Exporting JPGs with their Original Filename

So, I have these sets of cropping documents with images laid out in them taking up the entire frame, no text or anything else. At the end of the day, I need to export the crops with the original JPGs' naming convention. Right now, I am going through, exporting and then renaming. Sometimes I get sequential images with the same prefix in the same document which is super easy. However, other times there are images with different prefixes, a couple image numbers missing, or even the sequence being out of order. I was wondering if there was a way(maybe a script) out there that would allow me to export JPGs of each page while using the placed JPG's filename. So if page 1 had a JPG named image_1 and page 2 had a JPG named image_4, when I export them, I'd end up with two files, image_1 and image_4.
It might sound silly, but it would be super helpful when exporting documents with 30+ images, sometimes laid out in the incorrect order or with different prefixes. Any one have any ideas? Or even if it would be possible?

What you see in Lightroom - are just previews, that were built before dropping your Passport. All you have are JPEG-compressed previews, your original RAWs died with your external HDD. You can get those previews from Lightroom's preview cache using a tool like LRViewer.
I don't think you can create a web gallery from withing Lightroom. Lightroom will need to have the original master files in order to build a gallery. That's even if you have high quality previews prebuilt. So, again, if you extract the previews with LRViewer, save them as JPEG files and import into a Lightroom catalog instead of your DNGs - you will be able to upload a web gallery.

Both iCloud and iTunes backup included all the photos in the iPod Camera Roll album.

How do I most efficiently export photos on their original format with all metadata and adjustments applied? I am looking for a solution for exporting corrected photos between computers with Lightroom 5 installed. Preferably with no exporting or merging of catalogs.

And yet exporting a catalog is the perfect solution for communicating with another LR catalog...
But if you really want to export photos , File>Export should work. I guess I don't really understand what your concerns are.

Export jpg with sequence with LightRoom 4.2

Exporting jpgs is fine to watch them on TV or wherever. The problem is the incorrect order in the resulting filenames. They go like

MUCH BETTER would be:

pic-002
pic-010
pic-011
just like Photoshop Elements does it.
Any way to get that?

Absolutely. In your Export options, you have file renaming options. These include numbering to as many padded zeroes as you want:
In order to include a particular naming item within the filename pattern, you would click Insert next to that after selecting which variant you want from the menu shown in the screenshot. This adds a corresponding new field into the template, which you can then manually edit further with removing prior items, typing in dividing spaces or dashes, fixed text etc.
If you select "sequence" numbering, for example - this should reflect any custom order you have put your images into. The first one seen in LR then becomes (e.g.) "img-001.jpg", the next "img-002.jpg" and so on. If you wanted to retain your original filename in there for reference, but still lead with this custom ordered sequence, you could assemble something like "001-[IMG_2345].jpg", "002-[IMG_2127].jpg", etc.

Safe as jpg WITH the original date embedded?

Hi everyone!
I use Adobe Bridge to organize my photos and to adjust them in Camera Raw (targeted adjustments --- yeah ).
Sometimes I have to safe some of those adjusted photos as jpg to send them to my family (because they don't use RAW and those files are way too big of course). What really bothers me is that there seems to be no way to get the original date giving by the camera into the EXIF-data so that my family sees when I shot this or that picture.
Is there any chance to do so? I meen, when exporting pictures with e.g. iPhoto, the original date is embedded. But I don't want to abandon those brilliant adjustment tools of Camera Raw.

The original date and time ARE embedded in the exported JPEG file's EXIF data. Please explain exactly the why you think it is not. Note that the OS file system dates are not the same as the EXIF dates.

When exporting a group photos with their individual titles, iPhoto changes the manual sequence that I have given and imposes its own sequence (which seems to be alphabetical). The export dialogue box allows me to use my titles or to impose a numerical sequence.

What you are missing is that files have no order - you view them using a program and that program creates the order
When viewing in an iPhoto album you can sort manually and iPhoto will display the photos as you sorted them - but when you move to a different program (the finder for example) you have a totally different set of sorts available - for example in the finder the same set of files can be viewed in alpha order, in size order, in date modified order, etc - none of those are inherent in the file but are sorts set under the view menu
So to meet your requirements you must export with file attributes that allow the finder view options to present your desired view - which is what volunteers here have tried to help with - even though it really does not involve IPhoto in any way

Exported JPGs with patch have Big Black Box - ugh

I've seen a few other threads related to this, but I haven't found a solution: when I export a JPG that's been patched in Aperture, I get terrible corruptions - check out this example. It seems to happen every time. I'm on a 24" iMac with an upgraded video card and 2GB RAM, using RAW images from a D70 exported as mid-size JPEGs. Anybody got a fix/idea/something for this? Or am I going to have to clean my lenses more often ??

1.5.2 says it addresses image export, but it doesn't state which bug(s) corrected.
I haven't exported a bunch of images since, but I was plagued with this under 1.0-1.5.1.
Workaround (for affected images):
Go into full screen. Pause for a second
Export image
(I run Activity Monitor to show CPU activity)
Wait until CPU activity drops to baseline
Go on to next image.
For really stubborn (i.e. lots of spot/patches), I would use zoom to 100% and scroll around the whole image to ensure it was all held in memory at full res.

