cn=Marcel Leukel;
    sn=Leukel;
    givenName=Marcel;
    uid=mleukel”
    My Problem: I didn’t get all attributes in a full synchronization by the step from the Metaverse to the Connector Space from the FIMMA. That attribute
    “LastName” is the only one that I can synchronize.  I get the value of the LastName from the LDAP attribute “sn”. If I create a preview after a full synchronization run than are all attributes on “Not Applied”. Only the attribute LastName was Applied.
    Sincere regards,
    Marcel Leukel

    My attribute flow from LDAPMA is:
    Data Source Attribute --- Metaverse Attribute
    Object Type: inetOrgPerson --- Object Type: person
    uid --- Import ---
    accountName
    cn ---
    Import --- displayName
    givenName --- Import --- firstName
    sn --- Import --- lastName
    The attribute flow from FIMMA is:
    Data Source Attribute --- Metaverse Attribute
    Object Type: Person --- Object Type: person
    AccountName --- Export --- accountName
    DisplayName --- Export --- displayName
    FirstName --- Export --- firstName
    LastName --- Export --- lastName

  • Lightroom 2.7 exporting the wrong images

    Hi. I've been using Lightroom since the first beta, currently running LR2.7 on a MacBook Pro. I installed the new CS5 (Web Premium suite) a little more than a week ago, and I'm suddenly having problems exporting images to JPEG from Lightroom.
    Images import and edit correctly, look great, nothing gives me an error message. But when I try to export a single image, the first instance (after I've launched the application) will export correctly. After that, there seems to be about a 70% chance that subsequent attempts will export the wrong image. The file is correctly named, but the image will be a duplicate of the last successful export.
    If I try to export a batch of four or five, the first image will usually export correctly, sometimes the last image will export correctly, but anything in between will be a duplicate of either a previous export, or the first image.
    I assumed it was a memory issue, shut down the Mac and restarted, then opened Lightroom as the only active application. Same thing happened. I can export correctly in other applications such as Photoshop and Flash, but Lightroom won't. Activity Monitor doesn't show anything out of line for memory usage.
    When the problem started happening I was running 2.6; I upgraded to 2.7 to see if that would fix it--it doesn't.
    Any ideas? I'd rather not delete and reinstall Lightroom and rebuild my libraries if I can avoid it, especially if that might not solve the problem.
    Help!
    Thanks--
    --cynthia

    Hmmmm. I've tried various naming conventions and I'm still looking for consistency in the way the error occurs--could have something to do with naming presets, but it's acting like something gets stuck in the cache. What puzzles me is that I export files daily, haven't changed cameras, cards, file locations, my workflow is the same, and I've never had this problem. The only thing that's changed (that I'm aware of) is the installation of CS5--the error seems to have started when I started using "Edit in Photoshop." (And again, that was never a problem before)
    The files all have different names, the ones assigned by the cameras.
    This morning I rebooted, didn't launch any of the CS5 apps. Launched Lightroom, chose 7 files at random and exported them with the "filename" preset. They exported correctly. I selected them again, and tried another export, this time giving them a custom name, and they exported correctly with a sequence number attached. Tried them with "Custom Name-Sequence," and they worked again. I exported a single file with the same preset, again it exported correctly.
    Then I switched folders, selected 7 different images and exported them with a new "Custom Name-sequence," and this time Lightroom exported EIGHT files. The sixth was the previously-exported single-file, so the exporter had gotten the first 5 right, inserted the old file in the sixth position, and then correctly exported the last two.
    Three more tests exported everything correctly, which is far fewer errors than yesterday. I'm kinda stumped.

    Yes I think you should do this.

