Exporting video to Nexus 7

I have been unable to view my video produced using Adobe Premier Elements 10 on my Nexus 7.  Will the added features of version 12 solve this problem.

ATR,
Here is what I did.  I watched a YouTube video, actually several, about loading Flash and Firefox onto an Android device.  I followed their instructions as closely as I could and installed both applications.
Then I loaded a couple of pictures and a short video taken with my camera into PE and started trying to export it to my computer disk using the PE "Share" tab.  I copied the exported files to the Movie folder on the Nexus 7.  Before I installed Flash no file with a .flv extension would play.  The only viewable output was using the PocketPC option and the AVCHD option.  Neither was satisfactory.  However, at Bill's suggestion I tried the AVCHD option again and got pretty good results.  Other choices may be better.
After installing Flash all of the options under "Computer" worked with acceptable results.  The first option under the "Computer" band was FAV-HD 1080p.  It had the best picture and video but on a reduced screen.  Almost as good but with a full screen was FLV Web Large PAL Source.
I have not tried to download a Flash video from the web directly onto the Nexus but I have every expectation that it would work.  The Flash extensions that are working are .flv or .f4v.
I would appreciate your suggestions for settings that I could use without the Flash application.  With Google and Apple at each others throats I have no doubt that Flash could quit working at any time.
Thanks,
Kyle

  • Exporting Videos in Premier Pro CS4

    hey all!
When I go to export my finished video it asks to set all the properties like the codec and its details, res and all that jazz - I was wondering, is it not possible to have the exported video use the exact same properties as the original? It seems like I HAVE to re-encode it...
I dont want to risk losing any video or sound quality so why do I have to change the videos codec? Is there no way of just using the source video properties?
Any info would be great, cheers guys!

    Nexus,
One thing to consider with Export, is what do you plan on doing with the resulting file?
If, for instance, you need to get the Exported material onto an iPod, you would work within the restrictions of that medium, and set your Export to match that. If you are going to BD (Blu-ray Disc), you would work within the specs. of that medium - and so on, and so on.
What is your intended delivery medium?
If it is to exactly (as close as you can) your source footage, except with the edits and additions, then sticking with the same format/CODEC and size settings will get you what you need.
Let your needs dictate your Export settings. Remember, you can Export to many different settings, so you will not have to do any conversions, of the original Export.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Dont work keyframing to export video

I'm doing keyframing, to move a video or an image on the screen. The canvas looks good, but when I export the video, moves to jumps. Why did this happen? So far I had worked well, but I going to make the last video, this began to happen.

    Hi Al:
Set to "easy setup", 29.97 fps and HDV Apple Intermediate Codec 1080i60, the result is similar (video jumps). My MacBookPro has two graphics cards. I have exchanged between them and I can see a better result with the NVIDIA GeForce 9600MGT card. With the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M card the video with many jumps.
Another test that I have done is to export the video with "using quicktime conversion", options in H264 and size in HD 1280 x 720 16:9. With the exported video with these parameters, almost not seen the jumps.
Can it be the problem in the processing power or memory graphics card?

  • Export video from iMovie with maximum iPod Touch quality specs

We got an iPod touch to playback short films (made in iMovie) using Apple's composite video cable connected to a projector.
The published *TV and video* specs on the iPod touch webpage shows what the iPod Touch should be capable of playing back the following:
[1] +- H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;+
[2]+- H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;+
[3]+- MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats+
Exporting from iMovie using the *Share > Export Using Quicktime...* option and adjusting the settings to match any of those above creates files that iTunes refuses to copy to the iPod.
iMovies' *Share > Export Movie...* and iTunes' *Advanced > Create iPod or iPhone version* create videos with a bitrate of only ~1.6Mbps - both of which don't look great projected on a big screen.
Has anyone had any success exporting video at the published 2.5Mbps spec AND been able to copy them to the iPod Touch?
    Thanks!

Figured out how to get HQ 2.5mbps video on the iPod Touch.
By changing one of the options in iMovie's "Export using Quicktime..." option: "Export: Movie to MPEG-4 > Options... > Video Options..." resulted in a file that works on the iPod.
    Here's a screenshot of the settings: http://readingpsc.org.uk/files/ipodtouch-hq-export.gif
Select the 'Baseline' profile ONLY (deselect the default 'Main' profile) and the iPod Touch will accept the file at 2.5Mbps - and, oddly, even bitrates higher than that, I managed to put a 20Mbps file on the iPod Touch.
    Here are some test files:
    4:3 - http://readingpsc.org.uk/files/ipodtouch-test-2500kbps.mp4 (6.9mb)
    16:9 - http://readingpsc.org.uk/files/ipodtouch-test-wide-2500kbps.mp4 (6.9mb)
Hope that helps someone out there!

