Exporting video to Flash

Best way to export my 3-5 meg quicktime videos to flash and keep near same quality and file size?
Thanks!
John Cook

Thank you Agrawal,
If we try Adobe Elements would we need to know the disc file name/location of the video in APASE or would elements find the clips for us?
What format are video clips stored as in APASE
Our deadline is Sat. March 1 so any help would be appreciated

  • Exporting video with Flash CC

How do I adjust settings to Flash CC for exporting video? A Quicktime video that was once about 50MB from Flash CS6 is now 7GB with Flash CC.

Thank you. However, I see no setting options in Flash Pro CC prior to
creating the video.  It's now an odd two-step process to create a Quicktime
video with the settings and size I want via Encoder.

  • Cannot Export Video from Flash

    Hi,
I just copied this dvd movie using Magic DVD Ripper. I then
open up Flash and import it to the library selecting "progressive
Download from a Web server" (I DON'T want to lose the audio) and
edit it by shortening it to just one scene. When I select "Test
Movie" from the Control menu it plays just fine. But, here's the
problem. When I try to export it (whether it's in fla, swf, or mov
format), all I get is a blank screen and I don't see the video at
all. What am I doing wrong?
    Please help!
    Thanks.

The problem is that iPhoto is looking in the wrong place for the file:
    / Volumes/Sagate/Iphoto_Library_2014.photolibrary/Previews/2014....... "
It should be looking in the Originals folder.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Exporting video from Flash to web

I've created a very short video, imported successfully to
flash, exported the .fla, .flv. .swf. skins file, .js file and the
.html file and whilst the video runs fine in Dreamweaver no matter
what I do I can't get it to run on the web all that shows up in the
exported Html file is the skin. Help please.

I thought I hit the solved button twice! In fact his solution worked for one or two flash players but you tube was not able to accept the file and Smart Notebook which I use extensively could not use the file in that format either so I still have a problem. I have Adobe flash converter but it wants to take 5 1/2 hours to convert a 6 minute video into flv format. FCE just crashes if you try to export the video to flv format. It converts the opening live type clip but then hangs up and beach balls. I wonder if it is the hi def video that is the problem. Anyway anybody else have a possible solution?

First of all, Flash is not a video editor - so you are
getting off on the wrong foot by trying to
edit video content - open the ripped video in a video editor
like premiere or final cut - get it
exactly the way you want it and then export it to FLV format
or a video format that is uncompressed.
Then encode it using the Flash Video Encoder which has a
built in wizard that asks you what you want
to do and how much compression - it is very straigh forward.
From there you can open a new Flash doc and drag the video
component to the stage - it is simple to
do and you should consult some of the many articles on flash
    video here on Adobe's site:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/video.html
    Hope this helps.

  • Trouble exporting video files HELP!

I have a few Flash animation projects that I want to put on
my demo reel, but I can't get the animations in a usable format.
The bulk of the animation is a walk cycle in a movie clip. Of
course, when I hit play in flash, I see frame one of the movie clip
standing there for 16 frames, then it skips forward and stands over
there for 16 frames, then it skips forward, but the whole animation
plays smoothly when I export the .swf file.
However, whenever I try to export a video file all I get is
this useless frame one skip that you see when you hit play in
Flash. Anyone know how I can fix this? Are there video editing
programs that will take .swf files?
So far I've tried exporting into .avi and .gif.
Whenever I try exporting to .mov, I get this message.
"The installed version of Quicktime does not have a handler
for this type of flash movie. Please consult the documentation for
    further information."

