Exporting merged audio tracks to audition problem

Hello,
I recently started to work with the Adobe suit so i am not yet used to the workflow. We are serval people working on the post production of a short movie filmed with a red SCARLET in raw which means that the files are pretty big. The audio where captured in serval tracks who all have been merged with the video clips. The clips have thereafter been cut and placed in its right place. So now it is my job to work with the sound design. I have tryd to export the audio in both AAF and OMF and every time i open it up in Audition it sais that the media is offline. On my computer all i have is the orgininal Audio files. Is there anyway to get only the audio (all the tracks) to Audition, without having them searching for the merged files. For example creating new Audio from the cutted tracks?

Have you tried this?

  • How can I export an audio track with just the effect signal without the audio?

I want to export dry audio tracks and their effects signals as separate tracks. For instance a track with a reverbed snare would be one track with the dry snare and one with just the reverb.
I know from people who use Reason that it's just a box you need to tick, but I'm struggling to find out how to do it in Logic. Surely it must be a way?

I don't remember Reason being that straight forward, but the obvious way to go, is to mute all sends and bounce.
Then solo the reverb channel, in aux, checking it isn't shared by other sources, and bounce. You should have a dry and a reverbed signal, at your convenience.

  • Merge audio tracks in QT Pro?

I have a .mov file (created by capturing video in quicktime pro with a video camera attached by firewire) which has somehow ended up with multiple audio tracks, all starting at different points. (How that happened is a complete mystery to me, but is kind of beside the point right now, though I wouldn't mind knowing that too). Each audio track seems to pick up where the last left off (as in, if you delete one, there is no longer sound for a certain portion of the video). I need to merge these tracks into one audio track, because Final Cut Express HD is giving me errors when I try to import these many-track files. I know I could solve it by just using export or save as..., but I'm really trying to avoid that if possible because I have about 20 clips like this, some as long as 5 hours, and that would take a ton of time and effort.
So, is there any way to just merge the audio tracks into one track, without doing an export?
    Thanks!

is there a way to have alll 6 open and then combine or merge them into one file that I can play on ATV?
for this strategy, I would normally use the free MPEG Streamclip application. To begin, ensure the files are named alpha-numerically in the order in which you want them merged. Then open the MPEG Streamclip application and either "drag 'n drop" all six files to the work area or use the "Open Files..." File menu option to simultaneously select/open all six files. Lastly, export the merged file to the TV preset at the correct aspect ratio/dimensions and/or custom settings desired.
I have done the above but have a audio out of sync problem with it.
You could try pre-converting all AVI files to a common compression format like DV with the "Resample Audio to 48 Khz" and see if this prevents drift during the "merging" and final conversion process.

  • How do I merge audio tracks in Premiere?

So I recorded some gameplay using MSI Afterburner (x264 codec) and had it split my mic audio from the game audio as a separate audio track, to prevent the game audio from being muted whenever I talk. I used handbrake to transcode the avi to m4v, and the clip works in AE/premiere. When I load it in VLC, I can confirm that there are two audio tracks. My question is, where is the section in premiere that shows the audio tracks, and how would I merge them into one track?

If you have a clean signal on one channel, and the other is empty, you can use the Audio Effect>Fill Left, or Fill Right, to get back to two channel. Note, this will be 2-channel mono, and not true stereo, but will sound very similar, just without the separation.
Now, if you have one clean channel, but a problem with the other (bad Audio), I'd take the Audio portion of your File into an Audio editor, like Audacity, and strip out the bad channel, then just duplicate the good channel to replace it. That is basically what Fill-Left, etc. does, but if you have bad Audio, you will want to clean that out first.
    Good luck,

  • Exporting mono audio tracks as mono audio tracks with video tracks

    hello,
i'm working with dv pal 48 khz digitized files.  when i import the files into fcp7, i have a video track and 4 different mono audio tracks.  my plan is to modify each individual mono track, after exporting each as aif, editing them, and then importing them back as aif.  the problem is that when i've built a sequence with 1 video track and 4 different mono audio tracks, there doesn't seem to be a way to end up with 4 different mono audio tracks like the original, it appears that the only option is to end up with 2 stereo tracks.  can someone help me with this, which i'm sure is a very odd problem?
    kind regards,
    charlie

If you are editing the audio with Soundtrack Pro you can use the "send to" command. It will send your project as a multi-track file so that each track can be editited independently or you can add elements to all four.
If you have Logic, add it to the "external audio editors" list and you can use it in the same way as STP.

  • How do you export separate audio tracks for Pro Tools?

I need to give separate audio tracks to my sound mixer but am confused on how to do so in FCP X.
    So far I've:
Set the dialogue roles and stems for each character
Then I went into Master File>Settings
    Selected:
    "Format: Audio Only"
    "Audio File Format: Wav File"
"Roles as: Audio only as separate files"
    "Dialogue"
    Sara
    "Stereo"
And when I export and listen back to the wav file, there is either no audio or I hear select dialogue.
The only thing I can think of that I am doing wrong, is that each characters dialogue is not on the same track like the picture below. The tracks highlighted is of one character's dialogue that I am trying to export onto one linear track to export into Pro Tools.
Can tracks be assigned in FCP X? Or is there a crucial step that I am forgetting tthat explains why the audio for each character is not being exported.
    Thanks!