    Step 1 - Password file fro standby - Copy from primary and rename
    Step 2 - Directory Structure on the remote server - Make sure noting is missing
    Step 3 - Oracle Net Setup - entry for the CLONE in your TNSNAMES.ORA on both servers
    Step 4 - SID_LIST_LISTENER addition ( assumes listener named LISTENER )
    Step 5 - Timeouts set in listener.ora and sqlnet.ora Both Servers
    Step 6 - Initialization Parameter File for the Auxiliary Instance
    Step 7 - Set SID for Auxiliary Instance
    Step 8 - Create an SPFILE for the new database by using a pfile with the INIT settings
    Step 9 - Shutdown and startup nomount on new Spfile ( Auxiliary Instance )
    Step 10 - Start RMAN and run the DUPLICATE Command
    SID_LIST_LISTENER Example from mine
    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
       (SID_LIST =
           (SID_DESC =
           (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
           (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2)
           (PROGRAM = extproc)
           (SID_DESC =
           (global_dbname = CLONE.hostname)
           (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2)
           (sid_name = CLONE)
    Prevent Timeouts
    Add these to both servers
    To listener.ora
    INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_ = 120
    To sqlnet.ora
    SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 120
    Then stop and start the listener.
    RMAN
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/rman target=sys/@primary auxiliary=sys/@standby
    Connect should return something like this
    connected to target database: RECOVER9 (DBID=3806912436)
    connected to auxiliary database: CLONE (not mounted)RMAN>duplicate target database for standby from active database NOFILENAMECHECK;
    INIT Extras
    To avoid ORA-09925 make sure the PFILE has audit_file_dest and core_dump_dest set

  • AppV 5.0 SP2 HF4 - Registry not applying when set via DynamicConfig.xml

    I have an AppV 5.0 package of VMWare and have tweaked the dynamicconfig.xml file to add a registry key.  I am applying the package with the AppV 5.0 management and publishing server globally.  This is what my dynamicconfig.xml looks like, pulled
    from the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft... folder (my apologies if it doesn't format well, it does validate):
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <DeploymentConfiguration PackageId="7817a78f-feed-4070-8be5-
    <Registry Enabled="true">
    <Include>
    <Key Path="\REGISTRY\USER\[{AppVCurrentUserSID}]\Software\VMware\VMware Infrastructure Client\Preferences">
    <Value Type="REG_SZ" Name="RecentConnections" Data="wsvcenter20.healthy.bewell.ca,wsvcenter01.healthy.bewell.ca,wsvcenter40.healthy.bewell.ca,wsvcenteribm01.healthy.bewell.ca">
    </Value>
    </Key>
    <Key Path="\REGISTRY\USER\[{AppVCurrentUserSID}]\Software\Foo"><Value Type="REG_SZ" Name="Bar" Data="NewValue"></Value></Key><Key Path="\REGISTRY\USER\[{AppVCurrentUserSID}]\Software\EmptyKey">
    </Key>
    </Include>
    </Registry>
    <FileSystem Enabled="true">
    </UserConfiguration>
    <MachineConfiguration>
    <ProductSourceURLOptOut Enabled="true"> </ProductSourceURLOptOut>
    <Subsystems>
    <Registry>
    <Include>
    <Key Path="\REGISTRY\Machine\Software\Foo"><Value Type="REG_SZ" Name="Bar" Data="Baz">
    </Value>
    </Key>
    <Key Path="\REGISTRY\Machine\Software\EmptyKey">
    </Key>
    </Include>
    </Registry>
    </Subsystems>
    </MachineConfiguration>
    </DeploymentConfiguration>
    I left in the example Foo registry just to see if it works.  When I launch vSphere I do not get all the drop downs in the "RecentConnection" keys, opening the AppV 5 package in cmd.exe with the /appvve switch and opening regedit shows the
    registry keys with the sequenced application, but not the registry keys in the dynamic config.xml.  I should also note I'm trying to replace existing keys that already have the "RecentConnection" that are in the manifest.xml.  So I'm not
    sure if "Include" is "Replace" and errors out if those keys already exist...?  I don't see any errors in the event log.  I'm not sure of any other way that the event log reports if dynamicconfig.xml is being applied.
    Lastly, this is what my get-appvclientconfiguration looks like:

    TLDR; My dynamicconfig.xml registry values are not applying.  Help!

    Hi Ral,
    I did as you described, exporting my default config.xml and I can see my modification is present in the exported file.

    but the registry value's still do not exist when I launch VPXClient.exe or open regedit.exe with the /appvve: command switch.
