Exporting to QuickTime difficulties (PLEASE HELP)

I would like to start off by saying that Keynote 08 is an amazing presentation tool. I would like to convert the presentation that I have created and put it on a CD since all the transitions and the build in's and out's are set automatically. The presentation is currently set to a slide size of 1680 x 1050 and consist of 25 slides with about 17 them with full screen video playing. I have exported to QuickTime on numerous of times but for some reason or another it just doesn't export it with the full quality. Quicktime at times will get stuck as it is doing the presentation and it doesn't always follow the background music I have set. Sometimes it will finish before the song and sometimes the presentation will finish and the song will be interrupted by being cut short. When I export I'm currently using the manual advances and the Full Quality Large format. I only checked off the "include the slideshow soundtrack" option but like I said, the soundtrack doesn't completely always follow the presentation. PLEASE HELP! This is my company presentation and I have received a lot of positive feedback but I want to take it to the next level by making them in a DVD. Again, PLEASE HELP!

Had the same problems as Albert8119. My presentation had five slides of varying length, each with multiple builds, also of varying length. Had a music presentation in the background of the presentation, together with individual voice-overs to each slide. As a Keynote presentation it was fine; so much so that the client asked for both QT movie and iDVD copies on disk. Exporting to either proved to be an absurdly complex task (it should be easy!) as timing in builds and transitions went awry. Eventually, after much experimentation, I found that lengthening the builds (often by several seconds) resulted in excellent QT movie and IDVD. It is a pity that such an excellent presentation program (leaving Powerpoint for dead) should come up short at that point. Apple can do better than that. Next time I'll try King_Leo's solution.

  • QuickTime crash - please help :(

All quicktime files play good on MediaPlayer,
but on QT when I press Play - the whole PC crashes after
    5 secondes of playing.
It happened on 6 and 7 vession and with iTunes as well.
I did reinstall for both QT and iTunes but nothing helps
    please help me guys.

I would say it's hardware not installed correctly or a video card driver that is not compatible. Everytime I've had the same problem wether it be a crash or lockup, that is what it ended up being. And I find video card drivers very difficult, the latest driver for a card, is not always the one that will work on the computer.

  • ITunes and Quicktime issue (Please Help)

So last night I download the update for iTunes. Everything seemed to be going fine, I didn't have any problems. This morning I turn on my computer and try to run iTunes and it gives me an error message, an dwon't even open iTunes. Not only that, I can't run any Quicktime file, it gives me the same message. I downloaded the installer again and attempted to repair iTunes. It said I was sucessful, but when I tried opening iTunes or Quicktime the error still appeared. This is really frustrating, this is what I get for updating? Someone please help!

you'll probably want to run the standalone quicktime install
also, what is the error message that you are getting?

I have found some solutions to this problem on the apple support forms but i can't follow those steps because i dont know what those steps mean , i mean i can't understand the computer language. Please help me and provide a solution with visuals. A VIDEO WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! BUT SCREENSHOTS would work too.

Hi, and thanks for taking the time and answering my post!
Ok, it's not just one website that's causing the problem, it's any time I go to open anytihing that uses the Quicktime player. It happens on the internet as well as files that I have stored on my hard drive.
The processor that I have is an Athlon XP2000+ and I have 480 MB of RAM.
I think all of the problems started when I installed the iTunes with the Quicktime player included in it. Prior to that, I was having no trouble viewing anything.
    Again, thanks for your help!

  • Can't install quicktime 7 please help!

I installed the newest itune (7) yesterday and tried to install quicktime 7 on my g4 cube. I am running tiger and quicktime 7 will not install. It keeps saying try again later. I have repaired all permissions, restarted the computer, but still will not insatll. PLEASE HELP!

rather than running the Installation "online", try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to your hard drive (the desktop is a fine location) and then running the install from there by doubleclicking the QuickTimeInstaller.exe file.
Does that install go through any better?

  • Exporting for DVD? Please help, I'm going nuts.