There are a couple of things you can try. None great but most
will do. First, make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime
installed. If you can afford it buy the Pro version. Its pretty
cheap and you won't regret it. It makes converting all sorts of
    files simple.
Second. I'm not sure what version of Flash you are using. The
older versions of Flash were pretty crappy at exporting video.
Flash CS3 Professional is little better but its something. Anyway,
if you don't have this download the 30day demo and give exporting
.mov from Flash CS3 a shot (after you install the latest version of
    Quicktime)
Another thing you can try do is use a screen capture software
such as SnagIt or CaptureWiz. They will allow you to capture your
Flash movie as video and both have demos you can try before you
    buy.
And one other thing I have done to capture my Flash files,
which works great, is to capture my screen to video. If you have
the capability to export your monitor to video or better yet a
firewire videocam and then someway to edit it your Flash to video
life will be easy as pie.
    Good luck

  • Issues with exporting video from MacBook Pro to flash drive

I cannot sucessfully transfer [export] video taken on my gopro camera, from my MacBook Pro to any flash drive and play them on other computers.  For some reason the files are not playable, even with quicktime.  They will not play with ANY of my video softwares such as divx or any AVCHD software on a windows computer.  I need to make a presentation for a club trip in a few days! Can any one please suggest what is wrong?  They play on the Mac using Flip player but not quicktime!
Oh, and I don't have issues with transfering or exporting Jpegs or other photo formats.  Only video.
    Message was edited by: gmob25

hmmm.. the files from GoPro are already mp4 format.  The Flash is already FAT32, brand new 16gig...
I am new to Macs but have no problems with PC's.  I suspect that because the files are exporting as shadowed files which won't play and are very small kb files, yet they are actually in excess of 140 mb each that it might have something to do with the iphoto software?  That's where the pics and video are, they imported to there by default, not to a folder in the home folder [which is where I would have expected them to be]
By the way, the GoPro is already in mp4 format so it is easy when transferring to computers. No need to convert. I tried converting them to see what the outcome might be, and none worked!  I tried every format I could find using Video converter ultimate software, which is excellent.
And the problems began when quicktime wouldnt play the file, the screen was black.

  • Exporting to video in flash cc and getting no sound

i am trying to build a movie using flash cc and have placed a mp3 voice over on its own layer. when i play it back as an swf file it works perfectly. however, when i go to  File>export>export Video   i get the .mov movie but the voice over is no longer there. any idea of what i am doing wroing?

Can you also try this -
Add a blank keyframe or a keyframe at the starting of the sound in the timeline layer. Does this help in playing sound in the exported video?

  • Bass-sound disappear when exporting to Adobe Flash Video format

I'm making a guitar-tutorial on video, and want to export parts of it to Adobe Flash video by using Adobe Media Encoder. But when I do that, it sounds like the bass-sound of the band disappear. The sound generally becomes low also. Maybe there is a connection. Anyway, with the sound I have now, I can't use the video in flash format :-(
I've tried bitrates of both 128 and 256 kbps, which should be more than plenty.
    Help would be appreciated.

    Yes
I selected DVD/CDROM in the "Data Rate" category...?
Umm....I assume you're exporting from FCP using QuickTime conversion,
so you can choose a QuickTime movie, H.264, and choose
    Frame Rate: Current
    Key Frames: Automatic
    Frame Reordering: Checked
    Quality: Best
    Encoding: Best
Data Rate: Automatic ... which then means you don't need to choose DVD/CDROM.
Give that a try and see how it looks.

  • Video glitch in Exported QT and Flash video pieces

Hello, I am having a strange problem with my playback of exported videos. Currently I am exporting out video for website use both Highband and Lowband. For my highband I export out video using quicktime conversion. In QT conversion I use Flix Flash FLV Export which I bought extra to be able to make flash videos. For my lowband videos I use QT conversion and H.264 format. The videos that I export have a weird glitch in both High and Low bandwidth attempts and at the same spots in the video. What happens is the video jumps backward a frame or two and the audio is all off from there on. Well any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you.
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   FCP HD

The videos that I export have a weird glitch in both High and Low bandwidth attempts and at the same spots in the video. What happens is the video jumps backward a frame or two and the audio is all off from there on
Have you looked at those spots in the original project timeline to verify that there is nothing strange going on at the trouble spots? Is there anything "different" about either your audio or video files in those spots?
eg. are all the audio files in your project 48Khz?
If you export a simple QT movie with no compression or conversions do you get the same problem? If not, then try using that export as your "master" and convert/compress it to what you need.