If you're dumping audio for ProTools, you should be able to export XML for use in PT. Haven't done it myself, but the option's been there for a while now. You should be able to find instructions easily.
If you want to stick with making Roles work, I suggest making sure the roles are assigned properly to each clip. Kind of a super pain in the neck, to go one by one, but ... that's the way. There are key commands for the three default roles, but if you've created custom ones then it's more time consuming. Is that 'Sara' one a custom Role that you've created?
My only thought is you have compound audio clips there. Maybe go in and set the roles on the individual files inside the compound clips. Dunno...
The visual organization shouldn't matter (one track above another). That's the X way.
((In your picture, you say you have some files selected. When I select, I get a yellow border; yours are light green and dark green. What is that?))

  • Export from audio track to burn a CD

    Hello everyone
I am trying to export only audio from sequence, so i can burn a music CD
I exported audio to aiff option
then took the aiff file and burned, but its not playing on cd player
i chose the export aiff- mix , still did not play
    can anyone help
    thanks
    Danny

is the sample rate 44.1 (not 48k)
can you open the track in itunes? (from the CD) then the tracks OK but burned wrong.
did you burn an audio CD? (as opposed to a data CD).
Many boom boxes work best with the type of CD labeled "Audio" (as opposed to the type of cd you burn data or audio).
maybe post in a different forum?

    G4 Powerbook; Sony 1500A   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

If you're just trying to export each track to it's
own individual file, here's how to do it:
Go to your Sequence Settings>Audio Outputs
Set the Audio Outputs to the same number as you have
audio tracks (8 tracks, 8 outputs).
Set them to Dual Mono (not stereo).
Save settings, go back to your sequence.
Control Click in the track target area of each
individual audio track. The top item in the
contextual menu is Audio Output. Set each track to
    it's own output.
    File>Export>Audio to AIFF
    Select Channel Grouped
Now you'll get an AIFF for each track in your
    sequence.
Thanks. Is there a way to export a audio/video Quicktime with mono tracks 1 & 2?

  • Exporting multiple audio tracks with XDCAM

    Hi folks,
I have Premiere Pro CC 7.2.2 on PC and I'm trying to export a 2K TV show which has six audio tracks (4 stereo & 2 mono), which hold full mix minus narration, dialogue etc.
I'm exporting from PP as an XDCAM (50) within an MXF wrapper, and the export appears to run ok. However the post house who are receiving the file, (within FCP) say that the first four tracks are all the same and the last two (mono) tracks are mute. This has been verified on two separate computers (Macs).
I spoke with Adobe Support, but they couldn't add anything, I'm wondering if anyone else has sen this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    Ken

I don't believe you can export mixed channel types.  You can choose mono, stereo or 5.1, but not any kind of combination.  So the export might not be exactly what you think it is.
The newest update about to come out should add some of this functionality.

  • Export mulitple audio tracks

How can I export at least 6 audio track in a prores file (I have a codec) from premiere pro 2014 ?
    Thank you for help

i'm exporting for the sound person who has Pro Tools. I do not have a program that reads omf files. i noticed as i watched FC export the file it was calculating the timecode of each piece of sound, but i don't know if that was transfered to the omf file. i won't be able to tell if it worked till i get it to the sound studio. i don't really know which timecode preference is better, sequence or masterclip. hummmmm. does it really matter? what would be the difference?
i'll know if the file copied the tracks individually once i get to the sound studio. if not, i will go back and export each track seperately as you suggested.
    will keep you posted.
    thanks for you help

  • Media Encoder CS6 Not Exporting all Audio Tracks From Premiere

I'm working with DSLR footage, 2 Channels of .WAV audio from an exernal recorder (H4N), and a 1 channel .WAV Music track. 3 Channels total of .Wav audio.
I can export from Premiere Pro CS6 to H.264 just fine, but if I try to send it to Media Encoder, it only track 3, which has the music.
I can't figure out this issue, and haven't found an answer on any forums. This problem effectively makes Media Encoder useless to me, so I would prefer it to be solved, rather than find a work around.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm having the same problem. But even worst.
For the test, I take a 10 min .mov or mp4 file, simply modify the "scale", and hit the export.
a 10 min file is taking 4 hours to render.
    This is on a:
    2012 MacBookPro i7 2.3Ghz, 16 GB 1600 DDR3, SSD disk. - Mac OSX 10.7.5
    and a:
    2011 iMac i7 3.7Ghz, 16 GB 1333 Mhz, 7200 RPM HD - Mac OSX 10.7.5
The CPU stays at 90% idle the whole time.
I know this is an old thread, but maybe someone could give me a hand.
