Exporting iTunes tracks so WMP can read them...

Hi
I've just got a new car which has a USB input that recognises Windows Media Player files (.mp3, .mpa, .wav, .m3u, .wpl) but apparently won't recognise my Mac iTunes files - obviously .aac and .mp4.
is there ANY way of getting my substantial iTunes library or at least a few playlists on to a USB stick in a format that will be recognised by this system from my MAC. I do have virtual PC but again - wouldn't that involve importing unreadable Mac versions and so, not work either?
Or is it just back to FM transmitter again???
Thanks for any help!

You would have to convert the AAC files to a compatible format in iTunes to use in the car. When it comes to the protected purchases (,m4p), the only thing you can do is burn them to an audio CD. The protection prevents a direct format change.

You would have to import them to iPhoto, iPhoto cannot work with images that are not in its library.
You might try some of the other viewers out there.

  • I am copying audiobooks on CD to the iTunes, so that I can send them to my iPod, however I do not know how to keep all the disks that comprise a book ( sometimes up to 18 disks ) organized so that they are recognized as part of abook and played in sequenc

I guess I asked the question in the title, anyway one more time:I am copying audiobooks on multiple CDs to Itunes so that I can sync them to an Ipod and listen to them, how do I keep the multiple disks inone folder under one book title and how do I keep the tracks from intermingling with the tracks from another disk?  EXAMPLE: I just downloaded one book, consisting of three CDs and I see the Track o1 information from each CD in sequence followed by three Track 02, instead of all tarcks from the first CD followed by the tracks of the next CD etc.

Thank you, I read that lengthy procedure before I asked the question.
I have no way of following all of those steps successfully since I am about butterfingered a sthe last dinosaur and will make every  mistake in the world and get frustrated with  something that SHOULD be simple.
I have the three disk autobook showing in iTunes library as one title , I had to  enter the dat amyself since it was not listed on the internet data base, All entries for all tracks match and I have indicated  the disk number  as  one, two or three of three as indicated.
Yet when I sync the iTunes to the iPod I am being presented with each individual track listed in the Audiobook Menu.
I am using the latest version of iTunes and a iPod Classic 160G-- that I purchased three days ago purposefully for the converting of the audiobooks to a portable device since the Library of Congress  ( NLS BARD ) books are formatted differently and the player is bulky.
Does anybody hav eany other ideas?
Does anybody have an e-mail address for Apple,  preferably iTunes folks?
This is a handicap accessability problem since my wife cannot see and depends on these audio books.
Obviously I will try that link to that Chapter and Verse site and see what I can do.
Thank you for your quick response

  • How can I back up my text messages to my PC computer so that I can read them or print them?

I have been trying to backup my text messages so that they are in a readable format on my computer so that I can read them or print them. I have a number of pictures that have been sent and some important conversations I need to save; however, they are taking up a lot of memory on my phone and I would like to delete them, but still have access to them on the computer. I downloaded a free program called Appandora, but it locked up every time it started to save the second text message thread. The one that it did save was in a .txt file and was very difficult to read. I do understand that the texts are backed up when the phone is backed up, but I want them in a readable accessible file. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thanks.

    Hi Maria,
I am one of the developers for the program Decipher TextMessage, which will help you back up your text messages to your computer. You can read the texts right in the program in a format similar to the phone itself (with the little chat bubbles,) and you can export the messages into a file with that formatting as well. You can download the free trial from our website: http://deciphertools.com/
If you have any questions, you can followup here, or you can contact me directly through the support page on our website linked above (feel free to mention my name, Kelly, explicitly )
(Note: As I mentioned, I work for the company being linked-to above, so I stand to benefit from the links I am posting.)

  • I want to add pictures to my itunes library so I can show them on itv?

I want to add pictures to my itunes library so I can show them on itv?