  • Using the controller feature for video media (Flash Export)

I created an interactive file in InDesign with the hope of exporting it into flash to embed in my website. Everything works, except even though I have the controller set to on and to appear when you roll-over the window, the controller does not show up. The video is embedded using a URL, and the video will still play, but for some reason the controller feature just won't show up... Anyone have any ideas?

If you use video in your InDesign SWF, even one from URL, InDesign exports resources folder to the same place with actual SWF. Inside that resources folder there´s a skin of the video player you chose for you video. When you upload main SWF to your server, you need to upload that resources folder as well. Because if you don´t, flash player never finds that skin and therefore can´t show any controls...
Here´s a screenshot of my main SWF (videotest.swf) I exported from InDesign. Because I placed a video from URL there, InDesign created videotest_Resources folder and inside of it there is SkinOverAll.swf... If I want everything to work smoothly, I need to upload them all.

  • How to make interactive video in Flash?

    Hello,
We are trying to create an interactive video in Flash. Basically, we need to put this video in our game, and players should be able to pause/replay/play it.
I found some tutorial about this topic, but all of them were created more than 2 years ago. They all use FLV/F4V files.
But now, Adobe Media Encoder doesn't support exporting FLV file.
As what mentioned in this page:
removal of FLV and F4V export features from Adobe Media Encoder, After Effects, and Premiere Pro | After Effects regio…
Flash team seems recommend users to input mp4. video rather than FLA video.
So is that mean we can use mp4 file to do interactive video, adding Action Script on the importing mp4. video?
    Thank you.

either use mp4 files or use an older ame.

  • Flash 8 video in Flash 7

I need to create videos withing these flash files. Since I can't

  • Exporting file for Flash Catalyst use?

Hey everyone.  I've made a video in Flash Pro, and I want to be able to play it in Flash Catalyst.  I'm using 5.5 of both versions, btw.  I export the Flash Pro video to a .mov file and then use Media Encoder to make that a .flv file.  I bring that file into FC and publish to web.  However, when I put those 'deploy to web' files on my website, the video doesn't play.  Everything else works except for the video.  So I put a generic, short .flv file that I downloaded from the internet into my FC file.  I published it to my website again, and everything worked fine.  The video played.  So obviously the problem with my video must be in the encoding process.
How should I do this?  I read one article online that said when I export a .mov file for FC, I should make sure that I don't have 'Fast - Compressed Header' selected in the Streaming options.  Well, I checked and I don't.  It's just under regular 'Fast'.  So what am I doing wrong here?  I've even tried converting my .mov file to a f4v file, and that doesn't work.  Help here would be so greatly appreciated.

Ah.  I think they just tested the .html file.  Though, they were trying nearly everything yesterday, so they might have tried the swf file, too.  I'll ask him this afternoon.  There's a webpage included in both deploy-to-web and run-local folders.  Both are entitled main.html.  I'm looking at both codes in Dreamweaver to see what would be different, how the code is calling to the flv video, and I can't see any change!  I switch from one code view to the other, and nothing is different.  The only difference is that in the video size area, the html file from the run-local folder is bigger.  So obviously something more was put into the run-local html file, but what I don't know.  I can't figure that out from the code.  Here's the code from the run-local file, though it looks the same in the deploy-to-web html file, too.

Any more ideas.  You've been really, really helpful so far!

How to publish a PDF with videos and flash within the file?

If the media is embedded in the pages in InDesign you can export directly - choose Export > Adobe PDF (Interactive), and on the dialog box ensure that "buttons and media" is set to "include all".
If you want to add the media after conversion, you can do it using Acrobat Pro, and the Flash/Video tool.
