Exporting video problems

FCP X has been working fine for me, but just recently I have been having many problems with a few projects. Playing the video in the timeline the video is fine, but once I export to quicktime or youtube, it becomes very distorted like this-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RQZG83R3Ro

I just exported the same video to youtube straight out of Final Cut and it is ok-

But it seems to be distorted if I export it straight to quicktime.

  • Exported video problem?

Hello, im having a little bit of trouble with my exported videos. Im either exporting as an mpeg-2 or h.264 with 1920x1080 resolution as thats what my camera records in. Quality looks great but im getting a black box around my video, its especially noticeable on youtube. Maybe i should find out which aspect ratio im exporting as and change it? Not even sure which ratio im doing. Heres an example:

Nevermind, forgot about project settings. It works now, thank you!

  • Png file inside Premiere Pro CS4 project - export video problem

Hi I've got a strange problem with Premiere CS4. I have a project with two layers. First (bottom) is with video material on it, and on second one (top) has a transparent PNG file. Preview looks great but after exporting it to uncompressed AVI theres a weird "shadow" round area where PNG isn't transparent.
    Preview in Premiere: http://pszajna.ires.pl/preview.jpg
    Export screen: http://pszajna.ires.pl/export.jpg

I see where Ann is going with this. I recommend you check the alpha channel in the source monitor. You may find unwanted variations in transparency.
    Cheers

  • Exporting video problem

When I export a video, there are parts of the video that are not exported. Only the first portion of the video gets exported and the parts with no audio or in slow motion didn't. I export to Windows Media since it takes up little space and the video quality pretty much remain the same.
anyone know what the problem is? Is there support to be a setting to turn on/off?

Only 45 seconds of a ~2 minute video gets exported. I need to set in and out points on the whole clip? I just set the in and out points on the video before I edit it and basically add slow motion at the end.
and yes I do have the full version of flip for mac. I even played it in VLC.

  • I'm having problem with exporting video from premiere pro cc 2014

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 and I'm having problem with exporting video.
When I click Export and media, the window for exporting appears and it starts exporting video.
But after a few minutes, it looks like it has completed exporting video and says there's a bug in exporting.
It literally says it has a problem with compiling, but I don't know what the real problem is.
I tried many things like restarting computer and Premire Pro but it's no use.
But it works when I use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 for exporting video.
If anyone knows any possibilities about why this problem happens, please let me know.

I'm having a similar issue.  When I go to export my project, I add it to the render queue, set it up with the h.264 settings that I've used with countless past versions of the program, and then hit render.  Randomly, at some point in the process, the render just stops and the ETA just keeps climbing.  I actually had to save an XMF file of the CC 2014 project and bring it into the previous CC version of Premiere just to finish it.  Even a clean re-install of CC 2014 doesn't work.

  • Lightroom 5.4 exported videos in PRE 10 problems

Recently started making MP4 exported slideshows in newly installed LR 5.4.  When I import them into PRE 10 projects, I'm getting playback artifacts  in the PRE 10 monitor that are very strange.  The videos seem to be playing back fine, but all of sudden, in the middle of playing the picture videos, green screens and most often red screens are interpolated between the pictures playing back.  Some of the pictures in the video are also missing in the playback.  The interpolated screens will last for up to 30 seconds in the PRE timeline.  The exported videos play fine in Windows Media Player and other playback programs.
    Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing:
I never had these problems with previous versions of LR exported slideshows.  I experimented loading test projects in PRE 10 with video exported from earlier versions of LR (LR4 and 5.3).  None of those earlier videos had the problems I'm now experiencing with the newly exported LR 5.4 videos
Any ideas as to why these problems might be happening now with LR 5.4 videos?  Are there any project setttings or preferences in PRE 10 that would fix this problem? Is there a bug in either program?  Or is there some other issue I'm not seeing?
    Thanks!
FYI: Windows 7 Home Premium; Intel i-7 3.5GHZ Quad Core; 8 MB memory