Export photos with their file name stamped on to them

I have finished sorting, selecting, cropping etc my photos. I now wish to export low res samples of them to CD so that customers can view the samples and order prints. I can add a watermark and perform the export, but I want to add (stamp) each photo's file name to the photo sample. This would make it easier for a computer 'challenged' person to correctly obtain the correct photo file names.

I've not seen that as an option in Aperture. I believe your best bet is to export and html document and add the file information as part of the html.

How to export file with original filename number suffix, but with more digits

Is there a way to keep the original filename number suffix, but change the formatting of the number, adding leading zeros for instance?
When I import photos from my camera I like to rename them, and give them sequential numbers, e.g. "2015-01 Hamburg 1.cr2", "2015-01 Hamburg 2.cr2", "2015-01 Hamburg 10.cr2", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 134.cr2", and so on.
Normally when I export photos I like to keep the file names exacly as I imported them (except the extension) e.g. 2015-01 Hamburg 1.jpg, "2015-01 Hamburg 2.jpg", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 10.jpg", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 134.jpg".
But sometimes I would like to export them with leading zeros, typically when adding photos to a web site or blog where there are sort mechanisms that only support simple sort algorithms based on file names, meaning the sort order of my photos with their original file names would become "2015-01 Hamburg 1.jpg, "2015-01 Hamburg 10.jpg", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 134.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 2.jpg".
So I would like the file names to be "2015-01 Hamburg 001.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 002.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 010.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 134.jpg".
By keeping the original file number suffix I can easily go back to the original file whenever I need to, and the sort order would work even with simple sorting.
The export Filename Template Editor gives quite advanced support for numbering files when exporting, see attached screenshot. There's support for exporting files with custom file names, and adding sequence, total and image number with padding (up to 9999/####). But those add new numbers, they do not consider the original filename number suffix. If I use the "Image # (001)" for instance, my example above would export as "2015-01 Hamburg 001.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 002.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 003.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 004.jpg", if those were the four photos I wanted to export, making it hard for me to trace them back to the original photo.
I have found no way of adding such padding on the original file number.
Does anyone know if this is possible or have suggestions for a workaround?
It shouldn't be too hard for Adobe to support this I'd imagine.

I do not know if you can do what you explained above, but there is a workaround to this (and a way to avoid having to do it in the future):
In the Library module, make sure your images are sorted by Capture Date (this will put them in the right order, even with suffixes like 1, 13, etc.)
Select all images, and then Rename them, using a Custom text followed by a Sequence number. The Custom text in this case should be the original name (such as, 2015-01 Hamburg, as in your example). Make sure the Sequence number is formatted with enough zeroes to include all the numbers in your images.
In the future, when you rename images during Import, make sure you select the Sequence number format that will include all the needed zeroes, so you don't have to go through this again.

Export photos with original metadata

I have original photos that states the time taken and all other datas of my camera but once I edited and export from aperture, the new photos do not have the original metadata in it anymore. Is it possible to export photos with the original/master metadata?

How are you viewing the "metadata time"?
The file creation date is not the same as the metadata field "Date".
To view the metadata of an image-format file created by exporting an Image from Aperture, open it in Preview (the app that comes with OS X), run "Tools➞Show Inspector", and click the "Exif" tab.

Embed original filename in EXIF

I'm looking for a way to embed the name of an image file in the EXIF data inside a jpeg. Ideally I would like to see that as an option in Aperture when importing images. Here is why I believe this is a very useful feature for photographers.
I have tens of thousands of photographs on my computer. I often take one, or a few, or a set, and process them for some specific purpose. I often rename the files to represent the occasion. At some later time I want to find the original and rework it, but because I renamed it I can't find it easily. My originals, with their original file names are stored doubly backed up on separate hard drives. So if I could look at the processed image's EXIF data and extract the original file name after which it's fairly easy to find the original.
Actually it would be nifty to specify one or more processed files and automatically search for the original (given perhaps a clue where these might be stored)
Is there a way?
I generally use EXIF Viewer to look at the EXIF data and I don't see the original file name. Similarly in Aperture.

I understand that Aperture manages photos. But, photos and derivatives of photos are used in many ways outside of Aperture. For example, you can publish them in galleries on the Internet using other software besides Aperture. Say a friend asks for a full copy of a particular image that he or she saw I would like to find the original quickly. I can think of various work flows and file tagging schemes, but they all require a lot of work and a lot of organization. Writing the filename used upon import into Aperture automatically into the title tag of the EXIF would be of immense value to me and I believe a lot of other photographers.

Script for moving playhead to last frame, then exporting jpg?

I have a lot of Flash files for which I need to export jpgs of their last frame. Could a kind soul out there guide me on how to write a command for moving the timeline's playhead to the last frame, then exporting a jpg (at Full Document Size, 72 dpi, 96% quality)?

IPhoto: Export videos with titles

All of my videos are in iPhoto, and I've added titles to all of the videos within iPhoto.
However, when I EXPORT these videos to my desktop, iPhoto doesn't export them with the titles that I've assigned to them in iPhoto.
iPhoto exports them with their generic title (such as "img_0015.mov") that they originally had when I first shot the videos.
How can I get iPhoto to export all of these videos with their titles intact?
