Exporting Linked Video in CS3

I had been using MX 2004 but recently updated to Flash CS3.
I've got file that i created with 2004 but am now using in CS3. I
originally used linked videos in the file because the embedded ones
looked like crap. When i exported in with Quicktime in the old
version it worked fine. But CS3 apparently does not work fine. I've
tried everything I can think of but i simply can not get the linked
videos to display properly in Quicktime. It is a very simple Flash
document that has a single direction timeline and only a couple
layers at a time. I'd really not like to redo this entire video, is
there any one out there who can help?

I'm having the same problems. Did you find a fix?
Thanks,
T.

  • Error when exporting HD video in CS3

I need help figuring out why I get errors each time I try to export my video in Premiere Pro CS3. It worked a few days ago for my rough cut, but now is not working for my fine cut.
I wonder if it is simply because of my machine's capabilities in working with HD. I'm editing on a Macbook Pro, OS X (10.5.8), 2.5 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM. I want to exporting my 3:45 clip using Quicktime, H.264 as the codec and resolution at 1280x720, square pixels.
I've tried changing the settings in various ways but each time get an "unknown error." I've also had this error: "Out of memory. To maximize available memory, set the rendering optimization preferences to 'memory.'" Alas, I changed this setting, but even after closing & re-opening the project, still got this error... Strange?
I have come as far as getting a minute's worth of the video exported. Another problem I see is that the video seems to skip over some of the stills I have in the sequence. Does this mean I would want to use the Animation codec?
Any help is much appreciated! I have yet to try exporting via the Media Encoder, I plan to do this asap.
    Thanks.

If you're using only a single internal drive, try exporting to an external drive, especially if the one drive you have is full or nearly so.

I am exporting my project from CS3 to Encore.  The message tells me my video file exceeds the capacity of the disc.  Any help?  In fact I have adjusted the bitrate to 4478 MB and it let me pass,  But when it goes to ENcore the message says the file exceeds 4.7 GB.  I chacked up it is true the M2V files is over 5 GB.  Why is it?  Anyone can help?  Thanks a lot!

    Hmm... let's see here...
The Semi has taller tires, but the Ferrari has wider tires
The Semi has 18 gear speeds, the Ferrari has a 6 speed transmission
The Semi and the Ferrari both have a supercharger
The Semi runs Diesel, the Ferrari runs high octane gasoline
The Semi driver is about 6 feet above the roadway, the Ferrari driver about 6 inches
The Semi driver has a CB, the Ferrari has a stereo with 12 speakers
I think this deserves a bit more study...

  • Embedding (not linking) videos in keynote, Then exporting as Powerpoint (mostly PC users) so they can use from a jumpdrive without needing internet connection.  Instructions/tips on how to accomplish This?

I'd love your advice/guidance!!  I need to embed (not link) videos in a Powerpoint doc so that anyone (mostly PC users)can open and use from a jumpdrive without needing internet connection. I was considering using keynote and exporting as a PPT.
Or is there a way to do this in a newer version of Powerpoint? (i'd rather stick with keynote) what would that be the best option?
Any Instructions/tips on how to accomplish this? Thank you in advance for taking the time!

  • I need Help with the dynamic link feature in CS3

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having? I have the adobe cs3 master collection. Having watched tutorials on the dynamic link feature my version seems not to have the same options as those I have viewed. I wish to send my premiere video creation to encore using dynamic link, however when I click "file" and then "adobe dynamic link" the only options available are about "adobe after effects". I can export to encore however I am only alloowed to export one premiere sequence to one new encore file, I cannot create an encore file and import several premiere sequence into the same encore project. That means currently I can only have an encore creation with one premiere sequence in it, and I have no adobe dynamic link. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for that guys but my premiere media encoder only lets me export as: MPEG1, MPEG1-VCD, MPEG2, MPEG2 blu-ray, MPEG2-DVD, MPEG2-SVCD, H.264, H.264 blu-ray, Adobe Flash Video, Quicktime, Real Media, Windows Media. Are any of these formats DV AVI?
Am I to export my videos direct to encore or save them elsewhere (e.g desktop). It seems that I cannot export sequences from different premiere projects to the same encore project.
Sorry if any of these questions seem obvious, I am just new to premiere and keen to do things right from the off.
    Many thanks again guys.

Harm is correct.  For SD DVD, exporting as a DV AVI file from Pr will give you good results.  Encore's Automatic Transcoding will give you maximum quality for the available disc space.

  • Linking Video in Indesign CS5.5

    Hello,
I'm getting an error message of "The URL must reference a file that is compliant with flash player when trying to incorporate a linked video into Indesign CS 5.5. Why am I getting this error message? I would like to export the file as an interactive pdf.
    Thanks.

So it sounds like you're trying to stream a video stored on a server, correct?
Here's the way the URL must be written:
"The URL must point to a file that ends in the appropriate file extension; for example, http://www.fakeURL.com/videos/Intro_Video.f4v for a file on a web server. Use rtmp:// in the URL for a video on the Flash Media Server or Flash Streaming Service."
This is from an article I wrote for InDesign Magazine on placing video into InDesign.

  • Is it possible to export a video from GarageBand to iMovie, Soundtrack or FinalCut?

