Exporting to QT audio problems

I used to be able to export presentations to Quicktime. For some reason, I have lost the ability to create movies with audio. No matter what settings I use. Yes, I have tried all default settings. I also do not see a separate file for audio, as mentioned by others, but then I never saw one when I could create QT files with audio.
I have updated Quicktime, but I can't figure it out.
p.s.: I also can't choose smaller file settings. The MPGs are cropped drastically or have a large green border if I go lower than full-size.
Thanks for whatever assistance you can give me.

This is a known problem with Keynote. Version 3.0.2 is not able to hold a transition until the end of a movie when presenting live, so the workaround is to place a build approximately equivalent in length to the audio or video.
As you've seen, the problem comes when you export to QuickTime as that delay is in ADDITION to the content. The only workaround is to build two presentations, one with the delay built in for live presentations and another with no delays that's intended for QuickTime export. If you keep these two in sync, then you always have a presentation ready whether you're doing it live or needing to export it to QuickTime.

  • Weird audio problems with Motion when exporting quicktime videos

I have a Motion project with 2 video clips of people talking. When I create a RAM preview everything plays back fine. When I export a quicktime, the first second or so of each video clip (within the quicktime) have no audio. I've adjusted the in and out of each clip in Motion but I don't think that would make the audio disappear on export. Thinking it was just a bad export, I tried just exporting the audio and the same thing happens.
    Here's what i'm using:
    Mac Pro dual 3.0 Xeon
    10 gigs of RAM
    Motion 2.1.2

    hi,
motion 2 had some odd audio problems that surfaced now and then. The only way round it was to bring the clip into FCP and edit the audio in there, and then export from fcp.
Motion 3 might have fixed this. Not sure havent had the problem for some time, since I make sure all finnishing is done in FCP.
    hope this helps

  • MXF export with audio problems

    Hi!
At the brodcast station that I work we recently upgrade to premiere CC. Our workflow are almost XDCAM files (MXF) and whe an edition is finished we export to MXF to play out or copy to XDCAM disc.
Recently I have a multi camera project and everything works perfect but when I export to an MXF file the sound as a "blank frame" in sound. The concert as an hour and twenty minutes and at the fisrt second
theres is that little "cut" in sound that doesn't exist in timeline.
I tryed various ways to export and everytime I got this frame in the same place. I also export timelines with 2 minutes from other projects, more simple, and always I got a "blank frame" somewhere in audio.
Tryed to export with 2 channels, 8 channels, stereo timeline multichannel timeline and everything result in a MXF in this audio issue.
Anyone already detect this exporting to MXFs, any sugestion to resolve this problem?

Thank you norok65 for replying this post.
I searched for some post with my problem and I didn't find so I post this one. I'm "glad" that I'm not the only one having this Kind of problem.
Like you said the problem cames with some updates. We used Premiere CS5 and no problem with MXF. We tryed the CS6 to possible update and
at the begining no problem but after some updates this problem appears and we abandoned the CS6 and we tested the CC. No problem with CC
and we did the migration. So, CC export MXFs with no problem but after some updates the audio problems came up again.
I think the problem is the updates and Adobe must fix this.
Jim, I already did some tests and exported only audio to WAV and no problem. Other formats like quictime no problem too.
This kind of problem only appears with MXF.
Like I said our workflow are almost everything in MXF (XDCAM) and we wish this issue can be solved.

  • Audio problems when exporting files from Premiere Pro CS5

I try to post in English.
I have audio problems in Premiere Pro CS5 when exporting a film.
I cut an interview. The sound seems not to be synchronized when exporting a file. It doesn´t matter what file format I export. On cutting points the sound is different to the sound I hear in premiere. In premiere the audio sounds very good but in exported file I hear cracks on cutting points.
When I reimport the audio file an put it in the timeline the synch point is correct but the interview differs about 2 frames to the original audio in premiere.
The material was filmed on Sony ex3. The files are XDCam HD. I have updated the production suite.
    Thanks for answers

Also, make sure that you check the box marked "Export Audio" if you want a MP4 extension.

  • Audio problems after exporting out of iMovie

    Aloha!
I have a 48 minute movie created in imovie with lots of audio, clips and transitions. It works perfectly when I preview or play it in iMovie. When I try to share it to iDvd, export to iDvd, or to save it as a Quicktime movie, it looks great for several minutes, then the audio tracks get messed up. The correct audio is there, but overlayed on it is snippets from farther into the project, or whole tracks from later in the project, or places where the audio drops out completely. I spent about 70 hours creating this movie and really want to burn it to DVD so I can play it on the big screen. I did burn one version to dvd, and it looked and sounded great - until the audio problems began... any help would be greatly appreciated.
In Garage Band there is a feature where you can consolidate your bits into one track - should I be doing something in iMovie after I finish it before I export it?

what kind of speed changes do you mean? If you mean using some clips in slo-mo (with the sound dropped out) then yes I used a LOT of them... but they are also working fine for the first several minutes...

