Exporting to flash.... projector?

The end result of my keynote slideshow is to have it burned on a CD and be able to be opened without needing FlashPlayer or Keynote.
1) Is there a way to export it as a flash projector file?
2) Is there a simple way that anyone of you know to convert a SWF file to a projector file, without using 3rd party software?
3) is there another means to create a self-contained presentation file that will preserve effects and navigation (like hyperlinkes to 'next slide', etc')?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

What about a dvd version? or does it have to be cd?
You can use idvd to export it to a dvd...

  • Mac Projector Crashes When exported From Flash CS5.5

    Something strange that i noticed, when i had exported a presentation for a Mac,
    on a 64 bit windows 7 using flash cs5.5.
    the applicaton gets the paths of a few swfs from an XML file
    and loads them one after the other.. there is a small bit of interactivity.
    .. tested this projecter on various versions of MAC, it crashes often,crashes earlier if i switch applications.  what follows here is a part of a report that was generated on an  OS X 10.7.3,
    works fine if the projector is exported from flash cs5.
    i need it to work when exported from flash cs5.5.. any suggestions on what i need to change in my application so that it works when exported from flash cs5.5?

  • Starting a flash projector from terminal

    Hi everyone,
    i have the following problem and it drives me mad. I´m
    developing a Flash game which retrieves data from a java Server.
    For presentation I have both things, the server and the
    Flash-Projektor on the same Computer. What I want is: Both
    programms startet with on click (one doubleclick :-) ) so I tried
    to start the server using fscommand but since the Server is a never
    stopping Thread, Flash blocks and waits for the application to
    end...which will never happen. So my new try is to start the Flash
    projector from tha java server interface via runtime.exec();
    everything I need now is what I have to enter in the Terminal
    (using OSX!) to start a Flash projector. I just can´t figure
    it out.
    Another thing would be: it doesn´t have to be a
    projector...could be normal swf also...then start it with a
    standalone player...but same problem: how do i start a standalone
    player from the terminal giving it the file he should open? Are
    there parameters I can pass to it? Anybody? Help!!!

    ok well you might be able to solve this by exectuing an
    AppleScript
    from the terminal, I don't rememeber the exact command but it
    can be
    done.
    You might also consider creating you app with mProjector for
    OS X, it
    adds many new commands into Flash including and openDocument
    command
    and an executeApplication command. It also allows you te
    create
    multiple window applications via a createWindow command - so
    you may be
    able to do what you need to in one application. Oh yeah and
    there are
    Flash Shaped windows, sometime very cool for games...
    check it out the calls mentioned a all here on the API docs
    page
    http://www.screentime.com/software/mprojector/docs/index.html
    Download the demo, it will installed the mProjector classes
    right into
    flash. Export your swf build the app in mProjector and away
    you go..

  • Problems with the CS4 Flash Projector

    Hi,
    I have developed a big Flash-projekt for a CD-Rom.
    When I test the swf, all works very nice, but when I build a
    *.exe, the result is not useable.
    It is very "ruckelig" (I don't know the english word).
    What can I do? Is this a CS4 bug?
    I downloaded SWF & FLV Toolbox 3.5, an converted the swf
    in an normal Flash-Projector, Version 8 and the result is very
    good!
    But why?
    I don't want to buy a product of a third party, because I
    payed much for an original CS4.
    Can you please help me and explain me why it doesn't work as
    well as the Flash-Projector, Version 8?
    Or is there an update for CS4 available?
    Thank you.
    BMo

    I have the same problem, but on a Mac and CS3. I export the projector and it just doesnt launch.
    Somebody with a solution?

  • Reading variables from a text file into a flash projector exe

    I am using Flash CS4 and my script is in ActionScript2.
    I am developing a flash projector file that runs when a user puts in a cd to guide them through the steps they need to install a program and then kicks off the installer.
    I use fscommand to run a utility that reads the users registry to determine the PCs regional settings and then writes this to a text file in the users %temp% directory.
    I then use the LoadVariablesNum command to read in the text file and get the variables.
    This was working fine when I had the text file stored in a different directory, but when I try and refer to the %temp% directory, I get an Error opening file message.
    Is there anyway to get flash to look in the %Temp% directory?
    Thanks in advance,
    Carol Lutz

    Code-tags sometimes cause wonders, I replaced # with *, as the code tags interprets # as comment, which looks odd:
    ******...*.........To your code: Did you test it step by step, to find out about what is read? You could either use a debugger (e.g., if you have an IDE) or system outs to get a clue. First thing to check would be, if the maze size is read correctly. Further, the following loops look odd:for(int i = 0; i < maze.length; i++) {
        for(int x = 0; x < maze.length; x++) {
            if (input.hasNextLine()) {
                String insert = input.nextLine();
                maze[x] = insert.charAt(x);
    }Shouldn't the nextLine test and assignment be in the outer loop? And assignment be to each maze's inner array? Like so:for(int i = 0; i < maze.length; i++) {
        if (input.hasNextLine()) {
            String insert = input.nextLine();
            for(int x = 0; x < insert.size(); x++) {
                maze[i][x] = insert.charAt(x);
    }Otherwise, only one character per line is read and storing a character actually should fail.

