Exporting Purchased items from itunes for windows

I have recently converted to mac and bought a macbook, and have imported the majority of my albums into itunes on the macbook, however i do have some albums purchased through the itunes store which are downloaded to my windows pc, and I want to transfer these also. Unfortunately my windows pc does not have a CD burner.
Can anyone tell me how I can "export" these files to my mac itunes - I have tried to do this using a flash drive but am unsure how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

iTunes: How to copy purchases between authorized computers
Though it refers to items purchased from the iTunes Store, it applies to all your tracks and videos. And if you happen to also own an iPod:
How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
If you have tracks that you purchased from the iTunes Music Store on your old system and you won't be using that system once you move the tracks, don't forget to deauthorize the system before you dispose of it.

    Hi czigrand,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Currently, you can gift dollar amounts or individual items (EG. songs) on the iTunes Store. See this article for more information:
In the iTunes Store, you can gift a dollar amount or specific music, movies, TV shows, or apps from your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac, or PC. Follow these steps to send a gift from the iTunes Store.

  • How to transfer purchased item from itunes to an ipod

how to transfer purchased item from itunes to an ipod? Spent about an hour and cannot figure out how to do that The best result this far was smth. like this to Sync a book means that all your music, songs, TV show and movies will be erased. What a strange Apple logic!

That message indicate that you are trying to sync with other than the one syncing computer/iTunes library that yo can have. You have to two choices:
    - Make this computer your syncing computer by:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
    - The manual method of syncng specified here:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
    or
iTunes 11 for Mac: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
The manaul method on works for music and videos on other than your one syncing computer.

  • How do I move and store my purchased items from itunes from my pc to icloud?

I'm trying to watch a rented movie on my pc through itunes, but itunes won't let me download anymore because my pc lacks memory. So I'm trying to free up some ram on my pc, by storing all of my purchased items from itunes on my pc and moving it to my icloud account. Will that solve the problem? And how do I do that exactly?

    Hi DKX31,
To set up iCloud on your PC, you will want to follow the instructions in this article -
Apple - iCloud - Learn how to set up iCloud on all your devices.

If you want to keep your purchased content in the iCloud, you will want to enable iTunes match

  • Purchasing songs through itunes for Windows

    Hello,
I'm trying to purchase songs through Itunes for Windows...
I've recently moved, and Itunes hadn't been working for a while but I thought it was just that I needed to pay off my credit card.
I have paid off my credit card, and was attempting to buy music through Itunes.
It keeps telling me my security number isn't valid, but it's the number on the back of my credit card where they say the security number should be.
Any idea how I fix this?

I just fixed that today... so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to use for Itunes, as the credit card company JUST got my current address

  • HT203167 I recently downloaded my previous purchased items from iTunes but I have found that some songs dont play or have only downloaded half of the actual song :/

I recently downloaded my previous purchased items from iTunes but I have found that some songs dont play or have only downloaded half of the actual song :/ when i go to iTunes>Purchased it says that the songs have already been downloaded, which means i cant re-download them. is there a way I can re-download my previous purchased songs?

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match.  Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

  • When I try to retrieve my Purchased items from iTunes, it crashes!

Last night, I decided to Restore my iPod to Factory Settings.
Now, it told me that it would wipe EVERYTHING.
I was trying to research how to save the music I had purchased on my iPod but found nothing.
I exported the playlists from my iPod but they didn't seem to do much; when I imported them back into iTunes, it said that there were no contents.
Now this made me not be able to obtain access to my iTunes purchased items.
I have researched and found several tutorials, all of which work but just one thing.
When I try to download them, it crashes iTunes.
I have tried doing it without and with the iPod plugged in, both times failing.
Could anyone out there help me?
Thank you (this is the first time I have posted on the Support so please be, well, supportive!),

Are you saying that iTunes on the computer crashes (what does crash mean?) when you redownload iTunes purchases on the the computer using:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Re-downloading purchased items from Itunes

I had my PC repaired recently and lost all of my downloaded music and TV shows that were purchased from the Itunes store. Anyone knw how I re-download the purchased items on my new PC?

Where is your backup copy? This is basic.
"PRODUCTS CAN BE DOWNLOADED ONLY ONCE; AFTER BEING DOWNLOADED, THEY CANNOT BE REPLACED IF LOST FOR ANY REASON. YOU SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR OWN SYSTEM, INCLUDING ANY PRODUCTS PURCHASED OR RENTED FROM THE ITUNES STORE THAT ARE STORED IN YOUR SYSTEM."

As Niel suggests, you can ask for an exception, but they are not obligated to allow.
You can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

    Thanks,  Mike
You need to install iTunes on your Windows 7 machine (if it is not already installed), you need to login to the iTunes Store using the same Apple ID as the Mac. You then need to copy the movie file from the Mac on to the PC. You then need to tell iTunes on the PC to import that file.
When you then try playing it on the Windows PC, it should ask for permission (and password) to activate that computer with the iTunes Store. It should then be able to play it.
You can have up to five computers (Mac or PC) activated at the same time.

  • I lost all purchased items from iTunes.

I retrieved everything but movies from iTunes. Does anyone know how to get the movies back? I had 34 of them. Thanks

The easiest way to get back missing items?  Restore your whole hard drive with all your irreplaceable things like photos in about 20 minutes from the backup clone you make on a regular basis.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
If the above doesn't work, it is reported iTunes Support permitting a second download on a one time only basis when asked nicely, but they are in no way obligated to do this. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column; 'iTunes Store' in the second column; third column click 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption' and proceed from there.

