Exporting Java Add in and Importing to Standalone Java system

Hi,
I have a requirement to export Java system which is  ABAP+JAVA  and build a new standalone Java system through import.  Is it possible, if so please provide any documents or links.
Thanks
Shiv

Hi Shiv,
I've never heard that it's possible, but you could install a new Java system and import the self devloped components of your java software there (e.g. in SLD you can export a software component and then import it somewhere else). For database tables you might use an export- import function of your database, but I'm not sure about that.

  • Export scenarios from XI and import them into PI

    Dear experts
    We are planning to upgrade our exitsting XI 3.0 to PI7.0.
    Due to system requeriments, we need to install PI on new hardware and migrate all the existing scenario's from XI 3.0 PI7.'0
    How to migrate the existing ABAP developements from XI to PI  ?
    It's possible to export scenarios from XI and import them into PI?
    Thanks, in advance
    Carme

    Hi,
    you should go to PI 7.1 and not PI 7.0 otherwise it makes not so much sense.
    And yes it's possible to migrate your scenarios. If you have UDFs you have to check them because the java version has changed.

  • Exporting and Importing mail from older system

    I just upgraded my Hard Drive and OS. Was using Tiger and now Leopard. I can still access my old hard drive. How do I export my mailbox files and import them into my new sys?
    thx

    first of all, you can use Migration Assistant (it's in /Applications/Utilities) to migrate your whole old setup, not just Mail. if you only want Mail, quit Mail and copy the entire directory homedirectory/Library/Mail and the file homedirectory/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist to the corresponding locations on the new computer. Delete homedirectory/Library/Mail if it already exists on the new computer before doing this. when you start Mail it will be exactly as it was on the old computer.

  • BAPI to export features of Exceptions and Jump query from BW system to othe

    Is there any BAPI is available to export features of Exceptions and Jump query from BW system to other SAP or Non SAP system, whereas won't  need to re-define Exceptions and Jump Query. I mean directly export features of Exceptions and Jump query from BW system to other system.
    Thanks,
    Rohan

    Thanks for quick response.
    I am working on Hyperion, they are using essbase, and Integration connector to connet BW directly and takes data from BW System.They have features to define Exceptions(Traffic Light) and Jump query in the Hyperion side. But now they want to import directly features of Exceptions(Traffic light) and Jump query from BW System(using BAPI) instead of defining Exceptions and Jump Query in the Hyperion side.
    Please help me on this.

  • Workflow for exporting xml from Excel and importing into table in InDesign

    Hello,
    I have worked out how to get data from a .xlsx into a table in InDesign. However, the workflow is still a little clunky and I am looking for way to automate the process further. My current workflow is as follows (files can be download here: http://visual360.co.uk/xml.zip)
    xml is exported from .xlsx by mapping the schema (see what_I_get.xml)
    assign tags to table and individual cells in InDesign
    This is the clunky bit: edit the what_I_get.xml to:
    remove the indentation (this seems necessary as otherwise when I get to stage 4, all the imported text is also indented)
    add tag for table in InDesign (p10_table)
    add tags for individual cells (p10_c11 etc.)
    import the produced what_I_want.xml in the structure panel of InDesign.
    Can anyone point me in the direction of how to automate step 3 above?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks very much for the reply. I am not at all familiar with XSL/XSLT. I have given it a quick google and it seems like it could be quite a steep learning curve to master. Maybe if I explain the whole context here, it may allow you to point me in the direction of a tutorial that provides a step by step approach to achieve my final goal. Alternatively, you may be able to suggest a whole new workflow.
    I am in the process of updating this document: http://www.ncl.ac.uk/students/insessional/assets/documents/IS_Brochure_2014-15.pdf
    The tables on pages 10-21 contain lots and lots of repeated information. We want the layout to in this format so that each group of students has all the information relevant to them on a single double spread. However, the challenge of using this approach is that it is very high maintenance to ensure the duplicated information is kept in sync - even using a copy / paste approach.
    I was hoping to overcome this by using a single source of data (eg. a spreadsheet) which would then feed into the InDesign. This workflow seems to be overcomplicated by the apparent need to use xml as the "middle-man".
    Ideally, I would like to press the export button in Excel and get this information into the the correct cells in the tables on pages 10-21 without a significant amount of manual labour - after all, my reasons for investigating an automated approach in the first place was to avoid the manual entering of data ie. the scope for error...
    An alternative approach maybe to skip Excel altogether and just use .xml. However, I am not sure that this is possible as Indesign only seems to allow you to import each element once. Maybe you could correct me here...
    I am happy to invest a certain amount of time in developing this approach as once it is in place, it will save a huge of proof-reading time year after year, especially as inconsistencies still persist despite our best efforts to weed them out.
    If you could let me know your thoughts on this and maybe identify a tutorial that would help me, I would be extremely grateful.
    Thanks again!

