Exporting Planning Security ---------System 9 on IBM AIX OS
Hi
I want to extract completely entire planning security like dimension(scenario,entity..) access, members, filters etc.
I need some help with where the exportisecurity utility is located on unix server or please suggest any preferred way to extract it.
Any guidance on how to extract security would be great. How i ever i started digging how to extract the security i will post it once i figure it out.

Thanks you providing the location of cssimportexport utility on unix.I can use that and i also went through the documentation there are few proprties to be set to leverage the ability(functiionality) of CSSImportexportutility.
I also have a question ,regarding Exportsecuirity utility ,do we have this utility for UNIX .is it provided by oracle.I looked into planning admin guide for now ,i havent found anything relating Exportsecuity utility and UNIX.Is this utility dedicated to windows only.?
Please educate...

Exporting Planning 9.3.0.1 security
We are needing to export Planning security for 9.3.0.1. Cannot find the Export utility for this. Looked in the Planning/Utils folder and only find the ImportSecurity utility. We will be re-importing into a new environment running 9.3.1. We can find the 9.3.1 Export utility on the new environment. Is there a way we can export the 9.3.0.1 security for Planning?
The utility was first available in 9.3.1 ( I have never tried using the 9.3.1 version against 9.3.0.1 so can't comment if it would work)
The other option is build up a SQL query against the planning applications relational tables.
Have a look at tables HSP_ACCESS_CONTROL and HSP_OBJECT
Cheers

Best phone plan for security system?
When I first got Fios for my home two years ago, the Triple Play bundle was the best value for me at the time. This included Freedom Essentials. My home phone line is only used for my home's security system. I don't make any calls on that line. I'm currently paying $50 a month for Freedom Essentials which is ridiculous because I don't need it. I'm wonder what the cheapest home phone plan from Verizon is that I can subscribe to instead.
Last time I looked, the least expensive Verizon phone was about $10 (as mentioned above) and did come with 25 free calls and then 4 cents per call after that.
The real question is it still POTS-like?
I'm moving to a new house, and per ADTand Brinks (Broadview) their service does not work with some Verizon products. I suspect they mean the VOIP product (Digital Voice), but I'm not really sure. They really want to see a plain old telephone service (POTS), aka twisted copper pair, to be sure the system works. I still don't know if Freedom Essentials looks like POTS.
Getting this stuff coordinated is a pain. I was all set to use Freedom Essentials, but then I was told Digital Voice would save me some money in monthly taxes. Now I'm trying to figure that out. -

Why does javascript fail to work at gmail on IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1 systesms?
Sorry about asking this question again; but I have not gotten a responce
in over 6 months.
Both firefox 3 and seamonkey 2 seem to have the same problem
on IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1 systems.
If I try to login to gmail using their standard method (Not HTML)
I can not select any folder. If I select a folder firefox hang.
I just see a message saying "Loading".
I am also experiencing problems when I access my financial
institutions (Online banking!).
I believe the problem is in the javascript implementation.
Not sure about gmail; but I do know that the problem at
my financial institusions sites has to do with executing
a javascript.
"I really need some help. firefox and seamonkey are the
only browsers that have been ported to my systems."
If some one can tell me where to look or what is causing the
problem I can submit a problem report to IBM and have them
fix the problem in their version of firefox. So far IBM has not
been able to figure out what is causing the problem.
I really should upgrade to firefox 3.6.18 and seamonkey 2.0.14; but
I can not find a working version. The only thing that works on my
system is firefox 2.0.0.20 and seamonkey 1.1.18. I keep getting security warning when I uses these browsers.
I really would appreciate some help! Can you start in Firefox safe mode? See [[Safe Mode]]

Large pages are not used when databases are started from srvctl on ibm aix
Hi,
RAC 11.2.0.3.2 on IBM AIX 6.1 TL07. Mixed databases 10.2.0.5.4 and 11.2.0.3.2
When started with SQLPLUS, the database instance use LARGE PAGES
When started with SRVCTL, the database instance doesn't use LARGE PAGES, even root has the right capabilities
lsuser -a capabilities root
root capabilities=CAP_NUMA_ATTACH,CAP_BYPASS_RAC_VMM,CAP_PROPAGATE
The same behaviour is observed for 10.2.0.5.4 and 11.2.0.3.2 databases.
ORACLE_SGA_PGSZ=16m is exported in /etc/profile.
I found that :
1) When the node is restarted (shutdown -r now), clusterware and all databases (database 10gr2, 11gr2 , asm, ...) start automaticaly WITHOUT using LARGE PAGES. After this, databases restarted with SQLPLUS are USING LARGE PAGES, and databases restarted with SRVCTL NEVER use LARGE PAGES.
2) When the clusterware is restarted manualy (crsctl stop|start crs) all databases (database 10gr2, 11gr2 , asm, ...) start automaticaly and all instances (10gr2 and 11gr2) are USING the LARGE PAGES. After this, database are ALWAYS using LARGE PAGES (started with SQLPLUS or SRVCTL)
So, this problem occurs only after a restart of the host. All is fine after a manual restart of the clusterware.