Thanks John.  Below is a comparison of 2 videos from MediaInfo.  The file on the left is from LR5.4, the one on the right is from LR 4.4.
Note that the LR 5.4 MP4 slideshow export includes actual videos that are in the slideshow as well as still pictures.  Since it includes actual videos, it also includes audio.  The LR 4.4 MP4 does NOT include any audio since LR 4.4 only created the MP4 files from still pictures.
FYI: I realize now that also exported MP4 Slideshow files of still pictures only from LR 5.3.  Those files also worked fine in PRE 10. HOWEVER, I did NOT include any video files in the 5.3 exported MP4 slideshows.  Instead, I manually inserted each video as separate files in the PRE 10 project timeline.
So I ‘m guessing that the problem in PRE 10 has something to do with embedding videos in the LR 5.4 exported slideshows. I see some differences in the files data below, but I don’t know enough to know how they might impact PRE 10.  I know I CANNOT change the slideshow MP4 video export settings in LR 5.4 other than the export size.
I was hoping I wouldn’t have to insert the videos in PRE 10 projects individually, but I suspect I may have to.
Does the data below provide some explanation to the problem?
    Thanks again,
    LarryER

  • Trying to export video, stuck at 0%. File in project is .mp4. I only have this problem with this type of file.

    Hello,
I am trying to export a video and I'm stuck at 0%.  The file in the video is a .mp4 that I downloaded from my own Youtube page.  I have the same problem with any project containing this type of file.  I have tried to export as .mov, .Mpeg, .wmv, .avi, with the same results.
I am able to export videos that contain other sorts of files without difficulty.
I am using a PC.  Adobe Premiere Elements 12.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!
    Travis

Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 12?
    Sides mentions....
Have you updated from 12 to the 12.1 Update? If not, please do so using an opened project's Help Menu/Update.
What is the computer operating system in use.
Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
We will be watching for your results.
    Thank you.

  • Premiere Pro CC Exporting for video problems

I am having trouble exporting videos for vimeo lately. I never used to have this problem. Instead of creating an MP4 video, when I export, an ADTS and an MD0 file are created, I am making videos for work so I usually leave the office while my videos export, so I'm not sure if any error messages are coming up. I use these settings  Compression Tutorials on Vimeo Please help me!

Well, I'd think your machine capable of decent work. Ahem.
I'm assuming the Velociraptors are internal or eSATA? Or Thunderbolt?
Taking 9 hours to render 25 minutes of a 48 minute program is ... not normal. So, you did a wondrous job of providing your hardware data & setup, best I've ever seen perhaps! So ... what's the original camera & codec, is the sequence the same frame-rate & size as the footage or interpreted, what sort of effects have you used, and what export settings. Oh, and did any 3rd party programs or plugins "touch" this footage or sequence?

  • Export video  - AVCHD Problems

    Hi all.
I'm managing m2ts files coming from Canon HF10 with PE7. Import and editing works fine; now I need to create AVCHD disc structure to copy it on HF10 SD, so I can play video on my FullHD TV.
I export video timeline using H.264 1920x1080i 30fps template (the same project configuration): the result is video.m2t file.
Using tsMuxer software, I'm importing video.m2t to generate AVCHD disk structure but I have to change m2t suffix to .ts suffix otherwise tsMuxer refuses to import the file; I take a look at video.ts properties: codec MPEG-2 1920x1080i is shown. I'm expecting H.264 codec, what's wrong???
I try to create AVCHD Disc structure anyway, but HF10 is not able to detect any scene.
I've tried Nero 9: import video.m2t file generated da PE7, I go head to create AVCHD disk but Nero starts to re-encode the video .....too much time needed......
If I import original m2ts files without editing in PE7, Nero doesn't re-encodes videos and takes few minutes to generate AVCHD disc.
What is the righ configuration in PE7 to export video, avoiding re-encoding process for creation AVCHD disc?
    Thank you for any comments
    Torix09

Per Steve's question, I'd go with a BD (Blu-ray Disc). You can use either the H.264 CODEC, or the HD MPEG-2 COCEC. (Acutally, most feel that the MPEG-2 gives better quality in their tests, but also remember that all H.264 CODEC's are not equal).
For reference, here is a chart of Allowable BD Specs.
Good luck, and if you have more details on an "AVCHD disc," please share them,

  • Audio problem after exporting videos from imovie.