  • Problem exporting sped-up audio (1500x)

I have footage from a GoPro Hero 3+, in MP4 format, that I imported into Premiere. I've sped up the video/audio using Speed/Duration to 1500% of its original speed. I can render it in the timeline etc, but once I try to export it, the audio that has been sped up is absent. All the rest of the unmodified audio makes it.
When I try to edit it in Audition, the result from stretching at 25% and then about 35% doesn't create nearly the same effect as it does when the audio is accelerated in Premiere. Any ideas, folks?

    Hi Mark,
Thanks for your response (was my first post). I'm using CS6 6.05, on Mac.
I'm using Export. Do you need more details on the export settings? It's h.264 with most settings maxed out, off the top of my head.
Two scenarios when trying to import the audio into Audition; when the clip in the timeline has the speed/duration effect at 1500%, and I right click, then click Edit Clip in Audition, the clip that opens in Audition is one without any sound at all. If I remove the effect, there is audio there, but I wasn't able to duplicate the effect that Premiere can do of speeding it up to the equivalent of 1500% (which I approximated by "stretching" to 25% of its duration, and then 35%).
I was able to get the correct result in Audacity (not Adobe, obviously), and the final result is here at :28s, with the sped-up footage and mechanical sounds. The Big Picture! - Allegheny College - YouTube
From searching for the answer, it sounds like other people have had a similar issue (one on the Adobe Forums, actually, but it was unanswered).
Any ideas? For the time being I suppose I can use Audacity, but I'd prefer to stay within the CS if possible.

  • Audio Problems when burning

I have tried making disc image, burning disc and the audio will pause for second several times in the play back. It does not do it when playing back in iDVD.
The slide show was started in iPhoto and sent to iDVD. I have started over several times and still same issue. Makes a bad impression and is really not useable for presentation.
I have 30 gigs free space, changed settings to Professional encoding and still same issue. I have no open apps, changed all energy settings and screen saver to never.
Any ideas, I am fresh out, never had this problem with previous version.

    Andy,
This question is really in the wrong place - this is the iDVD '08 forum and not the iDVD 5 forum.
From the description of your problem using Toast, it sounds like you didn't actually export a DV video movie out of iMovie.
Export a DV video movie out of iMovie (it will run 13 GB per hour) and play it back with the QuickTime Player to see if the audio settings you made are really there. If this movie plays OK, you can bring IT into iDVD or Toast for turning it into a DVD.
If the DV video movie you created STILL has audio problems in the QuickTime Player, ask you question about THAT issue in the correct iMovie forum.

  • IMovie audio problems when burning in Toast 6

    Hi,
i've tried to burn an imovie project in idvd 5 but i get 'the error #-1 was reported' like most people have been and i've tried loads of things suggested to fix it with no joy.
I then sent the imovie project to toast titanium 6 where it burned fine. However, when i watched it i noticed that although toast had picked up all the audio (both dv audio and aiff), it did not pick up all the volume adjustments during the movie. how annoying! for example: i have an aiff clip that fades into a movie clip with the sound gradually going down but Toast picks up the sound staying at the same level. this also happens with volume adjustments in a DV file.
Any suggestions why this happens / how i can fix it?
    Cheers,
    Andy

  • Entire Array of Audio Problems

    Hello,
We just recently bought Apple's Final Cut Studio bundle, and it's been a real help. However, I'm running into some problems already. During my time with Final Cut Express, I had problems with audio segments "missing" when a section of the project was exported. For no apparent reason, in the exported file, certain audio tracks would simply cease to play. Sometimes this was solved with removing the track and pasting it back in, but not always. After we upgraded to Final Cut Pro, I had hoped that these problems would be solved. They were... at first. Now we're encountering them again. For some reason, selecting "Mixdown" from the "Render Only" menu seems to have abated the missing audio bug for now, but I don't know if that's really the reason. If anyone knows why these clips of audio are missing in the export, please tell me. Now, onto the next problem...
For some reason, audio clips won't fade out when they're supposed to. I have several audio clips which fade out gradually over the course of their playing, but when I export the project, these clips don't fade out, and instead they stop abruptly at the end. Obviously, this doesn't sound very good, as they're supposed to fade out. Does anyone know what is causing this?
    PowerMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    Another problem, less severe:
At times, while playing a section in FCP, the volume of my music will appear to dynamically adjust its volume to compare to what else is playing at the same time. This makes it very hard for me to adjust the volume levels of my clips properly, since I never know if its playing at the volume that it should be when I export it.

