Exporting to Flash color changes

I've exported a 10 sec piece from timeline to QT Conversion to Flash and once the client opens it up(she is using CS3) it has small bursts (every 2 0r 3 secs) of pink/red artifacts. There are no transitions or filters or anything on the footage.
Does anyone have any ideas on this. I've read other threads but there are no solutions.
Thanks,
M

Try exporting as a selfcontained qt with sequence settings first. Also, I've seen these kind of artifacts when a drive is failing or corrupted. Try running disk repair in disk utility and diskwarrior if you've got it on the drive.

  • Flash to Illustrator - colors change!

Flash CS3: I export an image in Flash as Illustrator file (6 or 88).
When I open such an AI file in Illustrator CS3, it keeps the shapes and layers from Flash, but turns out to have lost the brillant RGB colors and shows very "greyish" CMYK colors!
I can't find any settings in Flash or Illustrator to avoid this conversion of colors. Illustrator doesn't ask me if I want to open the file with RGB or CMYK colors.
Can someone tell me what to to in order to keep the original Flash RGB colors when exporting a frame as Illustrator file?
    Thanks in advance!

Well… AI won't place .swf or .fla. Export from Flash (CS4) to .ai format & it opens fine in AI except you get the horrible color shifts. Strangely these files won't place in AI, at last for me—I get an error even though other .ai files place just fine.
I have what I consider good & sufficient reasons to want to do certain illustrations in Flash, but then I also need to use them as separate files…
Interestingly, the color shift appears to happen when exporting from Flash, not on opening in AI. At least if you do this the shift still happens… Export from Flash in .ai format. Place the resulting file in an RGB InDesign document & the colors are, well, sad…
I could totally understand this right after Adobe bought Macromedia… but it's been long enough that it really seems these sorts of interaction glitches should be worked out… hey it's been a year since the first post on the topic.
I did find a sorta kludge that at least doesn't change the colors & let's ya place the file in InDesign, but not edit the vectors: Save from Flash as a .pdf—I use print to PDF. Unfortunately it saves the Flash stage along with the artwork so your lose all transparency in a paper sized area (depending on your print paper settings).
The other option I've used, if you have CS4 at least, is to use AI's Color Guide > Edit Colors to adjust the colors. It's easier than doing them all individually at least. For me I find working with the colors in LAB is easiest if you don't need exact matches with Flash (just something that looks decent)—it let's you resaturate & adjust brightness easiest without changing the base color.
If anyone has a solution, please please post… and many thanks in advance.

  • Looking for a script exporting pdf files after changing PMS to CMYK colors

    Hello every one,
I have lot of files which needs to change in InDesign
    1. PMS colors (if any) to CMYK
    2. Exportas a specific color profile (GWG_GenericCMYK)
To do this I have file names, sizes information in excel sheet. Can I assume with scripts…?
New file sizes, name creation      will be using of excel sheet,
Save      the file (location I will choose manually sounds that script needs to      pause here)
Placing in center of the      document than
Color swatches changes PMS to     CMYK (if any other wise leave it as it is),  at the end
Exports file as a pdf with     already defined pdf settings (GWG_GenericCMYK).
Can some one make my dream come true ...???
If anyone solve this situation it’s saves my towns of time. Please help me any tremendous scripter ….
I don’t have any knowledge in scripting... Please see for example excel sheet. sorry for image i tryed to upload excel file some error..!!!

  • Color change when exported

Using Lr4.1 on PC w/ win7pro laptop with external NEC multisync mmonitor-calibrated,  I've taken Raws made LR adjustments, then imported 3-10 images into photoshop layers for masking, merges, few if any color changes.  Then save as all layers as a psd, then flatten the psd and save as a tiff.  When I open in LR for any other minor tweaks, sharpening, dust spots, and do an export into SRGB or Adobe rgb, the colors are terrible.  Look nothing like what I see in LR.  I've heard people have minimal issues, but I am having major changes,  many times the collors will become dull and flat or very saturated when viewed.  As an architectural photographer I need these colors close to what I took.   If I edit in CR into PS I don't have this problem.  I assume its related to the prophoto RGB color changing, but I really don't know what's going on with the color space.  The color will appear different from my laptop monitor to the NEC by a lot which I understand a pro monitor will show more colors, but the color space shift is making a lot of work done in LR useless if I have to redo it all in CR.  How can I get LR to export the colors I see in LR into a srgb jpg and Adobe tiff?
    Thanks

