Exporting Low resolution 320 X 240 videos for my website

I am mystified by Premiere Elements 11. I want to create a 2..5 min video (e.g. mp4)  that is 320 X 240 with bitrate set low enough to keep the file size under 20megs. There is NO options in the pubish drop down to adjust the final dimensions of the video, the bitrate etc. All options regarding these are greyed out (I picked the mpeg format). I can't get a video in ANY format  that conforms to the desired dimensions and size;    I have no good options to adjust the quality of the video to make it good enough for the website and not gigantic. I have used Ctberlink PowerDirector 11 recently and those options are readily available in that application.
Most of my videos are going to be for the web. The way premiere elements 11 works now, it's going ot be useless for my purpose.
Am I missing some way to accomplish my objective, or is the program pretty limited in the ability to customize the outputted video?
Thanks. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Chick

As I show you in my books, it's easy to output custom videos for your web site. You say want an MP4?
Go to Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD. Select the the Preset for Vimeo SD.
Then click the Advanced button. On the Export Settings screen that opens, go to the Video tab. Set the output size to 320x240, then click OK.
You'll be prompted to save this as a "permanent" preset so you can use it again. Type in a name like "Web site video" and you're done.

  • Exporting low resolution of RAW timeline for review

    Hi
I really like working with RED RAW files in Premiere CC. Successfully completed a 60 minute video, exported multiple versions and delivered.
It has worked out quite well despite a few crash glitches here and there. Worked through those with the help of this valuble Adobe community.
I'd like to know how to export out a rough, low-resolution review file of my un-rendered RED RAW timeline for client's review? There isn't much point spending 5 hours rendering and exporting a high resolution file, only to reduce it down to an iPod quality so the client can easily download for review and suggest modifications.
Is it even possible to output without rendering, and if yes, how?
Any feedback shall be much appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hello,
"I'd like to know how to export out a rough, low-resolution review file of my un-rendered RED RAW timeline for client's review?"
Open up the export dialog by hitting Ctrl+M while your timeline is open.  A good place to start for low file sizes is choosing the H.264 option.  Afterward, you can scroll through the presets until you find options for small devices such as iPod.
Don't select 'Use Maximum Render Quality' as that will certainly not be necessary in your case and may just add time to the export.
"Is it even possible to output without rendering, and if yes, how?"
If there is a red bar in your timeline, you can choose to render the indicated items prior to exporting.  If you do render them, you can check the box 'Use Previews' during the export dialog, and that will save the respective time from the export.
But either way, your computer will need to process those items at some point before outputting a file.

  • Need advice/guidance on how to export .FLV videos for my website.

    Can anyone help me?
I am trying to embbed a .swf/.flv video into my website,
using dreamweaver and flash cs4. But when i do so, and i load the
video, the .FLV playback componet wont load or the browser dosent
even try to load the data at all, it just plays the video. So users
cant mute, have volum control, pause, stop or anything. Can someone
please help me? i looked all over the net for 2 days and cant find
a single turtorial or anything. I know alot of website use .FLV but
how? and how do you export it?

You need three parts for the flv playback: the swf, the flv,
and the video player skin swf. If you create the flv from your
Flash movie by importing the original video, Flash should make all
of those parts for you. Upload each of these files to your server
and the file should play as expected.
Can you describe in more detail what you are doing that may
    be different?

  • What is the best way to create videos for my website?

    Hi,
I'm a public speaking coach in Sydeny Australia.  I've started a blog and want to include videos to my newsletter subscribers.  I do not want to use YouTube, because I want to only share these videos to people on my list.
What is the best way / program to create good videos for my customers?  I think I might need to upload these videos to my server and only share the links...?  Any suggestions welcome.
    Thank you