    Hi all,
Pretty huge issue at the moment. I have a deadline to meet and I can't export my movie out of Final Cut to a DVD. How can I export the timeline for a DVD quality finished product? I don't have Compressor installed and I think this is a major issue. I tried printing to tape so I could bring the project over to Adobe Premiere and use Encore to publish the DVD, but every time I try to print to tape it constantly drops frames and it's hopeless.
If anyone has any suggestions at all please help me!
    Thanks,
    Daryl

thing is, I don't have FCS...I have FCP. I had my software installed where I bought my mac from, and I've came to realize now that I have nothing else but FCP installed...there is nothing else there that came with FCS. It's not really a huge problem because I can take my mac back whenever I want to get the owner to install any software I need, but that's kind of an issue at the moment considering I have deadlines. I can't afford to have my mac sitting at their office for a day or two at this point.
If I can just figure out how to print this thing back to tape so I can bring it into Premiere on my PC and use Encore to make the DVD everything will be golden. I'm just having HUGE issues trying to print this to tape...which shouldn't be a problem in the first place. (that I have encountered anyway).

  • 'Preparing data for exporting' takes forever (Urgent, please help)

    Hello,
I'm currrently editing a 1920x800 anamorphic Full HD project on Premiere Pro CS5. The original full HD clips were replaced with AE-comps using Dynamic link for color grading. The project is 15 minutes long and mainly consists of linked AE-comps. The sound is filled with gunshot sound effects, music and original recorded audio. That audio is also linked with Soundbooth for some postwork.
Here's the problem: when i hit the 'Export' on Premiere pro I get the window, i choose my settings (H.264 10 mbps) and then when I hit the 'Qeue' button it shows the progress bar 'Preparing data for export' and Media Encoder starts up normally. The problem is nothing happens afterwards. The project doesn't get loaded in AME and the progress bar keeps on telling forever that it's 'preparing data for export' Normally this process only takes up a minute or 2 max. How can i fix this?
    Editing rig:
    27 inch imac
    4 gigs ram
    2.53 i5 processor
    ATI 4850
Please help me with this, my deadline is within 4 hours
    Thank you!

I have some suggestions you can try.
    1. Can you try exporting directly from inside Premiere, instead of adding to AME from PR?
    - press the Export button inside the Export Settings Dialog, not the Queue button
    2. Can you import the sequence directly into AME?
    - launch AME, File menu\Add Premiere Pro Sequence
    3. Try using a different format other than, H.264.
    4. Try using PR CS5.5. You can download the trial version and use it for 30 days.
Hope this helps. If not, please re-post with test results.
    Thanks

  • HUGE PROMLEM WITH PREMIERE EXPORTING TO YOUTUBE! PLEASE HELP!

Sorry for the intriguing title, but I need to get your attention about my huge problem.
Hey, My name is Luke, I am the editor for an independent film group called unclekornicob. We are Teens who love making videos and short films, manly for Youtube. www.youtube.com/unclekornicob
We just upgraded our software from the Adobe Production Premium  7.5 to Adobe Production Premium CS5.5, manly for the Premiere Murcery play back engine, and the sweet new effects in after effects. But above all, we were SO excited to have our productions look sharp and clear in full 1080p, that takes up the full youtube video screen.
We use a Canon T2i (550 D) and the file format doesn't work the best in Adobe Premiere. So we use Adobe Media Encoder to change the .mov file to an AVI, which really helps the playback in post production.
But, when it comes time to render, we get stuck. We use the H.264 format with the "Youtube Widescreen HD" preset. It renders out smoothly, but uploading to youtube is the problem. It is SO nice how fast it uploads, but while watching it, theres 3 problems,
    1. There is a black box around the video, making it small.
    2. Its not in 1080, is just in 720
    3. Even in 720p the quality stinks, and we cant have that.
Please help, we are really stuck, and we want our productions to be perfect.
    Thanks!
    Luke

Yeah, I was hoping you wouldn;t say that!
This really helped though, switching the play back resolution help it alot, but still not good enough to edit on. Sorry if double posts are frowned upon.

  • Change in color when exporting to dvd. Please help

I have some AVCHD footage that looks great when exported to quicktime. But when burning to DVD with iDVD all colors are "stronger", especially red. (Skincolor get way too much red).
This appears both when playing back the DVD on the Mac or on a LCD screen. Have I done something wrong?

Yes, you didn't properly monitor your footage. Sorry to be so blunt.
If you want to know what your footage looks like on a TV, you need to monitor it on a TV. Your computer monitors will not get you the same colors. And since you are working with AVCHD footage that you will downconvert to a standard def DVD, you'll need something that can downconvert to SD.
Cheapest option? Decklink Intensity Pro (www.decklink.com). This requires that you have a PCIe Intel Mac Pro or Quad G5. It can downconvert the HD to SD so you can connect it to your TV and see what you will really be getting. There are other Decklink options as well that are more expensive, as well as solutions from www.aja.com and the MXO from www.matrox.com.