    Lots of steps here:
"Using Lr4.1 on PC w/ win7pro laptop with external NEC multisync mmonitor-calibrated,  I've taken Raws made LR adjustments, then imported 3-10 images into photoshop layers for masking, merges, few if any color changes."
How do you get them into PS?  What do you mean by "imported 3-10 images into photoshop"?  Do you mean you use "Edit in.." from LR, and choose "Open as layers in Photoshop..."?
"Then save as all layers as a psd, then flatten the psd and save as a tiff."
How does it look in PS?
"When I open in LR for any other minor tweaks, sharpening, dust spots"
How do you open in LR?  The normal process, after "Edit in..." is that you save in PS, and the image is automatically stacked in LR against the original (or one of the originals, if you open several by "Open as layers in Photoshop...").  How does it look now?
"and do an export into SRGB or Adobe rgb, the colors are terrible.  Look nothing like what I see in LR."
Only now they look terrible?  They looked OK in LR originally, OK in PS, OK when back in LR, but when you export they look bad - is that right?  And as Victoria says, how are you viewing the exported images?
"I assume its related to the prophoto RGB color changing, but I really don't know what's going on with the color space."
It certainly shouldn't be due to colour space changing.  The whole point of colour management is that it deals with this.
Final points:  you say your monitor is calibrated.  You do mean calibrated and profiled with a hardware instrument (Spyder, Colormunki etc)?
And, color settings in Photoshop, they should look something like this:
Choice of working space should be ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB or sRGB, but not a monitor or printer profile.  Policies should all be "Preserve" and I recommend all the "Ask When" boxed be checked (so you are warned of mismatches).

  • Color change after exporting from Lightroom

I noticed a drastic color change after exporting a file from Lightroom to a JPEG file today. I have been using Lightroom for a while, and it never happened before. I am assuming that I changed the setting somehow and I cannot find how to fix it.
    Here is the original.
After exporting to a JPEG. The color is so drastically different. I tried both sRGB and AdobeRGB and they turn out to have the same problem.
It is not as clear as JPEG files, but edited files with Photoshop CS5 also looks slightly different viewed on Lightroom.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.  Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks everyone for looking into my problem!
    >Can you upload a sample of each
    >* Raw File
    >* XMP Sidecar
    >* Exported JPEG
I somehow can't find XMP sidecar files in my folders.... So instead, I exported the JPEG file to the 2nd JPEG file, hoping you can compare those two JPEG files.
The colors get lighter and lighter every time I export the files. I uploaded those files (RAW, 1st JPEG, 2nd JPEG) on line. I also changed the file samples from the original post because I can't add watermarks.
I checked my flles, but there is no preset applied to the JPEGs.
I am thinking of unistallng Lightroom and reinstalling it and see what happens.
    Thanks!

  • Embedded Flash Background Color Changes in iWeb

Bit of an odd one this. I built a Flash movie with a black background, published it out, uploaded it to my web server, then successfully embedded it in iWeb.
The trouble is when I view it in iWeb the background color of the Flash file changes to white. When I view the swf directly off my web server (not through iWeb) or directly locally (again not through iWeb) the background appears as black.
    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

How are you embedding the file in iWeb?
I have an example of the code for a snippet here...
    http://roddymckay.com/VisualMedia/FlashAnimation.html
In this you can set the background color number to black - #000000. I you can get the frame size right and the movie has a constant aspect ratio, you shouldn't have to set the background.

That's very interesting how you got that color selector to
    work. good one!
I took a look at the code in your preloader. One thing that
is not right is that you are looping back to frame 2 where the
onEnterFrame is created. That means that you are creating
another onEnterFrame with every loop, (or wrecking the original
    one).
I found that if I put your file tinter.swf in my cache, then
the preloader ended and the main file ran. If tinter.swf wasn't in
    the
cache then the preloader just gets stuck.
Seems like the loadMovieNum is failing.
Anyway, instead of that you might want to do something like
this to make sure that you don't initialize onEnterFrame more than
    one
    time..
    if(!initialized)
initialized = true; // block this init code next time
    loadMovieNum("tinter.swf", 2);
    this.onEnterFrame = function () // add 'this' here
    ... etc

  • AI File Import - Color Changes on Paste

We are having a universal problem when pasting elements from
Illustrator CS3 (Mac OS X) into Flash CS3. If we choose to import
Paths as Vector, the color is changed. For example FF9900 becomes
FF8A00. This is not a CMYK to RGB issue. It happens with all
circumstances. We have used the Bridge CS3 to sync colors to NA
Web, and have made new documents from the Web template and still
the color changes. The color change isn't always consistent. If the
color is defined as a Spot it changes differently (FF9900 becomes
    FF9B00).
Our current workaround is to export as SWF from Illustrator,
which preserves the colors. Any ideas on what we're doing wrong, or
    if this is a limitation/bug?

