Exporting to Vimeo with "Anyone with Password" selected

We routinely upload to Vimeo using Final Cut X's Share menu. It works great. It remembers the account and password and remembers the "Anyone with Password" password.
In Motion 5 it allows me to select the same option, but at the bottom I get a yellow triangle with "The Privacy Password field must be completed." I do not see anywhere within window or any of the tabs to allow this password to be entered.
Anyone know a workaround or a fix? This increases the workflow as I need to export, then upload through the browser.

I have created a custom setting to export to Vimeo, including my email and password.
However when applying the setting to the films to be compressed, the password information is missing and it seems like I have to input it manually for each file. What am I doing wrong?

Some sign in information is retained. You must drag the group not the setting onto the file.
The job action is retained. If you select the job in the pane, not the setting, the action will appear.
The username and password is retained as long as the application is open. Once the application is closed and re-opened the job action is retained but the password is not. That has to be entered in the job action in custom settings each time the application is opened.

Exporting to Vimeo with Premiere Pro CC?

I've searched online for guides on how to properly export video for Vimeo using Premiere Pro CC (8.0.1), but have not had any luck. Does anyone know the proper settings? Apparently with other versions of PP there are presets for vimeo and youtube, but there aren't any with the trail version I am using.

IMovie won't export to Vimeo

Trying to upload a 720p movie - data appears to be moving - Activity Monitor shows 5 GB of data uploaded, iMovie never finishes. Exported movie to desktop, then uploaded with Safari. 11 other movies exported to Vimeo with iMovie prior to this attempt.

Occasionally this happens with Facebook, YouTube or Vimeo. With YouTube the problem has more often been related to the Login credentials but occasionally will fail to upload like what you saw. Unfortunately the only work around is EXACTLY what you did, export to desktop and upload through a web browser. From reading other messages on the iMovie Discussion Group, I have not seen one original poster write back to the group with a fix or steps they took to re-enable the uploads through iMovie. It seems like it's more often the case it works, and works, then it doesn't work. And fails to work after that.

What you could do now is break up your video into smaller parts and render them out, then assemble them again as a whole.
I know this is not the best fix, but it might work.
You can duplicate an edit in the main screen, then delete the last bits and export,
do the same for the other half.
Then import the two bits (or more if you need) in a new edit.
Out of curiosity, can you post what format the video is in?
Copy a video straight from the camera to your computer.
Open it in Quicktime player, and with out playing type Apple + i
or Control + i for PCs
It should tell you lots of info about the video, and might help us to see what is wrong.

Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

Uzipping Export dump with password On LINUX

I try to unzip this dmp file with password protected
and i getting the following error
unzip -P pswd filename.zip

Nothing to do with Oracle.. basically, your free version of unzip on Linux/Unix isn't compatible with the version of zip/PKZIP you compressed it with.
Either take it to a box which has a compatible version of unzip/PKUNZIP to uncompress it, or have whoever zipped it up resend it.. maybe using gzip this time (available on all platforms for free).

How Do I Connect An Airport Extreme With Password to another Wireless Devic

We have a setup for two different wireless devices so that there are multiple locations that can get online, but the entire setup has no passwords assigned. We would like to assign passwords to both wireless devices so that only the appropriate people are getting online. How does one do this?
The first wireless device that connects directly to the modem from the phone company is a brand new Apple Airport Extreme. The computer that set up the device so that people can get a signal was from a PC that is directly connected to the Airport Extreme via an ethernet cable. Also connected to the Airport Extreme is an ethernet cable that goes (50-100ft) to another wireless device - by Netgear - which then sends out another signal to pick up wireless internet, which is the signal/network that I work from.
If we assign a password to the Airport Extreme, I'm guessing it will complete screw up the connection to the Netgear. How would that be dealt with? And, how could we then, if we wanted, set up a password for the Netgear as well. I've read some initial information on the user guide CD and online, but I don't know the terminology of whether these are networks or just wireless devices 'bridged' together, etc.
My biggest concern, is it works right now, but the owner of the devices wants to put passwords on it and I want to make sure we can keep it working even with passwords. Does anyone know how to easily set up passwords and can I do it from my computer even though they were initially set up by a PC? Or do I have to do it from the PC and if so, how, because I am completely a Mac person and am very unfamiliar with Windows. Thanks.

Select your base station, and then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu. Enter the base station password if necessary.
Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
Choose a password scheme from the Wireless Security pop-up menu.
Enter the password all users will need in order to join this wireless network.

Also, are there different types of passwords and if so, what is the most reliable one so that we don't lose connections, time out or have any other quirks?
There are different types of wireless encryption. WPA2 and WPA are the most secure especially when used with a non-dictionary password. 128 bit WEP is passable in most situations but not very strong. 40/64 bit WEP is extremely weak.
There is really no general "reliability" issue with any of them. Some devices aren't compatible with some of them.
If when we assign a password to the Apple Airport Extreme and for some reason the Netgear stops working, how do we unassign/take away the password on the Airport to get it back to the current setup that we know does work?
Follow the procedure above but disable wireless encryption instead of enabling it.