  • Exported Video Does Not Look Right

I am sure this is a basic setting I am overlooking, but a lot of this is new to me - any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
My goal is to create a high quality 640x480 movie for Computer/Web viewing only.
    • I shot a short video using a Canon Vixia HV30 to mini DV tape using the SD standard - no problem. I guess that records at 720x480 non-square pixels at 29.97fps - is that right?
    • I used log and capture inside of FCP v6.0.5 to capture the various clips I needed - no problem (I don't think). If I open each of those clips from the finder in Quicktime they look "pretty" good, but a bit of aliasing on the diagonals and somewhat blurry, but not sure why? Everything looks sharp on the smaller camera LCD screen? and looks pretty good inside of FCP on the Canvas? If I open one of these captures directly inside of Quicktime and do a get info, it says...
    DV 720x480 (640x480)
    FPS: 29.95
    Normal Size: 640x480 pixels
    Current Size: 640x480 pixels (Actual)
All these Quicktime movies appear slightly larger in height and width than the same clips when viewed in the FCP Canvas?
If I open the Sequence Settings in FCP it says...
    Frame Size 720 x 480 NTSC DV (3:2)
    Pixel Aspect Ratio NTSC - CCIR 601 /DV (720x480)
    Field Dominance: None
    Editing Timebase: 29.97
Everything looked pretty good inside FCP so I Exported a QT Movie using "Current Settings". Then opened the resulting self-contained movie in QT and it looks pretty bad. When I get info in QT on the rendered final movie it reads...
    DV 720x480 (640x480)
    FPS: 29.97
    Normal Size: 720x480 pixels
    Current Size: 640x480 pixels (Actual)
So... the FPS and the Normal Size are not the same as the captured original clips.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Is this just the wrong Sequence Settings, Export Settings or do I have to start over an re-capture all my footage some other way?
PS - I am assuming that the DV Camcorder is recording interlaced (60 fields) rather than progressive - is that right. Do I need to de-interlace the video somehow?

I'm far from being an expert, but since no one has replied to you yet, and because I've been helped out here plenty of times, I'll post something and who knows -- it may be the answer.
Your post was really long but from what I can gather, you're wondering why your exported video does not look good when you open it in QuickTime. Try this: Open the video in QT, hit command-J, then click on Video Track, then at the bottom right (under Visual Settings) you'll see High Quality, Single Field, and Deinterlace. Click around on those to see if that improves what you see.

  • How to export videos on my iPhone?

Hi all, I just got my new MBA and I'm getting used to how mac handle photos and music differently from a PC now. Since iPhone doesn't show up in the Finder as a "device" like on a Windows platform, how can I export videos on my iPhone then? The videos don't get recognized in iPhoto and I couldn't find any way to export it in iTunes. Can anyone help me here?

One convenient way is to use the Image Capture utility that comes with the MBA.  Connect the iPhone to the MBA with the USB cable and launch Image Capture located in Applications -> Untilities.  The iPhone will show up in the sidebar on the left and the videos and photos will be shown.  Select and download to desktop or wherever.
iTunes will do it too.  In the View menu make sure you have the sidebar enabled.  The iPhone will show up under Devices.  Click on it and then select the movies tab and your movies should show up for selection and download.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error Message when trying to export video

I've been getting the following error message whenever I try to export video I've edited in Lightroom (picture below).
The error message reads, "amecommand has encountered an error. [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/DynamicLinkMediaServer1/main/shared/adobe/MediaCore/Backend/Ma ke/Mac/../../Src/Sequence/Sequence.cpp-1315]"
The error message shows up as soon as I hit the export button to export video. After I click "continue," the export progress bar at top left makes no progress.
    -I'm running Lightroom 4 with updates 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 installed.
-I'm running it on Mac OS X version 10.6.8
-The video files I'm color correcting are .mov quicktime files that have been sent over from Final Cut 7's Media Manager.
-I haven't been able to make any video exports at all. This problem occurred as soon as I made my first attempt.
-The only other software I have open currently is Final Cut 7, Safari and my email.
-Processor is 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory is 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, 32.92 gigs available on my laptop's (C:) drive.
Would appreciate any help! The error message is pictured below:

Trash your preferences. Trash your project render files. Switch off background rendering. Export without using the computer for anything else.
Oh, and if you're using 10.9 switch off App Nap.

  • After updating to PP CC 7.2.1 exported video badly scrambled

I have had no issue exporting a 7 minute film using the Vimeo 1080 codec on PP CC Version 7.0.
I recently updated to the latest, 7.2.1.   I then exported the same exact timeilne, using the same exact Vimeo Codec.  After serveral attempts,  the last 3 minutes of the exported video are badly scrambled.  No audio issue, just video.
I then tried media exporting * Only the troublesome spot from minute 6 to minute 7.   This clip exported perfectly.   This problem only seems to happen when I media export the full 7 minute sequence.
Please find attached images for reference.

    Hi Mark,
I'd be glad to provide you with my settings but I think the main issue here is that I had no encoding problems whatsoever with the exact same timeline and encoding settings in version 7.    I literally just updated via Creative Cloud and re-opened my existing project.
In any case,  please find screengrab for my settings.   I use the Arri timeline as indidcated by tech support back in version CS5.5 and moving forward.  I have also tried the DSLR sequence; same result
Checking max render and previews on/off makes no difference.
The film is scrambled consistently from frame # 8112 to the end of the film.   I tried encoding on two different computers; same result.
If there was an issue with my settings or clips, I would not have gotten great results with the 7.0 encoder.