  • HELP PLEASE! Export Aperture 1 Library and Import to Aperture 3? Or another way to transfer files WITH changes into new MacBook Pro?

    Hi everyone,
    I recently purchased a new MacBook pro with Retina display, to better manage Aperture and Photoshop. I took the advice of the genius (and after spending all night messing with permissions, etc.), opted out of using Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant and decided to transfer my files manually (as the two systems weren't merging properly the first time -- it was a giant mess). Long story short, I tried to transfer everything from my previous MacBook (operating on 10.5.8 with Aperture 1), and Aperture 3 couldn't handle it. It was crashing, and crashing so badly that NO button could be activated in the program (I FINALLY got Aperture working by disabling previews, and by moving from a managed library to a referenced library).
    I initially dragged and dropped all photos from my previous MacBook to my external, and imported. I obviously lost folders, edit history and any other information that I needed to know what edits had been done on the file. Additionally, any movie that had been imported into Aperture was corrupt (the file was not transferring over correctly). I searched and searched for different methods, and finally found that I could export each project from my original MacBook as a "Library" and consolidate masters, or not, etc. I took the time and did this for each project. When I went to import these into Aperture 3, it said I was not able to because the libraries were from a previous version of Aperture.
    Is there any way to bypass this? Or another way to transfer my projects? I understand I won't be able to do this for my entire library... but I'm wondering if there's any way to transfer my changes made, projects and details from Aperture 1 to Aperture 3? (and for those who might pose upgrading my original MacBook as an option, I cannot. It's too old. I think the best I could uprade to is Aperture 2, IF i can update the OS. Though, I definitely don't think I should be forced to do that since I've aleady re-invested in a new computer, AND had to re-buy Aperture for the new one.
    Any/all advice is VERY much appreciated, as I really want to move forward and FINALLY start appreciating this program and computer (i.e. my investment) and move forward business wise. Thank you!

    Hi Jack,
    Thanks for responding (as it seems as though no one else has been able to provide any insight as of yet)! Not sure if you saw my recent post, but the version of Aperture on the 2008 MacBook has been upgraded to 3.1.2 (not sure how; I bought it in 2009, but only have OS X 10.5.8... which apparently can't house 3.1.2 of Aperture, but hey, like many other anomalies i'm encountering, I'm no longer surprised!). I am unable to upgrade it any further, as it warns me that my OS X does not fit the requirements. I exported the projects as libraries; however, like I posted before, apparently these are from too old of a version for the new Aperture (3.3.1) to handle and import.
    It's getting to the point where I'd almost pay to upgrade the OS X on my previous MacBook (10.5.8) to something newer in order to THEN update Aperture to a newer version; however, my previous MacBook simply cannot handle this (the specs are awful -- hence my decision to save up and upgrade to the newest MBP with Retina).
    I've spent hours upon hours transferring files, libraries as projects, previews, versions, even masters (though, apparently some of them aren't accessible?) with no luck. I've rebuilt the library and reprocessed everything. And this is all after having to return one MBP already since Aperture 3.3.1 is glitch-y as it is, and froze everything for having a "managed library". So, now that I know that I have to deal with a referenced library in Aperture... I just need to actually transfer my previous library to my new one (hopefully WITH adjustments since these are years worth of photos and work).
    Again, any help is appreciated. I've lost enough sleep, time, and vision health over this at this point.
    Also, I know Migration Assistant is an option, I was told that it wouldn't work properly anyway because of the different operating systems, and the potential for problems.

  • Export 3.0.9 and import to Portal Release 2 on different platform

    Hi,
    I have to move a Portal site from 3.0.9 on NT to a Linux platform running Portal Release 2. How can I do it? I believe I cannot export from 3.0.9 and import to Release 2 - what are my options?
    TIA
    Steve West

    I will have this same problem as the 3.0.9 site is a production site and I do not wish to test the migration with this site.
    Do I need to export from the current site to another 8i database and upgrade? Can I import into 9.0.2 directly with the export?

