Exporting Photo Taken from Contacts

I created a new contact and took a photo from within the contacts app. It didn't show up in the iPhone camera roll. How can I export this photo to iphoto?

As far as I know, you cannot.
Take the picture from the camera app, and you can assign the pic to a contact. This way it can be a contact and be in your camera roll so you can import.

  • How do I export photo's from one user acct. to another user acct

Trying to export photo's from one user acct. to another user acct. on same computer into second users Iphoto app.

File -> Export to the destop. Drag to Users/Shared Folder and then import from other account.
    Or use iPhoto Sharing:
For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.
    Regards

  • When I import photos taken from my Ipod Touch 4 to My Mac Desktop, I click delete photos on ipod, but they do not delete. Is the only way to delete them individually (I have 1,400 photos!) or is there a way to delete them all in one go?

I realise you can you can delete them on your ipod slowly as you have to click on each one, and you can restore your ipod, but surely there is a way to get around this?
    Software: 4.3.2

Thanks If anyone can help me.

Download/install an app is a know possible solution.
    3. Install another app from the App Store
If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.

  • Photos taken from iPhone appears upside down in windows explorer

Photos taken from my iPhone appears upside down in windows explorer....

Hi The problem I think ou are experiencing is because of the way you turn the phone to take pics. With the phone vertical (home button at the bottom) the pics you take will appear the right way up in all applications, the problem will occur when you hold the phone horizontally. If you hold the phone with the home button to the right the pics you take will appear the right way up in all applications, if you hold the phone with the home button to the left the pics will appear the right way up in the camera roll and some other apps that understand the iphone camera rotation but in other apps (iphoto and windows explorer are two) these photos will appear upside down.
    Hope this helps

  • Photos taken from my nokia 5800 cannot be viewed o...

    Good day!
I am having some trouble viewing some of my photos taken from my 5800.  recently, i took some pictures using my phone and then copied them to my laptop. the troubles began when i cannot acces all the recent photos that i took. when i use microsoft picture viewer and even microsoft paint, the photos cannot be viewed. instead, a message "this file is not supported. can be opened using another program." appears.
i have not encountered such problems before when i had a nokia 6500. could you please help me how to work through this problem as soon as possible?
    thanks!

What is the file extension of the photos that you have transferred. I haven't faced this issue with my Nokia 5800. Try transferring again coz if it's JPEG then you should be able to view them easily. May be they are corrupted.

  • HT201317 My photos taken from my iPhone are not appearing in my iCloud account

My photos taken from my iPhone are not appearing in my iCloud account home page. In fact there isn't even a photo icon on my iCloud homepage. In the settings section of my iphone, I have the Photo Stream turned to "on" within the iCloud setting so i'm not sure what the problem is. Any thoughts?

Everything is fine, because there is no web application for photos at the moment. These are the options to view your Photo Stream:
-On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, your photos will appear in the Photos app in the Photo Stream album.
-On your Mac, they appear in the Photo Stream view in iPhoto or Aperture.
-On a PC, your photos download to the Photo Stream download folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Users\Apple\Pictures\Photo Stream\My Photo Stream. You can change this location by visiting Photo Stream Options in the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.
-On Apple TV, your photos will appear in the Photo Stream view under Internet in the main Apple TV menu after you sign in with your iCloud account.

  • How do I export photos taken in an Iphone or Ipad Camera app and retain each of the photos location data?

I know this question must have been answered somewhere but I must not be searching for the right terms because I haven't been able to find clear instructions. I am using iPhones (4s) and iPadminis on IOS 8/8.1. I run ITunes on a Windows PC.
I want to be able to export photos which keep their metadata/exif data, including the location data that is acquired when the photo is taken. I have location services turned on for the Camera app. When I view the photos in the Photos app it appears to have kept some location services because it accurately identifies the place the photo was taken. How do I export these photos so they retain that location information?
I have previously exported the photos by using the iphone and ipad as an external hardrive and just copied the files off the devices. When I open these photos in windows explorer they do not appear to have maintained more than the time the photo was taken. They do not show any location information in third party software like Picasa or Geosetter (My previous experience has been exporting images from a non apple camera and then syncing it with a handheld gps to update the exif data). I don't find syncing photos through Itunes very intuitive.
What are my options? What are the solutions? If you have a solution can you please explain a little about what is happening to the files and the metadata/exif data at each stage of the process.
    Many thanks,
    Clare

    Export the project to iTunes
Copy the project file to your computer
    Rename <File>.IMovieMobile as <File>.zip
Extract the contents of the .zip file
Your photos and clips will be in the Assets folder

  • When I import photos taken from my Windows PC using a flash drive, the photos in iPhoto are dated as the date last modified on PC instead of date picture taken.

When I import photos to my iMac, taken from my Windows PC using a flash drive, the photos in iPhoto are dated as the date last modified on PC instead of date picture taken.

Then you need to ask a PC forum how to export the photos there to include the Metadata (specifically the EXIF data)
If there is valid EXIF data iPhoto uses it (the EXIF data is originally added to the photo by the digital camera) and if there is no EXIF data then the only inofrmaiton IPhoto have available is the file metadata and that is what is used
You can correct the dates in iPhoto using the batch change data/time command

  • Best Way to Export Photos/Videos from iDevice to Mac?

I recently switched from Windows to a Mac. Honestly, OS X works like a beautifully, and I'm loving it so far.
However, one thing has been annoying me like crazy. How does one export photos and videos from their iDevice (i.e. iPhone, iPad) WITHOUT iPhoto? Because, quite frankly, iPhoto just (for lack of a better word) *****. Love the idea that it can manage photos for me, but I want to be able to see them individually as files on a drive for sake of easily carrying it around on my external and plugging in to view them on any computer. I've been organizing my photos in Windows in the Photos folder that is created by default for years now. All I had to do was plug in my iDevice and I would simply cut the images to my hard drive. They were there, and I could see them as actual files instead of whatever file system iPhoto uses for its library.
Please give me solutions that retain all EXIF data in the photos and videos. Not only does iPhoto prevent me from seeing the photos individually as files, but whenever I export the photos to see as actual files, it messes up the dates on the photos, making it look like they were taken on the days I exported them using iPhoto. I can't even understand why it even works like that.

    Interdimension wrote:
I see that Image Capture works well for imports, as it doesn't mess up the EXIF data. I guess this is how those of us who want to export the actual files are supposed to do it.
iPhoto keeps the 'actual' files in the Mac's Pictures folders, just open the iPhoto library (rightclick, choose Show Package Contents), they are in the folder labeled 'Originals'
