Exporting OMF files using Automatic Duck

So I downloaded the (now free) automatic duck Pro Export FCP in order to export an OMF from FCPX, and I have a couple questions....
First, has anyone here had any experience with using this method to export and work with OMF files? I know it's a fairly new addition to FCP X, but how well does it work? Many glitches? How well does automatic duck do at creating omfs? Was the transition to Pro Tools pretty seamless?
Second, I tried exporting an OMF of my sequence and about 3/4ths of the way through, automatic duck crashed and the file was corrupted as a result. I tried again two more times with the same result. Has anyone else encountered this? Any ideas of what could be causing the crash and how to fix it?

Automatic Duck no longer works at all with FCPX- I believe it broke several versions back. And since the developer was hired by Adobe it was abandoned. In order to get a mix into ProTools you'll need X2Pro:

Hi,
You can use something like
[b]login admin password on localhost;
[b]spool on to 'c:\temp\log.txt';
[b]export security_file to data_file C:\temp\sec_file.txt;
[b]spool off;
[b]logout;
Then you can have a batch file that just calls the maxl script
essmsh name_of_maxl_script.mxl
The batch script can then be scheduled.

Exporting omf file from FCPX

Any one know how to export omf with FCPX? have tried "automatic duck" but version 4.10 won't work with FCPX.

If you're going to DVD Studio Pro, it will need to transcode to mpeg-2 at some point. If you exported a referenced QT movie from FCP7 previously, then DVD Studio Pro was doing the transcoding for you.
In FCPX, I suggest exporting using Compressor 4. Apply the DVD preset (mpeg2 video and dolby digital audio) and you can also apply chapter markers within Compressor.
Import the 2 resulting files into DVD Studio Pro and no further transcoding (other than menus) will need to be performed when you burn the disc.

Exporting TIF files using 'Use artboards' feature

Currently, when using the 'Use artboards' feature to export multiple artboards, AI will do the following to determine individual file names:
Filename shows name of AI document then an underscore followed by the name of the artboard. Is there any way to change it somehow so that the underscore is a hyphen?
Example:
My AI document is simply called "z.ai". There are several artboards on the document with similar names such as "asda-ao" and "asdb-ao".
After exporting individual TIF files using the 'Use artboards' feature, the file names come out as follows: "z_asda-ao.tif" and "z_asdb-ao.tif".
I would rather the files be named "z-asda-ao.tif" and "z-asdb-ao.tif".
Is this possible without having to do it manually after the fact?

There are a lot of programs that do file renaming, one is Bridge. If you have it, select the files, choose Tools > Batch Rename, and for New File Names, choose String Substitution, and then use "Find" and "Replace With" fields.

EXPORT.XML file used during Java export?

Hi all !!!
I'm doing an export of a Solution Manager 7.01 system. This system also has a CPS (redwood) installation in thev database java schema.
What happened was that not all tables listed in the EXPORT.XML existed, so I got a failure.
I then "undeployed" CPS, and deleted all CPS files from the database (JCS_). However, when I restarted (or started from the beginning) I got the same error. The EXPORT.XML (in the export java directory) still have all the JCS_ tables listed.
This file is recreated during every restart, so I tested to create a script which override this file with one without the JCS_* tables all the time (more than 100 times a minute). But the export still has the JCS_* tables in the list during export.
So is the EXPORT.XML even used during export, or does it keep the values in memory already when the file is created.
And a second question is: From where does the input to the EXPORT.XML file come from? It's not from the database since there is not a trace of any JCS_* tables in the database however ju list information from the DB2 dictionary (DB2 9.5.2)
So can anyone tell me how to skip these tables from the export?

Issue with Exporting/Sharing File using expert settings

I have a two-part question.
First off, I am no 'expert', but to me the two best viewing options to save a movie that are 'standard' for quicktime are too disparate to work for me - the first option is too small (quality is too low) and the HD viewing option is too large (the file size is rediculous). I'm trying to save somewhere between these two sies/qualities. I'm attempting to do this by using the expert settings function.
The issue is this - after I set up the size and quality the compression does not even start. I am attempting to save to a folder other than the regular movie folder, but have not removed it or changed that folder at all. I have saved files using the standard setup included, but for some reason after changing the settings, the movie will not begin to save. Any thoughts on this?

Actually - upon further thought, I should mention that files I am playing with are quite large. The IMovie files is generally around 1-2 gigs.
So maybe the files are so large and its eatting too big a chunk of memory/space to complete the process this way? If so is there still some way to save a file using expert settings?

Exporting OMF files

I need to export the audio files to OMF, but the Express doesn't have this function. Any suggestions?

I just was searching for this today. I also have the same issue. I exported an OMF with separate audio, .wav from premiere and my Audio Engineer told me when he brought it in to protools he had to link them all. This was a standard sequence without any nested sequences. Actually I just tried to open the OMF in audition and it also says the files can't be found and I need to link them as well.

when executed through SSDT solution .But when i am using an SQL Agent job to pick up the file it doesnt get the path and agent job fails with the error "Failed to acquire connection".I have deployed the SSIS Package through SQL Server 2012 deployment
methodologies.
I am not able to trace the error of loading data from a sharepoint library.library. Sql agent jobs works fine when i give local path.The
account which is running the sql agent job is the same who has access to document library.I also tried to run the job through proxy account. I am using a xml configuraion to store my credentials.I am able to palce the same file to a network drive in the same
server through sql server agent job. The only problem is when I am trying to load the file to a sharepoint folder.

Is that the WebDAV method that you are suggesting here to map the n/w drive?
Its kind of webdav but you will be using windows nw drive to store data
yes, I am able to create the file to D: , but didn't check with the C:.
Try with c:, as c: require special permisssions