    Trevor:
This may be more information than you asked for, but here goes:
Get a Samsung S10 Video camera (under $400) and a Zoom H4n Professional audio recorder.  Get Adobe Production Premium CS5. The camera shoots 1920 x 1080 square pixel in a better quality than a $6000 Panasonic P2 from 4 years ago. The downside, the audio from the Samsung is poor. That's why I recommend the Zoom H4n. On the Premiere timeline, you simply align the waveform of the video with the higher quality wave from the H4n. You can buy a medium sized fold up greenscreen and place any background behind your talent.  CS5 has Ultra built in, so you can easily key out the green right on the Premiere timeline revealing a nice background of your choice.
I would design a web page based upon your current website's look and feel that will be a template for your videos. You export your finished video from the Premiere timeline as an f4v. I would recommend 16x9 widescreen and use the Flash preset of "Web Large Widescreen". You can also specify a "Fullscreen" button on the video's controller. The quality is so good that the video will look good even when your client watches it full screen. You import the video into Flash CS5 using the same document dimensions as your video size.  You create a Flash template and "Publish" your Flash movie TO your template. Then all that is necessary is to upload all of the associated Web ready files to your server via FTP or Dreamweaver. This workflow streamlines the process and saves hours of fiddling around.
As far as the Web page goes that has your video, give the pages an HTML name like; vid0096hvc.html and use the Robots No Follow tag:
    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">
This is the next best thing to having a client log-in and works in a setting where people aren't paying
to see the video, but you still don't want them plastered all over the internet.

  • Quicktime Video for my website like it's on Apple's website

How do I manage to get a Quicktime video on my website with the following features?
The video should play without the old grey Quicktime window frame!
The controlbar should disappear, when the cursor is not in the video window.
Just like the videos on the Apple's website, for example:
    http://www.apple.com/ipad/#video

You have the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.
Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see the following for how to turn off via iTunes:

  • IDVD exporting low resolution

I made 5 slideshows on iMovie and exported them HD quality, and they look great on my iMac.
I put them on a basic iDVD menu and burnt them onto a DVD (burnt 3 seperate disks as best performance, high quality AND professional quality) and the entire thing looks pixely and unprofessional.
It's not only my slideshows, the menu is blurry also! How do I fix this? These are for a wedding client and I would hate to have to give them this low quality DVD.
    Suggestions?
    Thank You!

    Hi
There are many things to this.
    • Your Mac is capable to show much higher quality than what anyone with any program can put on a playable DVD - AS DVD is a standard limited to SD-Video - There are no HD DVD at all (only a short time in history and to be played on a few very rare Toshiba HD-DVD players)
    • Then when understanding what's possibly with DVD - One can get better or worse of this too.
To get an as bad result possibly (who wouldn't like this) one Use - iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 as they only deliver every second line over to iDVD (called interlaced video - as what's on a DVD) and to make this even more worse one selects to do this Export by using "Share to iDVD" within iMovie - as iMovie now will render it and does this SO BAD.
To get an as good result possibly with DVD I do
    • Use a video-editor that Export 100% of the interlaced material to iDVD as iMovie up to HD6 or any version of FinalCut (or FotoMagco™ - for SlideShows)
    • I DO - Share to Media Browser and as Large (not HD) - If I have to use iMovie 08 to 11 - as this give a better resul. In iMovie up to HD6 I just import the movie project from within iDVD - now iDVD will render and so much better.
    • I use High quality DVDs - only Verbatim (Never ever Memorex or alike)
    • I use DVD-R
    • I set down burn speed in iDVD/Preferences/Advance to x4 - as these DVDs plays so much better on many more devices.
    • I secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-Up Hard disk - No other hard disk can be addressed to keep this space for iDVD and Mac OS temp.files
If You need better than SD-DVD quality then You need to look into
    • Blu-Ray (Roxio Toast™ 11 Pro incl BD-component, BD-burner, BD-disks AND Blu-Ray Player)
    • Save the pictures as they are eg .jpg in a folder and on a DVD and play them via a PC/Mac and a SlideShow program as iPhoto, PowerPoint etc.
    Good Luck !
    Yours Bengt W

  • Images ocasionally exporting low resolution without warning

When we export a book as jpegs we find that occasionally they will export pixelated, as if its exporting just the indesign preview image.
All the links are linked and updated and we receive no warnings when this happens. It will happen at random and we may get an image export fine first time and then pixelated on the next export.
Here are some close up comparisons from the background of one of these exports.