  • Mouse clicks and path not exporting to flash

    Hey Guys, I've just started using Captivate v5 and all seems to work fine but when I export to Flash CS5, the mouse animates as linear and the click effect doesn't appear. If I preview from captivate the paths and clicks are there. If I click the mouse icon on the slides, they are all set to flash blue circle and straight pointer path is unchecked. The slides do not contain live film either, just screenshots. If I go into the movie in flash, the tween is there but no motion path. Any ideas?  Thanks

    Yeah, when I export to flash it opens the doc as AS3. Also, I noticed the default click effect does work, but when I change to any of the custom ones it gets ignored by flash.

  • Quicktime movie export from Flash CS3 is skipping frame.

    When I try to export Quicktime movie from Flash CS3, the
    resulting mov file is skipping frames. i.e.: The movie is showing
    frame number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 7, 10, 11, 12, 12, 12, 15
    etc...
    As you can see the frame number 7 is repeated 3 times and
    frame 8 and 9 are nowhere to be found.
    The last configuration I used is 960x540, Sorenson video 3
    medium quality, 25 fps, keyframe every 25 frames. 6400 kbits/s.
    I tried various configurations,with different codecs and even
    with keyframe all frames and I always get simillar problems.
    Anyone have an idea what is going on, and how to fix this?
    Thank you,
    Olivier.

    The QT exporter in Flash is honestly my least favorite
    feature - not the feature itself but how it
    works (or how it doesn't work in some cases). For me it is
    almost unusable unless you have a very
    short timeline, small stage, lower frame rate - like AS
    generated effects or something - otherwise,
    for true frame accuracy to video output - it is not reliable
    enough and not fast enough for any real
    world production environment.
    So typically for me - I love SWF2Video (www.flashants.com) as
    it takes any SWF and makes it into an
    AVI that is frame accurate no matter what the frame rate is -
    quite incredible - enough so that I
    always felt it should have been bundled with Flash (as well
    as Wacom tablets).
    Harmony is an incredible product - as is SOLO and TBS (Toon
    Boom mStudio) - each of those programs
    are dedicated animation programs designed for output to video
    - Flash has a lot of hats to fill and
    it was never really designed for animation to video even
    though many of us have found it suitable
    for all intents and purposes as an animation program for full
    production.
    But all in all - the quicktime exporter doesn't really
    deliver how we would expect it too I am sorry
    to say - I only hope it works as well as it does on the Mac
    (Mac users could always choose to export
    to Quicktime Video but not PC users).
    For now if I am exporting to video I keep it all on the
    timeline or nested in Graphic symbols or use
    the SWF2Video tool.
    hope this helps.

  • How do you improve quality of QuickTime movie exported from Flash?

    Hi
    I have designed a Flash animation for a client who has asked me to also provide it in a format which can be used in a film he wants to produce in Apple Final Cut Pro.  I assumed the best format would be QuickTime but whenever I export the Flash file in to QuickTime the quality of the film is awful - the graphics leave fragments of themselves behind as they move (if that makes sense?!) and the overall quality isn't very crisp.
    I have tried various export settings and followed a few tutorials online but still having no success!  If anyone can make any suggestions I would really appreciate it or is there even another file format that can be used with Final Cut Pro?
    Thanks for your advice!!

    Whenever I export an animation out for video, I always export it uncompressed.  It gives a very large file, but then you don't have to worry about it getting compressed multiple times (as the video will be compressed when completed), and I have not had any problems with it.
    If you are still having problems with QT export - I have heard reports that setting a time in the export (stop after X time, rather than stop at last frame) will get rid of it.
    And, if you still have problems exporting to QT, then I suggest exporting to AVI and converting to MOV with a separate tool.

  • Does Flashplayer 17 work with Windows 8.1? (Using Flash Projector)

    I recently started playing a game called "Realm of the Mad God". This is a Flash based game that can be played on IE11/Chrome/Firefox and since FP17 in built-into those browsers, I have no trouble loading it. However when I try to run the game with Flash Projector, I get a "Version Loading Error". I believe this is happening since I do not have FP17 installed on my computer, just as an addon in my browsers. I currently have a Windows 8.1 desktop and I can't seem to find a download for FP17 off Adobe's website. This is the most recent link that the game uses to open..  http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/AGCLoader1424381358.swf  .. Upon pasting this link into any of the three browsers listed above, the game launches near instantly. But when I launch this through Flash Projector, I get the error pasted in the image below. *Note "Hardware Acceleration" is enabled* Anyone have any ideas? Let me know if more specfic info is required.