    Compressor: DVCPROHD 720p60
When I prep for DVD I'll use 8-bit uncompressed, but I'm just trying to get a quick proof out for preview via FTP.
"Recompress all Frames" is not checked.
Interesting thing is the colors appear to be preserved when I bring it into Compressor - they are only off in Quicktime.
Doing a compression right now, so we'll see if they are preserved in the final clip for web...

  • Color Changes When Importing onto Another Computer

I'm not sure if this is an Illustrator issue, but since I'm using Illustrator, I'm hoping maybe someone can help.
I made a graphic in Illustrator that I exported. I then put that on a flash drive, took it to another computer, and imported it into software called Lectora (not Adobe related). However, my colors changed greatly. The orange wasn't too bad, but the purple is a huge difference. My company has specific colors, so it's a huge deal to make it the correct shade of purple.
I don't think it's the software because if you open the graphic on the computer in general, the colors are different. I tried on a third computer, and the colors are still different, so that brings me back to some setting on my original computer. When I open the graphic on my computer outside of Adobe, the colors are what I want.
The document is RGB, 72ppi. I tried exporting as png, tif, jpeg, bmp, gif (transferred to photoshop), 72ppi, 300ppi, etc.
Also if it matters, from my original computer to the printer, it prints the different shade of purple rather than what i see on my screen.

    Carla,
There may be differences in the colours on the different (and possibly differently calibrated) monitors (and between different applications).
There is probably a significant difference in colours between RGB and CMYK; unless you are using a non PostScript printer (driver), the printer needs CMYK; you should create the CMYK colours by creating a version (the basic print version) in CMYK Color Mode.
Normally, if you want to make sure that you can print the colours in CMYK, you should start with CMYK.
Obviously, if the intended (main) use is for screen/web and the print is only secondary, you may work in RGB and live with the colour differences in print; or you may use a (non PostScript) printer with more inks.
Yet another option is to use spot colours, but that is a further complication.
    Have you used colour management?
You may start reading the basics here (the articles also apply to Illy, though written for PS).

  • Mouse clicks and path not exporting to flash

Hey Guys, I've just started using Captivate v5 and all seems to work fine but when I export to Flash CS5, the mouse animates as linear and the click effect doesn't appear. If I preview from captivate the paths and clicks are there. If I click the mouse icon on the slides, they are all set to flash blue circle and straight pointer path is unchecked. The slides do not contain live film either, just screenshots. If I go into the movie in flash, the tween is there but no motion path. Any ideas?  Thanks

Yeah, when I export to flash it opens the doc as AS3. Also, I noticed the default click effect does work, but when I change to any of the custom ones it gets ignored by flash.

  • Why are my assigned iCal colors changing automatically?

All of my designated calendar colors are changing on their own in my iCal on my iPhone and in iCloud. Anyone know why this is happening? I tried to change back, but keeps reverting to new colors.

I just had the same problem.  I went to the iCloud to change the colors back, but they would automatically change back.
    Here's what I did:
    1.  Take your calendars offline in iCal
    2.  Export the calendars that change color to the desktop
    3.  Delete the calendars from both the iCloud and iCal
    4.  Create new calenders in iCal making them the color you want
    5.  Import the calendars from the desktop int your new calenders
    6.  Put your Calendars back online to sync with iCloud
    Good luck!

  • Quicktime movie export from Flash CS3 is skipping frame.

When I try to export Quicktime movie from Flash CS3, the
resulting mov file is skipping frames. i.e.: The movie is showing
    frame number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 7, 10, 11, 12, 12, 12, 15
    etc...
As you can see the frame number 7 is repeated 3 times and
frame 8 and 9 are nowhere to be found.
The last configuration I used is 960x540, Sorenson video 3
medium quality, 25 fps, keyframe every 25 frames. 6400 kbits/s.
I tried various configurations, with different codecs and even
with keyframe all frames and I always get simillar problems.
Anyone have an idea what is going on, and how to fix this?
    Thank you,
    Olivier.