When all export settings are right,
you should check if all links in the Link Panel (Window > Link) are up to date.

  • Export collection as jpeg produces wrong format for Clikpic website

Lightroom 1.3.1, high spec pc, Windows XP, ACD,etc. I have a website with "Clikpic". Before starting with L/R I had a Photoshop action to save for web at 600x600@72dpi etc, images from which then upload fine into Clikpik. I thought I would use the L/R "Collection" option to select some images from a recent trip, then use the "Export" option to save in the required Clikpic format - if I use that and then try to upload, I get error message "CF_IMAGE INFO:Format Not Recognised". I then went back to my own old Photoshop Action to do the same thing with the same image and that one uploads fine. Both images come out around 60Kb. What is wrong with the Lightroom process? Has anyone else had this problem? I have posted the query to Clikpik support too.

One difference between LR export and PS save-for-web is that LR will imbed the image's metadata in the JPG and SFW only maintains copyright info (in PS3) or nothing (prior versions). So could Clikpic be seeing some metadata in the LR export that it doesn't like?

  • Best view for Video for 5800

Kindly let me know in which resolution should i convert video for Nokia 5800 so that it can be viewed perfectly.
    e.g.: 320 x 240, 320 x 480, 320 x 200, 240 x 180.
Also audio quality in what Kbps ? shouls i keep while converting.
I had converted 1 video it seems video is stretch.

The 5800 records video in VGA 640x480, so that ought to be your benchmark. The 5800 screen is 640x360 pixels in landscape mode, effectively therefore widescreen, but when I tested this model I had no issue watching videos that I had converted to MP4 using WinAVI so the screen should not be causing the distortion.
I'm not a video expert and I have my software on standard settings so I can't offer much further advice on conversion configuration.

  • What resolution on camera shooting videos 1920-1280 or 640?

What resolution should I shoot movies for editing in imovie?
    Full HD 1920 X 1020
    HD1280 X 720
    640 X 480
    Which is best?

If you want best quality and will be showing the movie from a computer file onto a computer monitor or HD television or burn to blueray and don't mind very large files then shoot full HD (should be 1920 x 1080  =  1080p). You can always export lower-resolution versions if you need them.
If you never want to show full HD then  HD (720p) - still pretty good on an HD TV .
640 x 480 is about the same as a standard TV.  I wouldn't use that unless you are more interested in having the smallest file size and showing on low-resolution devices - old TV, old phone or tablet or on line.  Also for burning to DVD.
I'd advise shooting in the best quality to avoid later regrets that you didn't!  (Before too long 4K will become the new HD and Full HD will seem pretty mediocre).
    Geoff.

  • Low resolution warning on pics

Hi. I'm new to this iPhoto app and not very good or experienced with photos!! And I need help!!
I received a CD with some pics on whihc I saved to my desktop as .jpg images. I then imported them into iPhoto 6.0.5 and they appear fine. However, when I try to order these pics using iPhoto I get a warning with regard to the low resolution quality of the pics for every size except the 5 x 8cm one. Is there a way to overcome this as I would really like to print these pics? The pic is a 480 pixel by 720 pixel.
    Please help me!!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What print size did your friend print these to? For a 4 x 6 inch print your dpi would be around 120 dpi. That might give you a "fair" print. To see if the size you want in the book will be OK try printing it yourself at that size and see how it looks. However, it may not look quite as good in the book.
That size is pretty small. Ask your friend if he burned the full sized image file and not a reduced size.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Low resolution AirPlay when using MacBook Pro but high when using iPad

I have a very strange issue. When I use Airplay from my iPad the image on the television is very clear and sharp, looking like a great HD picture. Wen I stream from my MacBook Pro, or mirror the screen, to the Apple TV the image degrades to a choppy, low-resolution, muddy version that looks terrible! It's strange because I have not had this issue before.
Anyone have any ideas on what is going on with this? Again, the image from the iPad is fine, the image from the MacBook Pro is low-resolution. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