  • Can't Play HDV 1080p24 Quicktime Movie - PLEASE HELP!

I have a self-contained Quicktime file that plays fine using the Quicktime application on my computer that has Final Cut Pro installed on it. However, when I move that Quicktime to my computer that does not have Final Cut Pro, it says I don't have the proper codec. (It plays the audio fine, but the video is just a black screen.)
Can I download this specific codec on my non-FCP computer so that I can play this file?
Here are the specifics on the Quicktime in question:
    Format:
    HDV 1080p24, 1440 x 1080 (1888 x 1062), Millions
16-bit Integer (Little Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHz
And, if it helps at all, we footage was created with a Canon XL-H1 camera, imported into FCP, edited, and exported as a Quicktime file using current settings. And, the non-FCP computer does have Quicktime Pro installed.
    Thanks!

Gonna have to look at a third party solution...
#51 - Cannot view DVCPRO HD or HDV or ProRes on my computer.
Shane's Stock Answer #51 - Cannot view DVCPRO HD, HDV or ProRes QT files on your computer.
The DVCPRO HD, HDV and ProRes codecs only comes with FCP. If your computer does not have FCP installed, it cannot view these quicktime files. It doesn't matter if it is a Mac or PC, without FCP installed, you cannot view these files.
If you need to view ProRes material, you can download the ProRes decoder (mac and windows compatible) for ProRes
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/AppleProRes_QuickTime_Decoder_1_0_forWindows.
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/AppleProRes_QuickTime_Decoder_1_0_forMac
If your footage was captured as DVCRO HD you can buy the Calibrated DVCPRO HD decoder:
    http://www.calibratedsoftware.com/QDVCProHD.asp
HDV, XDCAM? Calibrated has you covered too:
    http://www.calibratedsoftware.com/QXD.asp
If you have MXF files from a P2 camera and you need to view the footage on a computer without FCP, you can download P2CMS from Panasonic:
    http://www.panasonic.com/business/provideo/p2-hd/downloads-and-updates.asp
Or you need the other party to compress the footage into a format your computer can play, like H.264.

  • Export Layers as Files - Please Help on Error Message

Hi, Not sure if I'm doing the right thing anyway, but I'm trying to export all the layers in one file as separate JPGs. Each layer has its own name and ideally, i would like to save each layer as its layer name.
When I choose the script 'export layers to files' it flashes on each layer and then eventually comes back with the error 'Specified value greater than maximum allowed value'.
Does anyone have any idea of what this means? I have no real knowledge of scripting, it was just that this option sounded like it would do exactly what I needed!
    Thanks in advance,
    Gill

  • Error compiling movie in Premiere and failed export in AME (CS6) - PLEASE HELP!!!

    Hi,
I'm trying to export from my timeline which contains multiple mxf files shot with a canon xf105. i'm using cs6 on an apple mac and I never had this issue before:
When I try to export to a quick time movie directly from Premiere I get this message after 5 seconds:
When I send the video to AME I get this message including a sound of a sheep after 10 seconds:
I have about 100 7 second clips that make up an 11 minute movie. I copy and pasted 4 clips (28 seconds) into a new sequence and tried to export it and it worked, both directly through premiere and through AME. Does that mean that premiere and AME can't handle so many clips? Or why is it showing me an error?
I'm helpless and I need to finish this project very soon, I would be SO GRATEFUL for any help. Don't know what to do ..
    Thank you!

Thank you John. I sat all night for about 8 hours on it and found out what caused the error. I had about 100 clips in my timeline that I was trying to export as one movie. Four clips caused the error. These four clips would playback perfectly in premiere, the whole timeline would render and everything seemed normal. Only after exporting 5 clips at a time I could see where the export would fail and show an error. At the end it was four clips, these four would playback fail to export, causing the entire sequence to fail.
I have one question about this:
1 How and why did this happen? Does that happen often with MXF files shot on a canon xf camera?
2 How can I avoid this to happen again in the future?
3 Isn't there a quicker way to find out which clips are causing a problem, rather than having to export each of them first to find out (which is a very annoying thing to do if you're literallt working with hundreds of clips)?
Would be great if somebody has any insight for future reference!!!
    Thank you!
