Exporting: Title Shadows Disappear & Color is Darker/Reddish

I'm using Premiere Pro CS6 v 6.0.3 on a Lenovo W530 w 16 GB Ram and Win7 64 bit. I'm exporting video using Vimeo preset settings H.264 and check the box "Use Maximum Render Quality".
When I'm in the Premiere timeline, I can see the shadows on my titles, however when I export the video, the titles are there without shadows.
Also it appears that the video is exporting much darker and with a reddish tint that is not visible from the export settings preview window.
Any idea what's happening here?
Thanks!
Michelle

I just used a Spyder4 to calibrate my monitors. Unfortunately the problem is still there. It's definately an issue with the export, because I can put the exported file next to the original source in Premiere and the color is drastically different (on the same monitor, side by side).
I think the issue started when I downloaded the upgrade, so I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that helps. In the meantime if anyone else knows how to fix this, please let me know. Thanks!

  • Exporting Why is the color so dark

When I am working in AE CS3 the color looks great but when I export it Animation + with RGB Preserved, why does my colors look really dark? Is there a setting I am missing?
I am using an IMac with Intel prossessor. It also looks dark on my boss's HP PC. Oh and yes I am using the render Q

Also take into account that many office PCs are misconfigured, i.e. either forcibly toned down in brightness and contrast or simply because they are of low-price ranges (as obviously you don't need extreme stuff just for typing word documents and doing e-mail) ;-)

  • Export to PDF changes colors to a darker shade

I have an annoying problem with both Keynote and Pages: when exporting to PDF, the colors become darker than they appear on screen and on the printer.
I've tried various things to improve the situation, but to no avail:
    1. tried using different color profiles for the colors;
    2. tried printing to PDF (instead of exporting).
The problem seems to arise from the fact that I have a bitmap image on the page. Before I put the bitmap image on, the export is perfectly fine. Then when I add the bitmap and export again, the colors are wrong.
I've uploaded the Pages files and the PDF exports here:

    Suggestions are highly anticipated!

I'm not at my Mac right now, so I cannot check, but I'm surprised you get the rectangle around the shadow. I thought that was fixed. Someone else may have the shadow story clearer.
Bug reports are made at http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/ , but it may be enough if you just enter the observation on the Pages feedback page at http://www.apple.com/feedback/pages.html .
You also have the option to play with your own color profiles in ColorSync Utility. It is not straightforward, but it is interesting to see what flexibility MacOS X gives us.
CS2 is Adobe Creative Suite. It includes Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop and so on. It is much better at following industry standards than Pages, but it is not as easy to use. And it costs more than ten times as much.

  • Drop shadow disappears when I close title tool?

I'm using Premiere Pro CC. I have created a title in title tool and I have added a drop shadow. I can see the drop shadow when I still have the title tool open.
Once I close the title tool window the drop shadow disappears? I have tried different fonts nothing seems to work. Don't know what else to try?

It's not really a bug, it's by design.  Hardware acceleration processes things differently.
If you're on CC, you can also leave hardware acceleration on and go into the Sequence settings and uncheck Composite in Linear Color.

  • Titles created in Boris title crawl disappear after render

I build a title roll in Boris Title Crawl for a weekly TV show that I edit in HDV 1080i60 (that is how I get the footage) that airs on Dish Network and DirecTV. I build the end credits in Boris Title Crawl using the "Roll" animation style. The roll will appear in the perfect position on the screen. However, sometimes over time and subsequent rendering, the titles will disappear completely from the screen, and I believe they are being positioned far off to the side outside of the viewable area. The wireframe for the roll remains in the correct position, it just appears empty. If I re-open Boris Title Crawl and then click "apply" again, the mispositioning is corrected, at least for a while. If I try to export using quicktime conversion to another format (Quicktime Movie with H.264 compression), the roll might disappear again, and the movie will export without the roll. This has only been happening since upgrading to FCP 7, I don't recall it every happening with FCP 6. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't use Boris regularly, but when I have, I never encountered this, and I doubt it's related to upgrading to 7. If I understand correctly what you're describing, the changes could be caused by any number of things – like whatever cutting took place on your TL "over time and subsequent rendering" causing re-renders.
How many v tracks do you have and is the crawl on a separate track? Consider exporting the credits clip as a QT movie and reimport it.
And somewhat off topic, typically I get better (and far more predictable) results by exporting my sequence as a QTMovie (current settings) and do all encoding (e.g., H.264) in Compressor.
    Good luck.

