Exporting m4a podcast - chapters and chapter images not in iTunes ... but they are there in Quicktime player?
I can see separators in the time line on the iPod when it is played but no change of chapter/marker image. Where do I go from here?
Being level 1 is so cool 'cos I can pretend to be stupid and nobody knows the difference

I probably did this wrong since i just started using Firefox, but i dragged a tab into the Tab Groups button on my tool bar and lost all of the tabs when viewing on my laptop. When viewing on my smartphone can still view them in Firefox Home, please help.
The app tabs feature is still in a relatively early stage of development. The option to remember app tabs independently of sessions has not yet been implemented, but it will be part of the release version of Firefox 4.

I recently deleted many duplicate files. In the midst of it my Itunes songs are not in Itunes. They are in two different folders. One under 'Music' in my ID. And two under a MyMusic file in Documents. How do I know which one to import?
Thanks, this is not an ideal answer but probably the most sensible one in my case.
I will try it unless someone has a better suggestion, but I'll wait a bit as it will take me a few days anyway (I had actually tried to create a new smaller playlist or download by album, but at this stage the music app is not letting me queue a list of songs for download - I think I will have to disable and re-enable iTunes match which will probably delete all the songs).
I have to say I am not very impressed with Apple here - having an online backup of all your data and beeing able to restore it to a new device easily was a strong selling point of iCloud. For music, they are Definitly not delivering at the stage. -
istalling third party instruments.. i have tried to go to application support and putting them into the sampler but they are still not showing up.. can someone help me
Hi

If yes... the .exs Instrument files need to go in

Can I put the 2Gb RAM (X2) from my MacBook Pro into my MacBook? The intel is different (2Ghz not 2.3) and the speed is 2000 not 1333. But they are both DDR3.
I have just upgraded the Pro to 16Gb and the MacBook is SO slow. Just wondering if I could use the old RAM.Full specification of MB5.1 RAM;
204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM, non-ECC (non parity), unbuffered.
MBP8.1, 8.2 or 8.3;
204-pin PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM, non-ECC (non parity), unbuffered.
PC3 is the same as DDR3. the number is peak transfer rate (approximated).
Further reading suggests your swap may work, but it's not guaranteed. If you get 3 beeps on start up (or the sleep light flashing in bursts of 3), first check it's correctly seated, but be prepared to swap them back.
If you encounter any instability or kernel panics, change them back. -
Question
My iGoogle homepage is not showing any gadgets but they are there in IE. If I restart with AddOns disabled they are shown. I have disabled all AddOns separately and it has made no difference.Any ideas?I found that the culprit was Adblockplus. To solve it : ABP>drop down menu>Report issue on this page>click bullet blocking too much and follow steps.

My iTouch will not show movies, but they are showing on my iTunes. When I try and play them through my iTunes it freezes on me and does not work. This problem only occurs whenever I am using my netbook. It doesn't happen when I use a different computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes and am not sure what else to do from here.
You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.
The following article(s) may help you.

I had my vaio serviced and now I have had to download itunes again. After having done so, I no longer am able to see my old playlists on itunes though they are there on my phone.
I would like to view my old playlists & add new music on them. I keep my phone pretty organised & now to not see the music & playlists I already have on there on itunes is irritating me.
My first time here on the Support Communities.. I hope I am able to find my way around.

The artist names are correct in itunes but they are not appearing on iphone4
The artists names are appaering in iTunes but they are not appearing on my iPhone
Just right click the song and select "Get Info". Under "Info" tab, in the "Album Artist" part, make sure it is the name of the artist you want. Also works when selecting multiple songs if all the same artist.

Embed fonts not available error (But they are available sysetm fonts)
Hello!
I tried to search and actually did found some answers regarding font problems, but they did not help. So I am explaining here my problem in hope that someone can help me.
My company bought a HP Xeon X3450 @ 2.8Ghz. @Gb RAM DD3 1333 with Windows 7 64-Bits version Professional.
We installed Adobe CS3 Suite on Windows 7 64-Bits version and the problems with fonts started.
We used to work with XP Professional before this new machine arrived and never had system fonts propblems with Adobe CS3 Suite.
Basically, what happens is:
When I try to open PDF files with embed fonts (system fonts susch as ARIAL for example) the program returns an error saying that the fonts are not installed/available, but checking the C:\windows\fonts, they are there and working fine on Office or other common application such as notepad for example.
I tried the workaround I found on these very forums of copying the fonts to the folder C:\Program Fils\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts and it still does not work.
Formated the HD and then installed Windows 7 32 bits (x86) and still have the same problems. All updates were made and applied to Adobe and Windows respectively for both 64 and 32 versions and the error still happens.
In resume, fonts are installed, they are system fonts but under Windows 7 64 or 32 bits versions they simply do not work when opening the PDF files with embed fonts.
-The PDFs had no problems before while running windows XP Professional.
-The PDFs open whithout any problems on machines with Windows Xp Professional.
-This is happening specifically in Adobe Illustrator CS3 and CS5 and Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 and 9.
Please, I urge for help since we don't know what to do anymore.
Thank you all who took time to read this and forgive my terrible english, it is not my first language.
Best regards,

What I believe you have is 2 different versions of Arial, you old machine probably contains the version you need.
By old version, I mean one could by true type(XP), and another Opentype (WIn 7), and the error comes up. Even though they have they same name (Eg: Arial Bold).
There are even old version of fonts that are both of the same font technology format and have different FOND ID numbers(Eg: Frutiger was one that I often encountered, but you don't see this problem that much nowadays). -
Configure not finding dependencies but they are installed!
Hi, I was just trying to install pychosynth from AUR via yaourt, but configure just keeps complaining about SoundTouch and Liblo not being installed, however they are.
I tried to fix it by downloading Debian's Lenny libSoundTouch .deb file and then extracting the libs and links to /usr/lib but there was no luck anyways.

Have you got any ideas of what went wrong?

I recently imported a set of images into a project in Aperture 3. The item count in the project shows as 550, but when I click on it, only 368 images are displayed. Huh?
If I use the "In the Last Week" Smart Album, I see the images there. Aperture won't let me drag them into the project I want them in, so I know they are there.
Why doesn't Aperture show me the latest images in the project? So, turns out that there was indeed a filter applied. Nothing was typed into the search field in the upper left of the image list, but there were two small icons there, one looked like a pushpin and the other I couldn't identify. No idea how they got there, but once I clicked the "X" to clear the search box, all of the images were displayed. Strange, since I don't remember doing anything to set up a filter.
Thanks for your help, everyone! -
Setting up different computer since lightning strike took out my ethernet (but not much else). Using Mint Linux 13. New setup on this computer with all the latest updates including Thunderbird 31.
Have imported my old addresses that I've been sending to for years but this new t-bird will not allow some emails saying they are not proper sytax when they are. Nothing has changed on the addresses, just Thunderbird has changed. Because of these few it refuses, it won't sent ANY emails now except for replies. Replies using the very same addresses go through with no problem. Lately it finds just one address it refuses but when I take that one out (have to start over now - won't allow me to delete) then it comes up with a whole other list and DOES NOT SEND ANYTHING. This is damned frustrating, to be frank. What is the exact error message?

I have both my iPhone and iPad backing up via iCloud but the data is not being shared between the devices. When I backup it appears to be working as there are no error messages but the data is not shared between each. Any help would be great as this is very frustrating.
Backing up to icloud is not the same as syncing data between devices. Go to
Settings>Store. Turn on the automatic downloads that you want on that screen.
Settings>iCloud. Turn on the features you want to sync between devices.