Following the thread in the discussions, I found this:
    - Edit > Preferences > Advanced, and uncheck "Keep iTunes Media Folder organized" and uncheck "Copy files to iTunes Media Folder"
    - Exit iTunes
    - Restart iTunes
    - Click to play a file that is in its new location
    - Locate it, click OK
    - It should eventually if not right away go look for other files when you confirm to find other files
    - Recheck the boxes unchecked above.
    That solved the problem.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. However it converts all my pdf files to Photoshop Elements 10 so I can not email them because no one can read them they are not pdf files anymore. What do I do?

Nothing has been converted. You first need to convince yourself of this.
Start Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat, if you have it). Use Open from the File menu. Pick one of your PDF files. Does it open OK? If not, what happens?
Ok, these emails. What exactly happens when trying to open them?

It is unbelievable that such an expensive software does not provide a proper lay out wit a high screen resolution!
It is also unbelivable that it is not possible to get a qualified employee of ADOBE on the phone in Germany.

  • TS4002 Having upgraded to 10.8 some emails are disappearing before I can read them.

Having upgraded to 10.8 some emails are disappearing before I can read them.
They are present for about a second, display as notified, but are not going to junk or Trash.
The problem doesn't affect all emails and seems to be restricted to some senders.

What ype of account is this (IMAP / POP)?
Perhaps it's setup on another system (computer, mobile, etc.) and downloading there, while removing from the server. You may also have email rules moving it automatically or marking as SPAM.
Changing your password may seem drastic but will ensure your current setup is the only one with access to downloading/archival of the email, and you can then eliminate other possibilities as mentioned above.

  • My text messages are deleting before I can read them

My text messages delete before I can read them. I can see that someone attempted to text my phone but the message isn't there. Anyone else have this issue?

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • How to export in a format Quicktime can read?

I'm using CS4 on Mac OS X 10.6.2.  I've created an image sequence movie with Quicktime Pro, which resulted in a 5.81GB file.  I then imported the movie into Premiere to compress it.  The export settings from Premiere were:
    - H.264
    - 24 frames
    - Progressive
    - Square pixel
    - 1920x1080
    - NTSC
    - There is no audio but media encoder will throw an error if audio isn't selected in the export.
The output file is a m4v and is 32.9MB.  Neither iTunes nor Quicktime can read this file.  How do I export so the file can be read by Quicktime and also retain a small overall file size?

Not directly from Lightroom unfortunately. I am assuming you want the pdf as the final output to send to people instead of a physical book from a commercial printing company. To achieve this you can fairly easily combine the pdfs outside of Lightroom. On the Mac, you can do this in Preview where you simply drag the page thumbnails between pdf documents. On a PC you need to use a program like Acrobat.

  • Exporting iTunes tracks as MP3

This is a similar query to that in thread 1015795, and is very simple:
Can I copy a track I've bought from the iTunes store to MP3 format?
Why do I want to do this? Because I've got a MP3 player I want to play it on, and I will not spend 3 figures on an iPod because I don't fancy being mugged either by Apple or some jerk on the street who sees me using it. I'm using iTunes for Windows at the mo, and it won't allow me to convert any iTunes tracks to MP3.
If the answer to the question is yes, then I'd be grateful if someone could let me know, and copy the message to [email protected] If the answer is no, then I'll never buy another iTunes track. TIA.
    Fred
PS: I've always liked Macs as technically-superior and user-friendly machines and currently have a Macbook, but I've always hated Apple's proprietary instincts, and I've a feeling that this whole iTunes thing is a way to force punters into buying iPods, which in truth are little more than fancy flash drives with DACs and a mini-jack and certainly not worth £150 ;-\

Ok, thanks for that reply - I'd not realised that the DRM was so inflexible. Luckily I've only bought a few iTunes tracks and I suppose I can burn them to CD to listen to on my fixed kit at home and work, but it's a pain not being able to put them onto a portable MP3 player. I'll make sure not to buy any more tracks in the future - I prefer CDs anyway.
When it comes to record companies, DRM, and copying, the phrase "******* in the wind" always comes to mind...
    Cheers
    Fred