    I'd recommend downloading RotMG from Steam, this uses Adobe AIR and is supported by Wild Shadow Studios:

    You can also run this full screen.

  • Opening an app or exe from a flash projector

    Hi everyone:
    How can I open a exe application from a flash projector. I am
    burning a project to a CD and I need (in AS3) to call out run an
    EXE when the user clicks a button.
    I tried using the code below, but what it does is it prompts
    the user to either run or download. If the user clicks run, the
    prompts them that EXE are dangerous...blah, blah....How can I make
    the EXE run from the CD automatically when the user clicks on the
    "search" button without any notices (like other CDs do)?
    I cant find this anywhere. I know in AS2 you can use
    fscommand, but I read on line that this is not supported anymore.
    thank you for your help.
    Rafael.

    Ok, Flash continues to infuriate me!
    I have removed the 'settings' file parameter from my
    fscommand call to see if my projector would at least launch the
    .exe file, as per the following code . . .
    fscommand("exec", "Ripstation Lite.exe");
    But nothing happened . . .
    I also tried another Windows .exe to see if it would work and
    again it failed to launch anything . . .
    fscommand("exec", "C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe");
    This .swf is wrapped by Zinc to produce a Projector .exe file
    but yet it fails to launch either .exe file! Why is this!?!?

    Der aufgerufene Media Encoder stürzt beim Video-Export aus flash immer ab. Weiß Jemand warum?

    Hallo Mylenium,
    Du hast absolut Recht! Meine Anfrage war derart allgemein, dass Niemand damit etwas anfangen konnte. Ich habe das Problem mit dem Adobe-Chat lösen können, es hatte mit meiner AMD-Grafikkarte und einem anderen AMD-Gerät zu tun, deren Treiber aktualisiert werden mussten! Das nächste mal werde ich mich deutlicher zu verstehen geben;-)

  • Export in Flash MX works Flash 8 crashes

    I have Flash 8 professional and I admit I am very much a
    beginner at flash.
    I have taken a basic flash class so I know a few things.
    I got a template from template monster. I need to change some
    things about the template for my employer’s needs.
    My trouble comes when I export the site. The progress bar
    pops up and quickly disappears. Then Flash 8 proceeds to crash.
    The weird thing is that I have a friend that still has Flash
    MX and I got him to try to export the site. It worked fine for him.
    If I try the exact same file in Flash 8 it crashes.
    I don’t have Flash MX and I don’t think I can get
    it. Does anybody have any ideas why a site that exports in Flash MX
    does not export in Flash 8?
    Thanks in advance for any information.

    Hi Guys!
    Greg said ...
    quote:
    I wonder if Captivate 2.0 will import a Captivate 1.0 and then
    export to Flash with the tweens intact? Any idea yet?]
    Hey
    Rick, you only made one mistake (but for you even that is
    rare). Greg said
    "with the tweens intact" ... and you read
    "... when tweens interact.".
    I'm sure you'll agree that with the clarification, it's not
    confusing except the extent to which Greg expects or desires that
    movement of objects - including "transitions"? - in the original
    Captivate project be preserved after bringing it into Flash 8. As
    far as CP1 - to - CP2 - to Flash 8 is concerned, CP1 projects seem
    to me to be converted very well. And moving the (now CP2) project
    conversion into Flash 8, there is little that won't come along
    nicely.
    Yes, Greg, including the tweens, which are preserved for the
    objects I looked at specifically ... but the right person to answer
    that question might be Mark (Fletcher) instead of myself. I
    imported CP movies to Flash 8 only to see if it was being done
    without the previous loss of non-supported elements (etc.) but I
    have no intention of actually working with my Captivate projects
    inside the Flash environment - during beta, now, or ever. I just
    feel that the power of Captivate is sufficient for my purposes, and
    importing it to Flash 8 would accomplish little except to put the
    horse in hen-house. (That makes perfect sense to me, and is greatly
    humorous as well; but if you don't "get it", I don't think I can
    explain it.

  • Flash projector x-platform maddness-- Can't "show extension" in Mac OS

    Hi has anyone else seen this one?  Outputting flash projectors from CS4.  No problem, in running the mac version on my platform.  The issue is that when my associate emails the projector file from the PC it turns into a folder.  I've tried to "unhide" the extension in the mac info pane (Snow leopard and Leopard) but the I can't unclick the "hide extension".  The best solution I've been able to come up with is to add ".hqx" in the file name which automatically then show the ".app" extension even though the "hide extension" is still toggled on and is greyed out (not selectable)...
    Is there a better solution?
    thanks

    hi 856105
    Just based on the information you provide, when you ...
    ... tried to just run the ojdeploy under#HOME/Oracle/Middleware/jdeveloper/jdev/bin/ojdeploy in terminal ...... and that resulted in the message ...
    ... Type the full pathname of a J2SE installation ...... have you tried to "Type the full pathname of a J2SE installation " ?