When I export videos I've made in imovie, the audio becomes distorted. Clips that I have silenced, start to play during clips that they don't belong to. Any fixes?

    Hi
How did You Export videos ? To what and into what format ?
    If to iDVD then
    • First I would trash iMovie pref files and iDVDs likevice
    • Then in iMovie - Share to Media Browser and as Large (Not HD or other res.)
    • Then in iDVD from Media button Movies import it.
    • Then test play in iDVD Preview
    • If OK then - Save as a DiskImage
    • Test this with DVD-player tool
    • Still OK
    • Then burn it to DVD either via iDVD or if You don't wat to re-calculate - use Disk Util tool.
(set down burn speed to x4)

  • Dont work keyframing to export video

I'm doing keyframing, to move a video or an image on the screen. The canvas looks good, but when I export the video, moves to jumps. Why did this happen? So far I had worked well, but I going to make the last video, this began to happen.

    Hi Al:
Set to "easy setup", 29.97 fps and HDV Apple Intermediate Codec 1080i60, the result is similar (video jumps). My MacBookPro has two graphics cards. I have exchanged between them and I can see a better result with the NVIDIA GeForce 9600MGT card. With the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M card the video with many jumps.
Another test that I have done is to export the video with "using quicktime conversion", options in H264 and size in HD 1280 x 720 16:9. With the exported video with these parameters, almost not seen the jumps.
Can it be the problem in the processing power or memory graphics card?

  • Exported Video Does Not Look Right

I am sure this is a basic setting I am overlooking, but a lot of this is new to me - any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
My goal is to create a high quality 640x480 movie for Computer/Web viewing only.
    • I shot a short video using a Canon Vixia HV30 to mini DV tape using the SD standard - no problem. I guess that records at 720x480 non-square pixels at 29.97fps - is that right?
    • I used log and capture inside of FCP v6.0.5 to capture the various clips I needed - no problem (I don't think). If I open each of those clips from the finder in Quicktime they look "pretty" good, but a bit of aliasing on the diagonals and somewhat blurry, but not sure why? Everything looks sharp on the smaller camera LCD screen? and looks pretty good inside of FCP on the Canvas? If I open one of these captures directly inside of Quicktime and do a get info, it says...
    DV 720x480 (640x480)
    FPS: 29.95
    Normal Size: 640x480 pixels
    Current Size: 640x480 pixels (Actual)
All these Quicktime movies appear slightly larger in height and width than the same clips when viewed in the FCP Canvas?
If I open the Sequence Settings in FCP it says...
    Frame Size 720 x 480 NTSC DV (3:2)
    Pixel Aspect Ratio NTSC - CCIR 601 /DV (720x480)
    Field Dominance: None
    Editing Timebase: 29.97
Everything looked pretty good inside FCP so I Exported a QT Movie using "Current Settings". Then opened the resulting self-contained movie in QT and it looks pretty bad. When I get info in QT on the rendered final movie it reads...
    DV 720x480 (640x480)
    FPS: 29.97
    Normal Size: 720x480 pixels
    Current Size: 640x480 pixels (Actual)
So... the FPS and the Normal Size are not the same as the captured original clips.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Is this just the wrong Sequence Settings, Export Settings or do I have to start over an re-capture all my footage some other way?
PS - I am assuming that the DV Camcorder is recording interlaced (60 fields) rather than progressive - is that right. Do I need to de-interlace the video somehow?
    Message was edited by: ChoreoGraphics

I'm far from being an expert, but since no one has replied to you yet, and because I've been helped out here plenty of times, I'll post something and who knows -- it may be the answer.
Your post was really long but from what I can gather, you're wondering why your exported video does not look good when you open it in QuickTime. Try this: Open the video in QT, hit command-J, then click on Video Track, then at the bottom right (under Visual Settings) you'll see High Quality, Single Field, and Deinterlace. Click around on those to see if that improves what you see.