Export to epub with linked ai files result in low quality images

I have a 220 page indesign cc doc which I am exporting to epub fixed layout. I have around 100 linked ai files. When I export, the main paragraph text is crisp and lovely but the ai figures are a little fuzzy.
I have tested different settings in the 'Object Export Options' but each time it comes out the same.

I have searched around but can't seem to find anyone talking about this. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

When exporting to epub, images format changes to png/jpg/gif depending on what you have selected in EPUB Export Options dialog. Please try exporting to PNG with high resolution selected(you can change Resolution as well in Export Options dialog).

I'm having problems exporting to Youtube with Final Cut Pro X. i convert the file and upload, but the audio is not syncing properly. The video is fine. Any tips on what to do? I'm using a Canon 5 D Mark ii. 24fps, 1080

The process you suggested worked beautifully: images clear and true sound accurate.
I have over 100 30 to 60-minute videos to put on a client's YouTube channel. Using the YouTube settings in Compressor my first uploads colours were looking washed out, and the audio progressively slipped when played via the Safari browser. Your advice has fixed this issue, so thank you for taking the time to post.
To clarify what I understood your process to be for others who may wish to use it:
In FCPX choose 'Share' from the menu bar
Select 'Export Media'
In the options presented: 'Export' should be set to 'Video and Audio'; 'Video codec' as H.264; 'Audio file format' will be greyed out but show Quicktime Movie; 'Open with' will show 'QuickTime Player.app (default)'. Click 'Next'.
You'll be presented with 'Save As' options. Name the file and select where you want it to go on your drive(s), and click 'Save'.
Export will begin: my 6.84GB video, which was 45-minutes of 1920 x 1080 at 23.98fps, took about 35 minutes using a Macbook Pro 2.2 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 8 GB of RAM
When the export is complete the video should automatically open in QuickTime.
Within QuickTime go to 'File' on the menu bar and choose 'Export for Web', which is at the bottom of the drop-down menu
You'll be presented with a box that says 'Export versions of your movie optimized for web-delivery to iPhone and the desktop'. Pick what you want to name the file in the 'Export as' and then where you want it to go in 'Where' (obviously enough). You can save in three versions for different contexts, but I chose only to save as 'Broadband', with the best quality as YouTube will automatically create different versions later. Click 'Export'.
An 'Export Progress' box should appear. My file took around 45-minutes to process.
At the end of the process you will find a folder with your chosen name, rather than a file. Click on tha folder, then click on the 'Resources' Folder you will find in side. Amongst other files you'll find a .m4v file with 'broadband' at the end of the name. Rename the file and change the suffix '.m4v' to '.mp4' and upload to YouTube.
As you said this seems to save a lot of time compared to compressor (perhaps half the time?) The file that began the process at 6.84 GB ended as 1.16 GB, and looks and sounds great.

Sftp batch job with password?

Hi folks.
We're trying to develop scripts to automate the transfer of files from various Windows machines to a Linux server. Because the job involves moving multiple files to multiple directories, I wanted to use sftp's -B batchfile option to transfer the files instead of having to reauthenticate every time we transfer files to a different location. However, the man page says:
Batch mode. Reads commands from a file instead of standard input. Since this mode is intended for scripts, SFTP2 will not try to interact with the user, which means that only passwordless authentication methods will work.
I would love to use keys to get this done but unfortunately, the type of authentication on the server is out of our control and not likely to change (it's straight password). So, is there any way I can do this in batch mode with password authentication? I thought about using scp but, as far as I can tell, it doesn't have great support for delivering multiple local files (in different locations) to multiple remote locations. One would have to re-authenticate for every scp command, right?

Thanks for the recommendation, Endperform, but after reading up on expect and autoexpect, I realized I'd rather not have usernames and passwords hard coded into the script.
After much research, I think I've found a solution. It's a little odd but the Maverick Ant library does exactly what I need it to do. It can actually read an ssh profile, perform multiple transfers without having to re-authenticate and execute multiple remote commands without having to reauthenticate. The native Ant libraries can't do this. There is no sftp Ant task and the scp and sshexec tasks are lacking to say the least.
If anyone else runs into a similar situation, I highly recommend the Maverick tool.

Unable to connect to Wi-Fi with password

Hello,
I'm having a slight issue with an iPod and iPad. As the title says, I'm unable to connect to wi-fi with password encryption (WPA2). I don't understand why! I can connect to wi-fi when I take the password encryption off. I've been able to connect to wi-fi previously with password encryption enabled. I live in a complex with three other neighbors. I'd prefer to not leave the encryption off. Does anyone have an idea as to how to solve this problem? I've already tried restatarting the iPod and restarting the wireless router. I tried to forget the network as well on both devices and reconnect them, however, when I try to reconnect them it tells me "unable to connect to the network". I do not wish to do a factory reset for either devices. Also, I'm unsure whether this is related or not, but I just updated my software recently to OS 6.1.2 ...my problem began a day after doing so.

I would try another encryption but still use encryption. Also try changing the PW.

I was recently on holidays and had all my events nicely split on Dad's computer but when I went to export it I couldn't retain any of this information. Now I have to replicate this all again on my computer.
It wasn't possible to export the entire library as the external drive was fat32 format an I didn't want all of it. It would be nice to export a bunch of events to someone and have it retain the name.
Does anyone have a work around or will this be fixed at some point by Apple?