  • Export from HP-unix and import on solaris

    Hi all,
    Can anyone give me the procedure and constraints that are taken for exporting oracle 8i on HP-unix and importing on oracle 9i Solaris machine, Any docs or metalink notes also helps me
    what are the parameters that should taken for faster export and import ...
    export is for full database ..
    If anyone can give me a quick response , i would appreciate that. because i have only 2 days in hand...
    Thanks in advance

    The export and import commands are documented in the Database Utilities manual for whatever version you are running. They work the same on both OSs
    Description of your requirement will help get a better response - it almost sounds like you want to migrate, but ...
    in general, the syntax is
    exp|imp user/password@db file=export_file.dmp parameters-list
    exp help=y
    imp help=y
    give a decent summary of the parameters. You can keep them in a parameters file if this needs to be reproduced.
    One thing - don't use 'compress=y' ... it tries to plunk each segment into it's own single extent, and that is often fatal.

    Hi,
    I dont think that cross platform with work in exp/imp u can give a try anyway.
    Take export in direct path tat would be faster if you are using 10G then use Datapump (expdp/impdp)
    Before u could use exp or expdp / imp or impdp login as oracle use and export the variable ORACLE_SID to the target database
    do this $ exp help=y (for export) or imp help=y (for import)
    E.g. export syntax
    EXPORT
    exp parfile=exp.par
    parfile (exp.par)
    userid="/ as sysdba"
    file=/path/filename.dmp
    log=/path/filename.log
    direct=y
    constraints=n
    triggers=n
    full=y (for full export)
    owner=user1,user2(for schema level export)
    IMPORT
    imp parfile=imp.par
    parfile (imp.par)
    userid="/ as sysdba"
    file=/path/filename.dmp
    log=/path/impfilename.log
    full=y (for full import)
    fromuser=username (for schema level import)
    touser=username
    Try in google search for syntax of otn site for good documents

    We are using a 8.0.5 database with database size under 1G, and we would like to test the database in Oracle Express 10g; however, during the export and import process, many errors encountered. Is there any formal procedures to follow, so that the process can be smoothen?

  • Export From 3.0 and Import to 3.1

    Hi guys,
    I'm having error at below while i'm trying to import my application which is exported from apex 3.0. Right now i'm working on Application Express 3.1.0.00.32
    Can anybody help me please?
    Thanks for your interest
    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 17, column 71: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "," when expecting one of the following: * & = - + ; < / > at in is mod remainder not rem <an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <= <> and or like LIKE2_ LIKE4_ LIKEC_ between || member SUBMULTISET_ <pre>begin declare p varchar2(32767) := null;

    All DADs used for Application Express must use AL32UTF8 as the characterset. If they are something else you need to change them, restart the HTTP servers and export again. Then try to import/install. I would test the export and import/install on 3.0 first. When that works error-free, take the export files and import/install into 3.1.

  • Export from 8.1 and import to 9.2

    Hi all.
    I have an export from a 8.1 version. Can I do the import to 9.2?
    I have read the http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/exp_imp.htm#i1013164
    and in the table doesn't appear this case.
    Thanks in advance.

    You can perfectly import from a lower version to an upper version, not a big deal with that export works with upward compatibility. The reason why this exp/imp operation doesn't appear in the table is because the table, if you read carefully, refers to the downward compatibility issue, i.e. export from a higher release and import to a lower release.

  • Export from one version and import into another version

    We have a customer database that accidently got updated to 10.2.x but our application only supports 10.1.5 What we are wondering can we export the 10.2 database and import it into a new system that is at our supported version of 10.1.0.5?
    Will the import even work or will it fail with unsupported version? Any other things we should be aware of?

  • Export reports and Import to an existing system

    Hi All,
    I am using Sun IDM 7.1 , MySQL 5.0, and Directory server 5.2 . I have created some custom report . i want to export this reports and Import it to some other IDM system where i dont have this custom report. How can i achieve this scenario?.

    Yes you can export a report from the debug page, it's listed as a TaskTemplate.
    Then import into the new system.

  • Export from 9.2 and Import to 8.1.7

    I'd like to export a schema from a Ora 9.2 database and import the schema into an Ora 8.1.7 database.
    I understand that you can use Ora 8i's Export utility to export from a 9i database... but I don't have Ora 8i.
    The 9.2 database is on a laptop and only 9.2 is installed. I really, really don't want to install 8.1.7 alongside 9.2 on my laptop because it's alway too risky to install an older version alongside a newer one.
    Is it possible to get just the EXP.EXE program for 8i without installing anything else? How would I get my hold little hands on it?
    Any alternate methods of exporting/importing between these versions?
    Thanks.

    If you try to import a file created by Oracle9i rel 2 export utility, into Oracle8i 8.1.7 using Oracle8i import utility
    you would get the following error message on import:
    IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification
    IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
