Exporting to a website

I'm trying to get my instructional video to play on my
company's website. I published the file as HTML, uploaded it, but
when I click the link nothing comes up.
I then uploaded the flash file by itself and it played, but
the quality wasn't as good and there were no buttons for users to
pause, rewind, etc.
I want them to be able to view it in a webpage and be ablet
to use the controls, please help

I looked at your link and see some pretty strange results.
While I consider myself to be a bit more informed than the average
person when it comes to the web, I'm no guru. One thing I notice
here is that the link your user clicks is on a page coming from a
secure site. In other words, the prefix is HTTPS and not HTTP. I'm
not sure what is going on, because on a normal web page, when you
link to a different page ending in .HTM as you are here, the page
simply opens and displays. I've never seen the behavior your link
is presenting, where I'm prompted to either open or save the link.
Not with an HTML page. I've seen it with other files, such as .CHM
or .EXE, but .HTM normally simply opens in the browser.
I'm guessing that the issue is tied to either the fact you
are on a secure server or perhaps it has something to do with the
way your server is configured. You might try simply amending the
link so it opens in a new browser window and see how far you get. I
suppose if I were in your shoes, that's the first thing I'd try.

Once it's saved to your local HD, you need to open DW and define a local site. Go to Site > New Site > tell DW where your newly exported MU files are located on your HD. See screenshot.

Export clip for website

Hello
I am trying to export a clip using quicktime for use on a website. The clip has been green screened and distorted a bit to make person like a bit thinner.
What settings would I use in quicktime to be able to send this clip to my webmaster (he uses a PC)
so that he can put it onto website. Once I ICHAT it to him he crops it and puts it into flash (swf)
When I do regular quicktime with default settings, hes getting it, but the clip is not looking nice and sharp, looks pretty crummy?

I will assume you are using Compressor 3 as part of Final Cut Studio 2.
1. Either Export to Compressor or Export to QuickTime and drag the file into Compressor.
2. In the Settings tab, go to Apple > Other Workflows > Web > Download > QuickTime 7 Compatible. For simplicity's sake, we will use one of the presets. H.264 300Kbps usually provides a decent trade-off between file size and quality but you should ask the webmaster what he is looking for.
3. Drag the setting onto the file in the main window. Click on the setting in the main window to open it in the Inspector tab. Click on the Geometry tab.
4. Under the Dimensions section, enter the frame size (resolution) that your webmaster is looking for. Then click Submit. On my machine, Batch Monitor doesn't open automatically (it used to with the old Compressor; maybe this is a feature of Compressor 3) so you may need to click the button at the top. This will give you a window detailing the progress of your render (you may have to click the name of your computer on the left).

hello, I have made a mobile website for the first time using dreamweaver cs6, using Jquery mobile, when I test it on "live" it works perfectly even if I check it on small screen sizes like smart phone, however I saved it as an html file, uploaded it on my server, and from my phone the text looks super small, it seems like it's maybe not reading it as mobile website? is it the right way of exporting it? or for mobile website should I export it in another format? (not html?) thank you

You can export as jpeg (sRGB) if you have your own web site set up and managed, you can use the Web module to create a web site (you can upload automatically from there - see the help or just wing it from "Upload..." button), you can publish directly to Facebook, Flickr and loads more.
Or you can ask a more specific question!

Okay I've been trying to upload some picture onto websites such as DeviantART.com and Photobucket.com but when I click the browser button and try to select the photo it is not there but I can see it in the Aperture Browser...... Any suggestions or solutions are greatly accepted.... Thank you!

Have you generated Previews? Have you set to share your Previews? If so, you can access the Library from every Open/Attach dialogue in the OS?

You can use Muse's publish feature to publish your site to a temporary Adobe BusinessCatalyst site, then you can assign the URL to that site.
You can also purchase hosting from a 3rd party web hosting provider, and use FTP upload to upload your muse site to that location.

Colour loss when exporting jpeg from Aperture 2.1

I'm having a problem with colour loss in images i'm trying to export to a website.These are jpegs that have been worked on as RAW in Aperture,when exported to desktop and viewed in preview there is no colour loss at all, but when viewed on the site the colour saturation seems very dull and lack lustre - any ideas?? I have checked all the export presets (been going through all the posts to see if i could pickup anyone else finding the same) and they are all at the same settings. Thanks

Go to the tools menu and then assign profile. Choose the display profile that your monitor is using. This will effectively stop preview from doing any translation to your monitor. See if this matches what you are seeing when you upload to the web. If it does then somewhere in your upload, process, web server chain the profile is being removed from the jpg or the browser you are using ignores color profiles (most windows browsers ignore image color profiles, that's why adobeRGB profile images look like crap to most windows users when viewed in Explorer)
Ps if this is the case nothing is wrong you are just getting a preview of how most windows users will see your image on the web. Adjust to taste.

I embedded some HTML code into adobe Muse but not displaying when the pages are Exporting to HTML

I embedded some HTML code into adobe Muse and when I published the remote site on business catalyst the (Add This widget) HTML code shows up but when I exported the site to HTML pages and view the index page in the browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) the (Add this widget) HTML code wouldn't display on any of the pages. I've used this code before on other Muse sites not sure what could have happened. Thnx!!!

Problems exporting as pdf

I am having problems exporting a multipage website as a working pdf. I get a dialogue box stating that there are incorrect parameters. I am using Mac OS 10.5. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Carrie

First off, thanks for your help & follow up.
I guess I'm having trouble actually installing the abracadabra Automator script. I downloaded it, unzipped it and attempted to open it in Automator and received the following errors.
From there, I thought it may have been installed. But I'm still having some problems. According to the site the next should be " save it as a module via the menu File > Save as module > Finder module . It will then be available by right-clicking on any icon Finder via the sub-menu> Automator > PDF-Assembler ."
Forgive me for my cluelessness, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Exif data when exporting images

Hi, I have question about Aperture writing its signature in the exif data when i export pictures to websites like Flickr, in the past i used DPP, and it always shoved "digital photo professional" under more properties, just this is missing all the rest is there.
Is there a way i can get Aperture to get that pice of information in there......?

There's a simpler method which you might consider using.
What file naming convention are you using on import? Why not rename your camera files on import into Aperture something like " dateclient_joboriginalfilename ". You could then either use that, or export with that name plus a sequential numbering scheme.
Or -- the same as Viren's excellent suggestion -- select all the files you are going to export, create duplicate versions, with the duplicates still selected create a new Album containing all of them, then use Aperture to rename the Versions prior to export and export using the Version name. Versions don't use much space (they are text files), and you end up with an Album of neatly numbered Versions of just the photos you've given to your client +with the file names of their files exactly the same as your Aperture Version names+.

Iphoto photos won't export

I have some photos in iphoto I copied off a jump drive. They don't act like the other photos in iphoto, for example, they won't export to my website but my other iphoto photos will. Also, when I look at the events, they don't show up. It is like I can see them, but not manipulate them the way I want.