  • Shadow disappears from Photoshop to Illustrator

I have a tiff with a transparent back ground with a low opacity shadow. I drop this into photoshop, it looks fine. I drop it into Illustrator and the shadow disappears. I need this image to have a shadow in Illustrator. I've tried exporting as a photoshop file, Photoshop EPS etc. I need it to be CMYK (so no pngs). HELP!

But why would I be able to SEE the shadow in photoshop but not Illustrator if there was a clipping mask? This is what it looks like in Photoshop, followed by what it looks like in Illustrator. The center shadow stays but the shadows on the outside of the circle of cheese on the bottom right disappears.

  • --Color differences in exports - Need to maintain color quality...

    Here's the scoop...
I'm experiencing color differences and sharpness of text and graphics - basically everything in video --- from one export to another.
In this circumstance, I screen cast Powerpoint with Camtasia. I export the video in Camtasia with these settings:
    Quicktime - TechSmith Ensharpen Codec.
I import into Premiere, do my edits...then export H.264 Format --- with custom settings that match Camtasia Exports - frame rate, resolution...etc...
Data Rate in Premiere - played around with diff settings...went initally with 3 min 4 mbps max --- then tested 5 min 6 max --- same results. I export them with Encoder.
    Results =
    - Quicktime - TechSmith Ensharpen Codec = darker, richer colors with enhanced sharpness
    - H.264 from Premiere = lighter colors with more of a flat/less sharp look
I've compared in both Quicktime and VLC players
I've read that H.264 can produce color differences. I want an export that will maintain colors of Quicktime - TechSmith Ensharpen Codec at a data rate of around 1-2mbps. Have any suggestions?
    Big Thanks

    Jim, appreciate the insight.
Prior to posting, I forgot to mention I did adjust settings in GPU panel.
I've tested multiple computers now on various players (VLC, etc..), all with the same result --- the color difference exists on every computer. Final video's will be seen online, not a TV.
In light of this…what I've deducted is that - I still need to find an answer to my original question.
Is there an export that will maintain the quality and colors of Quicktime - TechSmith Ensharpen Codec at a data rate of around 1-2mbps?
Virtually none of the computers that people will be viewing these video's on are going to be color calibrated. It'd be comparable to the computers I've been testing on…
If I'm not seeing this clearly, then obviously let me know…I could be mistaken.
    Thanks again

  • Colors Became Darker

[InDesign 5.0.2 for Windows (Vista)] On 2 pages of an 8-page document, the colors in both text and objects are darker than they should be (regardless of whether the content comes from a master page or the regular page, whether it was there before, or newly added. Immediately upon typing it in, the colors are fine. However, as soon as I click out of the frame, the color becomes darker. Even pasting text or objects leads to the pasted content being darker than the original. Any ideas? Thanks.

Do you have a mixture of color models in placed graphics on those affected pages? If so, make them all agree on the color model: either all cmyk or all rgb. If you are working rgb, make sure to click on Edit > Transparency Blend Space ... and choose rgb for agreement.

  • Export PDF icon disappears on IR runtime version in Workspace

    Hello,
We have implemented Hyperion BI+ 9.3.1. We are faced with a peculiar issue in Production and I am hoping that someone can shed some light.
We have developed a bqy document that has dashboards. This document when published in it's original format (uncompacted) in Workspace, displays the Export PDF icon on the report toolbar; however, if we create a runtime version of this document (using Dashboard Studio) and publish the runtime version in Workspace, the Export PDF icon disappears.
We have been trying to see if we can enable this icon on the toolbar using Javascripts in the Dashboard's Script section and have been unsuccessful.
Have any of you encountered this or does anyone know if we are attempting to enable a feature that just cannot be enabled in the runtime version?
Any help or insight is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rajesh

We found a solution to this issue. When creating a runtime version of the bqy using Dashboard Studio, Step 7 (Properties) has several Toolbars properties (LAN Client and Plug-in) that are by default set to False. When we set these Toobar properties (especially LAN Client) to True, the Export PDF icon displays on the runtime version in Workspace.
The documentation (IR Volume 5) was misleading. It described Plug-in to be Web Browser/Thin Client and LAN Client as the Client environment leading us to initially believe that the LAN Client settings will have no effect in Workspace.
I am posting this in case someone else runs into this issue.
    Thanks
    Rajesh

  • Can you change the pasteboard color? (Dark Gray to a much lighter gray)

Can you change the pasteboard color? (Dark Gray to a much lighter gray)

In CS6 and later you can change the User Interface in the Preferences.
A brighter interface changes the pasteboard color. Tou can also check the Canvas Color to white.