The QT exporter in Flash is honestly my least favorite
feature - not the feature itself but how it
works (or how it doesn't work in some cases). For me it is
almost unusable unless you have a very
short timeline, small stage, lower frame rate - like AS
generated effects or something - otherwise,
for true frame accuracy to video output - it is not reliable
enough and not fast enough for any real
    world production environment.
So typically for me - I love SWF2Video (www.flashants.com) as
it takes any SWF and makes it into an
AVI that is frame accurate no matter what the frame rate is -
quite incredible - enough so that I
always felt it should have been bundled with Flash (as well
    as Wacom tablets).
Harmony is an incredible product - as is SOLO and TBS (Toon
Boom mStudio) - each of those programs
are dedicated animation programs designed for output to video
    - Flash has a lot of hats to fill and
it was never really designed for animation to video even
though many of us have found it suitable
for all intents and purposes as an animation program for full
    production.
But all in all - the quicktime exporter doesn't really
deliver how we would expect it too I am sorry
to say - I only hope it works as well as it does on the Mac
(Mac users could always choose to export
to Quicktime Video but not PC users).
For now if I am exporting to video I keep it all on the
timeline or nested in Graphic symbols or use
    the SWF2Video tool.
    hope this helps.

  • Export in Flash MX works Flash 8 crashes

I have Flash 8 professional and I admit I am very much a
    beginner at flash.
I have taken a basic flash class so I know a few things.
I got a template from template monster. I need to change some
things about the template for my employer’s needs.
My trouble comes when I export the site. The progress bar
pops up and quickly disappears. Then Flash 8 proceeds to crash.
The weird thing is that I have a friend that still has Flash
MX and I got him to try to export the site. It worked fine for him.
If I try the exact same file in Flash 8 it crashes.
    I don’t have Flash MX and I don’t think I can get
it. Does anybody have any ideas why a site that exports in Flash MX
does not export in Flash 8?
Thanks in advance for any information.
    Gordon Cone

    Hi Guys!
    Greg said ...
    quote:
I wonder if Captivate 2.0 will import a Captivate 1.0 and then
export to Flash with the tweens intact? Any idea yet?]
    Hey
Rick, you only made one mistake (but for you even that is
    rare). Greg said
"with the tweens intact" ... and you read
    "... when tweens interact.".
I'm sure you'll agree that with the clarification, it's not
confusing except the extent to which Greg expects or desires that
movement of objects - including "transitions"? - in the original
Captivate project be preserved after bringing it into Flash 8. As
    far as CP1 - to - CP2 - to Flash 8 is concerned, CP1 projects seem
to me to be converted very well. And moving the (now CP2) project
conversion into Flash 8, there is little that won't come along
    nicely.
Yes, Greg, including the tweens, which are preserved for the
objects I looked at specifically ... but the right person to answer
that question might be Mark (Fletcher) instead of myself. I
imported CP movies to Flash 8 only to see if it was being done
without the previous loss of non-supported elements (etc.) but I
have no intention of actually working with my Captivate projects
inside the Flash environment - during beta, now, or ever. I just
feel that the power of Captivate is sufficient for my purposes, and
importing it to Flash 8 would accomplish little except to put the
horse in hen-house. (That makes perfect sense to me, and is greatly
humorous as well; but if you don't "get it", I don't think I can
    explain it.

Looks like it was a memory problem with the jvm.ini file.
Pumped it up to 256 and it works now.
Hope this helps anyone else in the future if they come across it.
    Thanks.

  • Keynote exporting to FLASH will not run on browsers

I have created several short keynote files that were then exported to Flash so that they can be viewed on an HTML page created by dreameweaver. However, after exporting them to a swf file and then importing the flash file into an html page all I get when opened in a browser is a white screen with no flash. I have latest flash player and have tried on firefox and safari. All was working fine until I upgrade Keynote 06 to 08 and went from tiger to leopasrd.
    Any susggestions??????? I am lost

Flash Player issues with Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5)
Issue 1: File upload using FileReference.upload fails in Leopard. End users are unable to browse to the file to upload.
Issue 2: Black colored blocks appear behind text in Flash content.
Solution: These issues are addressed by a refresh of the Flash Player 9 Update pre-release for Macintosh, available on Adobe Labs. The Macintosh downloads were updated on 11/1/2007 in response to user feedback and are version 9.0.98.0. The Windows and Linux downloads are still 9.0.64.0.
This fix will be in the final release of Flash Player 9 Update.
Note: All users should uninstall any currently installed Flash Player before installing the Flash Player 9 Update.
Issue 3: On an iMac, the Safari browser shows a delay during the initial transition to full-screen mode.
Solution: This is a known issue which will be addressed by a future release of Flash Player.