  • I have lost all my music on my itunes library. These were not purchased items from itunes, just CDs i had imported, so I could reimport them, but would rather not do that.

I have recently lost all my itunes library. All the CD's were imported, but I would rather not go through the laborious technique of downloading them on to my computer again. I have tried all sorts of methods to restore my library, and have now given up. I have deleted itunes completely from my computer, and  reinstalled the program.
I have now bought itunes match.
Unfortunately, I now realise that I will lose all the music on my phone if I use itunes match. So, is there any way of transferring the music on my iphone back to itunes?
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks.

    Hey xxCreepyFiaxx,
First, I would try the following suggested steps for when you don't see content in iTunes after updating:
    Quit iTunes.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
    Mac OS X
    /Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
    \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
    \Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
Rename this file to iTunes Library.
    Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.

  • 10.5 iTunes IOS5= iT won't add Purchased, music videos, more duplicates from 8200 to over 12945, i think 80% more than i had before, freeze, purchased items from iTunes should be downloaded again from purchased page in the Store, so reinstalling All my Ap

    Hi,
After installing iOS5 on iTunes and iPhone, everything went almost smoothly, except activation, which i finally fixed it.
The issues i am now experiencing are for the most after iOS5 and iTunes 10.5
No direct connection to Wifi Spot at HOME, ( i don't have a Carrier contract) I have to be really 2 metres near the router to connect, but not with iPad which i didn't update to OS5 yet, My Library problem is everyday i have to upload all my music from my computer, from nearly 2000 songs to really 12945 now!!! most of them duplicates, duplicates!!! Enormous , songs, music videos, and movies, all duplicated !!!
I bought a software for fixing this problem, but unfortunately not working at all.I stop this way and buy no more softwares.
I don't really see most of my Apps in iTunes Store=purchased, even though i have to download them everyday, i mean right now 93 are being on download platform, and tomorrow morning, i am not sure to have the 90 Apps on my Library, that in total should be near 600 or more than that.So my kid will ask for one game to play, and i will really have a hard time to find it(iPhone freezes when looking for App Store+update+ Purchased then ALL or Not in the iPhone, it freezes excessively, and when you got one app and push download then you go to iPhone 3, 4 or 5 th page, then rolling back to App Store etc,,,,
Something is wrong, but i don't know it comes from.
Back in 2002/3 first i bought the second generation of iPod, i never saw a duplicate song or file, but now it is different. It becomes sort of a challenge to open your iTunes on your Laptop, and you figure out that your Library is Empty, you have to look for Folders, and no Purchased icon under iTunes Store, No Music Videos either!!!
Somebody has to sort this out Hopefully
    Best Regards
    [email protected]

I've written a script called DeDuper which can help remove unwanted duplicates. See this  thread for background.
What brand of PC do you have? Sony VIAO is notoriuous for having some software which corrupts the iTunes library.
If you are routinely generating more and more duplicates in your library then you are adding media in the wrong way. Simply scanning the entire media folder over & over again is a likely cause of problems, particularly if this is a different folder from the one currently set as the iTunes Media folder. Use a tool like iTunes Folder Watch which can scan your media folders, add new files and remove missing ones.

  • HT1848 Where is the "transfer purchases" option in iTunes for Windows 8.1 (desktop)?

This article says I should use the "File Menu" on my PC's iTunes application. Unfortunately, no one revised these instructions after someone else redesigned the interface.

Thanks for your response, but I'm not finding any option like that, either.
Here's a little more detail on the context of my specific problem:
This morning, for no apparent reason, my 4 month old iPad Air decided it would not turn on. I plugged it into my PC and iTunes was able to access its contents, or at least some of it; it's not really clear.
One of the options for dealing with this situation, according to the Apple support page I read, is to have iTunes reset the iPad, which is misleadingly called "Restore iPad ...". (Evidently, this condition is common enough that there is a separate page for dealing with it.)
After backing up the iPad to my computer using iTunes, I started the so-called "Restore" process, only to be told that "There are purchased items on the iPad ... that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. If you restore this iPad, these items will be erased and you will have to purchase them again. Are you sure you want to continue?"
Naturally, this message does not give me an option button to "transfer" the purchased items to my "iTunes library"; in fact, the message does not even give the slightest hint as to how such as "transfer" might be accomplished. It also does not give any clue as to what has not been "transferred to [my] iTunes library."
So far as I can tell, the only thing that I have purchased that has not been downloaded to my computer are my iPad apps. Do I have to download those to my computer? That seems idiotic, but, then again, I am new to the Appleverse and am not familiar with its arcane and recondite ways. All that I had ever heard was that Apple stuff was supposed to be intuitive and easy to use. This seems to be the exact opposite.

  • Will I loose all purchased items from iTunes if my email address has to change ??

I have been told that if my email address has to change then I loose all my iTunes purchased items.  I have a primary email account and an iCloud email  but if I am not longer able to use the primary email account have I lost everything I have purchased???

<<fill in the event>> then I loose all my iTunes purchased items.
Robbie, That is a common fear of people who do not have a backup of their valuable content.  Please make a backup.
if I am not longer able to use the primary email account have I lost everything I have purchased???
No.  If you want to change the email address for your Apple ID, just go to this website and change it:
