Exporting Notes field from MS Project to Excel

I have some rather large notes fields in my MS Project file (Project 2003) and when I attempt to export them using the standard utility they are truncated to the first line. I believe there may be a utility (macro) that someone had written that could help
me correct this? I believe I saw this on an older post and I'm not sure it's still being monitored, so I am creating a new thread just in case.

Update: Leo did contact me but for future reference for other user who may read this thread, if you are attempting to export the full text formatting (RTF), that may have applied to the Notes field text, VBA will NOT capture and export the formatting.

We have changed the below profile option to get the data in excel by default
Profile Name Export MIME type
Profile Code FND_EXPORT_MIME_TYPE+
Existing Value: text/tab-separated-values+
Change as: Excel

Exports a hierarchy from the web to Excel

Hi Experts
When the user exports a hierarchy from the web to Excel, it prompts the user for their password as the excel session opens. If they donu2019t enter it u2013 it constantly prompts for a password when the excel file is used.
Anyone got the same issue? or anyway I can get over this?

Not possible - at the present time anyway.
If you want such a photo available for viewing on your iPhone, you need to download/save the photo on your computer - used for syncing/transferring data from your computer to the iPhone, and transfer this photo from your computer to your iPhone - the same for any photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone.

I cannot dowload all fields from ALV list to Excel - urgent, please help me

I developed a report and displayed in ALV list using FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'.The list contains 200 fields.But when i am trying to download in EXCEL file from ALV list, it is unable to download all the fields from ALV list into EXCEL.

is your list having packed decimals or any fields which are of large length (around 128 char)?

You can uncheck songs in the Library and there is an option for your iPod to ignore them. Connect your iPod, go to Preferences>iPod>Music, tick the radio button "only update checked songs"

I am not seeing where you actually get the image from the db to Excel ...... all what you are doing is passing a file name, but did you already download the file to client machine? if so, consider giving full path instead of file name only !

Trying to Export the data from a webform into excel and unable do

when i try to export the dataform from the Planning web into excel, iam unable to export it iam able to export the member name but not the data values associated to it.
When i try to do the same by using the Mozilla, it works perfectly, iam unable to do it IE 6.

Exporting filterded data from a view to excel

I have a requirement, where i have to export data from a list to excel after applying some filter to it.
Say i filter the view by selecting employee dept="Teaching", now i want to export only the filtered rows to excel.
Is there any way to achieve this.

You can create a view with required filters. Then you can export to excel after switching on to filtered view.Refer following link to create filtered view.

MIGO_GR fill delivery note field from manual entry in bill of lading

I have to fill header field delivery note from manual entry in bill of lading in tcode MIGO_GR for mopvement type 101.
I searched for the exits and BADI's but header fields are not in changing parameters.
Has anybody worked on automatically filling the delivery note field in MIGO_GR transaction from bill of lading field or a value from database?

Why does text formatting not copy from RH project to RH project?

In RoboHelp 9, I'm copying text, from one RoboHelp project to another. How come the text formatting is not retained? The indenting is off and the small Roman numerals and small letters are changed to bullets.

We are creating a project using an existing template project (our own defined). The business processes are copied but the configuration steps and documentation in configuration does not come in the new project (SOLAR02).
Could any one help.

Goto solar01 transaction here first choose the business scenario of ur template project which you have added in the structure tab on the right side you have something known as attribute column
Here choose the appropriate one for you
Global
A process is global when it is integrated throughout the enterprise, that is, it is cross-functional or cross-organizational. An element that is flagged as global cannot be changed in a Local Rollout, i.e. the structure element and all associated business content is pre-determined.
Standard Complete
A process is standardized if it must be executed in the same way in the entire enterprise (in all relevant organizational units). A standardized complete element (and its business content) can be seen as a proposition from the Global Template that should be used as delivered. However the local team may extend the structure element with additional substructures and with additional business content.
Standard Partial
A process is standardized if it must be executed in the same way in the entire enterprise (in all relevant organizational units). A standardized partial element (and its business content) can be seen as a proposition from the Global Template that should be used as delivered, but the process consist of sub-processes that are locally regulated by legal requirement and these need to be defined on a local level. The local team can design own process if agreed by the parent company. Therefore the local team may extend the structure element with additional substructures and with additional business content. Template business content may even be changed or deleted by the local team. Whenever a template object is deleted there is a warning message.
Harmonized
These Business Process, Master Data, Organizational Units will be standardized in the future. It is recommended that the Local Rollout uses the harmonized structure elements. One reason can be for organizational readiness or many legal requirements preventing standardization. For the local teaam the same activities are allowed/forbidden as for Standard Partial.

A process is local if it is not possible or it makes no sense to define it as global, standardized, or harmonized. Local units must design this process for their needs. These processes are necessary for obtaining an executable system for testing. For the local teaam the same activities are allowed/forbidden as for Standard Partial.
Note You can use the pass tab available next to +/- button which is used to pass this attribute which you have assign to the lower levels.

Print Preview and Export not working FROM ALV Report

I have this ALV report which is working fine. But when I try to do a print preview it doesn't show the columns which r sorted. The columns r there but the data starts from the one which is not sorted so the layout is all messed up. In the ALV report the columns that r sorted groups them into one, I mean they just show only one time rest of the row for the same thing is blank it doesn't repeat the same data in those column. I am not sure whether that's causing it or not.
Please help.

Hi Anwarul,
do not sort passing parameters for sorting. Create a layout (called ALV variant) or do the sorting online clicking columns(s) and sort icons. It will not change when displayed in print preview.
What function/object do you use?

Sorting a range in Excel (from MS Project) using VBA

I have a piece of code that exports data from MS Project to Excel and formats it in a particular way. It all works fine, however I now need to sort the data by a second key and I cant find the solution or work it out. Here is the piece of code
I need adding a second key to:
'Sort by Workstream Area

objRange.Sort Key1:=objRange.Parent.Range("A3")
I need to sort by Column A and then by Column D.
Any help/advice appredciated.

I have managed to sort my issue. I changed my code to:

Problem when exporting Query from Web template to Excel Sheet.

Im encoutering a problem when im trying to export query output from web template to excel sheet.
A popup windown appears when excel sheet opens which reads.."problem cameup in the following areas during load : Cell Value".The report layout appears to be fine but the totals shows unwanted values starting with * followed by number.
Any valuable inputs, what could be the problem. where can i rectify the same.

Thanks for ur time and response but the option u mentioned did not serve my purpose.
The problem seems to be only with pirticular cells.As mentioned earlier the layout appears properly..all the values are seen..but the end result..totals are disturbed.
eg: If the report shows in template the total value :20,668,554...when exported the values is shown as **668553.88000000600000.
So what could be the problem ? any template setting ? global setting to look at ?
