Exporting to ipod video from Premiere 5.1 OS 9

I still make films with an upgraded Beige G3 533mhz OS 9.2, QT Pro6, Adobe Premiere 5.1c. My movie files are component video codec as per my video digitizer pci card. I need to efficiently export completed movie projects for Ipod 60GB and for DVD playback.I drag files over to G5 Dual2.7 and have several 3rd party video utilities including Tiger OS. I can export as Mp4 in Adobe, but I do not know what settings to use.So far I am creating QT movies that wont' play or transfer to Ipod Video.

Hi Rexy, welcome to Discussions. These are the video specs of the iPod:
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
Hope this helps.

  • When exporting video from Premiere Pro?

When exporting a video from Premiere Pro it makes a .m4v file instead of .mp4, even though it saids in the Premiere Pro that it will make a mp4 file - and I can't use them afterwards. It has been there after I have updated last time.

Also, make sure that you check the box marked "Export Audio" if you want a MP4 extension.

  • Problems exporting mpeg 2 videos from a Mac

Can someone explain to me why when I'm trying to make and mpeg 2 video from Premiere Pro CS6 and using Media Encoder and when this open it begins to work but it freeze and doesn't complete the task? I thought it was my Blackmagic Intensity Pro but it has the latest updates. Thanks.

We'd need a bit more info to troubleshoot this, but here's a few things to check:
Is there enough space on the destination you're encoding to?
Do you have Multiplexing turned on?  If so, AME sometimes appears unresponsive during this phase.  If the freeze is happening after the encoding progress bar has completed, try an export with Multiplexing turned off and see if encoding completes.  If so, you may just need to wait a bit longer for  Multiplexing to finish.
Try exporting with GPU turned off, if it works the problem might be related to your video card
Try exporting directly out of Premiere, not thru AME

Video & TV out settings seem correct-I can see album cover, but no video. Is it possible to get itunes music videos to play or do I need to get new ipod.   It works on my iPad and iPhone, but not through iPod Classic.

Are these music videos located under Videos on your iPod?  Do it play other regular movies (if you have any on the device)?

I tried Premiere Pro CC and got the same result. Can you update to Premiere Pro CC 2014 or later and try another test?

Okay, so I had to re-install iTunes. My iTunes library is currently empty. I can make a new back up and the location of the songs not having changed, these will be available in my library?

  • Exporting in Hd format from premiere

Hello, I hava a really simple question about exporting in Hd format from premiere.
    Proyect:
Flash ANIMATION (1280x720) at 12 frames, Soundboth AUDIO at 44, 1000 stero, plus lots of incidental on mp3.
    Duration: 4:00 minutes.
I want to know what is the best way to export this kind of projects into a very small compression, I'm talking about 4mg and still be able to watch the animation at a acceptable compressed quality?

You'll have to experiment until you get one whose quality and file size are acceptable.

  • How do I export an animated GIF from Premiere CC?

How do I export an animated GIF from Premiere CC?
I dont see an Animated codec option

    Hi Nick
    Believe me I STARTED there.
I wouldnt post this message if I didnt try there first.
I do not see Animated GIF as a codec option.
Please walk me through the step by step process of how you got this.
Because it is not as obvious as you're making it out to be.
Further more perhaps a certain format has to be selected for Animated GIF options to appear?
YES I AM ON CC version too. thanks!

  • I am trying to export a video from Premiere Pro.  I have both audio and video checked and the sequence is active but only the audio exports.  There is no video at all.  Can anyone tell me how to get the video to export.  It was working fine until today.

Premiere Pro CC has been working fine until today.  I have completed my sequence and it is active.  I have both audio and video checked when I am exporting using H.264 with Match Source Hi bitrate.  I am choosing entire sequence.  The audio exports but the video and title does not.  Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this so I can complete this project?  Please!

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • How can I export a completed project from Premiere Elements?

There are a number of formats you can export from Premiere Elements. All are available under the Share tab and the major output formats are available under the Personal Computer option.
To export your completed video for use in another project, use the DV-AVI output option.
To export your video for display on the internet, use the WMV or MOV output options.

I experienced the same problem as mreingrover. The Share features of iMovie appear to be completely unimplemented.
I had had MacKeeper installed for a short while on my previous Mac; never on my new MacBook Pro. I could not find any trace of it in Application Support, Launch Daemons, or LaunchAgents, in either my user Library or the root Library. But I figured maybe there was some trace somewhere that had been copied over from the old system, so I deleted iMovie and went to reinstall it from the App Store.
Now the App Store wants $14.95 for an app that has never worked right, and which is (I think) supposed to be free with my new MacBook Pro Retina.

  • Exporting to Ipod video help?!?

I have updated all the software (quicktime pro/ Itunes). I then went to export from Quicktime. Once this file was made (mp4) I dragged it to itunes. Then I connected my IPod and a warning message appeared....telling me that the file did not copy as Ipod could not play this file. I then reexported making sure that I did click on the ipod setting!!! No luck...
Might anyone have any suggestions...I'm new to mac (just switched) and I can't figure this easy task out!!!

I found this link via google. Maybe it will help. It's a freeware QT to Ipod video converter.

  • How to export edited GoPro mov from Premiere with same settings & similar size?

I feel like this should be easy but every time I try to export my edited video it's much bigger than the original, or it's smaller and bad quality.
My business partner sent me a 720p GoPro MOV that is 33:50 long and 1.78GB. I edited out 3 minutes and want to render in the same quality.
I've tried exporting as MOV and MP4 with various settings and it either ends up huge, like 25GB or more, or half the size and terrible quality.
I also tried rendering "match sequence settings" and it chooses a GoPro codec with a weird file extension (MXF).
The closest I've gotten is H.264 "Match Source - High bitrate" but that's still 2.29GB
    Thanks,
    Phil

i would guess the gopro MOV file that was sent to you is h264. you can adjust the bitrate on export to h264 from premiere so its smaller. if you want more compression with sightly better quality you will have to export as dnxhd/prores or even uncompressed and then use a program like handbrake to transcode to x264 or x265.