Thank's for your helpThe problem here is for IBM AIX (I dont find the equivalent for ulimit -l max locked memory, in ulimit for AIX)
Here a portion of the original /etc/ohasd script (ulimit -c and -n are already set for AIX)
start_stack()
# see init.ohasd.sbs for a full rationale

# MEMLOCK limit is for Bug 9136459
ulimit -l unlimited
ulimit -c unlimited

Unable to continue Oracle Database 10g R2 installation on IBM AIX 5.3L
I am facing some difficulties in installing the above. My environment is as follows:
Server is a IBM system P, OS is AIX 5.3L and oracle version is Oracle Database 10g R2 (10.2).
I encounter my problem when asked to changed/edit the shell script when changing oracle users. I can't find the % vi .login file. And I'm not sure how to proceed.
Please advice as to what needs to be done.
Thank youi'm using bash shell. If you are using a bash shell then .bash_profile is used by default.
It is located in user's home, if it does not exist then simply create it.
can this file be edited after installation?Yes. And also you can set the enviroment temporary (just for current session)
I just can't find the vi .login file."vi" is command (text editor very common in Unix and Unix like world)
.login does not need to exist (see .bash_profile as above). Note .login is ignored by bash shell. -
AD password change comes up, user changes password.
Tries to send signed or encrypted email with a Comodo S/MIME certificate, and gets the following error:
""An error occurred in the underlying security system. Key not valid for us in specified state."
I now have two reports of this error - one on Windows 7, and one on Windows 8.0 (remote user).
The one on Windows 8.0, we tried removing their S/MIME cert from Outlook/Windows and re-adding, this did NOT resolve the issue.
Plan was originally to have the 8.0 user ship their machine in, and wipe it, since nothing else could fix it and I wasn't finding anyone else with the same issue. Now that I've got a second user with the same issue, its looking like a bug/issue and
not a random glitch.
Thanks in advance for any and all help with this!Hi,
Thank you for your question.
I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at this issue.
Thanks,

Autometic planning security refresh is not refreshing the security filters
Hi Friends,
We are using Hyperion planning system 9.3.1. While refreshing the planning security through automated script its not getting refreshed the security filters. In log its showing filter refreshed successfully but actually it’s not refreshing the filters. But when we are doing it manually from planning web its working fine. One more thing we are doing security refresh on daily basic as per business request. So daily its dropping the filters we refreshed manually from planning web.
we are using the below scripts:
CALL G:\Hyperion\Planning\bin\CubeRefresh.cmd /A:application_name /U:user_name /P:password /R /FSV /DEBUG >> In\Log\Refresh_HPOPROD.log
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,I guess you are missing /D

Symbolic link error when exporting during heterogeneous system copy
My enviroment is ECC6.0/Oracle 10.2.0.2/SUN Solaris 10 . I'm performing heterogeneous system copy to Oracle 10.2.0.2/AIX 6.1 enviroment.
I've succesfully exported & imported two systems ie DEV & Solutin Manager , but PRD system has an OS problem with symbolic links ie Number of symbolic links encountered during path name traversal exceeds MAXSYMLINKS
I want to export both ABAP & JAVA stack but only the java stack is getting picked.
Below is part of the resultng sapinst.log
Thanks

In PRD system, u might have craeted many symbolic links in /oracle/PRD fileystem . This should be avoided. Symbolic link should not be created in /oracle/PRD ...
Please check why symbolic links are created and get help from System Operation team . Please becareful to unlink symbolic links that are created by non-SAP. Make sure to perform full offline backup .
Please get the help from Unix System Operation team. Also it does not makes any sense to increase value of Unix parameter for maximum symbolic links.

Just trying to find a newer version of firefox, thunderbird and seamonkey for my
IBM AIX (5.3 and 7.1) systems.
Wondering if anyone in this forum knows of anyone trying to port one of the
latest version to AIX. (I am using firefox 3.6.28, thunderbird 3.1.20 and seamonkey 1.1.18)
Really need to update these products. Unable to fully access a lot of sites.
Would appreciate help locating a never version that runs on my system.Sorry, the situation hasn't changed ([https://support.mozilla.org/questions/935325 935325], [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/959919 959919]). I suggest you direct this question either at IBM support, or at the AIX forum.

* The only [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ official builds] are for Windows, Mac and Linux.
* The only [ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/27.0/contrib/ hosted contributed build] is for Solaris.
* IBM only makes mention of [http://www.ibm.com/systems/power/software/aix/browsers/ Firefox 3.6.25].
* I couldn't find any third-party builds more recent than 3.6.28.