  • Error Message when trying to export video

I've been getting the following error message whenever I try to export video I've edited in Lightroom (picture below).
The error message reads, "amecommand has encountered an error. [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/DynamicLinkMediaServer1/main/shared/adobe/MediaCore/Backend/Ma ke/Mac/../../Src/Sequence/Sequence.cpp-1315]"
The error message shows up as soon as I hit the export button to export video. After I click "continue," the export progress bar at top left makes no progress.
    -I'm running Lightroom 4 with updates 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 installed.
-I'm running it on Mac OS X version 10.6.8
-The video files I'm color correcting are .mov quicktime files that have been sent over from Final Cut 7's Media Manager.
-I haven't been able to make any video exports at all. This problem occurred as soon as I made my first attempt.
-The only other software I have open currently is Final Cut 7, Safari and my email.
-Processor is 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory is 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, 32.92 gigs available on my laptop's (C:) drive.
Would appreciate any help! The error message is pictured below:

Trash your preferences. Trash your project render files. Switch off background rendering. Export without using the computer for anything else.
Oh, and if you're using 10.9 switch off App Nap.

  • After updating to PP CC 7.2.1 exported video badly scrambled

I have had no issue exporting a 7 minute film using the Vimeo 1080 codec on PP CC Version 7.0.
I recently updated to the latest, 7.2.1.   I then exported the same exact timeilne, using the same exact Vimeo Codec.  After serveral attempts,  the last 3 minutes of the exported video are badly scrambled.  No audio issue, just video.
I then tried media exporting * Only the troublesome spot from minute 6 to minute 7.   This clip exported perfectly.   This problem only seems to happen when I media export the full 7 minute sequence.
Please find attached images for reference.

    Hi Mark,
I'd be glad to provide you with my settings but I think the main issue here is that I had no encoding problems whatsoever with the exact same timeline and encoding settings in version 7.    I literally just updated via Creative Cloud and re-opened my existing project.
In any case,  please find screengrab for my settings.   I use the Arri timeline as indidcated by tech support back in version CS5.5 and moving forward.  I have also tried the DSLR sequence; same result
Checking max render and previews on/off makes no difference.
The film is scrambled consistently from frame # 8112 to the end of the film.   I tried encoding on two different computers; same result.
If there was an issue with my settings or clips, I would not have gotten great results with the 7.0 encoder.

  • Cannot export video's from iphoto '08

I want to export videos in mp4 format that were imported from my camera into iphoto '08.
The first problem is that "export..." won't work. I selected the 7 videos, then "Export...". I selected file format. However, it doesn't recognize that anything has been selected and grey's out the "Export" button.
So, I came up with an alternate plan...burn them to a cd. I selected the same 7 videos and then "burn" section from the "share" menu. It prompts me for a cd, which I inserted. Then, I see a report that these 7 video's take 90MB of space...I hit continue and the cd is burned. However, when I look at the cd later(and I have done this twice now), the cd doesn't have any of the videos, but it does contain the 172 photo's that are in the same album. Again, I did this twice. I selected the album, then typed mp4 into the search window, then selected the 7 resulting videos. And the program was telling me it had 7 photos.
I am VERY frustrated that I have found 2 bugs in this software. I used to be able to export video's all day long. Not good.
Since I am complaining now, the only reason I am doing any of this is because I want to give my friends a CD with all the photos and videos from our recent trip. They have a mac...should be piece of cake. It is not, because the video's just sit in iphoto, but I can't do anything with them. I wish slide show would seemlessly integrate photo's and video in order. My Sanyo camera does this, but my Mac doesn't. I tried sending all the photo's and video's to iDVD, and it worked, but that takes hours to do all the rendering...and at the end of the day, the quality isn't as good.....
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Phil

There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
    1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services.
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves. If you're willing to risk database corruption, you can restore the older functionality simply by right clicking on the iPhoto Library and choosing 'Show Package Contents'. Then simply make an alias to the folders you require and put that alias on the desktop or where ever you want it. Be aware though, that this is a hack and not supported by Apple.