  • Export Quicktime with Audio - timings to advance slides  -does not work

    Mac OS 10.6.1
    iMac 27" 4 GB 1067 MHZ
    Keynote 09 - 5.03
    I opened a .ppt
I added an windows media file after getting it into GarageBand - so a GarageBand file actually
I timed the slides - this does not work either as a side remark - you can not just enter seconds there - they disappear - you need to use the arrows
If I test the slideshow, it runs nice in Keynote.
If I export it to Quicktime, the sound works, the slides do not advance.
(I think I had it once working before I moved my files to my new Mac)
    Help please
    nico

I'm just posting this as a general discovery....
I too have had many many frustrations with creating a slide show with audio clips linked to individual slides and a soundtrack music background. Of course this records fine and plays back fine in KN. The problem lies in any form of sharing/exporting. The audio either disappears or the timing goes nutty.
What I discovered was....During a manual recording in which I advance the slides and the builds within the slides, the tap of the space bar directly correlates to when the audio would stop in the exported version. ie. Slide one, audio set to start automatically after transistion, text has no builds, Slide 2, audio set to start automatically, text builds with each bullet. In the exported version the second I hit the space bar to create the first build during the recording, is where the audio is cut off in the exported version.
Therefore, if I go through each and every slide and set the timing for each and every build, transition, etc. , then record the slideshow so that I never have to hit the space bar to create builds (transitions to next slide seems to be fine) my exported recording seems to play back without problems. This is very tedious but seems to work (so far).
I hope I have explained my findings clearly. I also hope that this is somewhat helpful to the rest of the world

  • Exporting 5.1 audio from Audition to single, multichannel audio file

I'm having problems exporting 5.1 audio.  I need to be able to import a 5.1 (or 8 channel file, if left total and right total are included), edit one of the channels individually, and export the session to a single .WAV file containing 6 (or 8) separate channels.
So far, I've been able to split the original multichannel file to 6 mono files, and put them on their own tracks.  But every time I try to export, I either end up with 6 channels (but only two with audio on them), or 6 completely blank channels.  I've tried every combination of Mixdown Options and Master track routing I can think of, but to no avail.
I'm using Audition 7.0.0.118.  Please help.  If you respond, please be as specific as possible, since I'm a n00b at this.  Thanks.

Are you opening the mono files into a 5.1 Multitrack session and using the surround panner to send them to the appropriate tracks?
What do you need to do to the one track that needs editing separately? You might be better off opening the audio as a multichannel file in the Waveform Edit view and do any processing on the one track there. You will then be able to save out to the same multichannel format as the original.

  • Premiere Pro dropped audio after export, AME no audio

Similar problem in both premiere & AME - clips are exporting with video but no audio.
When queueing up jobs in AME, they'll finish with no Audio & now even exporting directly from the timeline in Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 (just updated 2014-12-14) our clips still have no audio.
All clips have conformed on the timeline before beginning export.
This is happening despite trying these various solutions... re-installing Premiere, starting a new project, choosing a new Scratch Disk with 3 TB of available hard drive space... also our operating system is a 2014 3.5 GHz i7 32GB RAM iMac, running Mavericks with a 256 GB Flash Hard Drive, so RAM or HD speed should not be an issue?
Any advice or a solution would be greatly appreciated.  We export dozens of jobs a day and cannot find a reason why this Adobe Premiere Pro & AME Software is not working correctly & giving us dropped audio upon export - very frustrating, thanks for the help...

I have 2 macs, screenshot with identical export setting was from 2nd mac. if you can repro now here is a 2014.2 screenshot & same export settings on the 2014.2 mac; issue occurs on both computers thanks - also this timeline, before export I had audio on all tracks.  Here is a screenshot of the timeline post export; all of the audio is gone?  It was there at time of export

  • Cannot Export MPEG2 with Audio

    Hi Guys
I have a bizare problem. I've been trying to export a short 2 min movie to MPEG 2 for YouTube but it won't export the audio with video and exports the audio as a separate file (yes, the export audio box is checked)! Yet it will export with audio to AVI. What could I have switched off or need to switch on?
Can anyone advise please? The movie was captured using the DV PAL Codec (720x576). The export settings are:

Turn on the Multiplexer. You have been exporting el;ementary streams resulting in two files, one for video and one for audio. You have to make the export a transport stream to get a single file with both video and audio.