Wondering if it's possible when you make a video/movie and you've saved it in GarageBand, to export the video to iMovie, Soundtrack of FinalCut?
    thanks,

First of all, you don't save a video in GarageBand.
You can import a vidoe file into a GarageBand Project
You can add music, sf, or anything else to that video
At the end you use the  "Export Audio to Movie" command.
THe result is a quicktime movie file (you can choose the format in a dialog window). That video file can be imported into any video editing software, including iMovie. There is no need to export it to iTunes.
If you have the video already in iMovie. then you cold export only the audio in GarageBand and import that audio file back into iMovie. Just make sure that they stay in sync.
    Hope that helps

  • When exporting many videos with Lightroom 5, the process hangs randomly and needs to be restarted.

When exporting few videos, the process hangs randomly. The processor performance is 0 % and the lightroom says it is working (actually it is not). I have to quit lightroom, kill all processes like amecommand.exe, Adobe Media Core, Adobe Dynamic Link Manager and restart the process. It stops randomly.
I am exporting ALL-I videos from Canon 5D mark  III, into H264, high quality.
PS: The same situation was with Lightroom 4.

  • Flash CS4: why movie clips are static when exporting to video formats ?

Does anyone know why the movie clips are non animated when I export my flash animation into a video format ?
Please see the next flash example I made: (4 KB)
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22717206/Flash/flash_movieclip.swf
And now see how it looks like once exported into video format: (160 KB)
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22717206/Flash/Video_movieclip.avi

You must need a suitable codec for that like DivX codec, it will also import the nested movieclip animations. otherwise  whatever you have on the main timeline is exported for avi. you will get the codec on the export settings for avi.

  • HELP!!!! Importing MPEG Video to CS3

Well I Can't import mpeg video to cs3 how can i format my video in order to import my video?
Every time i want to import video it says
    "File format not Supported"
A lil help will b great
    Thanks.....

Based on reading a LOT of problem reports, importing files from a DVD camcorder or other MPEG device, or Ripping DVD files rarely results in success in Premiere... do not be fooled by movie industry advertising into thinking that "DVD Quality Video" is suitable for EDITING... it is not... a DVD is designed to be for PLAYBACK only... and that includes trying to edit a Standard Def MPEG or VOB file!
You should also use WAV sound files, not the compressed MP3 format, To work with AC3 files in Premiere, it MAY work to copy the ad2ac3dec.dll file from the Encore DVD directory into the Premiere directory
Go to my notes page http://www.pacifier.com/~jtsmith/ADOBE.HTM
Click the internal link for editing compressed files... read
There are other products better suited to your task... but if you only have DVD type files, you should convert to DV AVI... go to the VideoHelp link in my notes and look for a program to convert... but do be aware that converting from a HIGHLY compressed viewing format back to an editing format is going to cause a drop in quality
The only SD (Standard Def) files that Premiere really likes are DV AVI type 2

  • Tons of problems while exporting - small video, squished video, flashing titles? AHHH!

Hi everyone. I'm running into some serious frustration trying to export a video with the intention of either putting it on YouTube or Vimeo. I have tried so many different compression and format settings, only to run into different problems with each combination I use. Sometimes I'll get horizontally squished video (this happens any time I try to export in 16:9 widescreen), other times I'll get titles that flash super quickly (this happens when I try to export as a QuickTime file), sometimes I'll get proportional video that ends up being small.
Basically, I'm working with Adobe Premiere Pro - yes, the original. I haven't been able to afford the upgrade, unfortunately. That said, I'm working in a 48 kHz widescreen mode. In my closest attempt, the clips in the video that were not altered by either effects or titles are totally the way that I want them to appear (in the video I have linked, the clips of the two guys starting at 0:24 is what I want). In addition however, all of the clips that do have either titles or effects on them are shrunk - you'll see it. What's the deal!? How can I just export this damn video so that the entire thing looks the way that those full-screen clips do?
Here's the video of my closest attempt so far:

  • I am trying to export a video I have made in FCP 10.0.8 to Youtube or to a master file and I keep on getting an error -50, or "error exporting master file at frame 20074" Any ideas?

Having used FCExpress for a while I decided to give FC Pro X a trial, I created my first video with it, exported to youtube and it worked fine.  I am now trying to export my second video to youtube and I get an error -50 which means absolutely nothing.  Not being defeated that easy I tried exporting to a mster file using the H.264 codec and I get an error "exporting master file at frame 20074" - again another useless error.  It takes at least 10 minutes to get to this error after the rendering has started, it gets about 12% in.  Any ideas where to start - I am seriously at the point of giving up with Final Cut Pro X simply on the basis of it being more trouble than its worth - I am just glad I did not pay for it yet...
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Gerry

    Hi Russ,
Thanks for your response. I am not an experienced user of FC or other video editing software but if its that hit and miss I think I will go to the trouble of finding some better software - I have a busy enough life as is, I don;t want to get into second guessing what a software problem might be!
I have just successfully exported my video to a master file using one of the Apple codec options so it looks like it could be to do with the H.264 codec.  I am wondering if Apples Compressor software would solve this problem - the only way to try this it to buy it, there is not trial for the compressor app.  Any ideas?
    Thanks