  • Font color against dark font backgrounds changing to white in Word 2010

Hello.  I am a long-time Word and VBA user and have been experiencing a problem with Word 2010 wherein font colors against a dark font background color always appear, and print, as if they had been set to white.  By contrast, Word 2007 would retain
whatever font color was set for each character (whether through the standard user interface or VBA).  Has anyone else run into this problem?  Is there a fix for it?  Thanks.

    Thanks for your response, Eugene.
    It's x86.
I actually had set up an image of a comparison of Word 2007 vs. Word 2010, but when I've tried to include it here, a message comes up that says "Body text cannot contain images or links until we are able to verify your account."
I had previously been warned that I needed to provide a phone message to "verify" my account.  I don't like giving out my phone number when it's not relevant to what I'm doing.  I'll explore to see if there are other options where I don't have
to provide private information in order to be able to post images in my messages in this forum.  (I'm not up to any harm here!)  I do think the image that I set up would be very helpful to share; it shows clearly the difference in how Word 2007 vs.
Word 2010 treat font/text color against dark font/text backgrounds.

  • Color prints different -- shade of color is darker

    Hello.
Hopefully someone can help me.. I'm designing my daughter's baptism invitation on PSE, it look great on the PC screen, however when I print the colors look darker.  Is there a setting I should be using so that the color is true to the screen color?  What am I doing wrong???
    TIA
    Valerie

Unfortunately there is no simple answer to this question.  I would suggest you read these notes on my web site.  I've tried to keep them basic and they do relate to Elements, albeit and earlier version.

The Mac has never needed "Full Screen". It has done multiple screen Extended Desktop since 1987.
Full screen is an iPhone feature, carried into this verion with the mult-touch gestures and other so-called "unifying" features.

  • Help me solve color and dark print issue with a new monitor recommendation!

I know, I hate "surveys" too. I'm thinking of attacking my color and dark printing issues w\LR and CS4, by investing in a new monitor. I currently have an 20' early edition Apple Cinema Display. The monitor is the last hardware (software) item in my current upgrade cycle. From those folks who are NOT having color or print problems, what displays are you using (or would recommend)? Ah, and price is an issue. Apologies in advance to those who think this is not appropriate use of the Forum.

Monitor calibration is the first port of call. Sometimes changing one item in a system is enough to show up a colour management issue. You suggest that the monitor is the last item in your upgrade cycle, what all have you changed? Computer, printer? There may also be a setting you have failed to set when you installed the new software, eg. have you remembered to set relative colorimetric with the black point compensation box ticked, disable colour management in your printer driver and put an appropriate colour profile for your monitor onto the new computer? You also need the correct profile for your printer/paper combination set up in Photoshop.
If you haven't calibrated your monitor, that on its own will give you poor prints, but all the other bits are needed also.

Nothing I have tried in the template makes the BODY tag editable. That's why I'm wondering how to disconnect the template from the individual pages. Adding an ID to each body tag is a prerequisite of the how-to page you supplied.
You don't make the <body> tag editable in a Template.
You make attributes of the <body> tag editable.
Don't disconnect the Template from the child pages.
Specify editable tag attributes in a template
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dreamweaver/cs/using/WScbb6b82af5544594822510a94ae8d65-7aa3a.h tml
    In the Template:
Select the <body> tag (either in the Tag selector or click inside the <body> tag in Code View)
Modify > Templates > Make Attribute Editable
Select ID from the Attribute dropdown menu
If there's no existing ID attribute then click Add and type ID into the next dialogue box
    Attribute: ID
Check the box to "Make attribute editable"
Enter anything into the Label field as a default e.g. foo
    OK
Dreamweaver will change the <body> tag to read <body id="@@(foo)@@"....
    Now the ID is editable
Save the Template and update the child page
    In each child page:
    Modify > Template Properties
Select the id attribute from the list (it's probably the only one listed)
Change its name in the box to whatever name matches your CSS rule for the active state for that page
    OK
    Save
    Upload