  • Cannot export video's from iphoto '08

I want to export videos in mp4 format that were imported from my camera into iphoto '08.
The first problem is that "export..." won't work. I selected the 7 videos, then "Export...". I selected file format. However, it doesn't recognize that anything has been selected and grey's out the "Export" button.
So, I came up with an alternate plan...burn them to a cd. I selected the same 7 videos and then "burn" section from the "share" menu. It prompts me for a cd, which I inserted. Then, I see a report that these 7 video's take 90MB of space...I hit continue and the cd is burned. However, when I look at the cd later(and I have done this twice now), the cd doesn't have any of the videos, but it does contain the 172 photo's that are in the same album. Again, I did this twice. I selected the album, then typed mp4 into the search window, then selected the 7 resulting videos. And the program was telling me it had 7 photos.
I am VERY frustrated that I have found 2 bugs in this software. I used to be able to export video's all day long. Not good.
Since I am complaining now, the only reason I am doing any of this is because I want to give my friends a CD with all the photos and videos from our recent trip. They have a mac...should be piece of cake. It is not, because the video's just sit in iphoto, but I can't do anything with them. I wish slide show would seemlessly integrate photo's and video in order. My Sanyo camera does this, but my Mac doesn't. I tried sending all the photo's and video's to iDVD, and it worked, but that takes hours to do all the rendering...and at the end of the day, the quality isn't as good.....
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Phil

There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
    1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services.
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves. If you're willing to risk database corruption, you can restore the older functionality simply by right clicking on the iPhoto Library and choosing 'Show Package Contents'. Then simply make an alias to the folders you require and put that alias on the desktop or where ever you want it. Be aware though, that this is a hack and not supported by Apple.

  • I'm having problem with exporting video from premiere pro cc 2014

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 and I'm having problem with exporting video.
When I click Export and media, the window for exporting appears and it starts exporting video.
But after a few minutes, it looks like it has completed exporting video and says there's a bug in exporting.
It literally says it has a problem with compiling, but I don't know what the real problem is.
I tried many things like restarting computer and Premire Pro but it's no use.
But it works when I use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 for exporting video.
If anyone knows any possibilities about why this problem happens, please let me know.

I'm having a similar issue.  When I go to export my project, I add it to the render queue, set it up with the h.264 settings that I've used with countless past versions of the program, and then hit render.  Randomly, at some point in the process, the render just stops and the ETA just keeps climbing.  I actually had to save an XMF file of the CC 2014 project and bring it into the previous CC version of Premiere just to finish it.  Even a clean re-install of CC 2014 doesn't work.

Export the file using "Current Settings" and enable "self contained".
Once the export is complete, open up Compressor, drop in your file, select the desired output settings and turn Compressor loose. If you have set up a Quick Cluster and have a multi core Mac, Compressor will use all available cores. It will be a faster process.

  • Fcp X share export media export video & audio but I simply can't work with audio

I simply wanna (and even tried to) save a movie using whichever codec, I make sure to set it up on "export video & audio", but I cannot do anything on audio since the audio file format won't be highlighted (just like if there was no sound on a video & audio file !!) It works if I choose an "audio only" file, but that's not what I want - I want to export video & audio. !!!
Is it a matter of codec or a preference setting... I just cant figure out !
Has anybody ever got the same trouble?
    Cheers

It was set to Surround and 48Khz. I set it to Stereo (and 44.1Khz for good measure, as that is the sample rate of my soundtrack) and then re-exported to H.264, and now the audo is perfectly centered.
    So that's perfect, thanks.
Now the only thing wrong with FCPX is how it crashes every ten minutes or so!

  • Issues with exporting video from MacBook Pro to flash drive

I cannot sucessfully transfer [export] video taken on my gopro camera, from my MacBook Pro to any flash drive and play them on other computers.  For some reason the files are not playable, even with quicktime.  They will not play with ANY of my video softwares such as divx or any AVCHD software on a windows computer.  I need to make a presentation for a club trip in a few days! Can any one please suggest what is wrong?  They play on the Mac using Flip player but not quicktime!
Oh, and I don't have issues with transfering or exporting Jpegs or other photo formats.  Only video.
    Message was edited by: gmob25

hmmm.. the files from GoPro are already mp4 format.  The Flash is already FAT32, brand new 16gig...
I am new to Macs but have no problems with PC's.  I suspect that because the files are exporting as shadowed files which won't play and are very small kb files, yet they are actually in excess of 140 mb each that it might have something to do with the iphoto software?  That's where the pics and video are, they imported to there by default, not to a folder in the home folder [which is where I would have expected them to be]
By the way, the GoPro is already in mp4 format so it is easy when transferring to computers. No need to convert. I tried converting them to see what the outcome might be, and none worked!  I tried every format I could find using Video converter ultimate software, which is excellent.
And the problems began when quicktime wouldnt play the file, the screen was black.
